Hello- I know I have seen some threads on this topic before. Is there any progress with being able to annotate and comment/draw/add shapes/call outs directly on a PDF. Are there any apps that can support this, I found this, Image Markup - Apps - Airtable Marketplace but don’t look like it’s supported anymore. Anyone know when Airtable will enable this feature for PDF image mark ups? Thanks! Scott
Hi When I create a pdf from page dsigner i get a date and time at the top of the page and a url at the bottom. These are not in the designer view. How do i remove them. Thanks
Hello! Newish to Airtable, sorry. I am trying to sort a table that consists of all of the ISO 19650 Uniclass codes, links below: uniclass-2015 Uniclass 2015 Classification tables in CSV format Uniclass 2015 Classification tables in CSV format https://buildig.com/uniclass-2015/uniclass2015/Uniclass2015.csv The top level includes 12 tables. Each of these breaks down into Groups, Sub-groups, Sections, and Objects. The tables have no entry for Groups, Sub-groups, Sections, and Objects. The Groups have no entry for Sub-groups, Sections, and Objects. Etc. In the dataset there are multiple items with the same Group number for different tables, etc. I would like to reorganize it so that so that each Group has a unique identifier, possibly the titie. Would this best be achieved with a junction table?
Hello the community, I just started to use the Gantt View and I don’t understand something. When I create a milestone with the End date at 05/09/2022, it is displayed on the timeline bar at the top at 05/10/2022. How can I set my milestone to have the same date displayed in the timeline bar at the top (the 05/09/2022)? Thanks in advance Serge
We have an Airtable form accessible through our public website. But we do not know which base or table it was built from. The person who built it is no longer with the company. Without have to sift through many bases and many tables, is there a simple way to determine where this form-view lives?
I pay for a plus account. I would like to allow multiple people on the free account plan to edit the base I created. I want them to be able to add attachments, data, and info. To edit the base that I created as a plus subscriber, do the free subscribers need to pay for the plus plan?
I would like to hide the title of summary. And just to show the value. e.g) "Sum 777 " turn to only " 777 " Thank you.
:bomb: Airtable is dropping public url support for attachment in an upcoming update that will take place in Nov 2022. This basically mean all urls to all attachments uploaded prior to that date will cease to work, and all attachments public leads uploaded from there will only work for a “few hours” (would be great to know exactly how long, by the way). Supposedly being a security update, it’s more of a shitty update, speaking frankly. There are many other ways to achieve a similar result (where security is enforced) while doing it in a smart way that doesn’t hit all customers where it hurts. This will break like all our current workflows using attachments, and makes the nice UI to upload file completely obsolete to us and all our users. For instance, allowing to specify in the Attachment field whether to use a temporary link (and how long) would be so much simpler and effective. So, my take is that Airtable does this on purpose, because this way it forces all end-users to use Airtab
Hi all, Sadly, I need to migrate away from Airtable due to the lack of a scale plan that makes any sense. I’m a Pro user and we are right up against the 50,000 record limit. It has been extensively discussed elsewhere on this forum that unfortunately Airtable does not offer a sane upgrade licensing next step, and for me there’s nowhere to go but out to market to find a new platform. The support team actively advised against the Enterprise plan because we only need more records (lots more records!) not more users or more bases. The enterprise plan cost is laughable anyway for a small business like ours, and would only provide us with additional 50k records, which we’d outgrow in several months anyway. So I’m looking for a much more scalable alternative that can offer some or most of the user friendliness of Airtable, and can support a simple(ish) migration. My base has quite a lot of automations, plus formula and lookup fields, so I know this is a big ask… I found Seatable which claims
There is a field {Profit} (Currency), another {Contribution} (multi-select) field that records the employees working on a particular sale. Now in another [Employees] table, I want to display the total share of the profit they are taking depending upon which sales they were involved in. For example in Table 1, if a sale of $100 is made by Employees A and B, both should earn $50. If a sale of $150 is made By Employees A, B and C, all of them should earn $50. And in the Employees table, I want to write the sum of their profit. So it depends upon the Employees that I add in the multi-select field in the row of that particular sale. But how can I divide the profit among those employees only?
