Hi Airtable Community,I have two table named "Task Assignment" and "Employees". I have linked the Employees table to the Task Assignment table using a linked record called "Assignee". Now I want to send an email every time I add a task inside the "Task Assignment" table. I have added a lookup field in the "Task Assignment" but is is not available in the automations.Please let me know how to tackle the issue. Thanks

Hi all,I'm here again with my automation not working correctly. The last time I was having this problem, it was because the automation was set to trigger on "Create new record." Having learned from that, I created this automation using a checkbox field update as the trigger. I just cannot see what I'm doing wrong.I'll admit there's a problem with my trigger table - the Primary field is not being used properly. It was set up by my designer and I can't change it mid-season. Is that the problem? Is there any workaround?It's just creating blank records.

I'm getting a redundant record when using the For Each [multi-select] create record on a Form is created trigger. Simply delete or is there a better way?Fee Table, 'Add Fee' Form has a multi-select 'Fee Type' field (advance on signature, advance on delivery, advance on publication, royalty)Automation trigger 'When a form is created', with a  For Each [Fee Type] create record. Works beautifully apart from the initial record which has all of the multi-select options. I used Kuovonne's delete record script to delete this redundant record which is clean and fast.But feels like a workaround - like I missed a lesson at school. Any pointers?  

I have an automation triggered by a record matches condition which is linked to a formula field. The automation executes a Script step after which updates fields that in turn reset the trigger field to "0". However  once the trigger condition is TRUE i get multiple executions of the automation in my automation log. Why?I have async operations in my script...could that be the cause for airtable triggering the automation multiple times before the first automation run finished?

Hello therei have an automation that was working fine, now when i try to test it, i can't get past the trigger. the trigger works, but when i try to evaluate the conditions for the first action group (or any other action group) i get an error instead of an "yes, matches conditions" or "no, doesn't match conditions". strangely, this automation worked until now. is the error possible related to airtable general maintenance or issues and not to my automation at all. or do you guys know what kind of conditions throw such an error instead of getting evaluated. very strange 😞

Hi y’all. I’m breaking my head over the next automation.I want to copy records from one table (A) to another (B) or update existing records in table B (Input table=A ; Copy table=B)Input Table A is using the import excel possibility. This is raw data from another source. In order to import correctly i’ll have to empty table A every time before importing the new data. Not using this function is out of the option because certain data fields disappear when trying to copy paste. My solution so far:Automation 1: when imported i create linked field to table B and let the automation update this field with the filenumber (unique) from table A. Thus A&B are linked. after deleting the data in A, with the next import this wil link A back to B no matter it’s position. Automation 2: via lookup fields from table A in table B i copy then to the fields in table B. So when the data in Table A is deleted, this wil not delete the data in

Hey Team,Whilst i"m no stranger to formulas I am new to Airtable and would love some help with a project. First an automation where I can enter a number in one table and it will create that number in records in another table. To put it into context, I am a Dog Breeder, I have created a table for my Studs & Dams and also for their Litters (Projects). I have a column in the Projects referring to number of puppies and I want the automation to create Puppy Profiles for each puppy. So if they have four, I want four Puppy Profiles created. The automation I have used so far is "When a record matches condition" in which I have used 'if project name is not empty', and 'if DOB is not empty' then create Puppy Profile but i want to add script so it adds for example '4' records because their are 4 puppies.  Could anyone help me to write my first script? 🙏In my second screenshot I would ideally love for the Project name and DOB to populate as

Hi,I have a date column (contract end date), two months before this date there is an automation that sends an email to the tenant. The problem is that I'm afraid the automation will send an email at midnight. Is there a possibility that the email will be sent 60 days before the end of the contract at 9 am?Thanks.

Hi,I have two tables, one of tasks and one of tenants.In the table of the tenants I have a column of the end date of the tenant's contract.I want to automate that at the beginning of each month (on the 1st of each month) I will create a RECORD in the table of tasks with the task of renewing the tenant's contract only if the date of the end of the tenant's contract is a month later.For example, if today's date is October 1st, I want to create tasks for each tenant whose contract ends in November.Is it possible?

But I can't figure it out to make this happenIt's a registration form.  We use it for a specific location, every other month.  I'm trying to reduce some of the manual overhead by trying to auto populate each record as it is submitted with the current event - which is a linked field = from a sync table.Problem is - the automation doesn't seem to support this - like it does for select fields.How I am setting it in the form is kludgy Any suggestions - I'm open to hearing them

Hi everyone!I have a form for a warranty claim. Once customer submit it, the data is visible in table "RMA" for approval. I have another table named "customers" ("Stranke" in my language) which is linked to the table RMA and where I have a list of all customers (so that I can quickly see how many request or warranty cases specific customer have). I managed to automate that once the form is submited, it automatically create that customer in the table customer and link it to the RMA table. Now I stumbled upon one problem. If I have the same customer submitting the form multiple times, it always create a new one. So I have duplicated customers. Does anyone know how can I fix this? Thank you!

Hi, I have managed to set up an email automation. But after the email is sent, I want to update the AirTable record with the date and time the email was sent. How do we do this? I did see Kuovonne do this with a custom script in another example. But not sure how to do this for us. @kuovonne Thank you. 

I have an automation set up to add an event to my google calendar. It is working fine except, the end date it shows on the calendar is showing up the day before it ends. I have the events with no time listed because i do not want a specific start and end time for them. When i have the all day box checked in the automation It is showing on the calendar as ending a day earlier. When i make the "all day" under configurations in the automation dynamic and pick the end date it gives the start time and end time as 8AM in google calendar.  Is there a solution for this? Hi there, I have a script that collect a few records in my table, and I'd like to create a repeat action (to send a Slack message to each of these records). I used JSON.stringify to convert my array to a string and the output is something like: ["rec0aFuNHkPzxxx","rec2jGJ33iVxxx", …]When I try to use this script output as a list for my repeat group it says : "No valid nested options". I looked in the doc but haven't found anything about it. Did I miss something ?

Hi, I have a table where I add any investment into a company done. So, each row contains a field which is  linked record that link the investment to a record in table "company".But we can invest several times in one company. So I want to create a view that could display the last investment made for each company. I thought creating a new "single select" field called "active investment?", and having "active" option automatically selected for the latest investment made for a company. But I can't figure out how to do this double condition (having the "company" in the "linked field" and being the earliest date). Does someone know how to do something like this? Thank you,  Have a nice day

Hello everyone, I work at an NGO and I’m trying to put together a booking system so people from a specific program can set up a meeting with someone from the team through a form. I did everything, but I’m having problems with the Google Calendar automation. It works, but I don’t know why it creates the event two hours later from the time on the date field. I’m guessing this has to do with timezones? but I haven’t been able to figure it out :disappointed_relieved: can someone help me ? Thank you!!

I'm sure you'll be able to give me some ideas to figure out the best way to accomplish what I'm trying to.I have a base with 6 tables: Check-in, Market, Business, Operations, Traction and Finance.Forms with data will arrive in Check-in table. Since is a lot of data for the customer to fill in one time, we had to split fields in 5 forms which collect the real values of customer business and 5 forms collecting projection values.Customer will answer this every month, so we have an Evaluation Month field in every table. Also, and that's one messed up thing, they need customer be able to send data in more than one form. So this would work something like, on first month, customer knows 4 of the 8 questions, he will send a form with these 4 answers; then, when he gets the other 4, he will send another form with the other 4 answers. Please, consider we can't ask our customer to send only one form per month, despite this was the easiest way to solve the pr
