Per the attachment changes after Nov 8 - Any attachment URLs obtained via the public API and the CSV export functionality will expire after a few hours. If I am using Airtable as a CMS for my own site where the data (and attachment column) is being fetched via API, what url will the API return 2 hours after the attachment as been uploaded? For example let’s say the original url of the attachment is airtable.com/image-first-location.jpg, I understand after 2 hours it will return 404 not found. However if I make a second API call after 2 hours, would the url returned for the attachment field be a new “working” url such as airtable.com/image-second-location.jpg or would it still return

So this is my situation at the moment: I have a table called PAYMENTS in which i record payment on invoices (generic information). I then have another table called REBATE which has all the detailed information (including the generic which is pulled in from Payments) with a line per line item in the invoice and lots of other info on the line item. Would it be possible that from the Payments table i create a BUTTON that would pull all the line entries in the REBATE table and show them in a sensical manner for the user to understand? Hi, When I fetch my records through the api, the text is cut off. For example: “text field” : “Very long text. Et cetera Et cetera wil but cuff. Like thi…” Is there any way to get the full text content?

TLDR; it’d be dope to have a new method in the Airtable API that allows you to trigger a base’s sync. I have two bases: one for a crm, and one for projects. The projects base has a table for projects, and two synced tables from the crm, one for people and one for a subset of companies that are clients. I have automations and scripts in the projects base that do things like Creating Invoices and Tracking Time, which call external APIs that return information I’d like to update on the crm, like a customer’s Stripe ID. I can do that using Airtable’s API, but then the current base I’m in becomes stale. It’d be great to sync the base at the end of the script or automation so that future scripts and automations can use the synced data.

Have a question regarding the correct Airtable implementation for a unique situation I am currently facing. I want to have a Subcategory column in my table that is of type multiple select and then have a following column that directs all the possible combinations of Subcategories into 3 different groups (1, 2, both) and a simple conditional statement can determine this. Unfortunately, I cannot use a for loop in the Formula builder correctly so the function does not work correctly. Now I am wondering if I should implement a script to create the desired column or is this overkill and is there a simpler solution? Apologies if my explanation is not clear and can dive into more detail upon request. Thanks!

Hi guys, I have this base here where we put all the projects we take care. 1° e 2° columns we have the name of all projects and their groups. Every 3 months, they have to send us a few documents for project accountability (each project has a specific date). We have the columns with the dates and others columns enumerated with 1°, 2°, 3°… accountability, so when the date comes, an automatic e-mail is sent to them (the automation takes the columns: name, group and number of accountability). The e-mail is something like: 15 days to the project XXX from YYY send us the Z° accountability. But the problem is: we have many accountabilities for each project (like 10 or more), we are taking more than 10 automations (synced to each date column) and we want to put it all in just one automation. In Interface - Is it possible to improve the amount of detail shown directly on a line chart? I’m looking for: -a point at every data point (instead of just a line with no points) -a label for a price at each data point (not just on hover over, but directly on the chart) -more frequent numbers/hashes on the Y-axis (my y-axis price) -also looking for the ability to not aggregate… -also looking for the ability to have multiple groupings -would also be wonderful to have similar functionality to the Charts extension where you can click on a point and open up the record from the Base… …any tips appreciated!

Hey AT community! Been working with Airtable for only a little while now and having trouble coming up with a formula that we will use in many of our tables. I would simply like to input an amount in a USD$ field and have it automatically appear in the €EUR field by multiplying it against an exchange rate (ie. 0.93) Often, we receive both currencies in sales or donations. In other words, if the Euro field is empty and the sale was in USD, we could enter the USD and exchange rate and have it calculate and populate the Euro column. Here’s a screenshot of the columns and what I’m trying to figure out. How would you suggest I do this? Thanks in advance!

So, one of the repetitive tasks that I have is to go back to a certain day when a receipt was made and find the USD to EURO exchange rate for that day – and then robotically and often zombie-like paste it into the record in Airtable. Here’s my question(s): WHERE do I find a site or a feed that I can pull the historic exchange rate from (which plays nice with Airtable) and HOW do I script it to look at the date and get that information? I’ve tried various sites and ways to do this and have not had much luck at all. I need more brains - your brains. Hello! My main table consists in several projects (Rows), each of these projects have a list of items with a common price (I am using another table with the price list per item). I need now to display two things, first I want the standard values to be SUM up on the project and shows me the “Total Contractual Value” according to the amount of standard items added. Second, I would like to add a variation price on top of each item on the price list, but this number should be related to the project, not the Item, the contractual value will never change but the grand total per project can. Hello Airtable Community :grinning: I am building a production management base to track production of ONE PRODUCT comprised of MANY parts. Ideally, we would like the creation of an order to trigger ALL ITEMS on the BOM to subtract parts needed from inventory at once. Is this possible? Could someone weigh in on the relationships and formulas to accomplish this? Order records are entered manually. This is a high-ticket item, and the sales process takes months, so, that part of things will remain manual. Is this possible? Can someone weigh in on the relationships and formulas needed? In reading through many of the questions submitted and only see a way to manage many products vs one, and don’t see any that I recognize as doing what I describe above. I am reasonably skilled at Airtable, however, not so good at understanding how to make more complex relationships work. Thanks in advance for your input

Hi, I am trying to create a simple automation for a ‘date completed’ field that takes todays date and inserts into the ‘date completed’ field when a certain status is selected. It seems that New Zealand will not work correctly for this whatsoever though. The first issue is that the local selection for date formatting is not correct at all and shows the date as M/D/Y rather than D/M/Y. The second issue I encounter is that the date is always actually a day behind. It seems to show the date in GMT rather than NZDT even when I have tried to set it to NZDT. TODAY() shows 10/17/2022 even though today it is 18/10/2022. Can anybody help?!

We have a pivot table to review a variety of reporting, but currently have 2 major issues: Months with no data are not being represented, making it look wholistic when in fact its not. IS there a setting im missing or a way to force empty months into the reporting? Column headers are getting squished making headers difficult to read. Is there a way to force same width for all columns? Or at very least to also take into account column headers as minimum width (not just the values)?

I’d like to use this previous example as a foundation for this question. What if the value being rolled up isn’t a number/date, but a status? We are an agency business who has a number of clients, each with their own product(s) that we are presenting to other organizations. We log our outreach to these organizations on one table, and each log entry contains a date, a status (Potential, Pending, Ongoing, On Hold, Lead, and Not Relevant), and some text on the action taken in that record. Right now I have no problem sorting the entries on that table so that they are grouped by Org, then bu product, and the logs are sorted by date so most recent is first. I would like to, however, be able to pull up (for example, on the table that lists all the organisations we pitch to, see at a glance the most recent activity related to that product,
