Hi, new to airtable. So I have three tables, A. Subjects, B. Teachers, C. Activities. In table A there’s ‘taught by’ column linked to the teachers’ name from table B (there might be more than one teachers per subject) and ‘length’ column of the lesson taught (in minutes per week simple number e.g. 15, 60, 75 etc.). In table C is form submitted by teachers. Linked to the Subject records and contains things like “playing blocks”, “drawing family”, “playing games with family” I’m trying to Show all subjects taught by a teacher in the B table Count the total subjects taught by a teacher in the B table Count the total hours per week a teacher is teaching in the B table Show the count of unique terms/words from table C from the example to get ‘playing: 2’, ‘family: 2’, ‘drawing: 1’ etc. or a word cloud I tried roll up but it always shows 0 and I can’t find the search term of what I’m trying to do.

I added a timer app to a table. Is there a way to attach it to a button in a grid view record to directly start the timer, instead of opening the app area, running the app and selecting the record? Thanks.

Hello, with our team we use a custom app. Everything is ok with the app itself the only problem is that the app window vertical size keeps growing waaaay under the screen so we have to manually make it smaller almost every time we want to use it. At first I thought someone from our team with a large monitor keeps making it bigger but it is so enormous that I think it must be some bug although I haven’t found anyone else (apart from our team) to have this problem. Do you have any idea what could be the cause? Either way I consider it a design fault that the app size is shared across the whole team where everyone has different monitor size so that no one can set the app size the way he likes (and keep it that way). Is there any way to change this behavior (or a chance it will be changed by Airtable designers)? Thank you

Hi - I’m trying to help a non-profit organization that accepts membership applications via an AirTable form. As the organization is for military spouses, members routinely need to update information submitted with their membership application. Is there a way a person can update their record with such changes? As it is now, the member updates the form and a new ‘contact’ is populated rather than having the existing information updated. Hello, I need advice. In the United States, an invoice is very different from what the government of the Czech Republic asks for. For our invoice we need VAT identification no. to be included. Also our workplace is named by our department not by our company name, so the invoice and receipt contains wrong name and it’s not useful pour bookkeeping. How can I get an invoice from Airtable with the requirements of the Czech Republic. Invoices issued by Airtable do not meet these requirements. To whom I should turn to if it is not adjustable on the airtable settings? Thank you for your help, Barbora

I have x amount of users which needs to categorize X amount of websites URL’s previews. There is around 300 categories which is predefined and needs to be shown in a searchable or treellike structure. The urls is something i define. It’s important that the website URL is shown in some visual way, the best would be if the user can preview the whole website URL in an easy way so that they can read the content. Can i do this using Airtable?

I set up IFTTT algorithm so that daily summary from RescueTime should be saved to AirTable. It records my daily total time, productive time, and distracting time as a separate column (‘duration’ field with ‘h:mm’ format in airtable) and one row per day. My yesterday’s total time, productive time, and distracting time were 8 h 6 m, 3 h 4 m, and 2 h 44 m, but the AirTable record for yesterday is weird. They are respectively recorded as 1:26 (1h 26m = 86m which may be mis-understood from 8h 6m), 0:34 ( 34 m. mistaken from 3h 4m), 4:04 (4 h 4m = 244m mistaken from 2h 44m) How can I correct this? (RescueTime also sends daily summary to Telegram and MS OneNote and they show the duration correctly. So I believe it is not a problem caused by RescueTime or IFTTT.)

Hi Airtable Fam, How can I ensure that fields from different bases stay in sync? For example: Field C of Table 3@Base1 should be identical (i.e. sending data to) to Field B of Table7@Base2. Values shouldn’t be changing order after they sync otherwise Base2 will be a mess. Thank you

Hi Airtable Fam, I have a base with two tables: Table 1 and Table 2 I want Field C of Table 1 to become the primary key of Table 2 after removing duplicates and while ensuring that Tables stay in sync (i.e. it should become, after eliminating duplicates, Field A of Table 2). How could I accomplish that? Apologies if this is a basic question but I couldn’t find an answer for it in the forums. Best

I’m trying to make my “group by week” formatting easier to understand by showing the date range for the week rather than the week number but can’t seem to get the formula that works in Excel to work in Airtable-- has anyone figured this out? Thank you!

