Hello there! I have a last modified time column that watches updates over 20 different columns. Is there a way to catch somewhere the name of the column that has last triggered a last modified time update? If any external tool is needed to get this info, I’m in too (I’ve already got subs @ Zapier, Integromat & Mini Extensions). Thanks!

Hey Guys! Is there a way to do a unique setting for linked records. I only see ways to filter by empty/not empty and Contains/does not contain. I want to say, link to this field, unless value is already present. This will avoid duplicates in my linked field.

Hi, I need my customers to view their mobile purchase totals. however the sharing link of the table does not show in a grouped way nor with the totals for mobile view. does anyone have any alternatives for this? I would like to demonstrate by cell phone in the same way that it can be demonstrated on the computer as shown in the image below. note: I’m referring to view via shareable link and not APP :winking_face:

I have a list of product brands that we sell in a single table. Some brands in the table are actually sub-brands of other brands in the same table. I’d like to have two fields liking to this table internally, one where you can select a parent-brand for the record, and the other where you can select a child-brand for the record. How do I make it so that adding a parent to a child record also adds corresponding child to the parent record?

I’ve tried to search this forum for solutions, but I think I need someone to explain it to me like I’m 5. LOL I have a list of PEOPLE that have participated in training COURSES. Each COURSE is grouped by course CATEGORY. I need to know how many UNIQUE PEOPLE have participated in each course CATEGORY. example: Mary attended AM2 course and AM3 course in Absence Category. Need the unique count to return “1” attendee in the Absence Category. I’ve tried the arrayjoin function and I can get the count. Can also get the count by grouping by category. Appreciate your help!!

Hi all, I am building a sort of ‘attendance list’ which is displayed over a calendar, all I want from it is so that people are able to add their name, and a date in which they will be attending. I do however, want to limit the number of records per day. For Example: If there are already 10 people with the date 09/06/2021, I would like to either not allow another person to add an entry with their name and this date. A warning message would also suffice, in the way of having a last column, and once a person tries do add himself to the a date that has reached its max amount, the term “unavailable” would appear in the last column Any idea on how to approach this situation? I have two bases that I am trying to design a relationship between and am feeling puzzled about how to get them to do the things I need. I have been staring at the records for a few days now, so it is time to ask for help– thank you in advance! Base 1: Volunteers– this has our database of volunteers with their info and interests and volunteer notes Base 2: Project Management– this has a Projects table and Tasks table that are linked Objectives: Create a Volunteer Log table for tasks completed (from Tasks table in P.M. base) and amount of time spent volunteering – If possible, I would love for this log to originate in the Volunteers base rather than P.M. base. Task report view (in Tasks table of P.M. base) that shows how much volunteer time was spent on a given task. It seems like this number should come from a rollup from Volunteer Log…

I have created several columns. Of these, also “Long text” with the option “Rich text formatting”. I then entered text in the fields. In the overview, all fields are filled and look fine. If I now open a cell “Expand row” the content is gone. The same happens with all fields of this type when I open the whole record. All contents at at “Long Text” with the option “Rich Text Formatting” are empty. What is the problem ? Can someone help ? Thanks Greetings Uwe Dauer

Hi! So I have a linked record in my table ‘Communiques’ to a record from (‘Contacts’) and I have a lookup field for that record’s Account field - which is a linked record to the Account table. In the Account table I have a text field for ‘Website’. What I would like to do is show this ‘Website’ record in my ‘Communiques’ table. Hope that makes sense! Hello, My client has a weird problem when using the Long Text field as it deletes each letter after she types it. If she tries to copy/paste from a document, it briefly paste the text and after a second, it all get blank on multiple lines. She has no problem with the other fields. As it works great for me and that I have never encountered the problem, I don’t really know where the problem can come from. Would you have any idea what could be the reason of this strange behaviour ? Thanks Stephanie

For three weeks, I cannot fill cells, but a coworker on his account sharing the same base can fill cells. I created new, personal views in attempt to fix it, but nothing I have tried has resolved this issue.

Hi, I am tracking social media content ideas in one table and I have another table for the specific post analytics. Right now the analytics table is set up where a row can be linked to a specific row in the idea table and certain info is filled in that table. My question is this: can I auto-populate the analytics table with rows that meet a condition of “Posted” in the idea table?

