long story short we are working with another company and one of their employees keeps changing a public view filter which is screwing up automations. Is there a way to see who is doing it?

Hi Everyone! I’m new to Airtables and am struggling with creating a due date based on a last inspection date, and frequency of 365 days. I need the due date to auto calculate when the inspections are due. I’m sure it’s a very simple formula but I struggling. Can anyone help?

Experienced airtable users, I need some Airtable brainpower to help me sort out the best way to create this table(s) to hopefully achieve what I’d like to do. I think, in summary, what I want to be able to do to achieveis have two tables that can talk back and forth, as opposed to one way, along with table 1 have a way to trigger creation of a record in table 2 and maybe also vice versa. Update: I was able to use Automation, and “When a record meets condition” trigger and “Create a record” as the action for this piece. :slightly_smiling_face: And somehow, I assume by linking one to the other, when I enter a date in “Group 1 Discussed” field of Table 2 - if it’s part of a record that is linked to Table 1 - I’d like that to populate the similar field “Group 1 Discussed” in Table 1. We need people to book a timeslots to present their topic (among available ones of course). We want to open the booking on a quarterly basis. Hi there I want to remove the ability to download CSV files to local machines (keeping everything in the cloud) but I still want to be able to copy data from my airtable database. There is no default option to do this. I can see if I turn off the Download CSV it automatically disables Copy too. This isn’t helpful if you’re trying to keep data in the cloud while still being able to use the information. Any tips anyone? Or is this a setting that can be added. All the best

Hi all, I am trying to use the automation feature to create 4 new records in my table at the start of each month. I would like to use the month the records are created as part of the record name, written out alphabetically, follow by some custom text. For instance, the records automatically created in November would read “November Totals” I currently have the trigger set to…“Trigger type: At a scheduled time” —> “Interval Type: Months” —> “Timing: Every 1 month on the 1st at 12am” —> “Starting: Today” For the action i currently have… “Action: Create Record” —> “Table: Totals” —> “Field: Monthly Report” When i select next trigger time and run a test, it creates a record that reads “2021-11-01T06:00:00.000Z”. I tried using datetime_format() to no avail. Am i able to create a custom text using the created date using this automation?

Hi everyone I would like to know if anyone has a solution to make attachments in Airtable private. Looks like all attachments hosted in Airtable are public. I have a Bubble App that is private and uses Airtable as a database, I wish that users outside the app or not logged couldn’t see images hosted in my Airtable base. Thanks

I have a date field (Publication Date) and a negative number field (Days) for the amount of days before that content is usually submitted for that publicaiton. I’m using the following formula to get the submission date, avoiding weekends, which works. DATETIME_FORMAT(WORKDAY({Publication Date},Days),'D/M/YYYY') My question is, is there a way to use the computed date and Publication Date in a Timeline view? The computed date would be the start date and the date field would be the end date. Thank you! p.s. I was forced to choose a tag and Timeline wasn’t an option so I went with Gantt!

I am trying to see if Airtable will do the Job we need it to do. Basically I am trying to Match up Data from one Organisation (UK) that gets sponsors for Children in Africa, and another in Africa, who has a list of Children that are sponsored on Excel. We are hoping they can use air Table and we can then match with thier Data. The UK org has a Database which links all the donor details and donations to the Child, but essentially needs to export out. CODE: CHILD NAME: SPONSOR NAME: The code is then used to link with the African lists. (currently on Excel) We are having issues because it is not in a Database, so looking for a DB format rather than Excel solution. I have replicated the Database on Airtable and it seems to work fine. However can the “SPONSOR TABLE” be updated from Excel. Ie if we have 100 Sponsorships “CODE 001, 002, 003 etc” and maybe Child 001 gets a new sponsor, is there a way to update the Table in Ai

Each class has a location, company, date, and participants attending associated with each class. Current Airtable setup: One base Tables: Participants, Classes, Companies, Instructors, Campaigns. Question 1: We have 15-30 different clients scheduling classes each month. How can I create a client “portal” so they can add their own participants in a class on their own without having excessive users? Is there a way to make attachments dynamic in Airtable without resorting to links? We’re building out a master project tracker base, and the dream would be to be able to embed a doc draft and move the project in a kanban view through “needs review,” “ready for submission,” and “complete” without having to upload multiple attachments and possibly lose edits. Hello, we have been researching and looking into different formulas that would allow us to highlight duplicates. We are looking to add a formula like this How to Highlight Duplicates in Google Sheets but for AirTable. However, we have yet to add or find any successful formulas that will highlight any duplicates automatically if they are added. Is there any documentation that can help point us in the right direction? So that we can add this to all of our tables.

I want to limit the number of times they can access the link to the template and create additional copies to share without my permission. Barring changing the link again and again, is there any way to limit the number of times a person can copy a base and/or a way to see if a person has accessed the link excessively?

Hi all, Have anyone noticed, after the release of the newest IOS 6.6 version in Oct 26th, 2021, there is no dynamic list after inserting “@” to tag someone? You have to manually spell their name instead of just inserting “@” and selecting their names from the list.

When trying to restore 4996 deleted records from a single table, we are getting “An error has occurred” message and nothing is restored. Is it because of some Airtable records number restoration limit or what else we can try to make it work? It is essential to restore the original records due to the number of linked/synced tables, bases, apps and everything. Using restoration from a snapshot would be a nightmare. Hi all, I’ve been racking my brains all morning trying to figure out a formula for a table and could do with some assistance! What I’m hoping to achieve if a traffic light system. If a record isn’t uploaded to YouTube or shared on Youtube, the field displays a red emoji, if a record is uploaded but not shared, it displays an amber emoji and if the video is uploaded and shared, it displays a green emoji. Can an IF statement be used across 2 fields? What I am essentially looking for is an IF Contains formula! I got a certain portion of the way to an answer however, my formula was only working if the ONLY value in a field was YouTube (i.e no Facebook, Twitter) If anyone could offer any assistance, I would greatly appreciate it! I can only use Airtable if I can prevent copying, downloading, sharing, printing. It seems that in testing that our mac user could print and print to pdf even though it is restricted. Thanks!

I am new to airtable and dont know how to select particular record like user want record number 5 or 10 or 12 and similarly I also want to implement multiple records like I want to fetch records from number 5 to 15. I want to do all this task by api calls how can we accomplish this?

What I am hoping to create is a database + form (or another way) where I can let people see: A week full of days and timeslots for each day, for example “Monday 8:00pm-9:00pm”. Then, I would like them to be able to select multiple slots. Also, I don’t want slots to be filled or seen busy, but keep the slots open at all times, except for the person who selected them - so you can see what slots you selected and be able to change them Is this possible?
