Hi, I’m trying to centralize in one place, all the maintenance issue (should be around 1000) that we have in our apartments (repairs, maintenance cleaning, missing products, etc…). This project should have 2 main components : #1 Inspection form to create airtable entries This list should be build trough an inspection form (mobile friendly) with a bunch of questions per room with possible comments/pictures attachment. Example: [Kitchen] Is it clean ? Yes or No If No, then What is the priority ? High / Medium / Low ? Then create an entry in airtable Airtable should have a way to easily filter the entries (priority, building location, rooms, departments) Airtable/form should also have a way to ignore/mark “duplicate entires” in case we redo an inspection in the same room and one problem/question has not been fixed/completed yet. #2 Reports We would like to be able to somehow report on: Which rooms have the most entries ? Which building location have the most entries ? Which departments h
Hello — looking to use Airtable to manage editorial workflows (including with freelancers/clients) for our content agency. I’ve experimented with the platform a bit but want to make sure the platform will work for our needs — and that we set it up correctly from the beginning so it’s easy for my coworkers to begin using it. Short summary below of what I’m trying to do (and also looking for best practices from a consultant who works with Airtable regularly). If it sounds like a fit, let me know — would love to talk. Thanks! Basic setup: (1) Should we put all clients in the same base (using a client field tag), or does it make more sense to create different bases for each client? There seem to be benefits and drawbacks to both approaches. I like the idea of having all clients in the same base so we can have a company-wide calendar view (doesn’t seem possible to have a calendar view across multiple bases). But we likely won’t use the same record structure for each client, so one base like
We have an airtable with several hundred records, and we need to print it to a large format wall display. I am attaching a draft of the formatting we are trying for. Our goal is to output a timeline in this format—in columns of 3-5 entries deep. Our goal is also to have the items print with a color coded header block (see example) for each of 4 different categories. Each entry in the finished print has 5 fields—Name, visual, Year, description, and category. Visuals need to print in full- not arbitrarily cropped.
Hello - we are an accounting firm with a detailed customer onboarding workflow process that we would like to use airtable to make it customer facing on the web. The workflow will have a series of yes or no questions for the customer. Occasionally we ask the customer to upload documents in response to the questions. The challenge is making the online questionnaire have a good looking front end so it looks nice for customers. I know Airable has some basic form templates but I don’t think that will look good enough. I’d like to hear options that you can create. thanks! Scott Below is a super simple example of what I’m talking about. I can give you more examples. Sample customer questionnaire Section 1: What Software Systems do you use? Section 1A: Do you use Quickbooks Online? Section 1B: Do you use Expensify? Section 2: Please upload your precious financials in excel
Hello - I have an event coming up next month and I need some help with my Volunteer Base. I’m needing to be able to group fields based on the volunteers availability and what "activity’ they are interested in volunteering for… I’m very new to AirTable so I have my main table and it’s pulling options based on the primary fields in other tables… I would like to be able to sort it by Date / Time of Day (morning or afternoon) / by which activities they are interested in (most have more than one) So that I can easily assign volunteers… Anyone have any ideas of how this can be done?
I’m looking to have the Link from the dropbox folder and/or file, stored on a case (ticket) I DO NOT want the files to be stored on airtable as they are very large. I keep the files in dropbox and work them via file manager. I really like the button in gmail to add the link from dropbox to the email. I’m looking to have a simple helpdesk like fuction so all the related emails to the design are in airtable for both Q/A and history. Looking to setup automatic reminders, when the status = X to the customer. Looking to create an email form based canned response that is used by staff to fill out to send to the customer on that case. in the form are choices and calculations for the price. Is this possible to do?
