Interface Designer

Whenever I try to copy/paste formatted text (eg bold) in a long text field within an Interface, whenever the long text field is long enough across the screen, it makes my screen jump to the beginnen of that field AND it forgets the formatting (bold will become plain text when paste). This is very annoying and happens when I copy/past from outside AT to that field, but even when I copy/past with text within the field.Anyone else got this issue?Mailed to support in April about this. They confirmed it needed a fix, but nothing so far...

I spent hours adding hundreds of editable fields to an interface. The associated table is near the 500 column limit (476).75% of the way through adding the fields I started getting the error "Sorry, your request conflicted with another change and was reverted." whenever I added or edited something on the interface.Has anyone else faced this? Am I reaching a secret interface field limit I don't know about? I really do not want to spend hours rebuilding this interface from scratch just to get the same error again. I tried: -having a collaborator edit, same error.-making sure my permissions are set to creator-logging in and out + clearing cache-creating a new user and editing with that account-two different web browsers-duplicating the interface and editing that one-publishing and unpublishing the interface      

The Insights function provides information on activity for a given base and/or associated interfaces. It doesn't get me what I'm looking for so I'm curious if there is a way to gather additional metrics such as:MAURatio of new to returning visitorsBounce RateThank you!

Hello all,We have a fleet of vehicles. The people still fill in the data on a sheet of paper. I'm trying to digitize this a bit and I'm using the interface function (Forms).The person in charge would like to have a function that ensures that people cannot enter incorrect kilometers since they have to split up their kilometers driven.Do you know if something like this would be possible? Unfortunately, I have not been able to make it work.Thank you very much.    

Hi,I have 4 tables in my base:StaffGroupTeamDeliverablesThe Staff table has a linked record to determine a person's Team/Group.  The Deliverables table has a linked record to determine what staff is working on a deliverable and a lookup value to show their group & team.  The Team table has a rollup field with all Deliverable key values.  Note for complex org structure hierarchy and the need to look at what a group is doing vs what a team within a group is doing, I can't create a simple Option list in Staff with all possible Group/Team combos.I'd like to create an interface where I can see what deliverables a given Team is working on.  If I put in a record selector for the Team table, I can pick a specific team and get the list of deliverables.  However I see no way to expand the list into a record picker.If I start with a record picker and link it to the Deliverables table, I don't see a way to create a filter that restricts the options to the Teams values.

Hello, I have a list view with multiple tabs. I would like to change the default tab to not be "All records" but another one instead. I have tried to reorder tabs (to put "All records" at the end) in order to achieve this :- I successfully managed to implement the desired behaviour on my personal account (different base / interface)- I didn't manage to do it using my current account. There is apparently no way to change default tab...Are you aware of some specific behaviour that would differ depending on account (and maybe plans). That would be very surprising but I don't find any suitable explanation regarding this discrepancy.Thank you for your help!

The Interface functionality is generally very nice, but I'm having a problem with formatting my charts, particularly pie charts. No matter how wide I make the chart, or where the legend is located (side/top/bottom), it cuts off the names of my categories. This makes printing or exporting impossible, since the reader won't be able to see which category the slice of the pie corresponds to which categorical value.Any suggestions on how to allow editing of the chart legend?

The latest iOS update for mobile interfaces appears to have removed the ability to 'check' items in the list view.Older mobile interface pages still work and allow boxes to be checked, but newly created interface pages will not work.I'm assuming this is a bug, given that this feature was enabled on release and announced to have this feature.

HI,I'm implementing a base for approx. 20 users and for security and confidentiality reasons I need to use a grid element in the interface to display each user's  records .While the grid is working correctly,  I have some formatting questions that I have been unable to figure out the answer to.1) while the user can copy/paste from the grid out to Excel , is there any way to copy out the column headings as well (as in a CSV Export from the data layer) ?2) As this base is replacing a spreadsheet, I'm displaying 16 consecutive columns of numeric values. Is it possible to format any of these columns to make it easier to read ? ie Bolding, changing background colour of a column etc ?3) Is there any way to hide the Base's Key field in the grid element ?Any help or suggestions appreciated .John 

Hi there,may I add a button in Interface Designer to allow my users to import CSVfiles?

