Hi you’ve got those great Extensions (made by Airtable) like Chart Extension and Pivot Extension but in the Interface Designer, making Bar Charts for example has substantially less options. For example, there is no option to group by to get such a chart: https://cdn.airtable.document360.io/d0ee2ee4-3f78-47c7-b388-85e40be9fb89/Images/Documentation/Screen%20Shot%202017-10-11%20at%205.52.29%20PM.png Are there any thoughts on bringing the most popular/most used Extension applications also to the Interface soon? It is actually quite annoying to create a Dashboard in the Interface perfectly knowing, that a better, more insightful Dashboard remains hidden inside the actual Base. Thanks!

In an Interface, is there a way to allow users to edit records in a Kanban element but restrict them from adding a new stack?
We have a fleet of vehicles, with a entry_date and exit_date, we also categorise their type (passenger/commercial). I was hoping Airtable could graph (suspecting only line graph will work here) each month of the year (Jan 2023/Feb 2023/Mar 2023/etc) and the total count for passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles where the month of the year fell between the entry_date and exit_date. Has anyone done this before? Thanks for any help in advance!!
Hi there,We have a number of users who have interface only access (i.e., no base access). One of our pages uses a 3 level list. When they attempt to add a new linked record/new row through the interface by using the + icon (e.g., a task or action), they get a permissions error. Any insight about why this might be happening would be helpful.
Is it possible send an Airtable form without the Airtable cookies (disable the cookies)? We don’t want to save the forms's information in the cookies, when it’s not necessary.
Hello, Is it possible to show specific data which is unique to Interface-only viewers. I want to create an interface where they can see a record of form submissions (use case: invoices) which they have submitted via an airtable interface form and see what the current status is without seeing everyone elses response. Is this possible? if so, how do I go about it?I would like to avoid duplicating and re-making interfaces for individual viewers so am looking at softr worst case.
Hello! I have recently been building out an interface that has a few different pages within it such as Home, Event Details, Event Contacts, etc. The main purpose for this interface is to create a more user friendly and aesthetically pleasing method for myself and employees to input data to our master base of records. My company manages logistics for touring musical artists so each record in the base represents a single event. Therefore, each page within this interface represents a different slice of the overall information pertaining to each event. If I want to add flight information, there is a dedicated page for that, if I want to input hotel information, there is a dedicated page for that, and so on. Currently, as far as I am aware, the only way to pick which record the interface page is addressing would be to add a Record Picker element which can be used to pick the specific event from a drop down menu. So if I am on the Event Details page within my interface, I need to choose
Hey All - hoping someone might be able to help me out here. Using the list view in Interfaces and three dropdown options, I give my users the ability to generate and view custom reports. I'm trying to find a way to allow them to download/save/export these reports as a PDF or even Google Sheet - and hopefully save the list layout. Here are the issues I'm running into: 1. There is no ability to add a button to the list view (Likely will not be able to work around this)2. I've tried using the page builder extension but it will not allow me to include lookup fields in the data - which is how I'm building the list in the first place. 3. I can't seem to find any other way to pass the filter information through to the automation with a button. In full-page Grid/Kanban/List views there is no option to add a button, and the Grid/Kanban/List elements can't be used as a button source in non-full-page views. Is this beyond the capabilities of Airtable? Has anyone man
I want to have the top filter dropdowns be dependent of each other for the list view. For example, if I select Program A, I should only see the projects that fall under Program A... not all the projects available for any programs.
Creating a CRM and I was hoping to create a master interface to act as a management dashboard and draw from multiple different bases. Is this possible? or does all the information have to be in one base under different tables?
the one thing that is missing for me from Airtable which I thought the new Interface designer and feature will solve, is that it will actually save the exact state of my table when I’m sharing… for example: I have a table grouped by a column that has 7 values, and I’d like the table to start with all of them collapsed for viewers, so that they can see a summary of the key value. 2nd, the width of each column. I figured that if I change a column’s width while in edit mode, it should stay that width when viewers see the table… and currently it does not. with these 2 things not supported, I don’t see much value in this whole feature… are there any plans to add this?
Hello,This feels like a fairly simple question but perhaps not so. I want to be able to have users select a record on Interface Designer, and then be able to click into that record to open up more information about it in the sidebar, as opposed to manually putting grids or fields from that record into the Interface page itself. If I put the primary field connected to the record picker onto the interface page, it shows as text and isn't "clickable", and you can't make it such, or at least as far as I've found. Any ideas? Here's a quick snapshot of what I'm trying to achieve.User picks an invoice, has access to the attachment and the invoice line items, but can't "click into" the invoice record to see other details. I'd like a field right below the record picker that allows the user to open a sidebar for that invoice record. Any ideas?
Hi, I really like how the interface designer works to create forms now. Unfortunately though, once a form view is created it's buried deep in the interface menus and it's really hard to tell it's there unels one knows where to look for it. Is there any chance that form views created via interfaces can show up on the main page similar how it works for standard form feature?
