Currently, when you sync Google Calendar to Airtable, the title of the event is the name of the calendar event in Google calendar. Which is fine, until you have a recurring event. So ALL your events in the synced table have the SAME name. I created a form to link a business activity to the calendar event, but because they are all the same name, I can’t know which event is for which day because the form only shows the titles. Does someone have a work around?

Is there any share view option in which I can share a view in a table to a selected group of people? I want a grouped and filtered view which can be only accessed by the managers and the other views can be accessed by all the people in the workspace.

Trying to set up something like this: Date (column) which I am turning into a number using DATETIME_FORMAT({Date},‘YYMMDD’). :thumbs_up: Have an Auto Number column as well that generates a number with leading zeros using: REPT( ‘0’, 3-LEN( {Number}&’’ ) )& {Number} :thumbs_up: However, I’d like the auto number to reset to 001 on each new day and if a new entry is added with a date where several records already exist 001,002,003 … then the number should be +1 for that day and create a record with a YYMMDD-004. Is this possible?

Currently have our database sorted by View Types and created different Interfaces to present different types accordingly. Are you able to filter by the already created View Types in the Interface instead of rebuilding each sort? Please let me know if that is too confusing and need more information regarding my question! To preface, I am completely new to Airtable, and get lost quickly in the formulas. I’ve been searching threads for over an hour, copying any formula I can find that relates, and not a single one has worked (“Sorry, there was a problem saving this field. Invalid formula. Please check your formula text.”). We want to get a reminder email to one of our employees when an agent’s birthday is a week away. We have a birthday field for our agents, and ideally it would only need month/day, since we don’t keep record of their birth year. If I need to, I’ll just put 2020 for the year on all of them (which is what I’ve done to try to solve this). But I get stuck here, trying to create the new formula field to get the correct date necessary to move onto the automation step. Any and all help is desperately welcome for this seemingly easy task!

Reporting this defect. The timeline and gantt views don’t sort the grouping. I could see two possible options sort in the order in which items appear in the field setup sort in standard alpha order (asc or desc) Either would work for me. The sort order is currently neither and it’s hard to figure out exactly what it’s doing to determine the order of the group items. Maybe record order in the DB (which wouldn’t be helpful)?

Hi there, Sorry to bother you with this question, but since this morning the synchronization between Airtable and Google Calendar does not work anymore. Although I created new records, they no longer appear in the google calendar where I integrated the airtable calendar via its url. Does anyone else encounter this problem? Strange thing too, I work with thunderbird for my different email accounts and in the calendar tool it no longer recognizes the url of my airtable calendar. Thanks for your help.

Hello I have a base structure of: EVENT → VENUE SLOTS → STAFF ALLOCATIONS Whee an event can have a number of venue slots (ie each day’s activity) and each slot has a number of staff allocated to it I would like to be able to produce a report which shows all of the staff that have been allocated to an event, but I can’t see a way to do this. I can only insert a table for children of the master record - I can’t seem to go any deeper? I was wondering about somehow exporting the data to google sheets but can’t see a great way to do this?

Hello, Ok, the set up, It’s a database. The Variables : First Column = Item ID Second column = Media ID Third Column = Vender ID I have multiple Item ID’s that share the same Media ID. I would like make an interface view where the Media IDs are listed out (but not repeated), and filtered by the Vendor IDs. So far, I cannot seem to find a way to do this without all of the Item IDs that have the same Media ID listing out as well. I hope this makes sense to someone. Thank you.

Hey all, We are using Airtable pretty heavily for our VC, Development Studio and our clients MVP’s, with the new interfaces features we are able to build out awesome dashboards in a quarter of the time it would take us with bubble or other no code tools. Using airtable with bubble in this way is super powerful. We’ve looked at stackerHQ for precisely this purpose quite a lot of times but it just didn’t quite fit, airtable seams to have nailed it pretty well. The only issue we are facing is bringing our dashboards client facing (for our VC), it’s a bit cost prohibitive to have 2000 users signed up to our airtable account. StackerHQ does this really well and I wanted to know if anyone has a solution for this or if Airtable is planning to do something here. We use clickUP for our project management but we want to bring our project management into airtable. ClickUp does users not too bad, their concept is that you buy one seat and you get 5 guest seats. I have used the block “Page Designer” to create a 3x5 label which I would like to then print to a rolled label printer one at a time or as needed. We will affix these labels to the front of our job folders for internal use. Has anyone used a Rollo Label Printer – Commercial Grade Direct Thermal High Speed Printer or something comparable to accomplish this? It appears this type printer is used mainly for shipping purposes, and I am worried airtable will not communicate well with it for printing purposes. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

