Hi, I’m trying to migrate my Google Spreadsheet to Airtable and I would need a help with getting stock price. In my google spreadsheet I have a field with value =GOOGLEFINANCE("T") formula. This automatically fetches current price from Google finance for AT&T stock. Is there an easy way to achieve the same in Airtable? I couldn’t find any resource on this. Thank you, Ondrej

I have a base for tracking servers thru a migration. Tables Servers Databases Migration Date I need to associate Servers and Databases to a Migration Date. The complexity is that I need a view showing all Servers and Databases (along with some supporting data points) for a single migration date. If I add a Migration Date lookup to both Servers and Databases tables, I can’t figure out how to create the view so each Server and Database for a specific Migration Date are listed 1 per row.

I have a simple schema where I have a set of schools, and a set of people who are affiliated with those schools in various ways (parent, PTSA officer, teacher, etc.). A single person may be affiliated to one or more schools, and in one or more ways for each school. What is the best way to represent this in a base? At the moment I have a third table with a linked reference to people, a linked reference to school, and a multiple select affiliation type. The two problems I have with this are: If I create a form view to send out for people to fill in, there is no good way for people to enter their affiliations. I’m working around that at the moment by having another, free text field where people type this in, then I will convert those values into proper affiliation records. I can show lookup fields in the people table to show affiliations, but they only show all the schools and all the affiliations, not (affiliation, school) pairs.

Hello, I am pretty sure I know the answer to this but want to confirm. We have a database in which we are tracking student data. Some of the case notes may hold sensitive information and as such we do not want all staff to have access to some of these Notes fields. Is there any way to restrict access to some fields but not others within a table or base? Thank!

Hello amazing users! I have been working with AirTable Pro for several months now and I am constantly thrilled with what it can do. However there is something I simply cannot wrap my head around. I have a list of Crew members for my show. Each crew member may fill a different specific role on a specific shooting date. They also may have other things that they do in the production that gain them a film credit. Here is my problem: I want the first table that has one record per Crew Member with all their contact info etc I want the second table that allows to select a crew member at one of the “jobs” they are qualified for for a specific date I want a third that lists a record for every credit that needs to appear, in a specific order Example: Crew member Artsy McAwesomesauce is the Art Director. Hello! I am currently editing my base and trying to create different grids within one section. However, whenever I create a new grid, it copies the data and information from the first grid in the section. How do I prevent this? TYIA.

I have a main board that links to a task page which lays out all my tasks. When a task is marked as completed i would love for that field on the main board to demonstrate this. either through a color change or a strike through. I can make the color change within the task page but the change is not demonstrated on the main board. In the below image - some of these tasks are completed and some not so there is no way to tell the priority !

Question: I have a customer CRM base, and a Contacts table for all contacts. There are a handful of forms I’m using (hubspot, google forms, FB ads, etc) to collect new leads/contacts. Do you find it better/cleaner/more useful to Zapier that data directly into Contacts, or to use another table to collect form responses and link relevant data back to contacts? A separate table feels cleaner, but I’m learning more and more to reduce tabes and use views. Thoughts + reasonings? Thx in advance all! Damon

Is there a way to clear default columns in new tables? I always delete the notes, attachments, and status columns, which is tedious. I just want a truly blank slate.

I’m curious if anyone has any base template they might recommend for a use case I have coming up: I’m going to be opening an office, and I’m looking to track key objectives and goals along the next year+ leading up to that. Everything from rolling out new business processes, hiring new people, buying tons of equipment, negotiating a lease, etc etc etc. This is something I previously did by the seat of my pants, so I’d like to move past that but I’m curious if there’s a base template that would fit well to start.

Hello, I have a store with lots of items, at the moment we try to make airtable as our only system. in the store lots of items and when a customer buy from us he can have 3 shampoos and 4 hair mask then add 3 brushes and 6 pens… I can’t find a way to make it easy to multiply the items … any suggestions or templates I can learn from?

Hi! I’m not sure how to go about this and any solution is welcome—I receive through webhooks a field that contains an array separated by commas. These need to be made into records themselves. Depending on the data received, there can be one or 20 values in the array. Any suggestion on how I can do this? I’m assuming this needs some sort of script, I’m happy as well to be led on what to read so I can learn more on how to do this. Thanks!

