How can I create views for several collaborators? I do not want it for my entire team just select users.

i have a table called MetonicAppFileK which a number of fields including today’s date, which ive called GregDate. One of the fields in the table shows the Metonic Year for each day called MetNo. i would like to select records based on the value of MetNo for today;'s date GregDate. So i first need to find the MetNo for today’s date. then select all records with the same MetNo. any idea how i would do this?

Hey, I have been using airtable for a while and I’m confused… I have email set as a field on a form but I’m getting this message and thus the email field won’t appear on the form… However the email field is an “Email type” entry field, not read only, so I dont understand why I can’t have it as a user input field…

Mac App has broken since the major UI refresh. No option to login. Error message: We’re sorry, but you don’t have permissions to access this page. You need to have “owner” permissions in order to access the workspace account page. You can ask your workspace’s owner to give you these permissions if you need them. Emailed support but 4 days passed and no solution. Downloaded the latest version from the website, still the same behavior. Any suggestions?

I’m creating an employee directory and I’d like to have a record (cell) display an emoji or change colors one week before that person’s birthday. Has anyone figured out how to do that?

We have a time tracker, but it just tracks the actual time and adds onto it. We want to track how much time we spend on each task each day and each week. Is there an easy way to do that or do we need to set up a table that is linked up to that.

Hello! I have a table for “teams” and a table for “tournaments”. There is a linked field between the two. I want to create a button in a Glide app for my end user that allows them to “Register” their team for a specific tournament, but I can’t find a straightforward way to update a linked field to add a linked record that doesn’t clear out existing linked fields. Example: When the administrator for the red team clicks a button on the tournament page, this tournament is added to their team’s list of tournaments in the “tournament” field and vice versa. Because a team can register for multiple tournaments and tournaments can have multiple teams, I want to update this linked field without clearing out existing records in these fields. Is this possible?

Are you able to link records to a new base and make them editable? I want to create a base where an external team can collaborate on a project that I track on my internal base. Any suggestions?

Hi all! I’m using Airtable as a repository for a bunch of business data and am starting to think about how I present that data back to parts of our business so that we can make decisions from it. To do that, I’m imagining creating a few different dashboards that use various segments of the data. Each dashboard will need different charts and tables that are based on the data (sometimes straight up, sometimes in aggregate – e.g. added across days). Ideally, I can somehow manage permissions across those reports, so that certain users can see some reports but not others. I’ve tried using Airbase’s Interface Designer (too limited in terms of data presentation) and Data Studio (super slow and janky). Has anyone else been able to achieve something like this?

Hi, Have anyone get calendar’s external sync (iCal) working with android app “iCal import/Export Pro” ? It seems that 95% of the syncs Airtable returns to the app “Page not found” web page, instead of ICS data. Have anyone get this work ?

Hello, I currently create event schedules like the following in Excel, with hour of day going down, stage names going across, and event blocks sized accordingly based on time length. This is a fairly manual process right now to change this schedule each day. I edit each cell with new event details, change size of the block to match the event timeframe via merging cells, and then color code the block according to the stage. My dream would be to enter in event data e.g. artist name, time frame, and corresponding stage, in an easy-to-fill form / database, and have it auto-create a view similar to the screenshot above. Is this possible with Airtable? Or any other ways Airtable can make the current process less manual? Thank you.

Is there anyway to sync my contacts in Airtable with my Office365 Exchange Global Address List (GAL)? I use a lot of “external” contacts in my Office365 Exchange Global Address List (GAL) to create different distribution lists. Right now if my contact updates their email/phone/etc., I have to update it in Airtable, then go to my exchange contacts online and update the info there as well. Thanks for any advise! Nick

I’m working on managing a fleet of vehicles and im trying to automate things that happen when my “Fuel Log” table is updated. Currently new records are entered via a form by my drivers, I would then like to have the Mileage and Engine Hours that were entered into the new record from that form update on a separate table that i store general information for each of my vehicles on. Currently the tables are “Fuel Log” and “Assets” “Fuel Log” houses a list of entries updated daily by drivers when recording their post trip information, it is ever expanding and I GROUP it by date. “Assets” houses a static list of the vehicles we use, and is only there to contain general information about each vehicle, VIN, Mileage, make, model etc. There are never any new records in this table, only updates to specific records in this table. Enterprise - started making User groups but they are not showing up. Do I need to re-share the workspace with the user group? Also, I have some users who are part of several groups, and each group may have different user levels. How do I ensure only certain groups or group members have elevated creator access vs standard editor access?

I’m new. Most of my problems would be solved if I could define what is a record label and what is a field label. In an Excel file I have Months (MM/DD/YY) across the top and Employees along the side. Even when I copy and flip the excel file’s x axis for y axis (copy/paste/format special change x/y), it still picks up the date as the record and Name as a field label. Sincerely, James

Currently, when you sync Google Calendar to Airtable, the title of the event is the name of the calendar event in Google calendar. Which is fine, until you have a recurring event. So ALL your events in the synced table have the SAME name. I created a form to link a business activity to the calendar event, but because they are all the same name, I can’t know which event is for which day because the form only shows the titles. Does someone have a work around?

Is there any share view option in which I can share a view in a table to a selected group of people? I want a grouped and filtered view which can be only accessed by the managers and the other views can be accessed by all the people in the workspace.

Trying to set up something like this: Date (column) which I am turning into a number using DATETIME_FORMAT({Date},‘YYMMDD’). :thumbs_up: Have an Auto Number column as well that generates a number with leading zeros using: REPT( ‘0’, 3-LEN( {Number}&’’ ) )& {Number} :thumbs_up: However, I’d like the auto number to reset to 001 on each new day and if a new entry is added with a date where several records already exist 001,002,003 … then the number should be +1 for that day and create a record with a YYMMDD-004. Is this possible?

Currently have our database sorted by View Types and created different Interfaces to present different types accordingly. Are you able to filter by the already created View Types in the Interface instead of rebuilding each sort? Please let me know if that is too confusing and need more information regarding my question! To preface, I am completely new to Airtable, and get lost quickly in the formulas. I’ve been searching threads for over an hour, copying any formula I can find that relates, and not a single one has worked (“Sorry, there was a problem saving this field. Invalid formula. Please check your formula text.”). We want to get a reminder email to one of our employees when an agent’s birthday is a week away. We have a birthday field for our agents, and ideally it would only need month/day, since we don’t keep record of their birth year. If I need to, I’ll just put 2020 for the year on all of them (which is what I’ve done to try to solve this). But I get stuck here, trying to create the new formula field to get the correct date necessary to move onto the automation step. Any and all help is desperately welcome for this seemingly easy task!

Reporting this defect. The timeline and gantt views don’t sort the grouping. I could see two possible options sort in the order in which items appear in the field setup sort in standard alpha order (asc or desc) Either would work for me. The sort order is currently neither and it’s hard to figure out exactly what it’s doing to determine the order of the group items. Maybe record order in the DB (which wouldn’t be helpful)?