I’ve built a database of grants and funding opportunities, and a survey that asks users the questions to determine their eligibility for the various grants. I have a table that lists the grants and how the various questions have to be answered to determine eligibility. I’d like to create a table that populates which grants a survey respondent is eligible for when a survey response is submitted. How would I go about doing that? My first thought is that it would be a formula, ie if Survey Q1=X, Survey Q2= Y and Survey Q3 = Z, Awesome Grant = Eligible, Awesome Grant = Not Eligible. But Airtable doesn’t allow formulas across tables. Then I thought an automation, or a junction table, but neither of these seem to be the answer when I dig deeper. So, rather than struggle for another couple of days, help?

Hello, community! I have the Airtable base of 10 000 companies - company’s name is used as primary field. The tax unique number of companies are in other field in Integer format. Every week in Excel format I receive many companies data with their tax numbers with important information (status of work and comments) which is not updated in Airtable. Excel file is updated periodically with actual status and comments. To integrate this file to Airtable is not possible as it is managed by other company. How to add important information (status of work and comments) about companies from Excel to Airtable base, using common identificator (tax number)?

I am designing on system where I need to fetch data from the tables from Airtable. Can someone let me know how the reads are charged in Airtable ? Can I go with a solution in which if the user opens the page, the data is loaded from Airtable Or Should I go with Daily Sync to a local database? Please advice

I’m certain this is a lack of understanding of JS or synchronous/asynchronous operations on my part, but: if I want to call Airtable.base.create through the Node.js module and actually get the created records (or error) returned to be used elsewhere, how would I do that? Hi all! I have trouble wrapping my head around a database I’m building for a client. The concerned DB is for equipment rentals and my problem is making clear what’s available at a given date for rental. In the Rental table, I have a field for the outing date and another for the return. When a new rental is made, we would need to enter specific in/out dates and see the equipment available for those dates. Any idea on this?

Hey, I am a project manager for an event venue. I use airtable to create day sheets for events that function as to-do lists for the day. My team regularly refers to the kanban view. What I am having issues with is I group the events in Kanban by date. Every stack in kanban view is a day. What I am having issues with is when you use filters to filter out events that have already happened, the stack for the day still shows up as an empty stack. This means either uncategorizing old past events or deleting them. Deleting them is not an option as we often have repeat clients, and uncategorizing them messes up the workflow because then uncategorized has a bunch of stuff in it and cant be a landing spot for new entries. Any thoughts?

I’m trying to create a formula to do “high to low” and “low to high” features on our website. It is not working right. I wanted to show just the cheapest if there are multiple rooms available in a property but it does not work right. Here’s the formula that I did. I have read multiple posts on the subject, but none seem to quite answer my newbie questions. I have 2 tables: Animal and Priority. Animal table contains a list of animals and a link to a list of priorities in Priority table. The animals are grouped by Priority, which automatically sorts by Priority Name in alphabetical order. However, what I want is to sort by Priority Order. I’ve tried sorting by Lookup Fields, but that does not change the ordering. Basically, I want to see a list of animals ordered from Must Have, Nice to Have, Undecided, and Definitely Not. Animal Table Priority Table My workaround is to use a formula in the first column in Priority table to combine Order and Name like this: Animal Workaround Table Sadly this makes the tables very hard to read. And I have many more tables that require this type of grouping and ordering. Is there a way to accomplish what I want without using the formula showing “1 - Must Have”, etc.? Thanks in advance!

I’m wracking my brain trying to figure out how I can make this work. I have an Items table. I have a Locations table. I have a Location Records table that joins the two. An Item has many Location Records, and belongs to a Location through its most recent Location Record, and it has a history of all its past Locations through the sequence of all its Location Records. In the Items table, I can Rollup Location Records–>{Date}–>MAX(values) to pull the {Date} out of the most recent Location Record. But how can I pull the {Location} out of the most recent Location Record, so that I can display an Item’s {Current Location}? I can Rollup Location Records–>{Location}–>ARRAYJOIN(values). I was hoping the {Location} value from the most recently added Location Record would be the first in the array – then I could use: LEFT( {Location Rollup}, SEARCH( ",", {Location Rollup} ) -1 ) to parse out the first value from the array.
