Hi there, I'm looking to bulk create a handful of training sessions based off an initial kickoff date. I have a table of training sessions and a template table with an offset from the first session. Most trainings run on a regular basis, but sometimes we need to reschedule. For this reason, I need the result to be a normal, editable field (not a formula I can't touch). I am using automations to create the number of sessions I need. I also have an automation to populate the first training session based on a value on another table that will be entered manually. I can't figure out how to populate the subsequent dates for sessions based off an offset. I tried a DATEADD() formula to sum my duration field (the offset) with the original date, but that didn't work. In plain English, if session 1 is today, session 2 will be next week in the same time and place, session 3 will be 2 weeks from today, etc. Any ideas? I a

Hi all,Is there a way to view a breakdown of automation runs by time period (e.g. billing period) and more importantly by base > automation?I want to bring my run numbers down (so I don' have to upgrade) but it's not easy to see which automations are eating into my quota. I know I can see number of automation runs in total per workspace, for the current cycle, but need more detail than this.Thanks! 

I want to create a cash flow table for a month, where the beginning of the month balance automatically or with the help of a formula gets data from the end-of-month balance of the previous month.Manually entered at the beginning of January "beginning of the month", all the rest is automatic.And so on for all months.I have tried to do this with a formula, but unfortunately with no success.I need your help 🙂

ContextI'm putting together a volunteer sign up sheet (an Interface). The sheet goes live at a specific time, and people will be waiting by their computers so they can get the more desirable shifts. Once a shift is assigned, it no longer appears on the sheet (it is removed from the View underlying the Interface). However, it's not immediate. This means multiple people can click a shift's "Pick Shift" button before the record is removed from the view and button inaccessible.I need the first person to click the button — or at least the first click we hear about because of latency — to be the one who gets the shift. (This would be trivial in SQL, including in Supabase on which Airtable is built, but, alas…).Believe-it-or-not, I figured out how to do this (or at least get extremely close) with a Script in an automation. It's low-key bonkers, but it works! The problem I'm hitting now is how to notify the correct winner.The setup: My schema (simplified)

Hi there,I am new to using automations and hopeful this is something I'm just overlooking. I'm having trouble with an automation for a "Shift Reminder" SMS.Goal is:1. At a Trigger time find records with a Start Date of "day after" trigger2. Send SMS to associated cell numbers with each trigger to remind of shiftI have no issues if there is only one record returned. The SMS goes through without issue. If there is a second record returned the first record SMS goes through but the second record SMS is ignored.Would be so appreciative of any help! Thanks!  

Hi, What I would like to do is simple : When I update a record in table "Participations", I want to check if this record is the earliest (in term of date) record linked to a specific company. If it is, in single select field "Participation active?" select automatically value "active".How would you do that? I have trouble adding the condition of selecting the record with the earliest date among records linked to the same company. Thank you, Have a nice day, Arthur 

I have an automation that runs based on the trigger, when a record is created.  This automation runs perfectly in all tests.  However, when I run a process that creates 5-10 records within 2 minutes, the automation does not run for all records.   This clearly tells me that the Airtable infrastructure cannot handle even the smallest volume.  This is deeply concerning.  I would not expect an automation to run into volume issues until the volume was over 1000 a minute.Has anyone else seen this similar poor performance from Airtable interfaces?

I have a field generating an email for each person on a list: CONCATENATE( {First Name},".",{Last Name},"@Gmail.Com")  This formula creates a First.Last@Gmail.com list in my "Resource email:" field.The issue is, when I create an automation to send an email to the "Resource email:" field, it throws an error, showing that the email it read for that field was just ".@gmail.com". It's not detecting the first or last within the automation. The automation is set up as "when a record is created"  currently as well. Any help on getting the email field to read correctly? 

Hello,I need to send a csv file to my email when a record matches a condition. I was hoping simple scripting would work, but it seems like this is not yet doable with native Airtable tools. I saw in a previous post that someone suggested to "use a script that creates the csv or Excel file using the CloudConvert service (or another similar service) and attaches the csv file to a record". I will only need to do this max 25 times a day, which it seems like CloudConvert offers for free. I would like to try to make this process free. I tried setting up an API key on Cloud Convert but my script is saying it is unauthenticated. Is anyone familiar with how to set this up? 

Hello Community, I need help with one task that should help us save lots of time. We have two tables with attachment field in both tables. One table is called Appointments where we upload an invoice in the attachment field called "Invoice" and another table is called "Contacts" where we store all invoices in the field "All Invoices" for a certain contact. What we are trying to do: When an invoice added to attachment field in "Appointments", we want a copy of this invoice to automatically go to a dedicated attachment field in "Contacts". When I try Gemini AI help, the answer was like this: Airtable doesn't currently offer a built-in way to automatically copy attachments between fields when one is updated. However, you can achieve this using a combination of scripting and automations. Here's a general approach:1. I have the following piece of code in an automation.      plantingsWateringsRecordId = await plantingWateringTable.createRecordAsync({ "Watering": [{ id: recordId }], "Planting": [{ id: planting.id }], "Crop Picker" : {name: planting.getCellValueAsString("Sort Name & Category")} })     The Crop Picker field is a single select field and I want it to expand the selections if the value passed in is not already there. It appears that this can be done using typecast:true but I can't for the life of me figure out where to put it. The documentation is not very clear about this.Any help would be much appreciated.Thanks

Hello! I am really hoping someone may be able to assist me with getting data entered from a record in a specific column in one table, can generate a record in another table, with that data.. For Example:- We have Engineers who enter their Projected monthly forecasts for CIP (Capital Investment Projects) all at once, each record indicates a month. These Engineers enter about 1 years worth of estimated budget amounts, so we are talking multiple records. I specifically want to capture the data entered in the "Forecast Amount" Column of this table, to auto-generate, or copy that data to another table titled "Submitted Forecast". Additionally, I would like the DOF (Date of Forecast) to display on the record that is copied over to the Submitted Forecast Table. Can ANYONE assist me with this request please?! Hello, I have a table with reference fields from another table. I want to lock the values in those reference fields if a record has a certain value in a selected column and not have them updated even if those values are updated in the referenced table. Does anyone know how to accomplish this? Thank you!

