Hello, I’m going to try to simplify my issue as much as possible. Hopefully it will be clear enough. I have 2 bases : Operations & Purchases. In Opérations I have a table with all my Orders. In Purchases I have a table with all my Suppliers. The Suppliers table is sync to the Operation base, and then my Orders’s records are link to the Suppliers still in my Operation base. When I create a new Order I add the related Suppliers. So on my Suppliers table in the Operation base I have for each supplier the listing of all the related orders as linked records. Now I would like to have this same listing back in the Suppliers table, but in the Purchases base. And not as text field, but as linked records as well. Is it possible ? Thank you in advance

Can I create grids based off a parent grid, that only show certain rows based on information in a field? I.e. if I have a parent grid with a dropdown box in one cell with YES or NO options, can I make a new grid that only populates rows with that one cell marked as YES?

I have an address field in my table that I would like to have go live while using my mobile device to help me quickly find an address. Some Examples: My Phone Number field allows me to text or call directly from that field. My Link field allows me to invoke my browser or FB or IG app directly from that field. My Email field allows me in invoke my default mail program and compose. I would like my “address” field to invoke my apple maps app on my phone and show me the location! I understand my address field is simply a long text field used in this special way, but how about AT programming an address field to work in this fashion!? Too much? Any ideas? Anyone else having an issue with their shared calendar views? I’ve had a subscription to a calendar view in Fantastical for years that has worked fine, but it stopped functioning about two days ago. Tried deleting and re-adding it to Fantastical, but it says the calendar data isn’t value. Tried in MacOS Calendar too, and same error.

Hi, I want to create a field that will change based on the results of a single select field. For example, my single select options are [1, 2, 3, 4]. In another field I want to report options [A, B, C, D]. I want to choose A if the next column is 1, B if the single select option is 2, C if the single select option is 3, etc. Thanks!

Hi, I’m using AirTable with my clients. I created a base for each clients. One view in this base is a kind of “workspace”, shared with my client. I wanna share with him this view, allowing him to edit things, upload and download files, write questions if he needs help. How can I do this ? I tried to share the view but there’s no “editing” option : it is possible ? OR do I need to create a specific base as a workspace to share it with Editor functions ? Hi Community, I would like to know if a status change in a chart can trigger an email automation flow in another program like Klaviyo? Basically, if we generate leads from a fair and add them to our airtable and move their status to “email recipient”, can a specific email flow “fair visitors” be started? I am new to Airtable and was unable to solve my question via YT-videos, so I´m hoping that you guys can help me out. Thanks!!

Hello, I’m a brand new Airtable user, using it for our grantee database for our nonprofit. I was hoping to use an embedded view to list the grantees on our website- and save the monthly fee I’m paying for another no-code app to do currently (pulling from a Google Sheet), AND eliminate the need to maintain the list in 2 different places. Hello everyone, I’m trying to visualise data that I have within my base in a bar chart. It’s to simply compare my sales forecast vs sales target on a monthly basis. So I’d like a simple bar chart that has for example; a bar for November Revenue next to a bar depicting the November Target. I’d then like to have this for every month of the year within the same graph. I have columns for both [Month] Revenue and [Month] Target but I can’t figure out how to show the two side by side using the Chart extension. Any help would be much appreciated! Many thanks

Hey, Automatically, orders from my website are entered into a table. I have to assign one worker each time to the order’s row in a certain order (round robin). I haven’t found a suitable method online and would appreciate any suggestions you may have. Please note that I am not well versed in programming and don’t have much experience with Airtable. Hi all, I want to use Zapier to export my table to Campaign Monitor but I only need the first name from my primary field which includes the person’s full name (first_name last_name). Any ideas how I can accomplish this in the table or via Zapier? I don’t mind creating a first name field and hiding it.

Unable to synch calendar events on to my iCalendar.

Editing this because I thought it was a BusyCal issue, but turns out I can’t even sync to iCal either. For ages now, I have been able to publish my AT calendar to BusyCal using Share View → Sync to External Calendar, and then subscribing to a new calendar and pasting in the AT calendar link. Now, I get a " iCal data invalid or failed be parse" error message. The dev at BC says that the calendar link I sent him “is returning a HTML page (according to the logs) with a lot of Javascript. It’s not returning a valid .ics file. So I don’t know why it’s not working - best to email airtable and ask why it won’t work.” iCal is returning an error that the share link from AT is not valid. Is there anything that I can do on the AT side to make this work again? Thank you, Rae

Hi, I would like to know if there is a better way that the system automatically remembers the field mapping of the CSV files we import. What happens is that multiple users used the same table in importing a CSV file so whenever this person resets or changes the field mapping, the next person who uses it next would manually turn on and off the field mappings depending on the file being used because the field mapping of the last user is what appears in the system. It is taking much of our time to turn it on and off. Thank you and appreciate your receiving a solution to my question.

Hi, A few of us are trying out AT Pro before jumping into Enterprise. I have a use case in that each department needs its workspace, however, there is some info from each that needs to go into one base to bring data/workload/plans together from multiple teams. So can I sync a view from a base in my workspace on pro to someone else who has pro on their workspace without paying for another licence?

Hi, I’d like to send emails to people in my list with for example their own name in it. Is that possible to do in Airtable? Something like - Dear [FullName], … that turns into Dear Sarah,… in one mail and Dear Carl,… in the other based in the info in my databaze. Thanks for any help!

I’ve read a lot of support articles, all seem overly complicated for what I’m trying to do: I have a simple table, one of the fields is CreatedTime, another is a checkbox called Used. New records are constantly being added to the DB, at intermittent intervals. At other intermittent intervals (slower pace than the above), a trigger will cause Used to get checked. At which point, what I’m trying to do is have the “Oldest entry that is not Used” be visible in a view. Seems like this should be dead simple, but I am stymied. Help?

I have a table of “Donors” and a table of “Donations.” I’ve linked the Donors to the Donations and I’m trying to figure out how to change what I see when I open the linked Donor record from the Donations table. I have dozens of fields in both tables, so is there a way to adjust which fields are shown and which fields are hidden when viewing a linked record? Thanks, Dave

hi all, Interface designer is great but one limitation that I wish it didn’t have is that to use an interface, one must be logged in. I testes softr a bit, and while it was close it doesn’t seem to have an option for a true tight grid like view that is in airtable. Does anyone know of a good way to try and make a grid like interface with various filter options outside of airtable but that does use airtable records as the backend? Heres a pic of what I want to accomplish but outside the interface designer. Imgur: The magic of the Internet Any advice appreciated. Softr seemed close but its list view is a bit on the big side, I need something where it can show any rows at once but with attachments. Even better would if I could get something going where people can choose to change between gallery view and grid view with easy. Will I have to create a whole new website via webflow? :-/
