I have a problem with a script that worked and all of a sudden, stopped to work:"App Name" is a linked record field. "Add App On Sign Up" is another linked record field. If I have a custom script as an action in an automation, is there anyway to have a catch or else statement that would create a failed automation notification like there is for the built in actions?Meaning, how can I set up a notification system if a custom script fails?

I have table A and table B.When a record in table A is created, I have an automation that creates the same record in table B. However, the primary column in table B stays blank. How can I fill the primary column in table B with the primary column value of table A?

I want to set available appointments in one field but I don't want to add them manually because there is a lot of them. Is there any change that I can add them with automation? Otherwise I have to pick every single one of them on calendar and also pick a time.Thanks for your help.

Hi there! I am trying to create a form that will allow someone to book a specific desk for a specific period of time. I would like to be able to automate the form to A) Remove a desk as an option if it's already been booked during a specific time period and B) Add it back as an available option after the specific time period has ended. Example:  We have desk ABC and desk DEF available. Person 1 goes to the form and books desk ABC from May 10-12. Person 2 goes to the form looking to book a desk from May 10-12: desk ABC will not be an option because it's already been booked during that time period so they book the available desk DEF. Person 3 goes to the form to book a desk for May 13 and both desk ABC and desk DEF are once again available for booking.  I am stuck on how to get this set up via a condition or formula and any help would be appreciated! 

I have a table of projects. Associated with each project is multiple teams and multiple quarters. Both the quarters and teams fields are sourced from linked records.I would like automation (or script) to create related projects in another table, one per multiselect field combination. I've tried creating a script with ChatGPT, but no luck. I also so some other solutions in the community that were similar, but not quite the same as my situation. Any suggestions?

Hi everyone, New to Airtable but love it so far, and am hoping to have the following question answered. I am creating a project / task tracker for my team, ultimately going to create an interface which would have the following hierarchy:Project > Tasks > Subtasks. I know I only have 3 levels so I'm trying to display the DRI name under the Subtask table in order for me to group it correctly. I created the correct tables which are linked properly (I think). Here is my question: How can I mirror the DRI in my Project table to auto-populate in my task and subtask tables? This will help me group my views properly. Thank you

But no matter how I try to pass the user onto the actual user field, it won't take it. "Cannot accept the provided value."

Anyone know how to fix this. Is it because airtable is unable to extract data from a formula field to update a date field. 

Problem Description: In the Airtable automation configuration, the "Find records" step successfully found matching employer records, but in the "Update record" step, the error "Received invalid inputs" is still displayed. We have confirmed that the "Record ID" and "Fields" are using the correct output values from the "Find records" step, but the issue persists. 

Hello everybody.It is possible to have a view of type "Locked view" and at the same time of type "Personal view".The thing is that I have views created exclusively to generate automations. So I want, on the one hand, for no one other than me to access them (no one but me needs to be bothered by displaying this view in the list of available views), and on the other hand, to prevent myself or someone else from modifying them by mistake.If not, what would be the best way to protect a filter view that is used exclusively to generate automations? The idea is to prevent adding records there, and at the same time having its configuration manipulated by mistake.Thank you.

Hello, I am running into the problem where if two users trigger my automation at the same time or before the automation finishes then the second data point will not run/create a record. Is there a way to setup a queuing system where the second trigger can hold until the automation has completed?Thank you!

I have an automation that once a checkbox is checked, it creates a new record in a different table. It worked quite well and today it failed repeatedly saying "Creating the record failed due to insufficient permissions."I'm the owner of the account so i assume it does not mean my own insufficient permissions.... can someone explain this message and help resolve it? 

