A brief summary: I would like to create a form with time counting (count how long a person opens a form - start as they opened it, and then end as they submitted it) Thus, I tried create a table with a form [which contained 1field save the created milestone (which will be updated as people submitted the form - Created Time) + 1 Date field which will be recorded as people open the form]. For my form, I prefilled the time with NOW(), but it did not work well (NOW() merely refresh after about 15 mins). I wonder if my explanation is clear enough (if not, just state it, I’ll try my best to present it in another better way). In short, My purpose is to count the open time of my form, you guys can suggest any other solutions if available, or you can help me solve the prefill with NOW () problems. Will there be any impact to our bases if we remove a billable collaborator who created and maintained said bases? If we remove a billable collaborator, will the system delete or alter some of the information tied to their account?

Hi! We have been using airtable for quite a while now. We set-up a form to get applications online from external users, however I noticed just today that when the shared link is clicked it now requires people to log-in despite the share settings turned on. Anyone experience the same issue??

Is it still not possible to use automations to insert multiple records into a linked record field? It works fine when I’m dealing with a single linked record, but not multiple. I can also paste comma separated record IDs via manual copy and paste, which shows multiple linked records, however, I would like to automate this process. When I copy the same string of text into a linked record field via Integromat, or using Airtable’s internal automations (last time I checked), I get an error. This seems weird given that I can copy and paste the same text manually with no problems. Does anyone know of a way to get around this limitation or if I’m doing something wrong here? Thanks!

Hi, I have a workflow that is supposed to attach a pdf from Google Drive to Airtable Attachment field via Integromat. I have tried per record, per blocks of 10 record and per blocks of 1000s of records. The attachements vanish everytime! I feel like I am losing my mind! Did anyone find a solution for this? The problem was mentioned and appeared to be solved here: Attachments uploaded via API vanish within seconds

Good Evening, Today I built a new base for my salespeople that has a table from another base syncing to it. The table from the Source Base (called Mission Control) has lookup fields for three fields - Estimates, Paid to Date, and Balance Due. The Source base (see attached photo of yellow base) has the total dollar values in group header bar. The destination base (see attached photo of blue base) has the same data being synced over but the header bars are not showing the option for the sum of the individual rows below - like the source base. Is this a limitation I am not aware of? I was hoping to have the people working on this base have the same visibility to the totals … Can anyone shed any light on this? I am having a hard time configuring a formula that logically is "If {Date MWS Completed} was between 60 and 30 days ago, then display difference between start date and completion date, otherwise, show a blank. This is what I have and I can’t figure out why it won’t work IF( AND( IS_AFTER({Date MWS Completed},DATEADD(TODAY(), -60, ’days’), IS_BEFORE({Date MWS Completed},DATEADD(TODAY(), -30, ’days’), ), DATETIME_DIFF({Status Complete}, Info, ‘weeks’), “ ”) Any help is appreciated!

I was under the impression that one could not access any of the Dashboards via the mobile app. There is no button to open any dashboard or app under the Android table/phone that I can find. The AirTable app seems to lack this feature. If I try to login via a browser on mobile app, it just redirects to the AirTable app. However, I was following the instructions on creating a sharable apps dashboard (following link) on my laptop. I then decided to see what would happen if I opened the resulting sharable dash link on a mobile browser. The Chrome app displayed the sharable dashboard, read-only, and looks great. Did not redirect to the AirTable app. Does anyone know why one cannot access the dashboards via the mobile app directly, without the above workaround? Maybe I’m missing something …

Hello! I just set up submittable forms for event management to autofill our backend, and I want it to send us an email with the completed form. Unfortunately I configured the form from my personal account and it only gives me the option to have the email sent to me directly, but I want it sent to my organization email. How can I customize where the form submission email is sent to? Thank you!

I am using airtable to coordinate events at a community space and I can’t figure out how to set up the front end with the survey for event booking requests that would go up on our website as the public portal to autofill into our back end. Right now I only have the back end spreadsheet aspect but want to survey portal for people to be able to request events space from the website. How do I set that up? Thank you!

