Interface Designer

Trying to build a Multi-series line charts. I found articles from 2022 announcing it as a feature in interfaces but can't find any information about how to do it. HI there, I have a classic Order, Order Line items setup (i.e. One Order and multiple related line items). In our case the order of the linked line items is really important so I was wondering how I can sort linked records in the Interface designer. I tried using the Grid view of the linked record field, but that does not for some reason allow me to change the order. This prevents us unfortunately from using the Interface designer as my users have to be able to sort these items. Adding new linked records is also a pain as I can only achieve it with an extra field and an automation that picks up the selected record and adds it as a new line item. But that work-around would be ok. However the missing ability to sort linked records is crucial. Cheers, Konrad

Hello Airtable Community! I created a stacked line graph using Vega-Lite in the dashboard of a base. However, the graph is not interactive (i.e. can't see the exact values when I hover above a line) and I can't seem to move it onto the interface. Is there a way to create stacked/multi-series line graph, including a mean line? Here is the graph using Vega-Lite that I'd like to recreate in the interface!Thank you! 

Hello, how do I add a value from a single select field to a timeline view?

I have ~20 independent interfaces, all of which are intended to maintain identical structure and formatting. Is there a way to push/publish design modifications from one interface across ALL interfaces? I unfortunately can’t make use of the interface filter and record selector tool for my application.  

Having a hard time making it that when Entering a new contact, they can also add a new organization. I should note...Contacts and Orgs are on two separate Tables. Interface is 'contact' centric -- ie, it's viewing the contacts table. I've figured out how to allow users to create a new contact, but within that contact, I can't seem to Add a new org. No idea where this 'contact form' template has come from -- there isn't a corresponding form on my dataand within the customize button, I see no means with which to permit 'adding a new org'Please tell me this is an option 🤞🤞🤞

I am a little confused about the release of all these new features in the interface designer for the record detail pages. Many great additions and functions. Many that we asked for. Thank you.BUTAll of them only seem to apply only to new pages I create (which is a good thing for now), not to existent pages.  Do I eventually have to redo all my old pages from scratch or will these new features eventually be available (by my own choice) on my existent pages?Many things seem to have gone missing or are different:I can no longer place individual text elements on my pages.I can no longer user separators.I can no longer duplicate reference field items, such as lists, etc. to use them in different places of my page.I can no longer place the comments section where it best suits our needs.I can no longer place buttons exactly where I need them.I can no longer idividually

Hi all, I'm looking for a solution to the following - When someone on my team is mentioned in the comments on a project they are a collaborator on, it sends them an email notification. In that email notification it links to the actual data section of the base in an expanded record view. Is it possible to get it to link to the page of an interface instead? Or to turn off those notifications and set up an email automation instead? I don't want them using the data section of our base.thanks,Megan

I am designing an interface that contains a grid. I attempt to reorder the grid columns by grabbing the dots to the right of the name and manually reordering, but after changing the order it snaps back to how it was originally. I am not sure whether this is a bug or not. It occurs in the standalone Airtable Windows app and web based chrome.

Hi! I am hoping someone can help me. Currently, we have Everhour turned onto run on our task list in our Airtable Database. I would like the same button "start time" to exist on the corresponding Airtable interface, but I can't find any articles on that. Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks! Brianne 

Until yesterday when I clicked on Interfaces in the base I got a screen with all my interface icons, both published and unpublished.  Suddenly that is gone and I get dropped into one of my interfaces with no ability to see my unpublished ones.  Anyone know what happened and how to access unpublished ones?  

If you share a read-only Interface, is the person with read-only access required to create an Airtable account? I wish to share an interface, but I don't want the read-only user to create an Airtable account and login each time they have to view the Interface.

If I have a field of type "Link to..." only the ID appears in the search modal, I have no way to choose which other fields to appear:Instead I have a way to make other fields appear in the detail view:

Simple thing I'd like to do: Display the current date (and possibly time) on an Interface screen (blank template).  I created a field in the base that shows the date, but there's no way to display a single field.  I looked at the text object but there's no way to enter a formula in that object.Anyone accomplish this before?  TIA!

It is so frustrating that it's 2023 and AirTable can not group data along x-axis in graphs, forcing you to make several/many graphs to compare data. For example I want x-axis to be product lines, but for each product line it should have multiple bars for each year, and the y axis is revenue. This way you can see performance across each product line across each year for comparisons without making multiple graphs is there an alternative way to get data to do this

Hi All, I have a base and there I have information about customers.Each customer has associated different tables with information like contacts, references/products, payments, invoices, order history, samples, etc.I want to know if  I can make a dashboard (with interfaces) that integrates the information of all the tables related to a customer, and I can see everything mentioned in a single view panel.Thanks, J

The Airtable product team track record continues to baffle...I suddenly got the new record details layout experience, and although a bit surprised after having no mention of it in the What's New July 2023 edition that went out barely a week earlier, I was initially excited. The redesign is clearly inline with the record detail view on mobile devices (hinting at mobile interfaces coming soon??)...That is until I realized that it completely broke the ability to change edit permissions on linked record fields where the records are one-way synced from another base. As in, if you had fields that were set to editable before this update, they are stuck on being editable, and if you have non-editable ones or try to add new ones, they are stuck on being non-editable.If you hover over the "Allow users to link/unlink existing records" switch you see this message: "Users can't link/unlink existing records because this table is synced from

I'm just gonna lead with this... I HATE AIRTABLE... and I mean I HAAAAAAATE AIRTABLE. I'm forced to use it but I can't stand it. It is THE most clunky P.O.S. website I have ever seen and of course this point is driven home on a daily basis. I'm trying to delete an interface or unpublish it, but for some unknown reason, I cannot seem to find the interface menu to let you do this anyway. I searched the forums and the documentation for these elusive "3-dots" I'm suppose to see next to the interface name, but I don't see them.Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong, so I can get pass this and not have to deal with this crappy website for another month. 

I have 3 tables - projects, tasks, showsRecords in projects and records in tasks are linked to shows.I'd like to have an interface where I can see all of the projects and all of the tasks related to a show on the same page.Is there a way to use the filter = show name, to then show a grid of the projects and a grid of the shows with that show name?

Hi there, Apologies if this is a bit elementary: I've created a URL field in a base, and I want to create a button in an Interface that will reference the link inside it and when clicked, take you to that page in a new tab. However, whenever I click "Go to URL in Record" option, it says unconfigured source and nothing comes up.  How do I fix this?  Thanks, Peter

Hi Community,I have interface with many layouts and with most, I have to allow users to (+ Add Records )  but then if they x out of that window it still creates an empty record and links it! how can I prevent this behavior and still give users the ability to link and or create new records from that button? If users change their minds and decided not to create a new record and just click the X button without putting any data records still getting created! Appreciate any input

I would like to change the colour of my interface tiles.I see I can change the icon, but not the colour.Any tips?

hello,I have a project tracking tool in airtable and am trying to track project status over time. basically a cumulative chart of projects open and closed over time, something similar to this:Basically, I need a collum with time another with running totals for open projects, and another for closed projects, and then chart these. Ideally, I would love to have this in an interface chart.is there a way to achieve this, I have seen similar questions but so far I have not seen a straightforward answer.
