This thread made me realize that we should probably have an option to PREVENT collaborators (particularly read-only collaborators) from being able to easily duplicate an entire base.When we share read-only links to bases or views, we have that option that we can uncheck that says: “Allow viewers to copy the data in this base” or “Allow viewers to copy data out of this view”.But it would be nice if we had that same feature for collaborators.

List views within interfaces, and List page layouts do not support/show the sum of values of a given field (e.g. number, currency, etc). However, this is actually supported for grid views. -see comparison in image below.Even if something similar can be achieved using different workarounds as mentioned by @ScottWorld and @ATSolutionist in this other post submitted by  @Scott_Brasted, a native out of the box solution seems completely needed. Mike, Consultant @ Automatic Nation

As I see the pivot table extension right now, you can only have 1 field as the column. I currently am tracking workable hours in a month versus the number of actual hours someone worked to determine comp time. It would be beneficial if I could add multiple columns (hours worked, comp time, and month) against the row of resource.  

Overview: We cannot create new Linked records when submitting a form. There is only the ability to create a new Linked record after the initial form is submitted (and record created). This is not conducive to some workflows, where it would be very helpful to create a linked record during the initial record creation process.Feature Request: Allow users to directly create linked records while they are in the process of submitting the initial Form/record in Interfaces.Current Workarounds: Provide a link on the initial Form for a user to open up another form to create the linked record prior to them completing the initial form.Create additional fields in the table and then use automations to automatically create linked records in the background when those are selected. 

I am working on a form where the user will need to enter several expenses and then submit a total request amount based on those expenses. It would be so helpful if the expense fields that the user enters could be automatically totaled on the form in a way the user can see. I have a formula field doing that calculation in the table, but can't pull that field into the form.I imagine there are many other useful applications for a non-editable formula field appearing in a form as well. It's strange that this is not already an option, since a non-editable long text field is already an available option.

I'd like to suggest that you add the ability to wrap text in the Interface List element, the same way it gets wrapped in the Grid element. I want to use the List element because it's more visually appealing than the Grid, but it's more challenging to see all the information at once, especially for fields where I'm listing multiple linked records. 

What is the proposed idea/solution?It would be great to have the option to render a map as a component of Interfaces, similar to the Map extension on the case.How does it solve the user's problems?It's a really graphic way to visualize location-based data 

I have a Blank Page interface that's a Filter element + Calendar view that's meant to show how one type of resource is used by four different teams. The Filter element under Blank Page is really nice, since I can restrict to Team > Is > {pick a team}, and some filter on Team will always be applied. However, if someone viewing the calendar wanted to, they could change the operator to "Is not empty" and get around the filter settings. I need the calendar to only show one team at a time, because the resource usage display is unhelpful otherwise (plus some related social/work culture reasons that a "one team at a time"-specific filter would solve). Additionally, while there are 20+ teams that use this resource, only four of them are actually relevant for this calendar, so restricting the list of options of pickable teams would be ideal.Can we get custom restrictions on the Filter Element in blank page, so that we can limit which operators and options are available to the end user?

As we have view descriptions to identify the purpose of a view, it would be very helpful to implement the same feature in the forms list.In our case we have several forms for different purposes that are each tied to a number of automations. For the users editing the forms it's currently difficult to navigate the forms list and be sure you are editing the correct form as there is no description and/or internal name of it to indicate the purpose.

If this exists and I'm not aware of it, apologies in advance.When looping through data from a view in an automation, I execute a script inside the "Repeat for each..." sometimes I get some bad data fed in and it causes the whole automation to fail.  I'm frequently adjusting the script to account for the data, and making steps to improve the data coming in, however it would be nice if I had the option for it to continue on ("Ignore error") and let me know after the fact so the other 99% of the data that was good can continue to process and I can resolve the data issue later.Alternatively, if there was the ability to execute a different step if there is an error, that would be even more grand.Thanks.

What is the proposed idea/solution?We need the ability to make more robust charts in interfaces. How about bringing something like the vegalite extension to interfaces? What is the proposed idea/solution?Today the only way to add buffers between dependent project tasks (i.e. tasks where one task is a predecessor to the other) is to view the project in timeline view. You have to click on the dependency and manually set the buffer. Many of my projects depending on adding a delay to the start of a dependent task after its predecessor is completed and having to hand add buffers in timeline view to support this is not sustainable. How does this solve the user problems?This allows to a scalable approach to project creations via record templates where users need to add a delay between the completion of one task and the start of the next task dependent task (i.e. this task has a predecessor defined) without doing a ton of manual work in timeline views.  

To whom it may concern,An enhancement suggestion from Kalypso: Type and Buffer, currently only available to update in Timeline view, should be part of the Date Dependencies required fields and thus available for update in other views and/or with Automations. Expected Benefits: Ability to configure all elements of date dependencies in any viewEnable ability to use Type and Buffer fields as Automation triggers or targets of automation updatesPlease consider adding this capability. Regards,Jason Knighten

I tend to use the Tab filters a lot for ease of jumping between project types & clients and it would be great if I didn't have to recreate my preferred list of tabs each time / duplicate the viewThanks!