Hi everyone! I'm struggling to create an automation. We have a list of customer-support interactions that are either marked as Open, In Progress, or Resolved. For the most part, interactions are resolved same-day, but occasionally, some will need to be left as Open or In Progress, creating the need for a daily email summary that lists those unresolved interactions (if there are any). With that, I've been trying to create a scheduled automation that runs at 8:30 AM every day based on a view (that is set to only show unresolved interactions), and I'd like the automation to only send the email if there are items within that view. I've been trying to configure this, but with no luck. I'm not sure what I'm doing incorrectly (maybe it's my "Find records" step?) There's currently 1 record within that view, but when I test the automation in it's current state (attached) it's not meeting the conditions. Any ideas? Thank you in advance! 

Greetings,I am working with 4 tables of approximately 10,000 records each. The primary field is the name of a specific medical product. I am trying to go through and categorize these products so I also have a field for "category" with multi-agent selection as the field type based on the type of product it is. Some, but not all, of the medical products will be on multiple tables. Is it possible to set up an automation so that if I categorize an agent on one table, it will automatically update the category for that agent on any other tables it happens to be on? I am working on an automation to Find records with a matching agent (medical product) and update them. I believe I am stuck on fine tuning the update since it will be dynamic. I can't quite get it to match the category I want it updated to. Can I do this with just 1 automation or do I need to do 2? How should I structure it/them? Thank you for helping. 

I work in a school and manage a process where teachers submit a form after grading tests. This form triggers an automated email to the parents. Currently, if multiple students are submitted in the same form, all their names appear in each email sent out. I want to personalize these emails so that each parent receives only their child’s information.I am considering writing a script that can be triggered by a button. The idea is that when the button is pressed, the records would be split by each student's name, and an automation would then trigger the sending of these personalized emails.Has anyone implemented something similar or have ideas on how to best approach this? I would greatly appreciate examples of scripts or advice on setting up these automations effectively.Thank you in advance!

I have a base where I want to track how Contacts engage with Events (dozens of them). I have one single-select status field per Event on the Contact record and would ideally like to use those fields to programmatically link the two records.For instance:Contact James Doe has the status "Invited" in the field "Conference 2024" (which corresponds to the Event record Conference 2024). In that case, I want to automatically link Conference 2024 in the "Events invited to" linked records field on James Doe's record (appending it to any existing records there).I know I could set this up for every single event individually with automations, but I would like to avoid doing this dozens of times for dozens of different events. I've also played around with the two record linking extensions I saw, but neither seems to do what I need.Is there any good way to say "when field '[eventName]' on a Contact has value 'ABC', link the record to Event record [eventName]"?Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Hello! I'm hoping someone here is great with automations/scripting/something to help. I'm trying to run an automation every Sunday to randomize work tasks for my team and then send an email or Teams message. I want it to refresh the randomization when this runs at it's scheduled time. I have 6 members, and already have their off days input. The Airtable randomize values extension works for what I'm wanting (and avoids the cells that are already filled with "Off"), but I can't run it on an automation and honestly, I don't know enough about JavaScript to change the code. Hello, I am stuck.I have a table that I upload a csv from my databaseThe table has records (all records have a unique GuestID) that are either the parent record (field name GuestAccountOwner is equal to true)Or a child account where GuestAccountOwner is equal to false and GuestAccountID is equal to the GuestID of the parent record.I am trying to output in a new table on one record for each parent, but combining data from both parent and child. So the record would have the ParentName, Parent Email, ParentPhone but on the same record there would be Child1Name, Child1DOB, Child2Name, Child2DOB. Based on the DOB of each child there would also be a Child1BirthMonth and Child1BirthYear, etc for each child as well.Basically the automation has to go through and find the parent records, count the chidren and put it all on one line, I can either have all the fields ready with that naming convention or it can be added on the fly.Is this possible?

I have a form for inputting contact and basic account information for new sales (form 1) - when the form is submitted, it sends a survey that the customer needs to fill out (form 2).Depending on one of the fields from form 1, form 2 can be one of five different form views (specific questions and information are pertinent to specific account types).I currently have a nested IF function and hardcoded URLs for the five different forms - is there a way to make this connection dynamic instead?  Concern would be something like, if a sixth account type was created it breaks the workflow.
