What I am trying to do is change the Status of a Project once the Status of all six associated tasks (in separate tables) are set to complete. I tried doing a formula approach with calculation fields (count) using this formula below (but the formula in the field gets cut in half once I save and close so its useless). I asked support if there was a character limit but they could not even answer that simple question.I am not married to the formula approach, in fact I'd rather not do it that way and have 13 extra fields in the Project record. Hi,I have seen a few posted questions that are similar to my scenario, but I need more specific assistance. I am trying to update my Appointments grid view records when someone cancels their appointment that they've scheduled through Calendly. I have tried to create the right formulas for record look up in Zapier and Airtable Automations, but they keep coming up empty. In Zapier, it looks like it might be a multi-step search which is only available on paid plans and I really don't want to have to pay for another subscription to do what might be possible in Airtable alone. Please help! I have several automations with the trigger of "new row created in Google sheets". The action is for the data from Sheets to create a new record in AT. "Test automation" works fine. But then the automation works SOMETIMES! It wasn't running at all. Then all of a sudden, it will pull in a record. Yesterday it pulled in every record I created. Now it's doing almost nothing. I have tried it with Google Form submission as a trigger also - same problem.I really can't pay for another service to do this. I had this working last year, now can't figure out where I'm going wrong. Thank you for your help!

Hi,I have a to-do list table that I want to share a view of it with a collaborator so that she can add her own tasks and create a new, bigger table for a project that both of us are working on.This is how I do it:First, I created a new base where I added her as a collaborator. In this base, I created a synced table from my own to-do list table. To merge with her tasks, I created a project table in the same base and created an automation (when a record is created in the synced table, create a record with all the fields in the project table). This works well.Secondly, I want it to update records in the project table whenever the to-do list table is updated. However, it seems that I’m not able to find Record IDs for the automation to update records. I know how to create a field containing record IDs in the synced tab

Hi,I'm trying to attempt accounts receivables reconciliation in Airtable. I have managed to get email bank statements parsed with Zapier, which creates short strings like "NN has the paid the bill 499,00" in one table ("statements"). In another table I have orders ("Orders"), some of which are open (and now marked "paid" by hand).I had thought I easily could make an automation triggered by the creation of a new record in Statements, which would check for any open orders matching on the name. I tried putting two 'Find records' actions after each other, where I thought I could feed the output of the first into the second, thereby filtering down to a result with only those records for which there is a match in both tables. After that I would create a Repeating action to update all those record.Unfortunately I couldn't find a way to feed the output (list of names) to the second 'Find records' to match a contains -filter. Hi all, I am new to airtable and fumbling my way to create a resource directory for a group of companies.  What I am stuck on at the moment is how to adjust the options shown in a dropdown list if a name is not shown in another column. Screenshot below - is it possible to only have the names listed in the respective 'Provider' cell, in the Select dropdown? So in the example below, only have 'Thrive' and 'StartupQ' in the Select dropdown for that row?   I hope this makes sense! Many thanks,   

I'm new-ish to AirTable formulas (though experienced with spreadsheet formulas) and I have a unique situation where I would like to calculate a calendar date based on a combination of units that include Frequency (eg, monthly or weekly), Day of Week (Mon, Tue, etc.), and Week# of Month.For example:  X event occurs every three months on the third Weds of that month. These schedules are variable by record (it's a client service schedule), so some clients are serviced once per week while others are serviced once every other month, etc. The goal is to show at least the next service date after today (and if possible, all future service dates throughout the year) on a calendar view. But I cannot just add a number of days or weeks to calculate the next date because the schedule needs to place service events on the particular week/day/month combo.I do not have a starting formula yet because I'm not sure what logic is needed to pull together the variables.

Hello! I have an event workback schedule set up with a formula column to auto-generate a due date based on what date I specify in my date column (see ex. formula below). However, I would like to have the formula column auto-generate a list of due dates based on one 'master' date. I BELIEVE this would be an automation, possibly?For example, we have an event coming up on April 7th. I would like to specify 'April 7th' in Airtable and have all the due dates in my work back schedule auto-update. I have an automation that is sending a Google Doc link via gmail. But when the link sends, an underscore is left out somehow, so the link doesn't work. Any idea why? I support an organization fundraising in a variety of currencies (USD, GBP, EUR, CAD, ILS). To simplify the process for the person maintaining the list, I have a single number field for the donation amount and a single linked field to select the appropriate currency (this is opposed to having 5-6 different currency fields on the intake form and needing to choose the correct currency field each time). We found that it was easier and faster to use a linked filed as opposed to a single select for currency.I would like to keep a running total of all the donations' values in both USD and EUR so I can use rollup fields to display overall amounts on a dashboard (i.e. my 100 donations in a variety of currencies are worth a total of USD 10,000 or EUR 9,500).Exchange rates are "static" in that if on the day of the donation, the ILS:USD rate is 4:1, it should stay calculated at that rate forever, even if in a year from now the rate is different. Hi all - I’m trying to run an automation using a 3rd party Webhook. When a new Post is sent live, or updated, in my WordPress site I want to send various bits of info about that Post to AirTable. Everything works fine when I use ‘Create Record’ (so I know the webhook works) but obviously if I update the Post at any point it just adds it as a duplicate. So what I want to do is use Update Record instead (I think?). When a new Post is created, add it to AT, if that post is updated, update the record in AT. However - my understanding from this post Update record action failing (error: received invalid inputs.) - #3 by Brian_Nana-Sinkam, given what @Kamille_Parks says, is that I can’t use a Record ID from my Webhook e.g. Post_GUID. I need to use the AT Record ID. Which I don’t have available it seems.

