I’ve got a base that I’m using for my short-term accommodation facility, but I’ve made a mess of it while learning the ropes; Maybe I need to start from scratch. Is there a base design template that I could make use of? Enquiry log needs to be maintained for both existing customers and new prospects. Full specification available. Thank you. I’ve got a bit of a weird thing that I am not entirely sure if it’s an issue of my database design or can be solved another way and am hoping someone here can help, which would be massively appreciated :slightly_smiling_face: I have two bases for a webstore, one which holds high level information (items for sale, vendors, master order records) and the other base has individual records for each unique item in each master order record. Excuse the awful drawing and writing, but the below diagram illustrates how I’ve structured things so far. Black lines with two arrows show linked fields. One black arrow shows synced tables, and the blue line shows what I want to achieve. Red line shows that the field already exists, but doesn’t allow The end result I am aiming for is to be able to report on sales associated with each vendor (i.e. Vendor A has sold $500 of items this month). The problem I have is what seems like it would be the logical link of pulling the vendor detail in via the item
I have created a base to control the occupancy of a hotel car park, I need to control the occupancy of each day to avoid exceeding the maximum occupancy, with the formulas that I am using I can only control the number of entries or exits of a date but not the number of places occupied each day. If I have 10 parking spaces in total and I reserve 9 spaces between June 1 and June 15, I need to know that on the 10th, for example, I only have 1 space available, can someone help me find the base structure or the formulas i have to use? Thanks for the reply
I am trying to build an app to help Ukrainian families get out of the country by pairing them up with available drivers. It’s time critical and in a very literal sense, life and death matter. Unfortunately most Ukrainians don’t speak English. Is there any chance your platform can support Russian? I’d take a super alpha version if you had one. If not, are you aware of any platform that supports Russian and could provide a fast way to prototype something quick? Appreciate any help you can provide.
Is there any plans to have the personal views collaborative with another user in the workspace. Instead of it being personal view, it can be shared with other people? But locked to those users only? for example. the main table holds sensitive financial Information, that is hidden to users that don’t need to see it, and this base is locked so columns can’t be unhidden. but if there was another view that was able to be shared with the relative people. or an alternative, adding a password to access a view?
I’ve got a table with the primary field being materials. I also have a projects field that will require the use of some of these materials. Each material will be given a serial code that is universally unique and a product code that is unique to each project (materials can be used for multiple projects and the product code will change for each project) How to set up my base to have a project view where I can view and edit the product code field but only have that record be relevant to that project.
I am trying to create a base that will store the following: Purchased materials Products made from said materials Sales of the products I’d like to track the costs of materials, costs of making the products, in stock/out of stock, etc. I’d also like to see the details of sales on different platforms e.g. eBay, Etsy, craft fairs, etc. I’d like to add to Purchased Materials from a form that has information like name, pack type, how many items in a pack, cost per unit etc. I really appreciate any help you can give me. :slightly_smiling_face:
Hello Airtablers. Hoping someone out there might be able to provide a solution to a challenge I am having manipulating data between tables. I’ve created a graphic that shows what I am trying to achieve. Basically, in words what I am trying to achieve is the following: (1) Using a reference table that is setup where each record is a product with five fields and each of the five fields is a different single text field that is a tag for the product, bring into a separate table where each record is a product a single multi-select field that has all the tags from the five fields in the reference table. AND (2) Create a third table, called “Tags”, where the records represent all the unique values across all five tag fields in the Reference table and where one field is a single multi-select field with all the products that have that tag. For the second issue, from some earlier help form a fellow Airtabler, I discovered that I could link the five tag columns to a tags table and this would g
Hi, I have 2 Tables. One Opportunity and one Product table. In the opportunity table I have 3 products (linked to the product table) and 3 prices and each price is for one product (Product 1, Price Product 1, Product 2, Price Product 2 etc.). As the products in the opportunity table are all linked to the product table for the fields (Product 1, Product 2 , Product) you can select a product from the product table (Apple, Banana, Strawberry etc.) In the Product table there are multiple fields, among them are Revenue Product 1, Revenue Product 2 and Revenue Product 3. Now for every product (e.g. Apple) it is supposed to show each revenue from Product 1, Product 2 and Product 3 and they should be assigned to the right Product Name. This is my problem as this is not the case. To have an example. In the opportunity table the fields are these Opportunity: Opportunity 1 Product 1: Apple Price Product 1: $5 Product 2: Banana Price Product 2: $3 Product 3: Strawberry Price Product 3: $1 In the P
Hi, Just starting on Airtable, so, sorry for the basic question. I want to create a “select” field with the list of “tables” that there are in my database. When the user clic on it, it brings her/him to the selected table. Thanks in advance
In the middle of taking a client across to AT from a convenient and comfy Trello solution. I need to replicate the board and kanban format and I am wondering if its possible to use a kanban view and then limited views of the columns to mimic the board format?
