I see this option "Copy field URL" in the dropdown menu when right-clicking on a field header:I am intrigued by it and what it is useful for. I cant find mention of it in the docs, other than a screenshot that contains it but doesn't explain why: https://support.airtable.com/docs/field-type-overviewAnyone have any idea what it is used for? If I paste it into a blank tab it does load the base then highlight the appropriate field, but that seems like a bit of a lonely specialised use-case for a whole menu item...

This forum board is a total train wreck. I hate to come here now.I submitted a couple of times for last few years a request to Airtable for adding a field search everywhere on the mobile application (iOS, Android etc), this is badly needed. I have 100s of fields and it is impossible to scroll through the list of fields to select from the list of fields, the one field I want to pick, e.g. as filter, or show them in view, or sort by etc. anywhere on the mobile app when I need to pick from the list of my fields.So far nothing happened much. Anybody facing the same situation as a mobile app user?

I am creating a table to record games and scores from foosball games with some friends. I am trying to calculate a few different stats and having trouble or always feel like I am doing it the hard way. Also curious what else could be done with the data available. Anyone have some tips/inspiration? I was going to share the table but I am not able to post a link. It basically includes all games, scores for each side, winner/loser, date. Interested in calculating stuff like avg. score differential, head-to-head matchups, longest win-streak, and whatever else. Just having fun with it and learning Airtable. The right answer to this could also be Airtable isn’t the best for this.

I have several rollup fields that search a table ('Transactions') for all accepted contract values for each given project via sum(values). For some reason, the rollups have stopped working and no longer sum up any new records added to the Transactions table. I am able to add and change previously working records, but any new records are not updating. Any assistance would be great.

Hello! I have a small tutoring company and I use Airtable to manage my students. In my base, I have a main overview table with all my student’s information and a separate table for each student where I track individual progress. On these individual progress tables, each cell is a checkbox where I can click once a student has completed a given task. Is there a way to add a progress bar (represented by a percentage or fraction) into my overview table that updates as more checkboxes are clicked on the individual progress tables? I want to be able to have a big picture view of each students progress.

Hello, I am new to Airtable. I bought access to a list of data a few months ago. That's how I discovered Airtable, since this list is on Airtable.Today I realized that I see all the customers who have also purchased these lists in the share list. I'm a little surprised that it's not hidden. I could get all the customers to make them an offer myself actually and I don't like having my address visible like that either. I don't find this system very confidential. Is it possible to hide the accesses we give to our different collaborators/customers?ThanksSophie

I have two tables. The first table (Articles) records each have fields that include “Main Point 1”, “Main Point 2” and “Main Point 3”. . … The second table (Article related items) links to the first with a lookup of the various records. I need to create a multi (or single) select field that allows users to choose the field name “Main Point 1” or “Main Point 2” or “Main Point 3” (from table 1) and populate a single cell in the table 2 record with the information from whichever fields were chosen in the dropdown. There can be several records in the second table for each record in the first. Articles (Table 1) Article Related Items (Table 2) Is there a way to do this. I feel like I have come across this solution before, but cannot find it despite spending a lot of time searching. Thank you.

We have an interface built for our finance team to keep track of invoices and which purchase orders they're paid on. (separate tables for invoices and POs). Today one of our team members asked me for help un-linking a PO from an invoice, in order to replace it with a corrected PO record. That's when we discovered that when he hovers over the PO card on the invoice record, he doesn't get the little grey "X" button to unlink the records like I do. We are both editors with full access to the base, and I had him try it on multiple browsers. Any ideas what I'm missing here? Thanks!

Hey y'all,So, I have this big base of about 1300 records that we've made accessible to the public designed as a marketing resource. Lately, people have been "requesting accesss", which is great in the sense that they want access to the data, but not what it was designed for. I was wondering if there was some way to remove people's ability to request such. Kind of a shot in the dark, but thought I'd ask. Any and all help is mega appreciated. 🙂  Thanks so much, Z

Hi! We are attempting to automate some data from a Looker (Look) into an Airtable on a periodic basis (monthly). We've enabled this in Looker and connected our API key in Looker as well. We paste in the appropriate Base and Table id's and we also created the 1:1 column headers. Even for testing we limited the row count to 100. But for some reason, we keep trying but the data never shows up in the Airtable. Anyone had similar issues? Feels like its something small I just can't see breaking it but not sure.

Hi there, I created a button that runs a script to download an attachment from an external API. This works 100%, but it opens the Extensions pane, when the button is clicked. Is it possible to NOT open the extensions pane when the button is clicked to download and attach the document to the record?  