Even though I believe this is an Airtable support question, I'm posting here because that's the option I have.I have a client with about 10 interface pages. On one of these pages, the graphs are in a constant loading state, or say "Internal error, please refresh". All other pages are loading graphs just fine.These graphs are from different tables within the base, so it's not just one table causing issues. I tried duplicating the charts and deleting the older ones, but that didn't help. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Is this a result of pricing tier changes? This client is on PRO (Teams).

I really don't want to recreate the pages but I am separating out the Exec graph pages from the Search space pages

Is anyone having any issues with the Pie Chart in an Interface? I keep getting an error asking me to refresh when I first load it into the interface. Refreshing doesn't work, deleting and re-adding doesn't help, it's really odd.

if you add an interface page with a gallery template it gives you options to set up filter elements tabs with different filter criteria for each tabbut if you start with a blank page and add a gallery element, those filter elements don't seem to be available. am I missing them or are filter elements not available in non-template interface pages?

Hi All,I'm working with an Interface displaying crew scheduling data and have hit a roadblock.Current Setup:I have a button in the Interface.When clicked, it triggers an Automation that identifies crew with new/updated schedules.It then emails these crew members a grid of their updated schedules.Desired Feature:I've been asked to make the emailing department-specific. In other words, when the button is pressed, emails should be sent only to crew members from selected departments.Challenge:I thought about adding filters to the Interface to narrow down which records are to be emailed. However, from my understanding, Airtable automations allow only one record to be passed via a button click. This would mean sending each record individually with every button press.An alternative I considered was creating an Interface form. The field is well created as a duration but impossible to sum it in the graphs. On the other hand, no problem in the Number element, the sum of the durations does this well. Could you help me on this problem where maybe because of BETA version this option is not developed yet? thank you for your comeback Cordially

I have interface charts with titles like "How would you rate the clarity and thoroughness of this course?" and responses like "Extremely clear and thorough" that are cut off when I view the interface (so they look like "How would you rate the c..." and "Extremely clear and thoro..."). Clicking and mousing over don't expand them. I can't see how many responses there are because the number of responses is at the end of the response, which is cut off. There's a huge amount of white space around the chart. How do I make use of that space to display the data?

Hi there!I am trying to find in the form interface to be able to submit multiple records with the same information in the easiest way possible.I have a form for production to submit GFX requests so we can better judge workload. Request is attached to a project, and in the form you can enter in information like a description of what the GFX should be, starting assets, etc. There could be multiple rounds with the same info so I want to be able to select a  project and add multiple dates/requests with the same information.I'm not sure if this could be done in one form with adding additional date options somehow or if there's a way to duplicate existing requests. Let me know if anyone has any ideas.Thanks!

Hi there, I guess the interfaces don’t work on Airtable mobile app yet. I cannot build an interface, ok, but I don’t even find the interfaces I made for my table… At least when I try to get to my new interface from my iPhone, I only can find a mention of it in notifications (but not on the workspaces overview), and it looks awful when I try to open it. And if I click on the link in my email from my iPhone - no way to get to the interface either… Or is it just a bug of my iPhone?.. Thanks! :winking_face:

I have created a Description and have associated it with a dashboard.  The dashboard is not displaying the Description Extension no matter where or what I try.  How can I get the extension to display on my dashboard?

Hi all, We are looking to find out if it is possible to create a table view that follows the pattern in the screenshot. We tried using lists but it only gave 1 layer of information, for the second layer there needs to be a new Table of contents, however, all our content is located in one master info sheet that is populated from a form. How can we achieve this view? Also maybe there is a way to create a personalized UI ?Thanks

Hello,Given that airtable cannot filter linked records, is there any way to access the limit record selection to a view from an interface such that the user can switch between views as needed? I have also put in a feature request to filter linked records but in the mean time maybe someone knows how to switch views from an interface? Thanks in advance! 

Has anyone found a way to display dashboard data on a mobile device or send charts and graphs in an email?

For charts in Interfaces, I don’t see the right formatting of Currency as I see in the data section. Is there a way to configure the currency format? It should be $50,000.00 but it is $50000.00. No Comma.