Hello! I’m relatively new to Airtable, but I’ve been digging to figure out a solution and haven’t come across anything workable yet. What I’m trying to do is set up skill profiles that contain different proficiencies in each profile. Example: I have 2 skills, Reading and Writing. I have 2 profiles, Researcher and Author. I have a proficiency rating, 1-3. Researcher profile has Reading at a 3, Writing at a 1. Author has both Reading and Writing at a 2. Right now I have a table of skills and a table of profiles with skills linked to them, but no way that I can find to do unique proficiency in each profile. Is there a good way I could set something like that up? The biggest challenge is I’m creating this for about 40 different profiles containing different mixes of about 300 skills. I’ve a feeling it’s not a possibility or if it is, maintenance would be a bear.
Hi Folks, I am creating a quasi-CRM in Airtable. Every time I interact with a company I create a new event in an event table links back to a company record on the company table (“called JC Toothpicks on Monday”, “ate lunch with Pencils United on Tuesday”, “sent proposal to JC Toothpicks on Wednesday” etc). Whats the best way to identify the most recent event at each company? The long term goal is to be able to run through all our companies quickly and know what stage they are at and the last interaction (imagine in like a Kanban view of companies grouped by stage) Thanks!
I don’t know how to explain this but I am selling products and I want to be able to assign values to the next cell when I click a dropdown selection from cell 1
I have data for 4 competitors and myself , formatted exactly (5 tables). Each set of data contains a column of keywords. Some competitors have some KWs that match what I rank for. What would be a good way to set up a 6th table or add columns to my table, to indicate a competitor has a matching keyword. Normally I would do a vlookup in Excel, but I think this would be a lot more powerful in Airtable. Example of Report Needed (I can hide columns if needed): My Keywords Competitor1 Competitor2 Apples Match No Match Oranges Match Match Grapes No Match No Match I tried linking to each competitors record and copying my KWs in column, and it will add the matched KWs to the competitor tables, but it also adds all the non-matches at the bottom. Example My Keywords Link to Competitor1 Link to Competitor2 Apples Apples Apples Oranges Oranges Oranges Grapes Grape
We’ve created an address book of sorts, and I could use your help in creating a dynamic single-select field. Here’s the scenario: We have two tables: (1) tbl_organizations and (2) tbl_individuals. Any given organization may (and often does) have multiple individuals linked to it. However, we’d also like to designate one of these individuals as the primary contact for the organization. Here’s it written out as an example: Depp Organization is a record in tbl_organizations. It is linked to 3 records in tbl_individuals (Bob, Sue, and Timmy). Foo Organization is a record in tbl_organizations. It is linked to 2 records in tbl_individuals (Sally and John). I would like a create a field in the tbl_organizations. This field will be called something like “PrimaryIndividual.” PrimaryIndividual will populate with the individuals linked to their organization record (but no other individuals). As an example, for Depp Organization, the options will be Bob, Sue, and Timmy whereas for Foo Organizatio
Hi there. I have Base setup that includes Customer & Product tables. Each product has a unique Retail price (stored in the Product Table), but the buy price is different depending on the customer. I have set up a Junction Table that links to the Customer & the Product and each Cust-Prod entry has the correct Buy Price. I have used a Lookup field in the Product table to bring in the Buy price and of course in each case a product has multiple entries in the new Buy Price look-up field to correlate with each of the Customers. What I would like to do is be able to Filter for a specific customer and have that Look-Up field only pull the Buy Price for the Customer that I have filtered for. That way I could have a separate View in Products for each customer to show a Price List of sorts. The only other thing I can think of is having a separate Base for each customer and having a heap of Synced tables and that seems like overkill. Any thoughts??