Hello again all, I believe there is another topic titled “Using Automations to Check a Box When Record Matches Conditions”. (I posted there but got no answer) That thread seemed to have strayed a little off track. Because while “Update Record” IS a condition that ‘could’ be used, it’s only one option. And the steps seem to be different for each “Action Type” selected. So, if someone could walk me through another one, like “When a Record is Created”, I would greatly appreciate it! So, WITH A SCREENSHOT (please), can someone please explain how to use an automation to check a box? I’m putting true, false, one’s and zero’s everywhere and nothing is working! As always, THANK YOU! DG
I am trying to convert a string column to a date. I’ve used DATETIME_PARSE(Date) The formula works for some records, but half of them return an ERROR. All of the dates were pasted from the same document, so they are not different in any way. I tried to put in the date manually (which I would like to avoid since I have over 450 records), but it doesn’t fix the problem. What am I doing wrong?
Good Afternoon! I am attempting to use the remove duplicates scripting app to remove the older record of a duplicate. I chose the date created as the comparison field but the script is currently removing the newer of a set of duplicates. I believe below is the block of code that needs to be modified, but I do not know how. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. Have a great day! if (key in existing) { let { keep, discard } = choose(record, existing[key]); toDelete.push(discard); existing[key] = keep;
Is it possible to see the related records as “line items” I mean… on an invoice… Now… I see the invoice and the line items are all Icons. But I would like a layout where I have The invoice, with the Customer, its address, then the line items with Qty and Price and Total and Grand Total and all taxes… But not just a printlayout. One I can work in… I have not yet found how to do this.
Hey guys, I’m trying to get the CoinGecko API to sync but I can’t seem to get it to work. Can anyone help me? I want it to display the price and marketcap of the cryptocurrency. API:https://api.coingecko.com/api/v3/simple/price?ids=londex-2&vs_currencies=usd
I am using Sendgrid app to send emails to my clients from my CRM Base. When I sent those emails, it show that, 80 emails sent, 20 failed. But it did not show me which emails were failed. Is there any way I can track those emails? Also, I am not able to see Sent Items in my Gmail. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
When I created my first Airtable, I got a prompt to automatically add users based on names/email addresses in my table. Awesome! However, I had to delete that table for reasons not relevant here. Now, I create my table again, but users are not auto-generated. How can I auto-generate users for my Base, based on a column inside?
Is there a way to set the default table permissions for a whole workspace or base? Right now, I am manually setting the Delete Records permission to Nobody in every table but if people create new tables, I will have to go in and update that permission. I’m hoping there’s one place I can set it that will apply to everything. Thx! -Kathy
Hi All, I’ve been searching and trying different formulas for a while, and wondered if someone could help me? I’m creating a RAID log where it will capture all risks and score them, depending on the values people have selected for the severity of the risk and likelihood (I have set these two columns up as select fields, so users have options to pick from). I’d like the risk score column to update to a number depending on what is entered into the severity of risk and the likelihood column (a risk matrix). For example if someone were to pick “High” as the severity of risk and “Likely” as the Likelihood the risk score would automatically write 16. If someone were to pick “Low” for the severity of risk and then “Never” as the likelihood it would automatically write 2. There are 25 different combinations. I’ve managed to get this to work so far: IF(AND({Severity of risk} = “Low”, OR(Likelihood = “Never”)), “2”) But that is just for one of 25 possible outcomes. Everything else I’ve tried err
Anyone got any thoughts on exporting a WordPress database to Airtable? I’m contemplating moving a large personal site to Airtable as a CMS. I would want to export my posts, as well as their corresponding images. CSV: There are several ways to export WordPress posts to CSV, eg. the plugin WP All Export. But the CSV obviously wouldn’t contain the image files, just references to the URLs at which they would be retained. MySQL: Then there is the reality that WordPress posts (and users etc) are essentially in a MySQL database. Maybe MySQL to Airtable? Again, though, this would not include image files - they are just files in folders. I wonder if I should be thinking about bringing images into Airtable at all. Maybe okay to leave them on the web server, or even store in something like AWS, then just store references like URLs in a base. Thanks.
