I have an automation that’s being ‘stuck’ in a vicious circle: I can’t press the ‘Update’ button on the bottom (well…I can, but nothing happens) I can’t switch the automation off because it isn’t updated I can’t delete the automation because it isn’t switched off In the meantime the automation keeps generating error reports by email, which is annoying my boss ;-). Can somebody shine a light on this? :slightly_smiling_face:

I have been using dashdash and airtable for quite sometime now. All of a sudden , I started getting errors today. The message is AUTHENTICATION REQUIRED. In some other applications I got an error message RATE_LIMIT_ REACHED ( Rate limit exceeded) Please try again. There is no change in anything as such. I changed the API key and tried . But the same results. Can someone please help ? Hari

I can’t create a google calendar event base in the row selected timestamp, i have the google calendar account connected, but in the automation i insert the date base on my record date field and generates an error in the run test. it’s posible to crate a google calendar event base on my records date field?.

Yesterday I made a form in Jotform that fill 3 tables in my Airtable database. It creates 3 new rows (one row for each table). That works fine, but there are no links to the different tables. How can I link automatically link the last record from table A (table 1) to the last record from table B (table 2)?

what value can i put to update a check field type? when some conditions are met I want to mark my field type check. if i put value “check” i get an error.

I have created an automation that is triggered when a condition is met, an email is sent. When I test it, it says “successful”. However, when I fill out the form with a condition, the trigger doesn’t work. This works for my other automation. Any ideas I am doing incorrectly?

Hello, i’m the owner user and my collaborators connected their google account, but I can’t select their accounts to connect to an automation. how can I do it? Is it necessary for them to give me their username and password for their google accounts in order to connect them?

I need to copy a record from one table to another table (or from one base to another base). The records I need to copy are the ones I label as “Expired”. The act of copying them will be done manually, that’s not an issue. What I am looking for is how to preserve the date in the Create Date field when copying the record. Right now copying the record would trigger the Create Date field to be updated with a new date (=now date). What I want is the new copied record to cary over the original create date. One solution I came with is to: In Table 1 (the record has Create Date field with the date) In Table 1 add another field called “Original Date” Set up Automation in AirTable or Integromat. It would trigger when this “Original Date” date field is empty. When copying the record into Table 2, this Original Date will be carried over (although the Create Date will have a new date =now date). I haven’t tested Airtable Aut

Is there an automated way to send a list of records from a view each day? (The view is filtered by date to show records on or before today’s date.)

I’ve set up a simple automation to copy data into a field when a record is updated. This works fine if you are just changing a single record but sometimes we do bulk updates (cut and past multiple records) in that table and the automation only seems to fire for the first 1 or 2 records. Is there a delay or lag in terms automations firing, so is there a better way to handle this?

I have an automation run when a field is updated on a record. The field type is linked records. The automation runs a script that sorts the linked records based on the fields in the linked record (status and date). Sometimes after the automation runs, what is displayed when you expand the field or open the record to check the field to see if the sort worked, will not display correctly. When I refresh the page and look at the field again on the record it will be in the correct order. It seems to not display correctly until you refresh the page. I think the problem comes in when you make multiple updates dragging multiple linked records around in the field causing it to trigger multiple times. Is there a way for the update trigger to not go until you close out the record? There seems to be a display bug due when you update a field while an automation triggered by a field update is running. Hi All! Newbie to the Community, but not to Airtable. I have a Table, Table 1, where info is populated by form submission from everyone in my office who completes a task. I am trying to feed a subset of that information into Table 2. (Let’s assume for some reason that creating a new View of Table 1 won’t meet my needs.) My Trigger tests perfectly: But my automation Action keeps failing. This is a simple pull - a number is entered into a form that populates a record. I want it to pull the record identifier (which is, in both tables, a number entry Primary Field) over from Table 1 to Table 2. I cannot fathom what would be going wrong here!

I can’t update the collaborators field when creating a new record, I want to add collaborators by default. how can i do that?

Hi all, I’m creating a task management Airtable and want to be able to create periodic tasks. I think this can be achieved by Automations - using something like the ‘due date’ is passed or ‘complete’ is ticked as the trigger. It’s at this point I’m out of my depth as I think I then need to run script to copy the trigger record and add a new due date. Is anyone possibly able to help please? I would be prepared to pay someone if they want a little consultancy task to help me out. Many thanks!

I just created an Automation and turned it on but when I go back it shows that the automation is off and when I click on it it shows that its on and I can’t turn it on or off. Therefore I cannot delete the automation.

Hello- I’d like to create an automation when the latest record in a view was one week ago, I want to create a new record with a date one week later from the last record. How would I fill in the date slot in the automation to create these new records? Thank you!

Hi all Relative Airtable newbie here but hit my first real roadblock and hoping the community can help. I have a base with two tables linked via one field. For context, it’s an action figure DB. Cause that’s how I roll. :slightly_smiling_face: Table1: Figures Table2: Accessories Figures is linked to Accessories via 1 field that allows multiple entries. eg: 1 figure can have many accessories. Accessories are a seperate table as they have their own unique properties that don’t fit in the Figure table such as colour, type and picture. Each Figure record has a 100% Complete field that is a tick box. Each accessory has an Owned field, also a tick box. While you can tick each Accessory accordingly, I’m looking for a way to automate it such that when ticking Complete on a figure, it looks at all the linked records and flags them as Owned Is this possible? Hi there, I have a table, we’ll call it “Table A”, where I capture all of the medical history of a select population (it’s dogs, in case anyone was wondering). A dog’s complete medical work up happens over a series of appointments. So I have a second table (Table B) that keeps track of medical appointment requests and the services that were requested on an appointment basis. So quick recap, Table A = dog basis, Table B = individual appointment basis. There are several fields in Table A that we tract the dates which services were performed (so Rabies vaccination given 10/15/2020 for example). Since many services can be performed in a single appointment, I’d like to automate the population of the fields in Table A that correspond to appointments in Table B. But I also need the flexibility of being able to manually enter values into Table A (so look ups won’t work for me). I cannot figure out how to get my “Appointment Dates” in Table B to populate individual service date

I have an automation that runs a script when records are created. The script has two input variables: the record ID of the created record, and an array of IDs taken from an array field in the created record. When a record is created without an immediate value for the second input variable (the array) the script run fails with “Failed to construct the value for “Script input””. I suspect this is happening because the script input generator is trying to do array.IDs and the array is null because the field is empty. But the correct behavior (IMO) would be to simple give my script a null value for that input variable, rather than filling my logs with failed script runs. Anyone else seeing this? If so, how does one report bugs to the airtable team?

hi there i have an issue using the automation in airtable. I have 2 tables in one base What i want: when i create a new record in table 1 airtable automatically creates this records in table 2 with all selected fields (status, date, name…) all my fields in table 2 are populated with the step1/ table 1 fields my automation creates a new records row but all fields are empty. when i run the test to check my automation everything works fine same when i create a duplicate record from table 1 Is there a setting to change or something? thanks for your help