Hi there! I can’t figure out how to make it right. Any help is welcome! I have set up forms for surveys. The surveys are: What are your 5 best movies of all time? What are your 5 worst movies? What are your 5 best horror movies? And so on Anybody can answer to these surveys by providing up to 5 movies each time. I want to have: Survey1: Movie3 (15 votes) Movie7 (13 votes) Movie4 (10 votes) and so on Survey2: Movie52 (82 votes) Movie2 (54 votes) Movie17 (16 votes) and so on Survey3: Movie26 (53 votes) Movie82 (26 votes) Movie1 (13 votes) and so on I can’t find how to count every given movie grouped by survey (then sorted if possible)… What do you think? Hey there, im currently trying to creat a database for at quiz system, and i dont really know how i should do this. Lets start with the basics, there should be a array of different quiz types for example (Classic, Guess the number and Match quiz) and this should have a Category too. This part seems pretty straight foward to me, here i would just create at table for each (Quiz, Category and Type), but now i need to add questions and answers to each quiz, and this is where im getting a little confused, because all the different types of quizzes should have a different layout and im not sure how to do this the best way. Is there a nice and compact way to do this or do i have to create 2 tables for each quiz type? Does this make sence or should i describe it in another way?

I’m currently trying to make a solution that allows my team to submit how many hours they’ve worked on a project into a table called ‘Hours’. I have another table called ‘Team’ that lists the members of my organisation and links to the ‘Hours’ table through the name of the team member. By calculating the difference between start and end time I can calculate the number of hours completed for each ‘Hours’ record. Now I would like to have a column on the ‘Team’ table that calculates the total number of hours for each respective member. I have started by creating a linked record called hours which lists all the ‘Hours’ records associated with the team member but I am not sure how to derive the total of these records. I’ve tried the roundup function but it continually gives me errors so I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong since this seems like very basic functionality. Any help would be greatly appreciated :slightly_smiling_face:

Hello. I have 2 tables, each with a list of names and email addresses and other information. I am trying to link the tables such that table A will search for the same email address in Table B and then pull a related column from Table B into Table A. I have tried linking the columns, but it doesn’t produce my desired results. How do I do this? thanks!

I maxed out 500 fields. It’s disappointing cause I didn’t know about it or I missed it wherever it’s mentioned. At least the Account overview should warn me earlier I am maxing out the number of fields. It doesn’t say anything about that. Now I have to spent days and days to redesign the table, maybe weeks… I have lots of fields primarily because of many complex formulas I have. I rather do multiple steps with formulas so that it’s easier to fix them or update them, given how unhelpful the formula editor is in Airtable. Now I will have to fold many of these fields together to free some space. I have alone 30 fields taken up with formula to generate separate URLs for attachments in the attachment fields (Yes I know there is an addon)… and so on. If I sound a bit frustrated, yes I am. I have recently changed to iOS from Android where I used a wonderful DB called Memento - haven’t found anything as simple or powerful in iOS yet. I’m a flight instructor and used it to track student progress. So, I had a bunch of fields - name, address, phone, email, etc - which every student had. Then I had a tab within the record for the various certificates or ratings a student may be working toward. They may, or may not, have similarish fields to each other. But I need to separate the data out so I can click to, say, Private, or Instrument. Can Airtable handle tabbing like this?

Hey everyone, I’m hoping someone here can help. I’m a real estate agent trying to build a database to track my transactions. I have a table called “People” which includes different categories of people such as clients, agents, escrow officers, vendors, etc. In this table I have a different “View” filtered for each category. I have a table called “Properties” which includes all the info for each property. I have a table called “transactions” that includes the transaction details including lookup columns for “Clients”, “agents”, “escrow officers”, etc. Each of these lookup columns is searching the same “People” table but is limiting the search to the specific “View” for that category. In my “People” table, I have columns for “Name”, “Phone”, “Email”, and a column of linked “transactions” Here’s the problem… inside the “People” table, AirTable keeps creating multiple “Transaction” columns for each different category of person. I don’t want 4-5 differe

So, I have multiple tables and I’m working on one last table (for now). This new table will essentially be a form. As I’m stepping through the form, I’m wondering if there’s a way to filter the subsequent form fields as I go through it. For instance, one table is company, another table is equipment. I have a Unit number on the equipment and they’re linked to the company. Now as I’m going through the form, one field is for company, the next field is the equipment. Is there a way to only show the equipment for the company I select in the previous question? Let’s say I have Company A and Company B, both companies have equipment with Unit numbers 1 and 2. So when I select Company A, I’d like to only see equipment units 1 and 2 for Company A, not for both Company A and B. If that makes sense. Also, is there an easier way to step through without the use of a mouse? I’d like to just tab → type → select → tab → type → select without needing to click on the next f

Hello, I’m using Airtable as a CRM and I relate contacts to specific opportunities. I have a table I link a “pursuit” of a specific contact with different pipeline stages (Pre-Qual, Qual, Offer, Passed). I want an easy way to log everyone who may be interested, and push them to try to offer on these deals. I would really like to easily filter all the leads in Pre QUal or Qual so I can easily click into them and edit the record (taking notes on last conversation, etc). ANd it would be nice to automatically sort the field on the opportunity tab by these pipeline stages. As you see in the screenshot, I have to manually drag these records to adjust the sorting… super annoying and when I have 80 linked contacts to one opportunity, it becomes a mess trying to scroll to find one particular record. Is there a better way?
