I have an airtable base for a volunteer organization, which is organized into project areas (Social Media Posts, Newsletters, Articles). I am trying to create a ‘collaborator summary’ table where I can quickly see what assignments those collaborators have from other tables. Is this possible? For example, if I am assigned to write 2 Social media posts, I want to see the title of those posts in my ‘summary’ table. I also want to see which Newsletters I am assigned to, so maybe that needs to be a different field in the summary table.

Hey there! I’m working to build a base for the following use case (similar to a sales pipeline CRM): I have a list of Vendors, who each have multiple Documents they must fill out / complete in order to move from Phase 1 to Phase 2. While the list of documents to be completed is the same for all vendors, the responses within those documents/forms will be unique. I want to track completion rate of the unique documents for each vendor, and once all documents are completed, have the ability to move them into Phase 2. (Phase 2 will have a different list of documents necessary to be completed before graduating to Phase 3). For instance, I want to show that Miller Manufacturing has 60% of all documents completed, while Rachael LLC might only have 20%. I’d like for there to be a view to show the details for where each Vendor is in the process, while also being able to drill down

Hi, I am getting my table data from Jotforms with an integration. This is working well. I want to then customise my table further and add lots of extra fields in Airtable for workflow, but I kind of want to keep the original import data structure intact and simple. My solution to this is to create a second table which has all the data from the import table linked plus all my extra goodies. I am aware that I can achieve this by creating a new table and manually linking all the fields from the import table, but I wondered if there was a simple solution to creating a complete linked table duplicate in one click? Am I just being lazy? I could have probably done it manually in the time it took to write this but I hate doing stuff the hard way if there is something I am missing. Thanks Pete

Hi! I am new to Airtable. I am currently setting up an Airtable spreadsheet and one field (column) has a date. Is there any way possible to make the column next to it show what date it will be 2 weeks later? Regards, Sam

I want to use airtable to collect applications from people for a program. One of the questions is asking for the applicants teammates (which could be any number) and for each teammates I want to ask for email, location, role, affiliation, etc etc basically a lot of different qualities. Screendoor has a way to do this using table inputs, but anyone know of a way to do this in airtable?

I pull a .CSV report each day from a third party software that shows me all unpaid balances for reservations checking in in the next 60 days. I move these into airtable in order to sort with different views, add notes, etc. Most records will end up being the same, but I still pull it every day in case new reservations were created or old reservations have new declined payments that were scheduled. I don’t want to have to go through hundreds of duplicate records each day to keep the original ones with my notes, etc. Is there a way to just add new records to the table and ignore the import of any duplicate reservation numbers?

I’m trying to create a programming quiz, and wanted to be able to add a syntax highlighted code snippet to some of the questions. I could add the content in description, but it would have no syntax highlighting. Is there a way?

I am working on an audition list for my band students. I have multiple fields that I am giving students a “score” for and would like to give them a rank based on how they scored on multiple fields. I am struggling because some scores are based on 100, with 100 being the best, and some are just a total of things completed (ie. student attended 3 extra meetings). I would like a way to rank students automatically as I enter new scores for audition material. I can get a new average automatically, that’s not a problem. However, I can’t seem to figure out how to get an automatic ranking of students. This is especially problematic as I will be ranking students that play different instruments separately. (there will be a rank of 1 for Flute and Clarinet, not just a top rank total.) Though a ranking of the entire group that updates automatically would be better than no ranking at all. Any ideas?

I am trying to implement a basic CRM database for a small sales team (contacts table + interactions table). They ask me: “hey I have a follow up today but I want to push it off. How do I do that?” I say: “Open the contacts grid view, search for the contact, look at the “Interactions” field, open the most recent interaction record, and modify it using the record inspection pop-up window.” That’s a lot. Their eyes glaze over. Is there an easier way? A form? A script?

Hi, I am beginner with Airtable and am trying to build an online database to house my Plex films initially then hoping to expand it to include TV Shows. I can generate the records on my iMac but when I use create, it seems I only get about 1 in 6 showing in my online AirTable. It is suspicious to me that I always get 40 out of 252 into Airtable, is that because I am using the free verison? What am I doing wrong? I love the concept but need all my records!! Hi there, I created a table showing daily sales of each product by each salesman as follow: Primary field: date 2nd filed: Name of saleman 3rd field to N field: daily sales amount of each product those products could be grouped into different product category and we need to summarise the monthly sales into different product categories to perform further anlaysis. I tried to create another table with the below setup: Primary field: Product Category 2nd field: Name of product (with multiple select). I’m now stucked as I don’t know how to link the data between the 2 tables to work you the monthly sales by product category. Please share with me your experience.

hi all – Trying to help my agency put together a menu of deliverables that we can use with clients to help them plan their budgets/programs for the upcoming year. Essentially the base needs to cover: what the deliverable is estimated time in hours to complete (this needs to be a range, as we bill hourly) ideally some way clients can opt in to what tactics they want to pursue, and then a total estimated bill associated with that Any ideas?