Trying to build a master list of a bunch of sales data. Each supplier sends us an updated list weekly and has their own order and nomenclature they use for their data, but they are all providing the same basic information. I want to take that basic information and consolidate it into a master sheet. How do I go about connecting these tables? Is there a way I can get this master sheet to automatically update itself whenever I enter new information from a supplier?
Hello all, I have added a ‘multiple select’ field to my base but, for some weird reason, cannot either view, edit, or add/delete any of the list of options that I have previously entered into this field. Instead, all I now see is a very limited view of the ‘multiple select’ field per the below: Would be grateful for any help to rectify this. Thanks.
Hello everyone, does Airtable provide outline (group) data function as Excel?( Outline (group) data in a worksheet (microsoft.com). Thanks!
Hello, I need help figuring out the best base set-up for my specific conditions. Working backwards, I want to be able to download as a CSV one accurate list of records that will all receive a printed mail piece. The records must contain: address line1 address line2 city state zip Addresses will contain one of the following options: Person info: Person’s First Name Person’s Last Name Organization info: Organization’s Name Both #1 and #2 The tables I currently have: People People Addresses Organizations (addresses in this table) I need a way for the table or view that I download the CSV from to pull the correct mailing address because I have some organizations that do not have a person affiliated with them. Do I have my tables organized in the best way? Is there an automation that I need to run to achieve my goals? Is it a lookup field that I need to use instead of automation? I have the FREE version of Airtable and it is unlikely I’d be able to use a paid version. Thanks!
I am not quite sure I’m using the right languaging here but basically… I want fellow MFA film students to be able to toggle ALL selections from a dropdown list of potential crew roles identifying those crew positions that are, say, their #1 career goals (i.e.: what they came to school to focus on for their career: Director, Screenwriter, Producer, whatever) as distinct from those roles they are “Good At/Willing to Do” (to help other students out with their projects: Script Supervising, Editing, Production Sound Recordist, Boom Operate, Craft Services, Catering, etc.) vs. those crew positions they are willing to learn/try “if you’re desperate” versus those positions they don’t have the skills necessary to even pinch-hit TRY help out with (Composing, Color Correction, Wardrobe Design, Set Design, whatever). I’m thinking it might be like the translation of a Google Multiple Choice Grid vs. Checkbox Grid Survey to Airtable OR simply a ranking grid? Or…??? Am I making this
Hi ! I am a new user and need help to understand how to set up Airtable for best use with my flower farm - I have an in-depth product list done and just need some questions answered involving inventory and client orders and invoicing! I would love to be able to screen share and have you walk me through best practices to set myself up on the right track!
We think the first step is to take the current legacy database we use (Sesame by Lantica) and convert to Airtable with the proper tables and form views. Looking for someone to take ours and set this up. We have clients, new and current, who need one or multiple eviction lawsuits each year. We will then need a portal for registration and log in for new and current clients so the info that they send in populates the Airtable database and can connect to the client’s contact and create a new matter. I have screen shots and can give you the legacy database software we use.
Hi Everyone, As mentioned I’m new to airtable and I’m trying to build an app / project management tool to help me run my business. We are an e-learning platform creating and distributing courses through our website. My challenge is that I have several grades (Grade 5, 6 ,7 8, 9 , 10, 11, 12, 13). Under these grades I have different Subjects/ Courses (Maths, physics, Chemistry, Eng Literature etc…) and that each of the courses are composed with lessons, topics and sub topics. If I am not getting a clean structure, I’m afraid I will get lost very quickly. The idea here is to be able to track the production progress from top (Grades) to bottom (Sub topics) using different status (Not started, Techer recruited, Pre production, Production, Post production, Publishing , review etc…) Each of these status should be link to a speciffic piece of content and at the top, I should be able to identify the progress for each grades, courses, and lessons. Does anyone has an idea of how t get started? T
