Is this possible? We would like to know the ‘aging’ of our status field. Meaning, how long has a record been sitting in the current status. I’ve included a screenshot (VIEW HERE) of our base pointing to the Status field and the ‘Aging’ field we want to populate with this data. We already have a last modified date but that, as you all know, is for ANY change made to a record. We only want ‘Aging’ to track the Status field. Thank you!
I created a number field for magazine circulation sizes, the first one being 900,000. I entered 900,000 and it turned into 900000. It’s pretty standard for numbers that are higher than three digits to use a comma after every third digit from right to left. So how do I make that happen in AirTable?
I was changing login email and password then while trying to re-login I'mlocked out of both old and new credentials. Please assist as I can't access my records anymore!

Hey there, Assume a contact management base where we have a Contacts Table and a Companies table. The Companies table has a Company Contacts linked record field that lists all contacts in that company. When syncing both tables to another base, the Company Contacts linked record in the target base is displayed as a text field, not a linked record field and looses the linking between records. Any plans for airtable to maintain the connection between linked records when both tables are synced to the same base? When trying to recreate the link using a new linked record field and a script, I found out that the getCellValue method only returns the linked record name, and does not return the linked record id. Any plans for the airtable scripts and blocks apis to return the record IDs of synced linked records, not only text? My workaround, for now, will be to: Add to both source tables a formula field that return the RECORD_ID(). Add a lookup field to the Companies table that displays the
I am trying to create a table for my microgreen growing log. I would like to have a function that when I create a new record and fill in the crop name of that record, the corresponding harvest days will be autofilled in another field. But I don't want to use formula as the field type of harvest days as I might have to adjust the harvest days in some situation.
For various reasons, I sometimes need to have long text fields that contain spaces with no other characters. I've been doing this for over a year without any issues. But in the past 2 weeks, it seems like Airtable has stopped recognizing these "space only" strings in long text fields. If I enter any number of spaces or non-breaking spaces into a long text field with no other text, Airtable just deletes it when I leave the field. Here's an example from an older table where it worked (the "length" fields are just len(fieldName) so you can see that it's there):But this is what I'm getting now:I would greatly appreciate any ideas or suggestions! Thanks,Dorothy
Hello!I am looking to make a form that allows my salesperson to specify the amount of product and price for a customer from linked tables. I have different tables in my base specifying what we have in stock, our customers, and the serial numbers to the products. What I'm looking to do is create a product list question in forms where the salesperson can specify the number of that particular product and the price sold to that customer. Though I've looked at Jotform and other form submissions, it doesn't have the exact capabilities I'm looking for. Is there a way to do this in the Airtable forms? Is there another solution besides making my salespeople write it out in a paragraph? Help! @Developers Thanks! Hope you're having a great day! 🙂
Hello,I have a Base with a table called Controls (about 150 rows) and Assessments(10 rows). I've got another table called Responses that links to both Controls and Assessments so that for every Assessment Record I get a copy of all 150 Control rows in Responses (so I can answer other columns uniquely for that assessment). This all works great. The problem comes in that I'd now like to use the records in Responses for task management using Kan Ban boards or Ghant charts. This works wonderfully for the records that are in already in Responses (Linked). BUT, I'd like to ALSO be able to add some ad hoc Tasks that are not tied to records in controls. These records could be different for every Assessment. I don't see a way that I can do this? Am I missing something?
Hello everyoneI am looking for some reassurance on how to manage the risks associated with growing number of “Creators” in my base. There would be a operational and financial cost if a key field, table or base was deleted by accident (or by a disgruntled employee).“Interactive complexity” (multiple components interacting together e.g. here the links between fields/tables in the schema) and “tight coupling” (how close the dependencies are linked and the period of recovery e.g. filters are broken immediately when a field is deleted) means that there will inevitably be an accident over some period of time.We manage this risk by having highly centralised control of who can be a Creator (only me currently). When recovering in instances where a field is deleted, the options offered by Airtable don’t really help us:Snapshots would only allow returning to an older version but in an entirely new base (thereby not recovering the original base and it’s links to other integrations).Crtl z / back / A
I have a base I use for inventory tracking that refuses to open on my iPad. It used to work with some difficulty, but now selecting that base force quits the app after a brief load time. Has anyone seen this before/found a fix? I reached out to support a week ago and haven't heard back. I bought the iPad with the intent to take airtable with me, but it's not going as planned.
HI! I created a list of questions, and used the flashcard app to randomly select a question. This part works great. Is it possible to share this with my students? If so, how?
When I’m selecting from a list of options, I type the first few letters and smack the return key. More often than I’d like, I mistype a character or two and end up creating a new option in the list. How can I stop that? Thank you, friends.