Hi Airtable Community,I have a base with different automations with the same trigger. I would like to set an order by with these automations are triggered.For example, I would like Automation one to be triggered first. After automation 1, the automation 2 should start immediately.the easiest would be, to just add another “Find records” and another Repeating Group in this automation. Unfortunately, its not possible to add anything behind a repeating group.I Want specific phases and tasks for projects to be generated. Both needs to be linked to the project and the tasks should be linked to the phases. To do so, I need the phases to be created first (trigger=new project meets condition). After that, I need the tasks to be created and linked to the phases. When both automations start at the same time, some of the tasks are not properly linked because the phase was not created yet. (see Screenshot).

Hi there, I'm having issues with an Automation that I've set up anytime a record is updated between Airtables that are all within the same Workspace and have been granted the same permissions at a Workspace level. I'm getting a message that says the update failed due to insufficient permissions.  However, each Airtable belongs to the space workspace and has the same group permissions. Anyone know how I get support on troubleshooting this complex issue?

Is this possible? I am unable to get the attachment mechanism working in an automation with send email action, or am simply misunderstanding. I just want to send all records in a view as a csv.

What I am trying to do is change the Status of a Project once the Status of all six associated tasks (in separate tables) are set to complete. I tried doing a formula approach with calculation fields (count) using this formula below (but the formula in the field gets cut in half once I save and close so its useless). I asked support if there was a character limit but they could not even answer that simple question.I am not married to the formula approach, in fact I'd rather not do it that way and have 13 extra fields in the Project record. Hi,I have seen a few posted questions that are similar to my scenario, but I need more specific assistance. I am trying to update my Appointments grid view records when someone cancels their appointment that they've scheduled through Calendly. I have tried to create the right formulas for record look up in Zapier and Airtable Automations, but they keep coming up empty. In Zapier, it looks like it might be a multi-step search which is only available on paid plans and I really don't want to have to pay for another subscription to do what might be possible in Airtable alone. Please help! I have several automations with the trigger of "new row created in Google sheets". The action is for the data from Sheets to create a new record in AT. "Test automation" works fine. But then the automation works SOMETIMES! It wasn't running at all. Then all of a sudden, it will pull in a record. Yesterday it pulled in every record I created. Now it's doing almost nothing. I have tried it with Google Form submission as a trigger also - same problem.I really can't pay for another service to do this. I had this working last year, now can't figure out where I'm going wrong. Thank you for your help!

Hi,I have a to-do list table that I want to share a view of it with a collaborator so that she can add her own tasks and create a new, bigger table for a project that both of us are working on.This is how I do it:First, I created a new base where I added her as a collaborator. In this base, I created a synced table from my own to-do list table. To merge with her tasks, I created a project table in the same base and created an automation (when a record is created in the synced table, create a record with all the fields in the project table). This works well.Secondly, I want it to update records in the project table whenever the to-do list table is updated. However, it seems that I’m not able to find Record IDs for the automation to update records. I know how to create a field containing record IDs in the synced tab

Hi,I'm trying to attempt accounts receivables reconciliation in Airtable. I have managed to get email bank statements parsed with Zapier, which creates short strings like "NN has the paid the bill 499,00" in one table ("statements"). In another table I have orders ("Orders"), some of which are open (and now marked "paid" by hand).I had thought I easily could make an automation triggered by the creation of a new record in Statements, which would check for any open orders matching on the name. I tried putting two 'Find records' actions after each other, where I thought I could feed the output of the first into the second, thereby filtering down to a result with only those records for which there is a match in both tables. After that I would create a Repeating action to update all those record.Unfortunately I couldn't find a way to feed the output (list of names) to the second 'Find records' to match a contains -filter. Hi all, I am new to airtable and fumbling my way to create a resource directory for a group of companies.  What I am stuck on at the moment is how to adjust the options shown in a dropdown list if a name is not shown in another column. Screenshot below - is it possible to only have the names listed in the respective 'Provider' cell, in the Select dropdown? So in the example below, only have 'Thrive' and 'StartupQ' in the Select dropdown for that row?   I hope this makes sense! Many thanks,   

I'm new-ish to AirTable formulas (though experienced with spreadsheet formulas) and I have a unique situation where I would like to calculate a calendar date based on a combination of units that include Frequency (eg, monthly or weekly), Day of Week (Mon, Tue, etc.), and Week# of Month.For example:  X event occurs every three months on the third Weds of that month. These schedules are variable by record (it's a client service schedule), so some clients are serviced once per week while others are serviced once every other month, etc. The goal is to show at least the next service date after today (and if possible, all future service dates throughout the year) on a calendar view. But I cannot just add a number of days or weeks to calculate the next date because the schedule needs to place service events on the particular week/day/month combo.I do not have a starting formula yet because I'm not sure what logic is needed to pull together the variables.
