Hello,Is it possible to combine multiples of identical x-axis values in the interface chart?I have multiples of identical x-axis values and I want to combine those values into 1 bar.I could make a special summary table with a roll-up but then the person using the interface would not be able to filter the records the way they want, so I need the chart to show all the records and be connected to the accessible filter element in the interface.
Why is the GRID view not working, but the LIST and other views are ok.It reports an error in the GID viewNo tasks found for "https://airtable.com/sh********I".Try editing your search query. Please some advice and help
As of this morning, Grid Elements have been showing an error message:"No Records found for [email address] that match current filters. Remove filters to see more results."Tested with List Element instead and that's working fine. Any idea when this will be fixed? My team relies on Grid elements to access their workflow.
When I @mention someone on Interphase and they get an email notification to link them to the base to see the comment, is there a way to link them to the Interphase via that notification? I’m running into a bit of trouble with @mentioning someone and they’re taken to a gridview instead of the Interphase view. My gridviews and my interphase shows different fields so when they’re taken to a grid view, they don’t see the necessary information/fields.
Hello everyone!I ran into a problem which I currently have no idea how to resolve.I have a script using an API call which logs the user into external system. This is not an automation script, but the script from a scripting extention. This is because fetch() function behaves differently and only passes authentication data when used in scripting extention. I can run the script pressing a field button in a grid layout.Data grid:Now I need to provide the user with an interface button that would finally resulted with logged in state. But this seems not as easy as it can be imagined. It is not possible to directly call a script with a button action as it is only capable of running an automation script, not scripting extention.Interface:However, using an interface button I can change the state of a checkbox field of the same record where the field button is, but I do not get the idea how to bind these two so when I tick a checkbox the filed button would be pressed. As far as I know a field b
Hello --As of this morning, when my team logs onto any interface with search enabled (on a grid), it is almost instantly searching the table for that user's email. I do not have "Viewer's records only" selected, and when I am in the editor view the search bar is blank. It's almost like it's trying to treat the stored information from the user's browser as a login (note: it is happening across multiple browsers). It has happening across multiple interfaces and interfaces that pull from multiple tables. I don't know if this is a known issue, or if there's some global setting I didn't know about that I've accidentally toggled.Thank you 🙂
So I have a table called "Dealerships" and a table called "Services". Each record in "Services" has a date, an amount, and a link to "Dealerships". I'm creating an interface that will aggregate these, so I can know the amount that came from each "Dealership". I know I can do this with a Rollup, but the problem arises when I try to use a Filter element in the Interface.I have a "Dashboard" page and a "List" element sourced from "Dealerships". This list contains both the Dealership name and the rolled-up amount.I need the user to be able to select a date range via a Filter and have the Rollup be updated to only add up the services that match those dates. I haven't been able to find a way to do this. The closest I came to a solution was to use 2 levels in the List, which actually DOES filter the services in the 2nd level but does NOT change the value in the Roll-up accordingly.Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Is it possible to create a new record from within an interface's form lookup field?I'm running into an issue where I need to be able to use a lookup field in my form, but often need to create a new lookup field record on the spot. See below image with what I need, but must not be an option.
Is this simply being overlooked right now by Airtable? Currently we "add new records through a form". However, the form lacks the capability to "create a new record" for a lookup field. However, I noticed, that in an interface, if you turn on the ability to edit/delete records in-line, then you get the ability to create a new record directly from the lookup field. Seems like this is something that just hasn't been rolled out yet? Editing/adding records inline, isn't a great solution for our workflow, so really trying to figure this out! Thanks in advance!1st Image - Showing in-line lookup fields ability to create a new record if one doesn't exist2nd Image - Showing forms lack of ability create a new record.
I have the calendar working and syncing with all my accounts. I am looking for a way to align the appointments in columns based on with email the appointment is made with. Currently all appointments get aligned left and if there is a opening in the schedule, those appointments shift left and are no longer aligned top to bottom. I only care how it looks on the public shared calendar.
Hi, I've put together a few Interface pages that I'm very happy with. Dashboard pages allow you to add various elements together in the same page, but for any other page type this option disappears. Is it possible to add an element to, for instance, a List page?My use case is to add critical information/instructions at the top of the page, or a button to submit feedback specifically on that page. I would simply put my List in a Dashboard page, however doing that removes the ability to use filter tabs, which I need. (Yes, I'm aware of the ability to filter lists in a different way in the Dashboard, but I specifically need the tabs, and the option to "Collapse all by default"...neither of which are available in the List element in Dashboard pages.)
I would like to create a user portal where our Board Members can login and read displayed information from a base and respond some basic questions (Yes/No, Check mark, comments) that would become linked records. I've found a way to add the reviews inline while viewing a Record View, but ideally, the option to add would be at the top of the field (and possibly hiding the other reviews written, or displaying them in another place), and it would automatically capture the User Name. Moreover, I would like it to be able to show which of the records that person has not yet reviewed. Is there a better way to do this? Possibly via integrations/extensions, or better yet...free forms!I feel like I don't know the terminology well enough to find what I'm looking for, but surely it exists!
