I recently redesigned one of my personal Web sites - an art portfolio - using an Airtable base on the backend. It pulls all of the artwork (including the information about each piece and the images themselves) from the Airtable base via the Airtable API. It also uses Stripe to handle credit card payments, and saves the orders back to the Airtable base. And for email notifications and receipts, it uses Mandrill. Hello! We currently use a Filemaker database to create and track complicated schedules (multiple hard-keyed start or deadline dates, dependencies that work forwards and backwards, 100 +/- tasks). I am looking for alternatives to that database and Airtable looks like a good solution. I need someone to build the initial schedule framework for me. Ideally the consultant would also train me on both using the framework and adapting it to additional schedule types. Thank you, Gailen

Hi there! I am working with a company that is using the Page Designer block in airtable in a unique way. I use it to make individual “profiles” of possible applicants out to my customers. I do not have a high number of applicants creating profiles (maybe 3-5 a day). So I go through and tweak/edit each individual profile layout on my own. But I run into a problem when I go to save the individual profile that I finished editing as a PDF. I have certain topics/fields bolded on the airtable block, and when I hit the “present” button it looks exactly the way I want it to. But when I press print to then save as a PDF, the bolding of all the text boxes that I’ve chosen to be bold, goes away. And I cannot get it to save looking like how it needs to. I have a windows working on 10, and one of my coworkers has a windows with windows 10, and one has a macbook. The macbook does not have this issue, but the other person with a windows does. We need to be able to mass add additional information to our contacts and trace the date this info is added. We do not want to update their information, but add to it. We currently have 400 lines and need to add info to these lines 6-10 times a year. How do we go about doing this? After we get that info connected to each contact we want to be able to visualize their progression over time. Can someone help me with this? For example, John Doe joined our club made up of 400 members. Part of this club is you can participate in a class and/or join a support group. Our base is made up of the people who are part of the club. Our first set of data (pulled in 1/20) is an import we inputed from our database that shows 200 of the people that joined the club participated in the class and 150 of them joined a support group. Hi - we’re a small size real estate investment company that is looking to migrate over to Airtable to manage our Sales and Marketing functions within our business. In addition, we currently have an Access Database that we use to generate Excel Reports that output investor returns. From what I understand is possible with Airtable, we can utilize the database functionality of Airtable to generate these reports. Anyways, I’m in charge of Business Development for our company and have no idea where to begin in this process. As you may know, Airtable has direct integration with Slack ‘out of the box’. I have just published an article my blog which discusses how to use this to build an absence approval workflow, starting from an employee’s request through to notifying them of approval (or otherwise) - and with a little help from Zapier along the way. Hi all, I’m looking for someone that can build me a custom block that is a PDF document viewer. There will be a single document saved in the attachment field. The document will be either a .pdf, .doc or .xlsx. I have a button to view document and would just like the block to display the document. **Edit: it does not matter if the .xlsx or .doc render for viewing purposes as a pdf I’ve tried page designer for this, but I run into two issues. First, it distorts the document making it blurry. Second, these are potentially multi page documents and it doesn’t allow a scroll or click to the next page.

we build a lot of online activities/courses using storyline (which is basically a souped up powerpoint for online course design). within storyline, you can define variables and run javascript to export data from courses. currently, i have a script that exports from from storyline into google sheets, but i’d prefer to have everything in Airtable. can someone help me do this? in case it’s helpful, the tutorial for the storyline to google sheets connection is here: Export thank you very much.

The uploading of images in the airtable is slow. If I try to upload images in bulk, it shows uploading and if I check after 30 mins …no images are being uploaded. Each image is more than 6 mb. Can anyone please let me know what can be the problem and how I can make the process faster. thank you

I need a simple script developed. There are multiple records in a table. Each record has a field with other linked records. I need a script where I will be able to select the record I want (or better yet, do so by clicking a button field) and then it will display a numbered list of all the linked records in a particular cell.

I’m looking for a third-party service that can assist in moving an entire CRM database from Salesforce into Airtable. I don’t think it’s as simple as a basic CSV import, as the database has a lot of records linked across tables as well as a lot of files associated with individual records. Is there any service that exists for this, whether automated or manual?

Hi folks, I’ve been working on getting all of the transactions from various accounts (different credit cards, debit, investments) into one base for YEARS. Up until now, it’s been a series of monthly CSV imports (using CSV import block) which was a huge pain. Frankly, most months I’d give up and not do it. That is until I discovered TillerMoney and Parabola. Tillermoney imports all of my transactions into a spreadsheet and Parabola lets me setup a nightly runs to sync transactions between the Tillermoney sheet and my airtable base. From there, I can easily map each transaction to a category using a linked record on the vendor (working on standardizing vendor names with a script!) Here’s a quick video on how I’ve set everything up including the Parabola run and a template base to start from A few Qs that I expect to come up: Why not use the sheet? I work at Airtable so it would be awkward… more seriously, mapping vendors to a category is a pain. Why not use Mint or another tracking app?

Per a helpful recommendation from @Justin_Barrett, I’m interested to find help with the following problem. I have a base of companies and another base of investors, linking the two so one can see the investments of an investor and the investors in a company. I’d like to be able to upload a new csv that has another list of companies and their investors. Inevitably, these new lists might include some new investors in a particular company, but also not be exhaustive, so I’d like to be able to just add the new investors to the company, not overwrite the previous list. Eg. If Company in my database currently has investment from Investor A and Investor B, and I import a list that says the company has investment from Investor A and Investor C, I’d like the result to show that the company has investment from Investor A, Investor B, and Investor C. I represent the University of Colorado Denver - where I work - and the Digital Pedagogy Lab (DPL), where I am leading a workshop on Maker Education in late July. I am not spam or scam - this is a sincere introduction and invitation. We are hosting a virtual Maker Faire in the last week of July, and I was hoping Airtable – or an Airtable developer - might give just a bit of time and expertise – to essentially offer a ‘how it’s made’ style demonstration of what’s possible. Possibly even an Airtable for Educators type of demonstration. That’s the idea. The DPL event itself has about 500 participants registered this year, from universities around the country. Within DPL, we’re aiming for a mini-Maker Faire for a couple of hours during the week. All video virtual – folks tuning-in and browsing from home.
