Editing this because I thought it was a BusyCal issue, but turns out I can’t even sync to iCal either. For ages now, I have been able to publish my AT calendar to BusyCal using Share View → Sync to External Calendar, and then subscribing to a new calendar and pasting in the AT calendar link. Now, I get a " iCal data invalid or failed be parse" error message. The dev at BC says that the calendar link I sent him “is returning a HTML page (according to the logs) with a lot of Javascript. It’s not returning a valid .ics file. So I don’t know why it’s not working - best to email airtable and ask why it won’t work.” iCal is returning an error that the share link from AT is not valid. Is there anything that I can do on the AT side to make this work again? Thank you, Rae

Hi, I would like to know if there is a better way that the system automatically remembers the field mapping of the CSV files we import. What happens is that multiple users used the same table in importing a CSV file so whenever this person resets or changes the field mapping, the next person who uses it next would manually turn on and off the field mappings depending on the file being used because the field mapping of the last user is what appears in the system. It is taking much of our time to turn it on and off. Thank you and appreciate your receiving a solution to my question.

Hi, A few of us are trying out AT Pro before jumping into Enterprise. I have a use case in that each department needs its workspace, however, there is some info from each that needs to go into one base to bring data/workload/plans together from multiple teams. So can I sync a view from a base in my workspace on pro to someone else who has pro on their workspace without paying for another licence?

Hi, I’d like to send emails to people in my list with for example their own name in it. Is that possible to do in Airtable? Something like - Dear [FullName], … that turns into Dear Sarah,… in one mail and Dear Carl,… in the other based in the info in my databaze. Thanks for any help!

I’ve read a lot of support articles, all seem overly complicated for what I’m trying to do: I have a simple table, one of the fields is CreatedTime, another is a checkbox called Used. New records are constantly being added to the DB, at intermittent intervals. At other intermittent intervals (slower pace than the above), a trigger will cause Used to get checked. At which point, what I’m trying to do is have the “Oldest entry that is not Used” be visible in a view. Seems like this should be dead simple, but I am stymied. Help?

I have a table of “Donors” and a table of “Donations.” I’ve linked the Donors to the Donations and I’m trying to figure out how to change what I see when I open the linked Donor record from the Donations table. I have dozens of fields in both tables, so is there a way to adjust which fields are shown and which fields are hidden when viewing a linked record? Thanks, Dave

hi all, Interface designer is great but one limitation that I wish it didn’t have is that to use an interface, one must be logged in. I testes softr a bit, and while it was close it doesn’t seem to have an option for a true tight grid like view that is in airtable. Does anyone know of a good way to try and make a grid like interface with various filter options outside of airtable but that does use airtable records as the backend? Heres a pic of what I want to accomplish but outside the interface designer. Imgur: The magic of the Internet Any advice appreciated. Softr seemed close but its list view is a bit on the big side, I need something where it can show any rows at once but with attachments. Even better would if I could get something going where people can choose to change between gallery view and grid view with easy. Will I have to create a whole new website via webflow? :-/

Hey everyone! I’m trying to pull the data from each of these columns into another table. I need them to be transferred as they are currently sorted and separated by a comma. Example: Week 1 should be first 24, 67, 45, 68, 599, 3358, etc. etc. Any idea how to do this?

Hi - I would like to use Kanban view but don’t want duplicate records to pop up until they are sorted. For example let’s use a persons name. Derek Jeter. I want to have 10 Derek Jeters. Once the first Derek Jeter is assigned to a team ( say the Yankees) a second record will appear that can be eligible to be placed on another team Kanban. Understand?

Hi again! im trying to add opening and closing times to each record - so they sync with softr… i figured the best way is to create a field for each day of the week and have a drop menu for every hour and assign to each record. However this info doesnt migrate over to softr very well. Is there a different way the information could be organized so it looks like this when its in softr: Thanks!

I know I can use count to count the number of links that occur, but does anyone have a solution for counting the number of times the main column occurs in a link. So for this example here I’d like to have a column that tells be how many times a “Name” is used in the “Linked Skills” so it would be 0,1,1,0,3 for the cases shown here.

I have a long text field with rich text formatting. I have filled in hundreds of entries in this field that will be pulled from Airtable to populate a webpage. I was asked if I could go back and make the text bold going forward. Therefore, I have two questions: Can I somehow go back and format all the text as bold in AT similar to how it could be done in Excel/Sheets? I have tried the following: creating an automation and filling the field with the current contents surrounded by two asterisks, exporting the data as a CSV file and formatting the text as bold and reimporting. Going forward, will there be functionality where I can edit the field type where by default, all entries will be bolded? The only thing I can think of now would be a script, which I am not equipped to do. Thank you in advance for any advice! Gavin

Is it possible to limit a Lookup field to the latest entry? I have a Notes table with a date field which is related to the Companies table. I want to show the date of the last note record related to that company. That way I know when I last spoke to that company and filter the table accordingly. Any thoughts?

I have the following structure: Base 1 - Table 1 Base 2 - Table 2 Base 3 - Table 3 In Table 1 I want to add a field that pulls information automatically from Base 2 - Table 2 and from Base 3 - Table 3. This should be a single select field. Let’s say that I have 10 records in Table 2 and 10 records in Table 3. In Table 1, I want to be able to select a single value from the 20 records pulled from the other 2 tables. And these values (in the field of Table 1) should be updated automatically if I add or remove records from Table 2 and Table 3. Is that something that can be done with Airtable? P.S. I’m pretty new to Airtable

Hi, im trying to build a website with the help of Airbase (using softr.io). I have a list of companies in my table. How would i format the data so that: i can display opening days i can display specific events that business have on… for example - a business may offer a drinks promotion on mondays, wednesday and sundays. They may also offer a DIFFERENT drinks promotion on tuesday and thursday. How do i collate the data so that when i use these values within the website it filters the information for the users? Sorry if this is poorly explained - im not very tech savvy! Thanks!

Hi I have two tables Products (name, creation start date, creation end date) Resource(name, availability start date, availability end date) For each product creation there are different resources required and the resource availability may or may not match the attached product delivery time line. Based on different products and attached resources, need to identify which is the best bet and proceed with that product delivery planning. The diagram looks like some thing and based on view output one can easily understand that Product A is better option to proceed though Resource 5 is not fully aligned. I tried to get this but facing some issues. Please let me know how this can be achieved in timeline view. Thanks Henry

hi is anyone here using Resource Planning - Airtable Universe this one as a base? I am playing around with it. how is Planning (Globals) tab used? I am trying to see how much are certain resources available in given week - how do I do that? How can i assign resource to a project but for a partly duration? i.e. if the project is 1 months but one resource only needs to be assigned for 2 weeks? *Is there a less manual way to add individual allocations for the same project (in the allocation tab) rather than duplicating the row and changing the personnel one by one?
