Hi, I am looking to hire someone who could help me build a few tables for my venture capital firm. I’d also like the person to explain the tables they built, how they built them, etc… so I can have a better understanding of building more advanced tables in Airtable. Here’s what I’m looking to have built: I’d like to have a table that is basically a fully detailed overview of our venture portfolio. This would include, all deals we have invested in, their values, investment amount, estimated fair value, current raised value, logo, contact, blurb about what they do, website, investment date, sector, sub sector etc… Our second table would be a “public” facing table that would have some of the info form table one, but the details would be more limited and anything private wouldn’t go here. this table would be sent out to investors in our updates, or allows investors to check on the portfolio whenever they wanted to see new additions. Hi all, As I’ve noticed on the community forum it’s a common issue so I decided to share with you our solution on “ How to add a card to a filtered Kanban view for staff member ”. We use Airtable as a project management tool that consolidates financial and operational data. It means we work project based and one or more people work on a project. For planning our work we use Kanban views to followup tasks. For management and time-tracking reasons we want to bundle all tasks from all staff in one database. This results in a filtered Kanban view per staff member. Unfortunately, when you simply filter on a staff member (linked to another table) and try to add a card to the Kanban view, the card will disappear because the staff member is not automagically linked to the card when you add it. Solution Instead of filtering on a linked value, filter on a “Created by” field. Because this is an automated field, the card will remain visible in the filtered Kanban view. Hope this helps! Hi all, As I’ve noticed on the community forum it’s a common issue so I decided to share with you our solution on “How to add a new record in a view filtered on a lookup value”. We use Airtable as a project management tool that consolidates financial and operational data. It means we work project based and one or more people work on a project. It results in big tables where for example financial data is filtered per project (which is a lookup value from another field). Because this filter is applied on a lookup value, the record disappears when you add a record because it fails to fill in the field automagically. Solution Thanks to the recently introduced nested filtering, we have found a solution which makes use of some kind of “timer”. By filtering on the timer and an automated “Created by” field, this record will stay visible for the user who inputs it. Hey folks! I use Airtable for literally everything. I’m constantly making new apps and automating processes for everything I do, whether it’s business or even just tracking personal stuff like gym progress. One thing that I had always wanted for a long while has been to have the ability to create some really customized views of my Airtable data on a website. Specifically, to bring some more interactivity to my tables and connect some of them to the outside world more easily. I wanted a way of hooking Airtable up to the web where I could use HTML/CSS to creatively display the data and let users interact with it. The question of how to extract the last name from a combined “first [middle][…] last [suffix]” name string – or the last word from a multi-word string – comes up from time to time. I offer a solution (with caveats) in a reply to a recent support post. My example is name-oriented but could easily be adapted to an arbitrary string. Hope this will save someone some time! Hello there, I discovered interfaces last week and I’ve been blown away by the opportunities they open. For months I’ve been frustrated by the lack of analytics in Stripe. When I saw Interfaces, I told myself that it could be a good solution to build relevant analytics. So, I’ve built a new database connected to Stripe and created an interface to display the metrics I need, the result is just great. I show it with test data in this video.

Looking to create a 15-20 step new hire workflow process (background check sent, background check received, employment letter sent, employee letter received, email set-up, etc.) In addition, at some of these steps, I would like an email to be sent to the new hire advancing through workflow process and/or existing internal HR employees that are assisting in the new hire workflow process. Is this type of task something that can be easily accomplished via Airtable? If so, I would be interested in working with a consultant to help set-up the new hire workflow. Thank you!

Hey community, We’re a small creative studio that’s currently managing our growing business via Slack/Google Workspace and Dropbox with a variety of Pages docs, Google Spreadsheets, and Google Slides presentations. It’s functioning but highly redundant. We recently moved one of our critical spreadsheets for project management into Airtable and it’s functioning well. Hello, we have been researching and looking into different formulas that would allow us to highlight duplicates. We are looking to add a formula like this How to Highlight Duplicates in Google Sheets but for AirTable. However, we have yet to add or find any successful formulas that will highlight any duplicates automatically if they are added. We are looking for an expert to help create this functionality in every table that we have. So that we can add this to all of our tables.

Hi there, this question has been asked before on the community: Convert address (list) to geocode (latitude and longitude) through map block and google API What we need: A Script or Automation that reads the geocode field of a table and writes lat lon coordinates to separate fields of the same table. What we know: The field is base64 encoded, needs to be decoded and the lat lon values extracted from the array. This base uses the Unsplash API to search for images and save them to your base for review. The base is published on the Airtable Universe here. To use this base, copy it from the Universe into your workspace. You will need an Airtable Pro account and access to the scripting block to make it work. To get going, go to the Unsplash Developer pages, create an account, then create an Unsplash application. This will create an access key and a secret key for the app (we only need the access key). Open the script block in Airtable, click on “Edit” and replace the access key default string with your access key: Close the script editor and run the script. You will be prompted to enter a search term: Enter your term and click on “Next”. The script will pull 10 images from Unsplash using their API based on your search term.
