Hi, I’m trying to create a line chart representing a cash flow with Vega Lite. In my main table I have record that are cash transactions with a date and an amount (either positive or negative). I want to display my bank balance for each month: in February I want to have January + February and not only February. Does anyone has an idea on how to do it ? Thanks Here is my vega code: { "$schema": "https://vega.github.io/schema/vega-lite/v4.json", "title": "Solde mois par mois", "width": "container", "height": "container", "mark": { "type": "line", "point": true, "tooltip": true }, "encoding": { "x": { "field": "TECH Cash flow date", "title": "Mois", "timeUnit": "month", "type": "nominal" }, "y": { "field": "Cash Flow (pondéré)", "aggregate": "sum", "title": "Solde bancaire (€)", "type": "quantitative" } } }
I am new to using airtable and I need to create a new view. We use airtable to log annual leave and sickness requests. I need to set up for annual leave requests for 2022 - any tips greatly appreciated
I have an airtable base and a wordpress site. Playiit I want users to somehow be able to mark records in the database as their “favourites”. Ie each user will have a different set of “favourites” to any of the other users. I am not sure how I can achieve this. Can I use the “Use this data” functionality somehow to achieve this? If a user does use the “Use this data” functionality is there some way I can keep their base updated with changes in my base? Any help is much appreciated
I have a Pro plan with Airtable. I cannot seem to find anywhere what it costs to create a new base. We currently have 6 different bases linked to the account. Is there a limit to how many bases I can create? Thanks in advance.
Hi, I have this PDF report (opens a Google Drive link to the PDF) that I need to recreate in Airtable. As you’ll see, I need to set up some sort of if statements to “count these records if its value for this column is this, this, or that” and then summarize those counts in various ways. I am going to try working with COUNT-IF formulas and grouping to show summaries, but I still need to allow users of this base to pull these reports only for certain time periods. I have looked at Page designer, Pivot table, and miniExtensions Form to summarize this data, and I have not been able to figure out what I’m looking to do. Can someone help? (I tried reaching out to the support team and all they did was send me basic intro walkthroughs to the product which were not what I was looking for at all).
are there any examples of scripts that add a new record? i built a script that updates a field on a record when the email exists. now i want to modify it to add a new record if the email doesn’t exist yet. i don’t see any examples and not sure what the syntax is for adding records. thank you!
Hello, Do you know what is the formula to remove text after a coma? I tried to convert the Excel formula LEFT(A1,FIND(",",A1)-1) to something like LEFT({Name of field},FIND(",","{Name of field}")-1), but without success. Thank you for your help!
I’m using AirTable for project management. I have a table that has all of my projects. One of the fields is a tasks field which shows the individual tasks (linked record from the tasks table) which are associated with that project. Is there a way for me to filter which tasks show up in this tasks list? (e.g. if I want to show the remaining open tasks)
I have a form that allows a User - selected first, to then select 8 items individually. I want to make sure the user never selects the same item twice by adding conditional logic, but I can’t seem to do that on a choice by choice basis per user. The perfect functionality would be to say if Form already selected X eliminate it from the choices on next selection and so on. The conditionals only seem to be on the entire table not the form directly. Any ideas?
Using the built in bug tracker template, when ever you create a new row, e.g. by hitting the plus at the end of the table, it gives you a warning that “record moved” and re-orders all your existing bugs. This makes it unusable, as you cant track anything with other people, e.g. can you give me the status of bug number 2. To make it worse, the number of the new bug is random: sometimes it creates the new bug as number 1, and renumbers all your existing bugs, sometimes it creates the new bug with a random bug number somewhere between 1 and the total number you already have, for no apparent reason. a) is this normal. b) is there any way to fix this? New bugs should always have the number n+1, where n is the current number of bugs, and existing bugs should NEVER have the number changed. To make it worse, if you change the view (e.g. by priority or by “all bugs and issues”) tickets get different ids.
I am trying to create a ‘Find Record’ Airtable Task in Zapier that finds a row based on the values in two columns, {USER ID} and {TAGGED RX}. The USER ID should match the value in a previous step and the TAGGED RX should equal 0. This is the formula I am using, but it is creating an error: {USER ID}="{{29838037__user__user_id}}"&"{Tagged Rx}=“0” Is there a mistake in my code? Thanks you!