Hi, I have a question, can I make an annual payment for a user? say I have three collaborators on a pro plan. I’d like to make payments for this user on an annual basis. Can I do that? Another question, is there a way to make collaborators pay for their subscription? we are a team and instead of Airtable charging me for the whole subscription I’d like it to be relayed to the collaborators. In your case, the only reason I’m responsible for getting charged is that I created the base (and the workspace) on my account. Would love to know how teams here handle billing. Thanks

Hi everyone! I am trying to create new Grids on my table but I noticed that when I input information for one city, all of what I typed pastes into every other Grid. I was looking around the FAQ and I found this article with the same question but no answers. How do I input specific information into only one grid? Thanks!

When pasting new groups of records into Airtable from Excel, it often overwrites previous records, meaning I have then lost the old records. Does this happen to anyone else and is there a way to prevent it?

Hi, I want to get feedback on an Airtable form that a user has just submitted. E.g. when they press submit, it takes them to a screen where they say what their experience filling that form was - good or bad and then any optional comments. Is there an automation or a way to do so? Thanks!

Hi! I’m a beginner when it comes to Airtable and I want to sync or combine two of my different bases so that I have everything in one place. We have two separate brands that we promote on social media, but I’d like to have all of our content in one space. I’m currently using the free version of Airtable. I used the help article and got the information from one to the other, but when I go to the calendar view they’re still separate and I cannot see each of the posts I’ve planned for the different brands. I hope I’m explaining this well enough for someone to help. Basically, I want to see all posts in one calendar view. Let me know if anyone has a solution, I’d really appreciate it!

Why have snapshots stopped at December 2020 when I am on a pro plan and have been the entire time since the base has been created.

In the Genealogy Collection at the library, we have vertical files. These vertical files are made up of family files and subject/location files (S/L files). We have around 1,000 family files and around 500 subject/location files. In each of these files you will find at least one document but most of these files contains many documents. Our goal is to secure these files. Some of these files contain information dating back into the 1700’s. In adding security, we have scanned all of these files. Our problem is getting this scanned material in a format on a computer that a researcher can research their families without pulling files. In Airtables, we have set up a base for the family files and set up a base for the subject/location files. The column headings are file name, attachment, surnames, S/L files. We entry the file name and attach the scanned documents to this base. What surnames are found in this document? We entry those surnames in the “surname” colu

Hi! I have a workspace with different bases, each of them concerning a specific topic (let’s say “Marketing”, “Sales”, “Communication”). In these bases, there are records which detail the name of the case and the task to do; each record has a Collaborator affected, with comments, deadline, next steps, etc. I precise that in each base, the configuration of the fields is different. For instance, in “Marketing” Base, it is Name - Collaborator - Due date - Comments. In “Sales” Base, it is Name - Collaborator - Reception date - Expiration date - Comments Etc., but some of the fields are common to all base (like Name, Collaborator, Status and Comments). I would like to have an additional base (let’s say the “Master-Base”) on which all the records for which I am indicated as the Collaborator would be linked/synced, so that I could check instantly what are my tasks in all bases, AND (here comes the tricky part) I would need to be able to

Hi - just trying to figure out how to solve the following: have a large airtable with a number of records. Some of this information is in multiple slides of a powerpoint presentation. I was hoping to create (maybe with page designer) a version of the powerpoint slide inside airtable so that any time some of the information changes, I can just copy and paste the new slide into powerpoint. Is this possible? Is page designer the right app? I don’t have Pro yet and before I pay and explore the apps I want to make sure there’s something that fits my use case first. Thanks!

How can I check the edits that an editor has made to a table, before the edits are actually applied to the table, as a security measure? I need to have two to three people remotely work on the edits and updates to a table containing about 700 records. I am concerned that they could easily change some data in error, and I would like to be able to review there edits, before I actually approve the edits, to change the data permanently in the table. Is this possible in Airtable, or with some add on block? Maybe someone has an idea or suggestion? This seems like a common concern?

Hi, I have a date/time field that is used as a field in an automated email using AT Automation. The field is correct in AT but when the email is received the filed is 1hr out. I’m sure it relates to GMT/BST but why doesn’t the filed appear in the body of the email with the same time? Is there anything I can to do to fix this? Regards Jason

Hi everyone, I’m currently running a lot of web dev projects that involve a lot of freelancers. I’m curious that is there any way that we can assign for those members when we assign tasks and they will receive a Lastpass log in(hide password) through their email automatically. And when they finish their work and the project mark as done. AirTable will automatically remove the LastPass login away. If there are any 3rd party app or integration that could help me with this. I’m open to investing in those as well. Thank you all in advance.