I am an Entrepreneur (in USA) and have started a business providing supply chain finance for agricultural exporters in developing counties (currently Mexico). Essentially we pay suppliers for their approved invoices, at a discount, before the “due date”. I am developing an MVP, seeking assistance developing workflow automation utilizing Airtable & Zapier to integrate apps - Forms (wufoo), eSignature (signrequest), Document Parsing app (docparser), & wire transfer payments API. I’ve started some work on these applications, but realize it would be helpful to have someone with experience perform set-up…particularly in Airtable. No website yet, because I don’t have any automation in place to handle additional customers. Let’s Chat. Thank you, John
I’m starting a company that connects people with extra space in their homes to people who need a safe, affordable place to live through their trusted mutual friends. I’m putting in the backend API so that they sign up w/ Facebook and then I can show them if they have any mutual friends with potential guests/hosts. People answer a range of about 30 questions from pets/no pets, smoking/no smoking, budget range, zip code they want to live in, etc. That all goes into a google doc spreadsheet. I’m looking for a way to use airtable to match up these variables to show matches/close matches. There are really 6 major variables that need to be matched. Bonus points if you can make it easy to share the application of a host w/ the guest, and vice versa, removing contact info, and also if you can make it easy for me to share the hosts photos of the space with the guest. If you can do this I would love to get an idea of cost and I can share the enter google doc with you. Looking to complete ASAP. T
We have developed several basis and are looking for a programmer to help us finish those up (see other posting here). At the same time, we need someone who understands the page designer block to help us determine if we can/should be using it for some of our client facing data. We do not really know what is possible as we have not found a programmer who knows enough about it. Are you the one to design a few pages for us to show us how this can be used? We need help on this front and if you have the knowledge, lets work together please.
Work is related to roster of kids for a summer camp. Data set is updating daily in real time. Need help with efficient workflows, payment management and alerts, possible API and third party integration !
I work for a small VC fund. We need someone to help us transition our entire workflow to Airtable. Specifically, we’re looking to do the following in Airtable: CRM - keep track of everyone we know, including management at companies, other investors, etc. The CRM should automatically pull in data from Gmail/Google contacts. Company pipeline - keep track of all investments we’re considering, including stage, important people, valuations, etc. Portfolio - keep track of all closed investments, including IRR, dates, important people, etc. Should link up to Dropbox, Gmail, Slack All three of these need to link up to each other in the most efficient way possible. The ideal person has built something similar in the past.

Hey all, I’d love your feedback on a tool we’re working on, called Scripts. What is it? An extension that embeds an onsite code editor into your bases. Why would I need that? If you’ve ever used Google Scripts or VBA for automating spreadsheets, this is the same for Airtable. It makes it easy to build custom alerts, automations, workflows, reports, and integrations for your bases, using short Python scripts. The extension handles API calls behind the scenes (even as the Airtable API is quite limiting), OAuth with other apps you’re integrating with, hosting, and more. Who is it for? It’s designed for power users with a bit of Python experience, automation geeks, or API developers. What’s the ask? Take the extension for a spin, reply back with your feedback, and don’t share too broadly just yet… we haven’t yet launched! I wrote a blog post about the idea of iterating on apps with Airtable. Airtable is, to me, a way to allow anyone to create apps—not just programmers. But even for programmers, it’s a gem to iterate and prototype faster, and to build the apps that don’t deserve to be written from scratch. I hope some of you find this useful!
I’ve long had grumpy thoughts about how Airtable’s VALUE() function deals with conversion of malformed numerals. For instance, VALUE('96t7 4B.32') returns 9674.32; personally, I’d be happier if it returned #ERROR!. A couple of months ago, I fat-fingered a value and received a completely unexpected reply. Hoping it might indicate undocumented support for non-base₁₀ values, I began a long trudge through VALUE(), looking for breadcrumbs. Alas, the function doesn’t magically support hex values or anything else comparably valuable — but it does support some unexpected and potentially useful quirks. In brief, VALUE() does watch for a handful of non-numeric characters when working its conversion magic. Most translate correctly only as the last character of a string; otherwise, they are ignored or, in a few cases, trigger a NaN (‘not-a-number’) error. The one character that has significance within a string is the colon (':'), which Airtable reads as indicating hours, seconds, or minutes, depen
I have data in One Note and Airtable that I’d like to merge and also enhance. Particularly I’d like to have the ability to look up a client and see all interactions, service offerings and pricing. Would anyone be interested in helping with this project? Susan Howard - Susan@ERPlus.biz
Social Enterprise NL is looking for an Airtable expert / consultant. We are a foundation lobbying for social entrepreneurship in the Netherlands and giving business support to Dutch social enterprises. Our network organisation counts over 380 member organisations. We want to use Airtable to manage and administrate our members, our coaches, our contacts, our events, our forms and all incoming applications (for the membership, as for the events). We have been testing Airtable past months. We are very happy with the possibilities, but have reached the point where we need professional help to make sure we make smart choices. We require help setting-up and configuring our base. Therefore we are looking for a consultant / expert. We are based in Amsterdam, however overseas assistance would also be fine. Please contact us at anouk@social-enterprise.nl for more information or if you can help.