So I'm basically building out a progress tracker to track sales. Once a sales rep lands on the interface, I want them to only see their own record, and nothing else. Any way to do that?Just to clarify, the Sales Rep looking at the interface should only be able to see his own record in the interface. Cheers!
Is there a way to create a link to a form with pre-filled information? For example, I want a button in an interface that can go to a form to add a bug linked to whatever the user was looking at in the interface, so that the link is already set when opening the form.
I am trying to add a button in the interface designer to open up the address in google maps. I want to pass the address and city field to google mapsSo something like:"https//google.com/map/place/" & {Address} & {City} I can't seem to get it to work. Existing examples on this forum seem to refer to the old interface designer. On the new version can you do this? If so can anyone suggest the correct format? Thanks in advance.
Is there a setting to only receive notifications if someone is "@" ?Currently seems like in our interface, once you get an "@", you are permanently watching that comment thread for all future comments. we do NOT want that. so ... Is there a setting to only be notified if you are "@" in that specific comment? OR ... is there a way to unwatch the comments from interface?OR ... is there an automation or API to constantly run to unwatch comments?OR ... a script to unfollow?
I am trying to make a graph that will demonstrate clients that are coming to these mandatory briefings, however I have to use two date fields to represent their attendance since each client has two opportunities to attend one of their mandatory briefings. The fields are:ISSUANCE BRIEFING (1st ATTEMPT)ISSUANCE BRIEFING (2nd ATTEMPT)and there isIB1 Attended <-- Single Select field that is for selecting Attended or not Attended for the first briefingIB2 Attended <-- Single Select field that is for selecting Attended or not Attended for the second briefing. Due to AirTable limitations, I cannot easily show in a bar graph where it has a combination of all people attending each briefing, and can be grouped by attended and not attended and/or distinguish how many people in this meeting are going to their first attempt or second.AirTable forces only one X value. So I am looking for automations or ways to visually represent this data. Drew
Hi there,I have two tables : "Meetings" and "People".Each meeting is of a certain Type (Single Select)Each meeting can contain multiple People. Some People are team members, some are not.I want to create an interface chart to display the total number of meetings per People, aggregated by Type, but only for certain People (team members).Unfortunately, when add as a condition that the displayed Meetings have to contain People that are team members, the graph also shows other People that are part of these meetings, but that are not team members. It makes sense so far.But what I would like to do is to filter the People displayed on the x-axis only. Is there a simple way to do so ?Thank you for your help !Jean
Hi all,I'm trying to set up a form which has a dynamic appearance depending on the time of day/day of the week.During our working hours I'd like users to be able to submit details through the form in order to receive an urgent response from our clinic team. Out of hours, I'd like to divert the user to emergency contact details and a link which allows them to book a routine appointment with our team.Any thought on how this could be achieved? Thanks in advance,Laurence
Hi, I'm new to airtable, I've created an invoice generator in Airtable interfaces, however I am struggling to figure out how to make it editable. I would be so thankful if someone could help me out. I have a catering company, my client invoices are updated 4-5 times throughout the project pipeline. Here is what I am trying to achieve: A new invoice is created & Linked to client project (this is complete) After the first invoice is created, allow the user to open the most recent invoice > create a new invoice from the exiting one > edit/ update the new invoice > submit new invoice > tag as "most recent version" What I cannot figure out: How to create a new invoice from the existing one How to tag the invoice as "most recent version" to make it easy for the user to identify which version is the most recent I tried creating button that runs an automation to duplicate the previous invoice but it's not working. I would be so thankful if someone could offer me
I have a form that is letting people create Inventory Request Records, choosing Item Records they would like to check out from our inventory. We would like to have a way that will automatically prevent them from choosing an item that will be checked out during the dates they have selected.Using the filters and conditional options for these fields, I only see being able to toggle visibility for the results of the "check in date" and "return date". I would like to use the values from the questions asking for the dates to compare to the records in our "Items" grid so "Items" checked out will not be visible but I cannot find a way to do this. We are not able to use a 3rd party platform.Any guidance on maybe how to rework the fields to allow us to use the info from previous answers to help filter their selection? Is there any way to have formulas or more advanced coding in these forms?
My team uses the revision history function a lot when editing records. Currently, that function is not available in an Interface, as far as I can tell. I hope that it can be added ASAP. I have a workaround that embeds a link to the record in the base, and directs the team member to click on the link and open up the Activity pane to see the track changes. This is a workable solution, but far from an ideal one, as it requires the team member to interact with the base itself rather than the much more streamlined—and much less confusing—Interface.
Hi all,I feel like this question may have a very easy solution, however I have been unsuccessful with my attempts so far. Basically, I have created three interfaces with one or two pages in each. I want to share a couple of my interfaces with some of my team members, and the other interface with my other team members. I am struggling to understand how to accomplish this, such that they do not have access to the other's interfaces. In the sharing options, it gives me the option to share to individual bases via link, however when I test the link i can click back and open the other interfaces (I also tried with another account I can access to test it and the same result happened) I am sure I am missing something. And if there isn't a solution, a work around where I only get one page/interface is acceptable. Thank you,Ben
