Interface Designer

I have an image field used in my timeline that i would like to refine. Currently the timeline label can show the first image as the cover image - perfect.Then the popup window when you click on a record should show the "hero" style view of that image lookup field, but instead is currently showing each image separately making you scroll far to see all the fields/images in the little popup window. Then you expand the record details to see the sidepanel, and the images show correctly as a Hero style viewer. - perfect. Any way to fix the popup window to have option to use the Hero viewer?

Hi Everyone,I can't seem to figure out how to make a summary of all the expense records within a category. I have a table with  expense names with their respective number values and a single select to categorize the expense.However when in the interface designer I can't seem to "rollup" "sum(value)" per category to report the high level rather than every list item.

Hi!I'm looking into making a KPI Dashboard for company-wide use. Traditional solutions would be something like Tableau or Power BI, but since we are a small company and we already have Airtable, I've been trying to scope our Airtable as a possible solution. While scoping it out, I haven't been encouraged.It seems like Airtable has a lot of capabilities, especially when using Vega-Lite, but one key thing that we need is the ability to configure charts easily. For example anyone should be able to quickly change the date range on a chart without it affecting other's view.I also haven't been able to incorporate Vega-Lite into an Interface. I've only been able to include it in the Extensions, which is not a convenient user experience if we have 20+ KPIs. I think I need Vega-Lite to get the charts that I need, for example a Sankey chart is not available with the "native" Airtable charts.Am I missing out on some capabilities or should I move on from Airtable and

I am building a crop planning tool in airtable for our farm. To simplify, we crop plan with some of the following considerations:- What crops are going in a bed (we are diversified farm, and plant multiple species together) - each crop is its own records, so a bed plan will typically have 2-3 crop plan records associate with it. In special cases, there will be around 10 (cover cropping).- What bed they are going in- Expected planting date and expected removal date- What was growing previously, for crop rotation and other considerationsThis would be much easier to do visually. I would like to be able to drag plans forward/back and between beds, to help them fit together.A few difficulties:- As we have multiple plans to a bed, each crop in a plan is it's own line in timeline. Hello! I am trying to use the line chart in interface designer to show multiple lines with YTD data across multiple seasons. I've used the "Group By Season" selection. The inputted YTD numbers steadily increase month by month across the x-axis monthly timeline, but the lines displayed in the chart look like scribbles. Can anyone help me understand why? See three photos attache of data, the chart, and my chart settings.

I've created a simple form which allows users to select a name from the table and provide some details + a file upload. After the form is submitted I update the record (leads to a duplicate record being created, but ignore this issue for now). I've now had over a thousand submissions via my bio link in instagram, but around 20-35% of people complain that they get a "page not found" message after submitting. I have tried this out and this only happened to me once when testing after I opened the link in the instagram browser (as opposed to opening it in Safari). Anyone know what this issue could be, i don't have a url redirect on form submissions so it should just be displaying the thank you message I have written.

Hi, one of my clients can't view a Grid-view Interface on his iPhone.  Airtable documentation says they now support grid views on iOS, but he gets the "This page is not supported on Mobile. Go to desktop to view".  He can view it on his desktop.  Is it because I gave him read-only permission? 

Hello there,i generated an interface and when trying to open it within the mobile app on an iPhone 14 then it is loading endlessly with showing anything.On my desktop the interface is working fine.I closed and reopened the app but having the same issue.Any idea?Thanks a lot in advance.

One of the very best things about grids and lists in interfaces is that they can be filtered locally, that is, user A can find records where State = TX while user B is looking at records whose State = FL at the same time and using the exact same interface. Solves a huge problem with views in classic Airtable. Fantastic.What I ask Santa for when I say my prayers: Let user A's (and user B's) filters on that interface page stick until that user resets the filters or edits them, even if the user switches to another interface page. Hi, is it possible to do the following in the Interface Designer or in Forms (old/new)?I want to create an "add new order" page/form, which will show the user all possible products taken from the Products table, and next to each item the user would be able to enter the desired quantity.Would look something like this:ProductQt.product1<user input>product2<user input>......after submitted the form a new order needs to be created with each row in the above table becoming a new record in "Order Line Items" table. Dear All,I'm designing right know an Interface to show the Warehouse stand of a multi site operation. I've programmed the tables in order to present the stand on each site and then to sum it up to have the general situation. Now I'm trying to visualize all in Interfaces. For the general situation I'll use a Dashboard with filters, but it is not ideal because the number fields are way to big and there is no way to create multi field chart. For the site situation I used the Record picker as a start. This template is a lot better to show a lot of data, because when presented as elements from the Record picker, the number field are small. To visualize the data I wanted to insert here some useful charts, but I've realized it is not possible to connect them to the record picker field. Hi all, I'm trying to build an interface with the recipe and the instructions side by side.I managed to pull all the data i need but my instructions is only showing the first line. The full list only appears when i double click in it.I am not sure if i've missed any settings. For the instructions, I've set it to a dedicated table with one line of rich text formatted in bullet points. I am trying to post all this in one page so we can have them printed.Thanks!