I’m very new to Airtable and spreadsheets generally. I’m wondering if it’s possible to find a template that I can modify to my needs. I have a touring performing arts company and want to be able to budget more confidently. Our expenses are highest if we just do a “run-out” (one gig) versus a multi-week tour. Some expenses are regardless of how many weeks we are away. We have ongoing expenses (like office space) that we incur whether we tour or not. I’d like to be able to plug in number of days of a tour to figure out my expenses so I know what our weekly nut should be if it’s a one week tour or a 9 week tour with a one week pause in the middle (we’d fly the cast home but put the equipment in storage). Being able to look at a variety of scenarios like that would be so amazing, but I can’t find any templates that seem like easy to modify bases. Might you have some suggestions? I’ve used Airtable for other uses that take advantage of calendar, social media scheduling possibilities, etc. M
Hello everyone, I am trying to use Airtable as a way to automate corporate communication on various social media. The Twitter integration seems to be working fine, but I don’t see anything that would allow me to post to LinkedIn, which is the most important social media I am using. I tried using #zapier “company update” function to create my posts, but I am encountering several issues that I can’t find solutions to. The @mention someone doesn’t do anything. I’m guessing nothing can be done here, similar to Twitter, but it’s worth mentioning. Now to the core part: I would like to attach a video to my file, just like when I post a video on LinkedIn by uploading it. I can’t seem to find how to do that, as the Zapier “preview - image” field doesn’t seem to support video files. Even if I give up posting videos and focus on images, all I can get is for them to appear as “previews”, as mentioned by the field name. This leads to the image being cropped and generally not aesthetic. Is t
Is it possible to save a webpage as a pdf? it doesn’t seem to be possible with the native web-clipper, any alternative solution?
Thanks in advance for the answers. I need your help, please. I work in HR and I have a Safer Recruitment table in Airtable and I have created the form to be sent to new recruits. It asks for a persons details, work history, and educational achievements. For the work history, once they have entered their latest job, it asks if the person needs to add another entry. (Company name, job title, your responsibilities, etc) Now without adding 20 fields for each entry if the person has had that many jobs, is there an easier way to do it. I know that 1 form populates the one row in the table but I am flummoxed how to obtain the multiple entries. Looking forward to your responses
Hi! Is it possible to change the background color of Gantt view? It is set at Gray and i need a brighter color to separate working days and weekends (Yellow would do fine) Thank you
Hi there, I hope you are doing good! I have 15 members on Slack, and on a single-select field in my base. When I create a record, I have to select a staff member I want to assign a task to from that dropdown. The thing is, is it possible to create an automation that sends a Slack message to that particular member, that a task is allotted to him/her? Or should I add my staff members as base collaborators - will it be possible to send a message to that selected member on Slack? Any help is appreciated! Thanks! :grinning:
I keep coming back to Airtable hoping to be able to use it for our customer job booking and scheduling. The one thing that I keep hitting a wall with in any type of platform similar to Airtable is the lack of ability to have recurring records that can generate, in advance or at the time of entering the job, all events in a calendar view. Like how most major calendars do. We currently use CalendarWiz, then import into excel, change columns around, assign customer in a column to match the record etc. 90% of our job bookings are recurring. A mixture of daily, twice weekly, 1, 2, 3, 4… weekly, etc. Is there an easy work around in Airtable if it doesn’t have this option. The view of the jobs at least a month in advance is crucial to organise and plan our routes, workflows and employees in advance. The zap type things I have been reading I don’t think will work for us. Any ideas how to work with this. A template maybe for each type of job entry. One for once off jobs, one for recurrin
Hello, I’m trying to figure out a way to use the API to get all records modified TODAY(). When I retrieve records with the API I can see the createdTime field, but no modifiedTime field though the documentation says it exists. Does anyone know of a formula that I can use to get all records modified TODAY()? Thanks!
I have a master student data that I want to roll up lessons created per student into (on a per-student level). It looks like this The curriculum (lessons) table has data like this: When I create a linked record and attempt to roll it up, only 1 lesson is returned per student (the one that was connected to the student name when I selected the student in the linked record field). Any ideas about how I could fix this, please? Thank you! -Monica
Hello we have a cell in a table which shows different text at the exact same time for 2 different users. The cell is consisting of long text and this is the first time we have noticed this problem. Is this a common problem or just a temporary glitch? And do you know of a solution? It has only happened one time but out of curiosity I would like to know if anyone else have experienced it and if its a known issue?
Hi there! So we have two different airtables, one for clients, and one for freelance workers. The “client AT” is mostly transaction based, meaning per project they sign on its one record. Can be multiple separate records with only one client. There’s one column here where the freelancer’s names are also included as reference. The “freelancers AT” is mostly profile based, from the recruitment department, so its one profile per record. Is it possible to automate linking the client ID to the freelancer’s profile? Like creating a client history per profile. Thanks so much!
Hi Guys, I’m looking to find out if there is a way to get more detailed cards on some linked records I have in my form. Currently it looks like this: Ideally it would be similar to linking a record in the table, like this: Thanks in advance Brady
In this scenario, there are 2 tables. A Clients table and a Marketing Spend list. Each Client has a Status (a single select that can be Lead, Account, Not Interested). The Marketing Spend list have a “Linked to another record” field where we would only want the “Account” clients to be available to be choseen as an option. How would we do this?
I’d like to store a list of links in a table but I find it a lot easier to visualize if I have the site favicon beside each link (as it is in a browser’s bookmark system). Is there a way to do this in Airtable? Thanks!