Hi Airtable community, this is the first thread I’ve created. I’ve built an entire platform for my company (https://mtilive.io) with Airtable at the center of it all, and it’s working great. I’m hoping for a little help with one aspect of it - I’ve created an airtable automations script and designed it to “throw new error” if certain conditions are not met. It’s working as intended, however, I find the process of getting the detail about the error to be far from ideal. What I’d love to do is replace the very generic “Failed to run” text in the run history with something actually meaningful to me about the specific error that was thrown. Anyone know if that’s possible? If not, I would also be fine with putting error text into the panel that expands when you click the horizontal triangle next to “Failed To Run”. I tried using output.text(“can you see me”) on the hope that it would appear there, but I actually couldn’t figure out where that goes, or if there are any other methods to do th
Hi, Need some help with a scenario in Integromat, after breaking an array of elements using an “Iterator module”, I have created many records using this subgroup of elements by a “Create a record” module. Then I want to send an email using Gmail module “Send an email”. But I want to insert this group of elements as an array in the email content. I tried to modify the scenario, but what I managed to do is send emails as much as elements I have and not a unique email containing all the elements. Maybe I have to use the Flow Control module “Array aggregator” or create a JSON file using the JSON module because I know what the JSON file looks like from the primary module. { “labelAnnotations”: [ { “mid”: “/m/0lkaa”, “car”: “Mazda”, “level”: 9 }, { “mid”: “/m/0csbr”, “car”: “Mercedes”, “level”: 5 }, { “mid”: “/m/0csby”, “car”: “Nissan”, “level”: 12 }, { “mid”: “/m/0mkja”, “car”: “Fiat”, “level”: 6 }, { “mid”: “/m/0nmew”, “car”: “Opel”, “level”: 8 }, { “mid”: “/m/0crrf”, “car”: “BMW”, “level”
Hi there AT Brain-trust, I’m building out a pipeline dashboard using Airtable for my company, and I want to be able to show essentially a comparison of what the data was last month compared to what it is this month. For example, I would want my dashboard to read something like: Number of Opportunities (Current): 1 interest, 3 submitted proposals, 5 won, 2 lost Number of Opportunities (As of 30 days ago): 2: interest, 2 submitted proposals, 4 won, 1 lost I’m sorted on the current opportunities using the current state of data. I am also aware there are ‘snapshots’ of data that I can retrieve but not download (is that still true?). Even if the snapshot was downloadable, it doesn’t seem to be a very elegant solution because it means creating two sources of data. Fields I have that might be useful here: Date Created (record) Date Modified (record) Date Status Changed (i.e. when a user updates the opportunity stage, it triggers a date update in this field) Would really appreciate any tip
I am trying to make a simple inventory of 50+ items I have one table called Inventory which has columns “Name” and “Quantity”. I would let other people borrow my inventory, so there are a lot of ins and outs. Anyway, On occasion, I need to do an Audit of my inventory, so I want to make sure that my personal inventory matches with the global inventory system. So what I would do is download the global inventory and put that into the Airtable as a separate table called Global Inventory. This table would also have columns “Name” and “Quantity”. I was thinking to create a “Global Inventory” column under the Inventory table and use the formula that would compare the two tables “Name” and output the Global Inventory Number so I can easily see if it matches or not. I guess this would be like reconciling a bank transaction in a way. Any help would be much appreciated. I know how to do this in Excel with SUMIF but again, this is not the same here.
On this page, in the section “Changing the displayed timescale” there is a mistake:https://support.airtable.com/hc/en-us/articles/4408659009559The button labeled “Today” will take you back to today’s date, which is indicated on your timeline with a blue horizontal line.…that brings a memory that I feel like sharing. When I was a little boy, I’d have difficulty discerning the meanings of ‘vertical’ and ‘horizontal’.So the third or fourth time I asked mom the same question, she sighed and smiled at me, thought for a while and said:“When you’re standing that’s vertical. When you’re sleeping that’s horizontal.”And then to reinforce the point:“Now little man 😘 time to go horizontal, it’s too late and you have to get vertical early in the morning.”So I’m sharing a graphic tool for those of you (support editors included) that may occasionally have the same confusion:Vertical is | horizontal is —Best 😉
