Interface Designer

Love the new List View - really useful.BUT - is there a way of removing the "Level 1" text in interface designer?  See screenshot.  I just don't need it and it would be confusing to users. 

I am new to Airtable and having trolled the site, youtube, internet and anywhere else I could think of have been unable to find a solution.Is it possible to create a customised user friendly data entry form to my own design? Instead of a set piece format.Many ThanksBruce

 Having the ability to clear unpublished changes on the interfaces has been very helpful, and is  in line with many of other development environments I've used.  In case I'm not being clear, I'm referring to the little blue dot (see below) letting us know the page has not been published, where moving the mouse pointer to the right bring up options including the clear changes.  My concern is when you have enabled "Allow users to open Record Details" when they select a record in many different views.  This will open a Sidesheet (or full page view) of the record, which can be customized.  The problem is that there seems to be no way of clearing changes in this view, once you're made the change it's done, and if you go to the the main page and use the clear changes option it will not clear these changes.To further complicate things, the Record Details sheet is shared for every page that points to that table, so an inadvertent change will show up in multip

Hi, is there any way to display on the interface a result from a formula?I am trying to track how many contracts we have signed for the month and year against the goal for the month and year and then display the percentage of goals complete and the remaining amount to the goal.For example, we have 52 contracts signed so far this month, but the goal is 360 for the whole year. How do I show the percentage of goal complete and the remaining contracts we need?Is there any way to display that on the interface?Thanks!Miguel

The Timeline view in the base has great resource utilization functionality that isn't yet available in the interfaces. I'm wondering if there's a good solution for using a chart to demonstrate utilization over time without having to go into the core base.Full ContextMy company uses Airtable as our primary work management system - we assign employees to tasks, which have estimated times to complete (as we bill our clients hourly for work). I'd like for our operations team to be able to easily see how much work an employee has day-to-day within a given time frame. In our base, tasks have a start and end date. I can use a WORKDAY_DIFF() formula to return the number of days a task is scheduled to take, and then use a simple division of the overall time value by that number to get the  hours per day the task takes. The intention here is to roughly estimate how much work the employee has to do (i.e. the sum total of work assigned shouldn't exceed 8hrs a day per employee to accomplish)Wh

Trying to get get a common filter so users can modify dates or workflow status  and it will automatically changes the dates. I would like the users be able to add workflow status and/or modify the date range of the graphs and then update the data. How can I do this? Each chart is already connected to the filter element     

Hello, does anyone know if it is possible to design an interface based on a Record Picker where there is a field that is only visible if a precondition is given in another field?For example:I create a new entry where I relate that entry to a value in another table. Then I look at the value of a Lookup field and if the value is "xx" the the field is visible in that interface, and if it is not "xx" this field is invisible.Maybe there is no solution for this... But thanks in advance!:))

Hi all, I have a record picker in an interface. I need it to automatically do certain actions taking the name or ID from the record I click on the list. Does anyone know if there is a way of retrieving the identifier of the record being clicked? Does some trigger type detect that a record in the picker was selected? I failed to find something searching through support articles. Maybe someone can confirm whether such a feature was actually implemented in interfaces, or can suggest some smart trick. Thank you.

I used a calculation to track the week (in a cal year) that a data point was input into my base so I can track my sales team meeting their weekly quota.  When I charted this in the dashboard, multiple weeks (16, 17, 17, 18, 18, etc.) showed up in the chart (pic 1).  If I spread out this report in the db, even more weeks show up (pic 2)

I am creating an interface for my team. I want to allow them to choose between a gallery and a grid to view the information. However, the "Allow users to switch visualizations" toggle is not there, and I can't seem to find a setting that would have made it disappear. Is this a bug or is there some other reason why the toggle option is not available?