I’m a UX Designer at Sling TV. I’m currently using Airtable to build out a cross platform design system. I normally use a combination of Sketch and Invision for this but both are horrible when it comes to organizing information. So far Airtable does an awesome job of categorizing the design ecosystem. What Airtable doesnt do at the moment is handle images well enough to replace my other tools. The below attachment is a cross platform design visualization I call a “Spread”. I provide our engineering and business stakeholder teams with these visuals digitally and as large output prints. I would like to use the page builder to generate these dynamically instead of building them manually in Sketch. I need the following additional Airtable Page Builder features before I can do this: Edit page background color Set image alignment (top, left, bottom, right) Allow viewing the image at 100% of its original size Do you guys have this functionality on the roadmap? I’d love to be able to define a default for LONG TEXT type fields so that I can spell out a template for my sales team to fill out prep sheets. Just a bunch of headings with colons. I am sure that I could automate this with a RECORD CREATED automation and populate the field if empty, but seems like there should be a defaults option for that field type.

It would be great to be able to select mulitple objects in the Page designer block. I’ve just created a layout that needs everything shifting by a few nudges. I’m currently moving things one by one. Any work arounds?

What is the proposed idea/solution?Incorporating multi-select into the Page Designer extension so that multiple elements can be selected and moved simultaneously. How does this solve the user problems?Our team does a lot of work with the Page Designer extension to build printable schedules for events that we run. In doing so, we've noticed that we waste a lot of time moving individual elements one-by-one to restructure the page layout. I understand that editing multiple elements at once wouldn't be feasible for obvious reasons, but the ability to simply move a few text boxes at the same time feels like a no-brainer (and, selfishly, would save my team and me a lot of time).

When possible, could italicized text be made available as an option in the Page Designer block font styles? Italics are a very nice way to draw attention and differentiate content, particularly in printed material. Our company uses italics in our printed menus and I’d like to convert us over to using Airtable for those. Italics are supported by most Google Fonts but unfortunately there is no option in Page Designer font areas to take advantage of them. Here are the Roboto fonts for example: Probably goes without saying, but Page Designer is amazing! Thank you!

i would like to be able to resize columns in a batch. this would be more broad than just auto-sizing (Auto column resizing by double clicking border b/w column headers)select-all and resize one column = all columns resize to matchdouble-click column = resize to fit content (or title)select-all and set width = all columns resize to specified sizeetc.

It would be extremely helpful to be able to color code the table. I’m not necessarily looking for color to be based on a condition (hence a different thread). Example Case:There are five tables within an airbase. Two of those tables are focused on action: projects and tasks. Three are focused on people: the individuals themselves, the vendors they work for and their expertise. The tab for the two tables focused on action could be one color and the three tables focused on people are another.

It’d be helpful to be able to set a default value for new linked relational fields so that the field gets auto-filled as the records are created. This could probably be done with automations, but I noticed that you could set default values elsewhere, which is helpful, so this would be a convenient addition to that.

Similar to UPPER( ) and LOWER( ), PROPER( ) would take a text string as an argument, and convert it to “Proper Case”, where the first letter of every work is upper-case, and subsequent letters in the word are lower-case. EXAMPLE: PROPER ( “1232 DEER VALLLEY AVE” ) would return: 1232 Deer Valley Ave USE CASE: I use AirTable in my real-estate business, where I hire virtual-assistants to enter public property data scraped from county websites (which often stores data in upper-case). That address data is used to for mail-merge to marketing letters, but unless I take abother step to convert the data to Capital case, the merged data appears ALL UPPERCASE, which makes the letter seem auto-generated. To solve this, my workflow includes an export from AirTable out to a .csv file, then into Excel where I run a macro that converts to Proper Case, and then is imported back into AirTable, then out to our document merge partner (WebMerge). And I know, there is @Bill.French’s wonderful script - Field Tweaker - that allows you to reformat a field as either UPPER, LOWER, or TITLE CASE. I’d like to request that when a number or currency field is selected in a public Form on a mobile device, the selection trigger the launching of the native number keypad, rather than the text keyboard. These fields only allow numeric input, so it would be much more convenient, on a mobile device, if I did not have to tap the 123 button (iOS) to switch to the number keyboard before entering data. Currently, number and currency fields are implemented as <input type="text">. If they were implemented as <input type="number">, I’m pretty sure they would trigger the keyboard to launch as the number keyboard by default. I’m sure there is some technical implementation reason why Airtable chose to implement them as text fields, but I’d still like to put this out there as a feature request, for the sake of user-convenience… Airtable, if you can figure out how to make it work with semantic number fields, it would be kind of nice :slightly_smiling_face:
