We use a LOT of different grid views. I am finding that when I need to duplicate a collaborative view (so then I can slightly tweak it for a different saved view) it defaults to making the duplicate a “personal” view. I want it to remain collaborative, or at least be able to move it from personal to collaborative, but it does not seem to allow me to do that. It’s a pretty frustrating issue. Any pointers? Thank you!

I have a pro plan (50k records per base). I’m trying to do CSV import of approximately 2k records onto a base of 24k records for an approximate total of 26k records on this base. What other reasons could I be getting this error? See screenshot.

Hi! I am trying to create a simple If formula that shows how much my clients owe me. So if the amount billed is equal to the amount paid, show £0 else show the balance. My issue is, I am trying to append the £ sign before the balance calculation but it doesn’t work. IF({Amount Billed}={Amount Paid}, “£0”, ‘£’ & {Amount Billed}-{Amount Paid}) It only works if I place the £ after the balance. IF({Amount Billed}={Amount Paid}, “£0”,{Amount Billed}-{Amount Paid}&’ £’) Any help on how I can accomplish this?

I want to create a Single Select field with a list of all countries so that users can fill it out in a form. What’s the easiest what to do this without having to add every single country individually? Thanks!

I’m pretty sure this is a easy fix but I keep going around in circles… I need to create recurrent task with about 3-4 subtask for multiple records… Record: Johnny Task: Offer letter Subtask: () send offer () send background () get references I’ve figured out how to link the sub task to task in the “Task” table, however when I link it to the “onboarding” table… and check off a subtask … the checkmark populates for all of the records… so now Joan, Johnny, and Mike have sent offers when that’s not the case. Please, what am I doing wrong?

I have a survey form asking participants of their confidence scores that feeds into a table. Here’s 3 sample questions, all 1-5 score: confidence with financials confidence with communication confidence with strategy These go into columns B-D. I’d like to then have a way to display, for a single respondent (record), a sorted list view of these 3 columns to show highest to lowest rank. E.g. someone responds 2, 4, 3 respectively. I’d like to create a table (preferably in Interfaces) that shows: Communication (4) Strategy (3) Financials (2) Is this possible?

Running into a problem creating an order tracking form. I have 4 tables Customer Info - name, address, etc… Product List - products and prices Orders - each row has customer name and product and product quantity purchased. Primary field is a formula concatenating Customer name and product they purchased Now I’m creating a 4th table Order summary by customer. Primary field is an Autonumber. Second column is a linked record to Customer Name pulled from the Customer Info table. What I want to do is group by customer, everything they ordered and the total they owe. Where I am running intotrouble is I can’t pull the Quantity field from the Orders table using a Lookup; I don’t know why. Please help! Thank you

Hello Friends! I’m not sure how to do this but perhaps there is someone out there that can help me. With all my records we use 1 image to quickly identify the type of record. For example,: We have a tab with all our webinars. We use two images to identify which is which (CRO or PV). To do this with each new record, it’s annoying to upload the same image repeatedly. I like the idea of using the BUTTON feature to attach an image, but the issue is that it will only add images from Pexels. I’m looking to upload images from within my base with a table dedicated to images acting as a portal. Does this make sense to anybody? Any idea how this can be done?

Hello everyone, I’ve had a look on the forums and haven’t found a mention of this, but is it possible to have air table automatically rename attachments. For example. If I have a record named Ross and there are four images attached for those images to be named renamed ROSS-1.jpg, ROSS-2.jpg, ROSS-3.jpg, ROSS-4.pg? Thanks so much!

Hello Everyone, We have the requirement as explained below. I would like to understand how it can be achieved in airtable? The steps are as follow. There will be a form-1 where in user enters “company name”. Click on “Generate Data” button. This button will call the script to invoke external API.And whatever response we get from API,those responses will used to buld the airtable form-2 link with pre-fill option. After that, flow will be redirect edto this pre-filled form-2 link automatically. The challenges in above approach is as flollow: For step-2, when end user will click on generate data button This action will call some custom script to fetch response from external API. So, my doubt is how to build form-2 link using pre-fill option with the values got from custom script/external API on the fly. Hi community, I have a question about using Airtable to manage the creative team workload over time. My goal is to build an Airtable template and ask the team members to write down the number of hours they spent on every task on a daily or weekly basis. And keep these records in the Airtable. This could help us to keep track of the busy weeks and days that are less packed. E.g., my producer can put down 2 hours today working on a video shoot task for planning, and 8 hours tomorrow on this video task again for onsite shooting, then 5 hours the day after tomorrow for this video shoot task for post-editing. As you can see, I need a series of fields, that are connected with consecutive dates, and to be filled with numbers, which are the working hours. I can then calculate the total hours they spent on a task easily with a formula. But I’m having difficulty building this template. Does anyone know how to achieve that with the Airtable? I’m open