Is there a way to automatically import sales data? We use Square, Zapier and WooCommerce and could potentially add another platform if needed (Hubspot, Mailchimp, etc.), but we want to track all sales (and line items) and inventory automatically in airtable. When a table is synced the field type of a formula is changed to long text (which makes sense). Is there also a way to change it to short text? Long Texts can’t be used in Pivot tables (but results of formulas can). Therefore I’m not able to create the same pivot table in the original and the synced table.

I have 1 base with events for each client and I want to create another base for an overall view of diferent bases calendars. the main goal is to have a calendar with different teams for different clients merged to have a global view of every events that I have with different clients. hope that my question is clear, I will thank you in advanced for all the help.

Thanks in advance for any help! We need to find a way to import multiple icals and then be able to sort them into one of three calendars sorted by priority. For context, we need to find all football fixtures for several teams i.e. Arsenal, Spurs, Man City, PSG, AS Monaco etc. and then be able to prioritise certain games such as Champions League, regular league games, home and away, with the ability to easily move a certain fixture/event to a different priority if need be. The three calendars would then be shared amongst colleagues who can only view these calendars. If anyone has any information about how best to go about this, it would be much appreciated. We have previously been committing these to a spreadsheet with associated CPanel logins and passwords for each domain and corresponding website. It was being used quite a bit for keeping tracking of where our domains are hosted as we have had them spread across several hosts. However due to recording additional attributes against each website (for instance development/production, domain expired, etc) the current system has become a bit unweildly. The other thing is that it doesn’t present the information in the way that everyone wants. Spreadsheet data table has started to become quite wide and someone is going to have to scroll sideways to get all the information they want. Does AirTable overcome these limitations? Can we have multiple views of the data? Would it be easy to search and sort? Is there a data row limitation on the free account that we should know about before we start? Thanks

I’m very new to airtable and trying to do what I imagine should be simple. I just want 7 rows with dates, starting with today, going forward 7 days. I want these rows to update every day so that I don’t have to do it manually. I’d like to be able to do something similar with hours of the day, showing the current hour of the day and listing the next 8 hours in each row. How can I accomplish this?

Hi Airtable Community, For a payroll automation base I’m developing, I need to figure out how to set a payroll date which will be 30 days after the first of the next month or the first of 2 months out, depending on net terms. For example, if someone logs time worked on 11/15/2020, and their payment terms are Net 30, the payment would be due to them by figuring out the first day of the next month, (12/1/2020), and adding 30 days which would be 12/31/2020. If someone logs time worked on 11/15/2020, and their payment terms are Net 60, the payment would be due to them by figuring out the first day of the next month, (12/1/2020), and adding 60 days which would be 1/30/2021 (or so I think). I’m trying to automate this calculation if possible. I’ve set up multiple calculation fields to take the number of the month, add 1, adjust if it’s past December. I have 2 rows in table A, each with a URL. I am linking them to one row in table B, then making a page builder app off Table B to aggregate the URLs into one nifty PDF. However, the links are not clickable on page builder. Is there a way to solve this?

Hello Airtable Community, I have never used Airtable and I am evaluating it to determine if it would meet my needs. I am looking to build a web app (using a no code tool) and am trying to determine the best backend to use. I am planning to build a social networking app. By its very nature, the hope is to gain a huge number of users on the app. The part I am a bit unclear about with regards the pricing structure of Airtable is that, will one license suffice for such a social networking app that would have many users? Or would Airtable require billing for every user? If one user license for the app would suffice, how can someone implement user level permissions, user logins and signups using Airtable? Also, is there a potential downside that Airtable could start to slow down as huge amounts of records (posts) are saved to Airtable? I would appreciate any guidance on my above questions. Thanks!

Just got a notification from Google Drive informing me that if your account is inactive for 2 years, all your data in Drive will be deleted. I’m wondering and haven’t been able to find the answer anywhere, is there anything similar with Airtable? Is my data stored forever, or will Airtable ever delete it, if it’s up there long enough?