Pretty new to AirTable.  Trying to build simple base to keep track of group members.I have a Members table, a Groups table and a Group Members table. This last is a join table with a column for Group, a column for Member and other columns that aren't related to this issue. The Group Members table also has a Name column which is the primary key.  It is a formula which is basically Group Name & "-" & Member Name.I'm building an interface to show the Groups table. It has a list of groups that I can pick from, and the proper record shows in the interface when I do this.I added a grid which is bound to the Group Members table. It shows the proper fields, but is not being filtered by the particular group I have showing in this interface.  I expect it to only show the group members associated with this group.  The filtering options are good, but require a hard-coded filter.  Instead of that, I want the grid automatically filtered to show member records from th

I don't know if this is intentional, but I can't imagine it would be, as every form can be modified in interfaces. Hitting the + button on a Kanban stacking field opens up a form that can't be customized.Only the fields that show on the record as they appear in the Kanban stacking field itself show up on the 'add a new record' form.Is anyone else experiencing this? It makes the Kanban field almost entirely unusable, especially for users who don't quite understand what's going on.Or am I just doing something wrong?

Hy,my name is Josef, I own a agricultural contracting business and built myself a little interface for managing machines and operators in a timeline view.I spend a lot of time in the Day view, but it is a little bit confusing. First, it is not visible right from the start where the day starts and where it ends. Second, I don't need to see all the hours from midnight to midnight.So the main Question is: is there a way to either Zoom in or to only show a specific range of time like from 5 in the morning to midnight?thxJosef

Apologies if this has already been addressed elsewhere, I couldn't find a similar post and need to get this off my chest 🙂I'm desperate to have the functionality available to add new linked records through an element on an interface in whatever layout / style I need (List, Grid, Kanban...etc). Right now it appears the only way to do this is to add a "Field" element from the linked records, and use the "card" layout.When you add an element like a list, kanban, grid...etc that shows linked records, I want to filter those linked records by the main parent record, AND have the ability to add new linked records to parent record through one of these element layouts.Each element filters properly and appears to keep the button where adding new linked record should be, though it's grayed out, locked, and displays a tool tip saying "this feature is not currently available....etc"The verbiage of the alert leads me to think this is a feature that's coming very soon, or AT would have just r

I am creating a form in Interface Designer. I have fields that are single select. Unfortunately I need the person who is filling out the form to be able to do single select option, if their option is not listed then they are able to use single line of text. When I go to change the preferences it only shows that it can either be mandatory field or not. No option to allow to input text if single select option is not available. Is there a way to make that possible or is that not feasible?

Hello, I recently noticed an issue with the column headers for list elements in interfaces. When you add a prefix field to the list, the column header for that prefix field is not visible. This is fine, except that this affects the alignment of the other column headers within the list. Specifically, the header for the second column that appears in the list (aka the first visible field that is not the prefix field), is aligned on the far left side of the list, over the prefix field instead of the field it's supposed to be referring to. For example, if you want to display project information and your fields include Project Status, Project Title, and Project Staff, and you create a list element with Project Status as the prefix field, and Project Title and Project Staff as the visible fields, you will get a list that has three columns (one for each field), but only two column headers, with the "Project Status" header not visible, and "Project Title" aligned over the status column ins

We are evaluating Airtable for use as a flexible project management system. A significant part of our workflows concern the intake, organization and review of PDF documents (e.g, correspondence, memos, progress reports, etc.).We have a firm grasp on how Airtable can help us with respect to the intake and organization workflows for PDFs as attachments. Scenario: I have a base with a table in it.  This base has the grid view, kaban view, and a form view.  The form view allows for the creation of new records.  When using the Kaban view from within the Data section, it seems very useful in my overall goal in creating a ticketing system.What I am trying to figure out is when creating an interface for these records using Kaban as the element, is there a way to allow for adding 'seeing and adding collaborator's comments' from w/in the Interface?  I can see these comments fine in the 'Data>Table>Kaban View' but don't know how to see these comments, let alone add new ones via the Kaban view in my interface.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

From what I have explored in the Interface Designer, I find it difficult to create a combination of Line and Bar Chart. Is it possible to do this in Interface Designer?

It would be fantastic if Chart Elements could serve as a linked filter for Grid Elements, in that highlighting a certain column of the chart would automatically apply that value as a filter to a grid of records elsewhere in the interface. This is especially needed in Interfaces since the Chart App in our bases is already capable of showing you components records when clicked!