Hello! I want to use the AI text generation field to query the LLM. When I use GPT 4.o with the same prompt on ChatGPT it works fine, however when I use the same prompt in Airtable, I get "no information found" as e reply (my prompt asks to provide this answer if there is no information found for the question). So I wonder:Which AI model does Airtable use for users that are not on the Enterprise tier?Why the difference in answers?If Airtable is using GPT, is it using a version that can and will use "Tools" to answer the prompt?Thanks for your help.

Hi,I have table of properties, faults and professionals.When I have a fault, I create a new record in the faults table and select the property where the fault occurred and the professional who worked on the fault.If the problem has been solved, I change the status to "Done" and send an email (with the help of automation) with a request for payment (that the customer will transfer payment to the professional) for the work.I want that when I buy the materials to deal with the problem, I have the option to add it to the email sent to the customer.For example - if an apartment had to be painted and there was no paint, I went to buy the paint, now when I mark this task as "done" I would like the customer to receive an email with a payment request for the painting work (payment to the professional) and also for the paint (payment for the supplier) when sending a request for payment I send the customer the private bank details of the professional/supplier

Hi,I work for a property management company.I made a table for assets, faults, professionals and suppliers.When there is a fault, I add a fault to the fault table and link to the property where it happened.In addition, I add to the fault the professional in the fault.When the fault is over, an email is sent to the customer to whom the property belongs and in the email there is a request for payment for the fault with the professional's bank details (for bank transfer).So far it's working great!When we need to buy materials for the breakdowns.I wanted to do the same as with the professionals only with suppliers.I mean, when there is a malfunction for the purpose of the example - painting an apartment - and there is no paint then we buy from one of the suppliers, at the end of the malfunction I would like to ask the customer in the email of the automation to transfer payment for the supplier as well.It also works great!

Hello! Apologies if this is already solved or discuss or I am just missing something obvious. I am trying to create a button on an interface that does the following: Run an automation that has a custom script, create a new record in a different table, and then navigate the user to different section of the Interface. I don't see any automation actions that would navigate the user. I do see that a button can be used on its own to navigate the user to a different section of the interface, but I don't see any way to combine these methods into one swift action. Is something like this possible? Thank you in advance for your help! James 

I use the found records automation to create my report and the date is in the correct format, her DoB is 10th JulyBut when I add this as a grid of records to the Send an Email automation, the DoB shows as 7/10/1953 i.e. 7th October.and this is what arrives in the recipient's email.   

Hi,I have an automation which sends emails reminders to a set of users every week. When it emails the users, it's setup that I get CCd on the reminder email also.After the email is sent, the automation updates a field of the next reminder date (which is a formula that sets the date to 7 days from the current reminder date).This works sporadically which is strange to me.Why might this happen? And what's the fix? 

Hello,I have weird behavior when sending a webhook.For this project, I am working on a free airtable space. So I can't use scripts.This is a table in which I have large images. I want to reduce them (basically, go from 3-4 MB to 150 KB).I have a Make scenario which is fine except that it receives the duplicate webhook and therefore triggers twice.In Airtable, I have an automation that will copy a webhook into an attachment field to launch the webhookthe trigger: when the “Image” field is updatedthe webhook: a formula = WH Make & record ID Airtable & a timestamp of the modified las (without the timestamp, the WH is always identical and Airtable only triggers it the first time)When I modify the image, the autom airtable only fires once, but Make receives 2 webhooksAnyone have any idea why? (and a solution)

Good morning everyone.I have two different databases because I organize two different companies and sell cars. Both have their own car stock but I would like to create a table with both stocks together (they have the same column format). The IDs of the two tables are AUTONUMBER but I could use the frame as the unique id.I currently did this:1) created a synchronized table from database B to database A2) created record creation automation from database sync table B to table A (works)3) when I try to create the record update automation it always gives me an error, I don't know what to put in the RECORD ID field because it only offers me the data from table B, not AI also tried with Zapier, Make, anyway...How can I solve it? I am going crazy!!

Hello Airtable Community,I have a relatively complex use case.I have a table in which projects are created, a table for tasks and a table for project phases. Then I have a template table with standard tasks and a template table with standard phases. I would now like both the standard phases and the standard tasks to be created by an automation when a button for a project is clicked.I have created two automations for this, one for the tasks and one for the phases. Everything works fine. Both the tasks and the phases are linked to the project. However, the tasks are not automatically linked to the phase. The aim is that, for example, when all tasks in phase 1 are completed, the phase is also completed.Thank you and best regards.Mirko 

I am working on creating a system to track training for my company and am running into an issue I can't figure out. I have built the database and would like my "Ring Central Training" table to be updated once a feedback form is submitted so that way, we have an automated way of checking off when employees have gone through training. The Ring Central Training table will ideally have all of the employee names there now as well as what teams they belong to. The issue I am having is that once I created the automation I have the error that there is invalid inputs. Ideally I would like the "Scheduled" option in the Ring Central table to get change to completed once the form is submitted as well as the Date of Training to change based on when the form is submitted. Below is all relevant screenshots regarding my issue.