I'm hoping this has an easy fix because it's a pretty simple use case! I have a table where each record is a task. Each task may have multiple contributors. I have a field that indicates the month the task will be completed as well as a field that shows who the key contributors are (Multi-select field). I need to create a view where each contributor can see all the tasks they are to work on, further broken down by month. The problem is that using the grouping feature, there doesn't seem to be a way to have a single records included in multiple groups. For example, if Sally and Roger are both contributors on a Task 1 in September, I'd need that task to be included in Sally's list as well as Roger's list and NOT in an aggregated grouping called "Sally and Roger". How can I accomplish this? (my desired break down is below). Thanks for any ideas!Sally's tasks:SeptemberTask 1Task 3Task 5OctoberTask 6Task 7Roger's tasksSeptemberTask 1Task 2Task 4OctoberTask 8Task 9
My wife and I run a dog grooming business. When we set up appointments we associate a dog with the appointment. When we are selecting the dog, is it possible to have additional information below the dog name in the bubble? Namely, the customer name? Here is a picture that should clarify what I am getting at.Thank you for any assistance.
The new configurable “Record Detail” Interface is a fantastic and long awaited feature in my book. However, its functionality is severely limited by the fact that all Pages within an Interface share the same “Record Detail” Interface for a given table. The Situation:My company has a very complex Airtable Base that we use to manage our Architectural Design Business. The base is structured to revolve around a table we call “Items”. This table has around 120 Fields, of which around 30 need to edited by a user at some point during a project. The nature of our work requires us to approach the same “Item” from multiple different phases or perspectives throughout the course of a project. Each one of these phases requires us to interact with a different set of fields from the “Items” Table.A simplified example is below:There is some shared data across all phases, such as Name, Project, Item Code, Room, Status, Etc.Budgeting Phase: Budget, Importance, Client Wants, and Typical Price. Hello folks,I have a record picker, and cannot find a way to fix some letters truncation in the name field on the heading of the details pane.(That field comes from the primary field of the underlying table, 'Seasons')The problem is that the value of the field appears misaligned from the area defined to it. This causes tall letters (see "p" and "g" in the image below) to show truncated. If I have a means to specify the vertical alignment as 'centered' then it would show those letters full. When I enter edit mode and select the name field I get this view: On the right-side pane the properties of the field are displayed:[Data tab]Source: Seasons (Record list)Field : Name[Appearance tab]Size : drop-down list: Default | LargeLabel : toggle show | noshowThe Size attribute offers only those two options. 'Default' is too small; 'Large' turns its font bigger and bold, but "p" and "g" get truncated as shown in the image. There must be a way to fix that. Suggestions wil
Hello!I am trying to create pie graph, that combines data from mutiple different fields and show them togetherFor example:I want to combine that data and show that Group 1 had 61% of the score and so on. In one graph is there a way to do this?
Hi community,I'd like to give two of the interface collaborators editor-level access. Will I be charged an additional subscription fee?
I published an interface and when I open it in Chrome on an Android smartphone everytime I scroll with my thumb, the detail page opens and makes it impossible to bite the entire list.Records should only open when tapped, not on a swipe!
In my all of my Interfaces now when I try to add a new linked record, I would click on "Create a new record" and enter the info and click Create button at the bottom BUT instead of showing the Create button it shows Field Deleted?? This is not my field, it is an Airtable button? All my permissions seem correct etc. Also in some of my other interfaces the same Linked record does not even show "Create a new record" , even though it should be allowing it. Please help! It does seem to relate to the same table of Contacts where other linked records to other tables do not seem to have the issue. Also I tried this in 2 different browsers, same issue. See attached screen shot. Thanks!
Hi,The functionality of creating a new ticket is not working as it should. Is anyone else experiencing this error?Thank you
Hi there - I'm creating interfaces for different external users, but some of my field names make more sense internally than externally. I'd like the field names in the interface to be different than what they are in the base. For example, my base has a field called "Load Description HTML", but I'd like that same field to be called "Contains which product?" in the interface. This would be similar to how Form Views allow you to change the field names so they make more sense in the form.Does anyone know if/how this is possible? Thanks,Kelsey
Hi all,I hope you can help:At the moment, he same view in interface designer hides the other fields of a record (please see the attached screenshots) which make them really difficult to find the right lesson when people use compared to the database. Is there a way to add these additional fields to my interface? Many thanks, Alastair
Hi! I'm looking for a way to combine multiple Sync'd Table Views into a single Table. I feel like this should be relatively easy, but i'm not thinking about the solution properly. I'll explain belowI have 3 Project Teams, and each team has their own AirTable Base for tracking their staff, and a bunch of fields relevant to that.I have a Studio Leadership Base, that has all 3 of these Projects syncing a view upwards so Leadership can see everything combined and create more holistic studio reports. The Leadership Base looks like this:Combined Studio Table / Project 1 Sync / Project 2 Sync / Project 3 Sync /I'm a little stumped how to take Project 1, 2, and 3 tables and have all of that information appear in a single view in the Combined Studio Tablethanks in advance!
this is really irritating. i'm trying to report a bug but the freaking chatbot wants to send me here...anyway:there seems to be a bug: if you access an airtable interface with an account that doesn't have edit permissions and you press ALT + 1 (the shortcut to enter edit mode) airtable throws an error...which looks like buggy behavior to me.you're welcome.
