Hey all, I am trying to create a solution to reduce the image sizes in one of our bases, that is wildly over limits due to being populated with MASSIVE cell phone photos uploaded via a form.Currently I have setup an automation to trigger a miniextensions webhook that compresses the image and places the resulting smaller file into a new field.What I would like to do now is create an automation to run at a specific time to delete the contents of the original field automatically.The update record function does not support deleting field data (why?).Can someone assist? Thanks!

Hello Community,My email automation that I use to send out reports has failed 3 times in a row and does not give me any information besides it has "failed". I went to the automation itself, tested it, and it said everything was fine. So I am not sure what the issue is. I am attaching a photo of the email I keep receiving. Hopefully I can get this figured out soon. (This is also just the normal email automation, not the gmail specific one.)

I am trying to insert a formula field for a "friendly name" into an automated email.The formula just looks to see if a person has a nickname and then either uses the first name or the nickname.IF({Nickname},{Nickname},IF({First Name},{First Name}))I keep getting this error message:""Message" could not be converted to a string."What the heck does that mean?Thanks,~Lisa  

Hello everyone,Always with the ultimate goal of creating the perfect automated ToDo List,I have a script I was able to write that copies tasks from one table, pastes them into another table. The script copies the important information (task name, task categories, who's responsible and when it needs to be done). My script then links the task to the event in the ToDo Lists.But it's impossible to copy the dependencies between my tasks (link to another record) directly into the script. In any case, I was unable to do so and no one replied to my previous post. I got around the problem by asking the script to copy the dependency links from my main table into a text column in my ToDo Lists table.So I created a second automation to "Update record" the new records created by my script, to copy the text from the text column to the parent Task column, which is a link column to other records.As I said, I have about ten child tasks linked to its parent task (13 p

We want to create a warning system that alerts us if a new booking comes in that matches the name, email or phone number of a previous guest that has caused issues in the past.When a previous guest has caused an issue, we flag them as High Alert on Airtable.This puts them into a View called “Guest Warning”.We want to build an automation that sends us a message or email when a booking comes in that matches the name, number or email of any records (guests) in the “Guest Warning” view.How do we do this?Thanks,Ollie

We want to connect their name and email (as submitted in the form) to a preexisting linked record with their details.  Sometimes, staff will fill in multiple names and emails at once, separated by commas. Hello dear communityI want to be able to automate the email sending, every time I have a new registration from a person, I must send a welcome email attaching an excel file (this excel file will be the same for all new registrations), what would have to vary is the sending to different emails, what I need is that a new record is automatically created and I sent the welcome email attached to the excel file that I have stored in a table.I hope I have explained myself well.I look forward to your comments, thank you!

Hi I'm trying to set up my base (I have a separate Reminder base just for this purpose) so that it should sync my Airtable to the Outlook calendar, it should show up all my reminders that I have in that base, is there a possibility that it should work both ways? I want to be able to add reminders in my Outlook that will be editable within Airtable but I should be able to create new ones.I have already created the calendar in my Outlook.I'm looking to have that it should bring in new ones and export to the same location And where do I get the Event ID? What should I be looking out for?

Hi I used to use the extension that moved records over from one table to another on the same base however, due to API Keys ending and becoming Tokens this extension has been removed from the options. It was essential in my job. My only option now is to copy over the records but I can only copy them in the same table not into a different table can someone please help?Thank You!

Hi everyone,I have an automation here that works perfectly fine when I add a new dataset into my grid view. Once I switch to a form to add a new dataset the automation doesn't work properly. The automation I duplicated starts but the value is wrong. With a single automation nothing at all happens.Not sure what it is. Maybe the trigger "when record is updated" vs "when record is created". I duplicated everything tried to keep everything the same, which is not really possible. I created a flow in Webflow (The second step in the webflow form is "Make HTTP request", "Authentication" is set to "None", In this step I added the Hook URL I copied from the Automation in Airtable).The corresponding flow is setup and tested in Workflow and setup and tested in Airtable. I was able to map the colums from Airtable with the actual data from Webflow. Hello! I need some help with creating an automation. I attempted it, but was unsuccessful. I have a base called "CRM". In that base are tables called "Bookings Log" and "People". Here is what I want to happen in the automation: 1. When a record is created in "Bookings Log" 2. The automation searches a specific view in "People" to see if there is a matching email address (as compared to the record in "Bookings Log"). This email address will be dynamic. 3. If there is NOT a matching email address, a message is sent to Slack Could someone please help me to create this automation? Thank you in advance for your assistance!

In two different bases, I have just noticed a few automations that were disabled (they have been working just fine for the past year)....there's a triangle with an exclamation point inside of it. There's no message or indication as to why they were disabled and I was not notified of this by Airtable....someone submitted a form and didn't hear back from us so they sent us an email and that's how I found out about it.I turned most of the automations on just fine, but one of them just won't turn back on. When I try to turn it on, it hangs there for a few seconds and then turns itself back off. I have tested the automation and it works fine. I made a duplicate of the automation, tested that and it works just fine but that one also won't stay turned on.The automation doesn't link to any 3rd party apps (I saw some suggestion of this in this troubleshooting page), but it does s

Hi I am trying to create an automation where a record in one table (New Listing) is updated by submission and record creation in another table (Sold). Example: Record sits in New Listing and then a form is submitted in Sold, then a record is created in the Sold table. Hello, I'm really enjoying building for the first time in Airtable but need some help creating a script (if that's the best approach).I have a form where users will put in 3 comma separated words to describe the Niche they work in.I want to turn this column into tags, so that I can group records by common Niche.My understanding is that I need to write a script to go inside an automation that fires when that field is not empty on a new record (when the form is filled in). And takes the text, parses it based on the commas and then adds it to my Tags column which is a multi-select field.I've tried using claude.ai and chatgpt to write the script portion but they're failing! Hi All,I have an automation issue coming from a formula field.The lookup field is coming from Tasks table, and the regions are repetitive, so i created a formula to make it as a text and im hoping the automation will take the Regions Text to a normal editable field 'TASKS - Regions', but it updates it with a blank value in the end (the blue circle in the end). Hello everybody, I have a weird problem with a gmail automation. When testing the automation works perfectly. The automation looks for a field value that is greater than 4 and then the actions are run. When manually changing the a value in the record that is used for the automation to a value greater than 4 the automation also runs perfectly. But when the automation its run automatically I suddenly get the following error in the logs: It doesn’t make any sense that this automation suddenly throws errors when it is run automatically, but every other way of running it works fine. Also, when this same automation is run again manually it just works… Someone any idea what’s going on?