Problem 1: Here is the set-up we are currently designing. I have Location Name linked to Clients (to keep up with work done for each location throughout the year) More importantly - I really need to track Work Order #s. Problem is when I link this field to Clients I only have the option of the Client Name since Incoming Request is the first time this number is used. I’ve thought about adding the Incoming Requests table to the Clients table but our client table is prepopulated with the address of each location and I cannot figure out the best way of doing this. My going crazy moment is: How do I link, rollup, lookup, or whatever option I need to use to track this Work Order #. Ide

Greetings, I have a base for job hunting that I would like to share with others, but it currently requires too much manual entry to be widely practical. The structure of the base is: Company -> Positions <-> Contacts <-> Activity Every table is optionally linked to all the other tables. The problem is that, let’s say I’m looking at a Contact, and I want to indicate that I spoke to someone on the phone – in the Activity record I may need to link to up to two additional tables manually (Company, and Position) even though the Contact record is already linked to a particular Company and Position. Is there a way to automate filling in these record links so that the base is easier for folks to use? Here is the ERD of the base for those so inclined:

This is a feature request. I use the android Airtable app to add records to a table. There is a single line text field “Description” followed by a multiple select field “Tags”. I type into Description and then I touch the Tags field: the list of existing colored tags appears, preceded by the tag search box. I start typing the tag to search but it gets typed into the Description field, because the focus is still with the preceding field. My requests is: when the list of tags appears, its search box should immediately receive focus, so that whatever I type actuallly searches a matching tag.instead of being typed into the preceding field, “Description” in my case.

So I want to start hiring and streamlining the whole process - AirTable looks like the perfect fit - not too overly complicated and keep it simple. Basically here is what I am after - I’d like to know how I can acheive this: I need to have a business process flow map - I know you have a Block that creates flow chart. I would like this flow chart to clearly show required inputs and outputs for a task/s - is this possible I’d like employees to be able to input into forms the output of a task and have it tracked to that recurring buisness process - I’d like to be able to clearly see which business processes are waiting on who (so do I need to get something to my employees or do they need something from me?) Assign these processes to users - this should be fairly straightforward Ideally I will have tasks that are recurring - whether that be daily, weekly etc. I’d like to keep a track of this for each of the recurring occurences - has it bee

Hi all, Trying to wrap my head around this one. In my table I have 4 overarching categories: say A, B, C, D. Underneath each of those I have a variety of sub categories, around 5-10. Those two categories are single select fields. And each of those sub categories has a number of items attached to them, which are just longform text. What I’m trying to achieve is a numbering system that looks like this: 1.2.5 which translates to Category 1, subcategory 2, item 5 Is it possible to set something like this up? I’ve been playing around with formulas but have gotten stuck.

I want to track what items are in which room. What is the ideal solution for this? For now, I am not interested in the quantity, but only that a certain item exists in a room or not. For the items exist unique categories, namely furniture, tool and machine. This is what I have created so far, two tables ‘Room’ and ‘Interior’: Currently, I do not have a junction table. I created three columns in the ‘Room’ table based on the unique categories and linked it to the ‘Interior’ table. I restricted the link per view (depending on category). Is this the best possible way to present the information I want? Or do I need a junction table and if yes how do I implement it?

We’re still in the testing phase with airtable so we’re new to the tool. Question: how can you/do you filter (or search) on a number field? I’d like to filter for greater than or less than, or for numbers within a range, but the only filter options I see have no relationship to numbers and search doesn’t seem to work on a range. Use case: creating a mailing list for businesses of a certain size, or within a size range.

Hello, We run a marketing agency, and are on-boarding several clients every week. The issue we encounter is to keep track of the post on-boarding phase. Is there a way to have Airtable automatically create a task say 30 days after a certain trigger event? For example, when a customer moves from on-boarding phase to “complete” phase, schedule a follow call in 30 days. Essentially, it’s [date when moved to deal stage] + 30 = task date. Any ideas? I am building a cultivation tracker for my relationships with grantmakers. Unlike a grants tracker, this is not going to track when we receive grants specifically, it’s going to track my cultivation efforts which are mostly relationship and communications based. I built a base design to show the org, contacts, most recent activity etc. but I’m having trouble with assigning activities and showing that they are done. Essentially, I have a table that shows me all of the organizations with fields for their contacts and most recent activities linked to other tables. But I also have a To Do table I want to link to it that will automatically move the task to the “recent activities” table once it’s marked completed. Is this possible? I’m also open to color changes as a solution, having all activities in one table and having them show up differently on the organizational overview table when they are complete etc. I just don’t want to have to manually copy and past over complete

Hi there We want to have a fixed list of Customers in a single table. That’s easy. On other tables (and ideally on bases) we want to have a single (or multiple) select that uses only the names from that master customer table. I can’t figure out how to do that, and I’ve gone down the rabbit hole with linked lookups, but I don’t think that’s is either. How can we have a fixed list of vales that are available as a Select in a new field but are sources from another table? Thanks! -j