Hi, I’m so sorry to be repeating what other people have already asked, I have tried a few of the solutions previously suggested, but I am such a novice, I’m obviously doing something wrong. I’m hoping that if I give my specific examples someone really clever and very patient can give me a step by step idiots guide please. This is the simplified version: Table A = purchase orders to buy various types of material Table B = batches of material booked into stock (from the purchase orders) Table C = customer orders to sell the material These tables are linked so that every time a purchase order is completed (Table A) the material gets booked into stock (Table B) and the quantities increased accordingly, then every time a customer order is completed (Table C) it deducts the corresponding quantity from stock - so far so good. I’m wondering if there is a way to setup a view similar to the Dedupte extension, where you can see duplicate entries that compare 2 columns of information. I like Dedupte but I want to use the automations feature to send myself an email when a duplicate entry is created.

I have a team of creatives that are scheduled on a shared calendar and all tasks are color coded to signify who is assigned to them for our coordinator to manage individual capacity. Many of my team members have been given the same color for their profile. I would like to change the users colors but can’t seem to find a way to modify that detail. Any help would be appreciated!

I have a base that includes tables synced to three other bases. I would love to be able to provide a visual representation of the base schema INCLUDING where the syncs come from. I want to be able to do this to show my colleagues what the entire flow of information looks like, making it clear that they will need to enter certain records in the source(synced) base rather than into the base where the output from the sync is.

Thank you in advance! I’m new to Airtable and have watched several tutorials and still I’m stumped. Here is the situation I have is a base with 8 Tables. Table 1 is the master list of products I sell. This table has fields with my product name, and number, etc. The other 7 tables are vendors where I can buy the products. Each vendor has a different name and price for the product. The first 5 fields on every table is the name of my product. The goal is to be able to move from Vendor A to Vendor B and so on and see my name and color of item and compare it to the Vendors product name. What I want to do is have the first 5 fields on table 1 linked to the other 7 tables. The goal is when I discontinue an item on my product list (table 1) and change the status to discontinued then the status changes on all the other vendor tables. Or if a vendor discontinues a product, I can change the status on the vendors table, and it will change on all other tables. I hope this makes

Per the attachment changes after Nov 8 - Any attachment URLs obtained via the public API and the CSV export functionality will expire after a few hours. If I am using Airtable as a CMS for my own site where the data (and attachment column) is being fetched via API, what url will the API return 2 hours after the attachment as been uploaded? For example let’s say the original url of the attachment is airtable.com/image-first-location.jpg, I understand after 2 hours it will return 404 not found. However if I make a second API call after 2 hours, would the url returned for the attachment field be a new “working” url such as airtable.com/image-second-location.jpg or would it still return

So this is my situation at the moment: I have a table called PAYMENTS in which i record payment on invoices (generic information). I then have another table called REBATE which has all the detailed information (including the generic which is pulled in from Payments) with a line per line item in the invoice and lots of other info on the line item. Would it be possible that from the Payments table i create a BUTTON that would pull all the line entries in the REBATE table and show them in a sensical manner for the user to understand? Hi, When I fetch my records through the api, the text is cut off. For example: “text field” : “Very long text. Et cetera Et cetera wil but cuff. Like thi…” Is there any way to get the full text content?

TLDR; it’d be dope to have a new method in the Airtable API that allows you to trigger a base’s sync. I have two bases: one for a crm, and one for projects. The projects base has a table for projects, and two synced tables from the crm, one for people and one for a subset of companies that are clients. I have automations and scripts in the projects base that do things like Creating Invoices and Tracking Time, which call external APIs that return information I’d like to update on the crm, like a customer’s Stripe ID. I can do that using Airtable’s API, but then the current base I’m in becomes stale. It’d be great to sync the base at the end of the script or automation so that future scripts and automations can use the synced data.

Have a question regarding the correct Airtable implementation for a unique situation I am currently facing. I want to have a Subcategory column in my table that is of type multiple select and then have a following column that directs all the possible combinations of Subcategories into 3 different groups (1, 2, both) and a simple conditional statement can determine this. Unfortunately, I cannot use a for loop in the Formula builder correctly so the function does not work correctly. Now I am wondering if I should implement a script to create the desired column or is this overkill and is there a simpler solution? Apologies if my explanation is not clear and can dive into more detail upon request. Thanks!

Hi guys, I have this base here where we put all the projects we take care. 1° e 2° columns we have the name of all projects and their groups. Every 3 months, they have to send us a few documents for project accountability (each project has a specific date). We have the columns with the dates and others columns enumerated with 1°, 2°, 3°… accountability, so when the date comes, an automatic e-mail is sent to them (the automation takes the columns: name, group and number of accountability). The e-mail is something like: 15 days to the project XXX from YYY send us the Z° accountability. But the problem is: we have many accountabilities for each project (like 10 or more), we are taking more than 10 automations (synced to each date column) and we want to put it all in just one automation.