Hi all,we at Farm to Feed have just set up our base which is linked to other software solutions via APIs to construct an automated supplychain. For the past 1.5years we have been using excel for our operations and all our data sits in a few workbooks. I am now looking for someone who can migrate our data from these excel workbooks to our airtable base, taking note that our base includes quite a lot of linked records which don't easily are copied correctly from excel. Hi, Does anyone know if it is possible to import a list of hyperlink URLs from spreadsheet to airtable? I know CSV files can be imported. If you copy and past links directly from Excel file to import, then the hyperlinks will be displayed as text rather than hyperlink type in airtable. Thank you in advance.

Is this possible? We would like to know the ‘aging’ of our status field. Meaning, how long has a record been sitting in the current status. I’ve included a screenshot (VIEW HERE) of our base pointing to the Status field and the ‘Aging’ field we want to populate with this data. We already have a last modified date but that, as you all know, is for ANY change made to a record. We only want ‘Aging’ to track the Status field. Thank you!

I created a number field for magazine circulation sizes, the first one being 900,000. I entered 900,000 and it turned into 900000. It’s pretty standard for numbers that are higher than three digits to use a comma after every third digit from right to left. So how do I make that happen in AirTable?

Hey there, Assume a contact management base where we have a Contacts Table and a Companies table. The Companies table has a Company Contacts linked record field that lists all contacts in that company. When syncing both tables to another base, the Company Contacts linked record in the target base is displayed as a text field, not a linked record field and looses the linking between records. Any plans for airtable to maintain the connection between linked records when both tables are synced to the same base? When trying to recreate the link using a new linked record field and a script, I found out that the getCellValue method only returns the linked record name, and does not return the linked record id. Any plans for the airtable scripts and blocks apis to return the record IDs of synced linked records, not only text? I am trying to create a table for my microgreen growing log. I would like to have a function that when I create a new record and fill in the crop name of that record, the corresponding harvest days will be autofilled in another field. But I don't want to use formula as the field type of harvest days as I might have to adjust the harvest days in some situation.

For various reasons, I sometimes need to have long text fields that contain spaces with no other characters. I've been doing this for over a year without any issues. But in the past 2 weeks, it seems like Airtable has stopped recognizing these "space only" strings in long text fields. If I enter any number of spaces or non-breaking spaces into a long text field with no other text, Airtable just deletes it when I leave the field.Here's an example from an older table where it worked (the "length" fields are just len(fieldName) so you can see that it's there):But this is what I'm getting now:I would greatly appreciate any ideas or suggestions!Thanks,Dorothy

Hello!I am looking to make a form that allows my salesperson to specify the amount of product and price for a customer from linked tables.  I have different tables in my base specifying what we have in stock, our customers, and the serial numbers to the products.  What I'm looking to do is create a product list question in forms where the salesperson can specify the number of that particular product and the price sold to that customer.  Though I've looked at Jotform and other form submissions, it doesn't have the exact capabilities I'm looking for.  Is there a way to do this in the Airtable forms?  Is there another solution besides making my salespeople write it out in a paragraph?  Help!  @Developers Thanks! Hello,I have a Base with a table called Controls (about 150 rows) and Assessments(10 rows).  I've got another table called Responses that links to both Controls and Assessments so that for every Assessment Record I get a copy of all 150 Control rows in Responses (so I can answer other columns uniquely for that assessment).  This all works great. The problem comes in that I'd now like to use the records in Responses for task management using Kan Ban boards or Ghant charts.  This works wonderfully for the records that are in already in Responses (Linked).  BUT, I'd like to ALSO be able to add some ad hoc Tasks that are not tied to records in controls.  These records could be different for every Assessment. I don't see a way that I can do this?  Am I missing something?

Hello everyoneI am looking for some reassurance on how to manage the risks associated with growing number of “Creators” in my base.There would be a operational and financial cost if a key field, table or base was deleted by accident (or by a disgruntled employee).“Interactive complexity” (multiple components interacting together e.g. here the links between fields/tables in the schema) and “tight coupling” (how close the dependencies are linked and the period of recovery e.g. filters are broken immediately when a field is deleted) means that there will inevitably be an accident over some period of time.We manage this risk by having highly centralised control of who can be a Creator (only me currently).When recovering in instances where a field is deleted, the options offered by Airtable don’t really help us:Snapshots would only allow returning to an older version but in an entirely new base (thereby not recovering the original base and it’s links to other integrations).Crtl z / back / A