We are looking for help setting up our Brewery sales CRM airtable. While it’s been a whirl exploring and experimenting with the features, we have realised it would be much easier for an expert to pull something together for us. Ideally, we are looking for main account database attached to weekly reports per sales rep. Within the reports are different categories and we are going cross eyed trying to workout which way the information should sit/flow/flip. Thanks, BD
Hello, I am doing research on air-table and if it would be the best program use for a company with multiple departments? A lot of the tutorials I have seen have used the tabs for individual projects, but I wanted to know if they could be used as departments?
Basically I have a “Job” in the “Primary Field” linked to “Clients”. Each job has various information and a “Multiple Select” drop down for the “Department/s” the “Job” runs through. The “Department” head needs a “Schedule View” showing only his specific “Job/s”. I have this working in the same “Table” under different “Views”, but I want to link this primary “Table” with a new “Schedule” table but can’t seem to get it to work. Should be fairly easy and quick for someone with more Airtable experience.
We are new to Airtable (switching from Smartsheets) and are building our bases/tables to help us manage a busy Special Events production office at a university. We need help with a Zapier integration to ping/send reminder notifications to collaborators before task deadlines. We all use Outlook as our default email service.
Hi, I want to post a job that I’m looking for someone we can create us a solution that we can have a random 4 numeric digits, that we want to have a random unique combination of four digits, the “0” ( or “00”, “000”) can not be in the beginning, in practical, when I create the records on the column, for example “Book” is the first column (primary key in airtable), the records will be “Book 1”, “Book 2”, Book 3"….and I want whenever I create a new records, for instance “Book 4”, there would be generating the random unique combination of four digits automatically on column “ID”, please see the image I’ve attached. I need some excellent folks to help. Let’s try to make this happen.
Hello, Looking for a solution related to database share across multiple ‘airtable’ users. We have a team of 3 people working with promotions and giveaways. At this moment they have 2x personal tabs in their own board: 1st-Leads (include products, prices, offers…) 2nd-Contacts (contact details) | ‘Contacts’ tab is a lookup for leads tab. Issue: Each employee is registering new contacts to their own ‘contacts’ tab to their own board. So if ‘employee 1’ registered customer ‘James’ to his ‘contacts’ board employee 2 and 3 won’t see ‘James’ as company’s client and will give him our deal even he already had one with the previous employee. If ‘James’ will contact employee 2 or 3, he won’t see be recognised as our customer. This is a big issue as we do only one giveaway per customer but some of them contact us multiple times. In this case, the person will receive multiple gifts as others can’t see the record. Need it asap, happy to pay for this solution. If all good, will offer more work strai
Looking for some help “fixing” my project management base. I have so many bases and would like to link different bases to the main dashboard but also need to keep these hidden from other employees (accounting tab etc). Scheduling would be nice - since we use a different app for that Some automation would be great - but it is not in our budget for complicated zaps at this time. I feel like my base is so overwhelming and it takes a lot of effort on the part of another employee to update and that is the reason he doesn’t - so I spend more of my time looking for information in emails. If I need to send screenshots or invites to my base for you to understand what I’m talking about - let me know. Thank you.
Hi, We have an order form link with a database of products, we would like to have the qty affect the product pricing. 1 - 59 = $0.35/each 60 - 199 = $0.30/each 200 - 999 = $0.25/each 1000 - 2999 = $0.22/each We have around 300 products into our database, around 100 needs to be quantity-based pricing. Is there someone here that can help us with this? Thanks!