Is there a way to view data in a Kanban view by date, so that it looks more like a calendar of due tasks. The Calendar view is too limited in that it just shows one line and you have to click on each record to see more. As we do not depend on “time”, only dates I would like to have a calendar view with all jobs on a card under the due date etc. Hope this makes sense. It doesn’t seem to allow me to choose the date field. Thank you

Hi! I have 3 tables: Players, Teams and Clubs. Each Club can have up to two Teams. Each Player can sign up to one Club and one Team of that Club. In Players table I linked Clubs table and would like to have a team field, but limiting the option to the teams of the selected club. I tried to use Lookup, but the result wasn’t the desired. Any help?

Hey all wonderful AT peeps! Quick question. I have to track updates, changes, and versioning to name a few things of assets. I’d like to have a history that tracks the changes to each asset. I was thinking I could just use the existing “Asset Tracker” table I created, and just use the updated by and date fields, but that wouldn’t necessarily show the true update version, etc history that I want to be able to run reports, or even other team members to just view. Would I create a separate table “Asset History”, or something like that, that would link to the “Asset Tracker” table? Just curious. Sort of like a drop-down of all the history for each Asset. Does that make sense?

Hello, this is with regards to embedding a base on my Webflow website. I’m wondering if it is possible to display my airtable with a map vertically (on top of each other) rather than horizontally (side by side)? This way the map is in full view and so is the table, rather than squeezed into the width of the screen. Such as in the drawing here Thanks in advance.

Hi all, I’m new to Airtable and was hoping to get some advice on how to set up the base properly especially so it is scalable for numerous clients. I am designing an ordering system where the client submits their orders via forms and can view their order details via read-only grid views. Currently, I have client specific forms and views which I have duplicated for each of the clients (currently 2 test clients). The forms use the ‘Limit record selection to a view’ feature so clients can only select what is specific to them. Since my system is a work in progress, I am constantly updating the forms and views with any changes and then have to replicate that change for each client. I can kind of manage it now since it’s just two clients, but I can imagine with 5 or more clients, a small change to a view or form would take a fair bit of time to propagate across and is error prone. I’m not in a position to pay for the Stacker plan that has the portal feat

I am trying to prefill a form field from a long text field with rich text enabled. The rich text does not carry through to the form and is rendered as plain text. I have check boxes in the text that I would like to carry through to the form - is this possible? Help hugely appreciated!

I’m having trouble setting up a table because I need it to display a very specific way and I’m not entirely sure if it’s possible. One of my fields is going to have multiple entries and I need to group data based on each individual entry that is applied to that record, not the grouping. Ex: Record 1 applies to cats, dogs and birds. Record 2 applies to dogs, fish and cats. I need to be able to group by “Dogs” and see which records apply to dogs (I need this to display as rows under the heading of “Dogs”). However when you try to group by this field it doesn’t group by individual entry. I’m having trouble figuring out how to succinctly and accurately describe this problem via text. If anyone is willing to connect I’m happy to share more information. I’ve attached a photo that summarizes how I need the data to appear.

Hi everyone! I’m relatively new to Airtable, and wanted to get your advice on my base design (and if it’s even possible). Context: I am running a selection process that involves a written application stage with a pool of 11 different assessors; and then an interview stage with a pool of 14 different people. People applied using another applicant tracking system, but I can export that as a CSV for Airtable. I have already done this just to test it out, in what I’ll call Base 1. What I’m looking to do: Each applicant will have had 2-4 written and numerical reviews, what is the best way to upload these assessments? Would it be within Base 1, but a different table? How would I link these comments to the applicant’s record? I would like to be able to do this so that we are sharing someone’s application and the assessor’s notes with the interview panel; and so that we can calibrate across different people’s assessm

Hi, I have a base with two tables/tabs. Table 1 with contacts incl. email addresses. Table 2 with email addresses. I would like to compare and if possible mark the record in table 1 when the two email addresses match. I’ve created both link and lookup fields but can’t make it work. Link fields are not filled out with data from table 2. Any ideas how to compare fields in two tables? Take care, Anders
