Interface Designer

Hi, I have two tables with 50,000 records each (limit reached) and I want to get metrics from the two tables together.For example, I want to know how many people are in the "in progress" status of the two tables, therefore, it would have to be set at 100,000 records and count how many people are in that state.I know I could download all the data and calculate metrics in another software (like excel), but it would be great if I could do the whole thing in airtable 

I'm trying to figure out how to control what gets displayed on the records shown in the record selector within an Interface on the edit record or form creation page when you have a linked record field on them. Right now I'm only seeing the record name displayed, but there's space for more info. I'm just not sure how I get it to display more stuff. Thanks for any help anyone can provide!

I have two tables. Purchases and Expenses, which tracks all my expenses (using date, amount, description, value, etc) and Account Tracker, which, based on Purchases and Expenses, calculates all my current balance (for checkings accounts) and remaining balance (for credit accounts).I want to create a financial burndown chart, with the current/remaining balance for Y-axis and the expense date for the X-axis, but I have no idea how to do that. Can you help me?

I'm wondering if there's any way to apply templates not just to the creation of new records in an Interface, but also to the edit page of a record within the Interface? We have a good bit of conditional logic on the create a record form for a table with the Interface, which works really great, but then on the record edit page we have to display all the fields that might be needed, regardless of the logic that was selected when creating the record. Some fields don't apply to certain records and others do and it would be great to be able to display an edit page for records based on the template or logic conditions used when creating it so that only certain fields display based on the selections made in fields above it. I've copied a base over (and associated interface) - and whilst I can change the base colour, the icon stays the original colour.I have the option in the interface setting to change icon - but not change the colour. Am I missing something, or has that option been accidentally dropped off with an update?

Hi,I think I have an issue with filter modules in interface : - One of my filter is connect to an element but when I try to filter, there is no effect on the showing list- I've tried to add an other filter, but when I connect it to an element, the first one disconnect Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong ?Thank you !

Is it possible to limit the Condition filter On the interface to a view or specific records ie, not select archived records, ie Linked fields condition filter has any of = view in linked field table? 

Hi community,I don't know if i am missing smtgh or if it is impossible :When you use a calendar view, you can drag unscheduled records from the right pane into the calendar.I cannot achieve this within a interfaces' calendar.❓

We have a projects table and a plans table (similar to tasks), with start & end dates per task, for viewing on timeline view. I'd like to be able to give our users the feature of being able to duplicate a project plan from an existing project into a new project. I know this is doable via automation but I need some user interaction with it to make it happen.To make it useful, a user would need to be able to select the existing project from which they'd want to copy a plan, and then select the new project where they want to new plan records to be copied into - then run the automation.What is the best method for this?

Hi, With the new interface features, is it possible to share an interface with a lead/client for that person to add and edit a new record (with access to his/her own record only)? I want to use one or more calculators as lead generator tools, and also as tools for clients (who are not Airtable users themselves). Is this doable with the pro plan, without extra costs for each person using the interface, and without third party apps?

Love the new List View - really useful.BUT - is there a way of removing the "Level 1" text in interface designer?  See screenshot.  I just don't need it and it would be confusing to users.

 Having the ability to clear unpublished changes on the interfaces has been very helpful, and is  in line with many of other development environments I've used.  In case I'm not being clear, I'm referring to the little blue dot (see below) letting us know the page has not been published, where moving the mouse pointer to the right bring up options including the clear changes.  My concern is when you have enabled "Allow users to open Record Details" when they select a record in many different views.  This will open a Sidesheet (or full page view) of the record, which can be customized.  The problem is that there seems to be no way of clearing changes in this view, once you're made the change it's done, and if you go to the the main page and use the clear changes option it will not clear these changes.To further complicate t

Hi, is there any way to display on the interface a result from a formula?I am trying to track how many contracts we have signed for the month and year against the goal for the month and year and then display the percentage of goals complete and the remaining amount to the goal.For example, we have 52 contracts signed so far this month, but the goal is 360 for the whole year. How do I show the percentage of goal complete and the remaining contracts we need?Is there any way to display that on the interface?Thanks!Miguel

The Timeline view in the base has great resource utilization functionality that isn't yet available in the interfaces. I'm wondering if there's a good solution for using a chart to demonstrate utilization over time without having to go into the core base.Full ContextMy company uses Airtable as our primary work management system - we assign employees to tasks, which have estimated times to complete (as we bill our clients hourly for work). I'd like for our operations team to be able to easily see how much work an employee has day-to-day within a given time frame. In our base, tasks have a start and end date. I can use a WORKDAY_DIFF() formula to return the number of days a task is scheduled to take, and then use a simple division of the overall time value by that number to get the  hours per day the task takes. The intention here is to roughly estimate how much work the employee has to do (i.e. the sum total of work assigned shouldn't exceed 8hrs a

Trying to get get a common filter so users can modify dates or workflow status  and it will automatically changes the dates. I would like the users be able to add workflow status and/or modify the date range of the graphs and then update the data. How can I do this? Each chart is already connected to the filter element     

Hello, does anyone know if it is possible to design an interface based on a Record Picker where there is a field that is only visible if a precondition is given in another field?For example:I create a new entry where I relate that entry to a value in another table. Then I look at the value of a Lookup field and if the value is "xx" the the field is visible in that interface, and if it is not "xx" this field is invisible.Maybe there is no solution for this... Hi all, I have a record picker in an interface. I need it to automatically do certain actions taking the name or ID from the record I click on the list. Does anyone know if there is a way of retrieving the identifier of the record being clicked? Does some trigger type detect that a record in the picker was selected? I failed to find something searching through support articles. Maybe someone can confirm whether such a feature was actually implemented in interfaces, or can suggest some smart trick. Thank you.

I used a calculation to track the week (in a cal year) that a data point was input into my base so I can track my sales team meeting their weekly quota.  When I charted this in the dashboard, multiple weeks (16, 17, 17, 18, 18, etc.) showed up in the chart (pic 1).  If I spread out this report in the db, even more weeks show up (pic 2)

I am creating an interface for my team. I want to allow them to choose between a gallery and a grid to view the information. However, the "Allow users to switch visualizations" toggle is not there, and I can't seem to find a setting that would have made it disappear. Is this a bug or is there some other reason why the toggle option is not available?

Pretty new to AirTable.  Trying to build simple base to keep track of group members.I have a Members table, a Groups table and a Group Members table. This last is a join table with a column for Group, a column for Member and other columns that aren't related to this issue. The Group Members table also has a Name column which is the primary key.  It is a formula which is basically Group Name & "-" & Member Name.I'm building an interface to show the Groups table. It has a list of groups that I can pick from, and the proper record shows in the interface when I do this.I added a grid which is bound to the Group Members table. It shows the proper fields, but is not being filtered by the particular group I have showing in this interface.  I expect it to only show the group members associated with this group.  The filtering options are good, but require a hard-coded filter.  Instead of

I don't know if this is intentional, but I can't imagine it would be, as every form can be modified in interfaces. Hitting the + button on a Kanban stacking field opens up a form that can't be customized.Only the fields that show on the record as they appear in the Kanban stacking field itself show up on the 'add a new record' form.Is anyone else experiencing this? It makes the Kanban field almost entirely unusable, especially for users who don't quite understand what's going on.Or am I just doing something wrong?

In the interface designer is there a way to calculate the average number of entries added per week?We enter an intake date on the the data page for each new entry.