Hi There, I’ve done an export from our website and want to import into Airtable. Most of the fields are fine but there is one field that I’d like to import as a Multi Select field but having issues. A sample of the (anonymised) data looks like: Apple~Chicken, Beef & Lamb~Rice~Pasta~Banana Peach~Pear Crisps, Chocolate and Sweets~Smoothie~Pineapple Cheddar & Stilton~Pancakes Pancakes~Apple~Peach Crisps, Chocolate and Sweets~Pasta For the above records I’d like them to appear as: There are around 50 variables for the multi select field and the data itself is around 10,000 records so want to get the import right! And whilst we are looking at the API for the future, in the short term we will have to do multiple imports to keep the data up to date. Advice welcome! Thank you.
Hiiii all, I’m using Airtable for my to lo list (or I’m trying to). I’ve got a number of projects that I’m working on, all with separate labels/kanban stacks. I’ve got what I thought would be an easy problem to solve, but I can’t figure it out. I’ve got a checkbox field for completed tasks and when I click that, I’d like the item to be moved to the ‘done’ stack (and assigned the ‘done’ label). For the moment I’m doing the compromised workaround of using a filtered view, which takes out anything that has a ticked checkbox, but this isn’t ideal. Is there any way of moving a record to a different kanban stack by ticking a checkbox?
Hi everybody,Im facing a pb with airtable for my business regarding Dates.Im selling cars, and each cars sold has a "sell date" which is a calendar column day - values monitored in Table 1In another table, Table 2, I have my monthly and quarterly objectives of sales. My main objective is to handle our performance, so automatically have an idea of a total monthly margin and quarterly generated margin, and where it stands vs Objectives. For this, ideally, I should have a "Month" column in Table 2 with a sum roll up that would automatically update if a new car with its selling date is created in Table 1.Example : I sell a car for 30k€ the 23d of january, i create the record in Table 1, and Table 2 would automatically update with January 2023, Q1 2023 and FY 2023 by +30k€. And hence all my interfaces of performance monitoring 🙂
Hey,Airtable upgraded this community forums, but I do not find any navigation now. Is it a plain, long list of posts?!I really loved the product update posts, but they seem to be gone, or hard to find. Am I missing something?
Hi I've been working a script that is supposed to be finding and merging duplicate records but while it can find and delete the duplicates it is not actually updating them and I don't know why. The console does not give me any error messages. If anyone can help figure that out it would be much appreciated. The code is looking for duplicates in a table named "Script Testing" and is looking for duplicates in the "Name" column. The code is as follows let processedRecords = [];// Get the table objectlet table = base.getTable('Script Testing');// Get all records from the tablelet queryResult = await table.selectRecordsAsync({ view: 'Grid view', sort: [{field: 'Name', direction: 'asc'}],});let records = queryResult.records;// Loop through all recordsfor (let i

Hello, I’ve created a base by importing two separate CSV files as tables. Each table contains a list of email addresses. I’d like to easily be able to find email address that are in both tables. How do I go about that? Thanks! (new to Airtable)
Hello guys!I'm using Airtable for a while in a few Webflow sites I've developed, and I'm looking to create a bit more advanced function now, hopefully you guys can help me.Basically I want that when a user enters in a specific page of my website I want to make a consult to my Airtable and check if a certain item contains a certain value on a certain column. And with that info, make a decision to what to do or not to do.I'm wondering what kind of code I have to use to make this consult with JS on my Webflow site.
Hi all, I am currently both 1) working on a (real world) complex business plan under excel and 2) discovering Airtable. In my discovery of Airtable I was hoping to find a template for business plans (financial projections) but was surprised not to find any. Does it mean Airtable is not an efficient tool to handle business plans? Kind regards, Antoine.
Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong thread. New to airtable and would appreciate help on:- How to view/sort by frequency (i.e. Field A has single-lined text that varies for each record, i.e. GreenMarbles)- I'd like to view/sort it to look something like this:GreenMarbles 14BlueMarbles 12RedMarbles 3- is there a formula/rollup/automation/etc that can count frequency of a word in Column A and show the frequency sum for each word somewhere (another field, table footer etc doesnt matter as long as it' in the same view/page). Preferably free, but not required.- and then how do I sort records by highest to lowest word frequency in Column A? Many thanks!
I’m experiencing an issue when importing a CSV file using the CSV import block. The default behavior is that if one of the matched fields is blank on the CSV but filled-in on Airtable, the importing will remove the filled-in value and replace it with a blank. I’m sure there cases where this behavior makes sense, but in all cases where I’ve used the import feature my CSV data is actually patchier than Airtable. For example, I often have a field that is filled-in in some cases, but not in others. I want to incorporate the CSV data into Airtable, without removing any of the existing Airtable data. Is this possible?
I’m trying to create a table that houses all the information about the software subscriptions that I have. Monthly Cost Renewal Period (Monthly, Yearly, etc) Number of User/Licenses Next Renewal Date Renewal Reminders I’m running into trouble with Next Renewal Date and reminders. I’ve put in the start date of the subscription, which I use in a formula along with the period to calculate the first renewal date. But I want to calculate the next referral date in the future and have it update each time that referral date passes. How can I achieve this? Formula: DATEADD({Start Date},{Period (Months)},‘months’)