Hey everyone!I need to have multiple record pickers updating a list at once. I saw another post where someone commented on using a filter to group the record pickers, but its not really making sense to me. Hi, I'm looking for a way to create an interface that hold a list of records, that will display a required record only when looked for. kind of reverse filtering.for example:I have a list of of possible types of documents available to the customer.I want the list to be empty, but when he fills a filter with a certain value (for example:invoice), the record called "invoice" will appear.Any Suggestions?Nitai 

In the interface section, when I create a form page, is it possible to retrieve the id of the new entry created by the form?At the moment, I have the impression that the only one I can display is a free text like "Congrats, your answer has been sent" or something similar.Thank you for your reply.Julien

I am confused. I do not have very many records but some tables have about 150-250 fields per record.  When I use the interface designer is it the SLOWEST thing to edit, to the point of being useless. Why would this be as I only have like 200 records in most cases? It  also seem to happen in the evening a lot but I do not have any other extra  computer processes running compared to any other times. I'm getting lags of half a sec on selecting fields normally, I have to literally "Select" say "one one thousand"  then move the field.... but then at evening times and such and a few others I'm getting like a  1-3 second lag time on field selection response and occasionally up to 5! My latency is like 27-33 fyi.

I'm new to interfaces, so I'm only starting to understand them. I have recently created a list layout Interface with multiple pages within this Interface. When updating the record detail layout on one of the pages, this layout is then updated across all pages.Can you have different detail layouts across pages of same Interface or do you have to create new Interfaces?Any help would be appreciated 😁

Hi guys,I run a B2B business and means that throughout the time we have multiple contracts, quotes, services etc. Historical and ongoing.I was wondering If I could create a profile that links their contracts, quotes for long term relationships building that they can see and checkout for themselves - kind of like their own dashboard related to the business that they have with us Kind of like you can see the delivery status and past orders in Amazon

When using automated emails, I'd like to be able to include a URL that opens the expanded "record detail" view within an interface. Ideally, I'd be able to create a formula for this. However, I only seem to be able to do this if the record detail is "full screen" rather than "side screen." I know there is an individual URL for each expanded detail view in the Interface, because I can select the interlocking icon to copy the Record URL. However, I cannot find a way to get these URLs using a formula. I am using the list view. Any ideas? 

Hi all,I have a base in which we collect data on a bunch of indicators. We want to check our progress throughout the year against annual goals that we set for ourselves. We set goals for about 20 indicators out of 50 and we only want to monitor those ones even though we collect data on all 50.I would like to build a dashboard that would pull those 20 indicators, notes what the goal is for each, and then pull our progress. Our indicators are on one table in the base, and the data collection of each indicator is in another table. We do not currently have the goals listed on airtable.I havent figured out what style of interface is the best way to do this. The closest i got was writing the indicators and goals as text and using a "number" element to pull the progress, but that's obviously not ideal- is there a way for me to create a dashboard that looks like this picture and show only the indicators i want (and not all 50)? I dont mind writing up the goals as text.

We have a lot of projects and i want to create a refined high profile project interface. Option 1 is for me to manage what projects show up here, and its a singular list no matter who you are. We are all looking at the same high profile projects. This is easy to do, but less affective. Option 2, which is preferred, is to create a customizable high profile interface. So that each user can go to the page and see the projects they want to monitor. The problem i have with this is that it would need to be a multiple user field, and we would need to trust that when someone edits said field to add or remove their name that they dont mistakenly delete other names. So im looking for a way to make this happen with less risk of user error. one thought is to make a checkbox field to add to your report, and a separate checkbox field to remove from your report. then setup an automation that watches to see what user last modified one of thos
