Hi there, Looking for advice on how individual members of our design team can set up their personal views to properly keep track of their own jobs. We are currently filtering by designer We are sorting by status last modified date (tells us when the job was sent back to us) We are grouping by priority: RUSH vs normal However, we seem to be lacking a way that the individual can further order their jobs in a meaningful way, without adding columns or data that will affect the main table as a whole (which is shared with the whole marketing and design team). Is there a way for me to flag certain jobs, and I’m the only one who sees that in my personal view? Is there a way for me to assign a 1-5 sub-priority order or somehow push certain jobs to the top of my list and push others down? That sort of thing. The key here is to have it only affect each personal view. Thanks for any advice!

I’m using the “Find Record” feature inside Zapier. There is a specific “Search Formula” field that theoretically should allow you to query your Airtable Base with specific criteria. I need to be able to update existing fields and create new records using a much more complex form than what Airtable currently offers. I need something more like an old-school multi-tabbed MS Access form, or to be able to view Airtable data through that style of interface. This is for internal record keeping, not client interface. I can’t do it with the available view formats in Airtable, and all of the alternative forms (Word Press, Google, Formstack) seem to use the same simple format as an Airtable form. Each form would correspond to a variety of chemical sampling performed for a client on a given day. I need multiple tabs for different sample types for each, and to display calculated values based on values entered. Is there a two-way on-demand sync with Google sheets or Excel that update Airtable from multiple sheets, and vice-versa? Any other ideas?

Hi everyone, I’m trying to create a page similar to the GDE Directory page (https://developers.google.com/community/experts/directory) where you can filter by regions on the map and see the list of people as blocks below the map. We have the map block working, but not sure how to go about showing them in a list of images below the map. Or even to show them on the map but not with all the data, so I need to hide some fields. Is there a way to do this or will this require writing a custom script? Is there something that already exists? Is there someone that is familiar with this and willing to create it as a quick freelance project? Thank you!

Hello! I’ve been using Airtable for some months but now, I need to get deeper! I have 3 tables. Opportunities - hundreds of products Customers - hundreds of them Matching Today, when a customer is interested in an opportunity, I fill a record within the customer line. I would like to build a pipeline (kanban) with a unique that allows me to make a followup on every opportunity that matched with a client. I’ve used automation that works fine when there’s only a match by opportunity. When there are more than one, no line is created. You will find below an example of my current CRM. Is possible to create a new id that represented every matched ? Thanks for your help!

Good morning, I am pretty new to airtable and am trying to find a way to save a subgroup (using filters) of my main table as a separate table - Similar to sheets that run along the bottom of Excel. Is there not a “save as” feature? I am using Airtable to organize the grants that our non-profit gives out. Then I want to be able to select some and save those selections - say for a particular school, or a particular year. What am I missing?

I am making a base for food production. I have a tab with all the data on barrels (filling, emptying and so on) and I need one of the views to show only the newest entry based on date but I can not figure out how to do it

Hey there, We built a Mail Merge add-on for Airtable. Check it out! You can send personalized emails based on information in your base. It’s open-source (< 30 lines of Python), so you can edit how the entire add-on works yourself too. Here’s how to enable it: Step 1 Install Blockspring Scripts for Chrome. Step 2 Go to a base. You might need to refresh the page once you get there if you just installed the extension. Step 3 Click the icon in the bottom left to open the scripts editor. Step 4 Import the “Mail merge” template. Step 5 Wait for the template to install. This may take a bit the first time. Step 6 Sign in with Gmail. Step 7 Close the editor then click on mail_merge in your base. Step 8 Fill out the form! Yes I’m new. I have created a base with a table of all sales transactions, one item per line. So for example, an order with 4 different items would have 4 records, each with SKU, quantity, price paid, order date, etc. In the grid view, I’ve got a filter set up to specify an order date range, and I created a group by SKU so that we can see the total sales for each item. I want employees to be able to view the file, set a date range, and print it if necessary. However the filter is not available in the view share, and all roads seem to lead to being at least a full base collaborator to be able to set the date range. That’s too much, um, power. Am I missing something about sharing, or is there a better way to specify the date range?

I use Elementor Pro + Dynamic Content for Elementor to make forms for websites. With it, I can make style forms so that multiple fields appear on a single line and so that there’s less space between lines – which would make the bookseller form I’m creating way less intimidating to my data-entry partner. Can I use the Export feature in my form to get the data into Airtable? And if so, what should I enter into these settings to make it work… ENDPOINT URL: PORT: METHOD (GET, POST, or HEAD): ENABLE SSL CERTIFICATE VERIFY (Y/N): I really hope someone here has answers, because it’s far harder to get support from Elementor and Dynamic Content than it is to get support from Airtable and its community. Good afternoon, I created a duplicate copy of a database I use and excluded all the records. How can I now “send” that database to another person? Obviously, they would need their own Airtable account. I’m looking at the share options and a little confused. I won’t need any access to it upon sharing, I’m basically giving someone a copy of my empty database, for their usage. Thanks

I am considering using AirTable for a project sponsored by the European Research Council. However before making a decision, we need specific answers to basic questions: Does AirTable own any rights to data stored in it? Where are the cloud servers physically located? There are possible issues if data is stored outside of the European Union. What happens to the data should AirTable go out of business? Can data stored in AirTable be made to conform to the European Commission’s FAIR principles? https://www.openaire.eu/how-to-make-your-data-fair Can an AirTable be made open access? I am a bit concerned that I have been unable to find any link to any AirTable site where these questions can be asked of the company itself.

Airtable just updated (at least for me, don’t know if it’s an A/B test) the way you edit field types. Previously, if you double-clicked the field header, it opened a prompt to edit the field name and the type/formulas. Now, if I double click it it only let me edit the name. To change the field type/formula, I have to right-click it and chose “Customize field type”. Personally, I think it was a really bad change and a less practical UX. What do you guys think?

Hi Airtable Friend, I inherited my dad’s small bookselling business (26,000 books) and have been organizing his records into an Airtable base. Jumping ahead, I started googling how to embed a table view of this base onto a website and I can’t find anything that explains how to make this embed searchable and filterable. Potential customers aren’t going to want to scroll through 26,000 book records to find books they want. Any guidance and/or resources would be much appreciated because, without this, I’m afraid all the time I’ve already spent on this Airtable base has been wasted. I do have the paid version, in case that opens up more relevant possibilities. Thanks in advance to anyone who can point me in the right direction!

I have a table (Donation Levels) that lists donor levels: Column A lists the level ( ie: Patron, Benefactor, etc). Column B lists the dollar amount of each level ( ie $250 for Patron, $500 for Benefactor, etc) In our Donor Records table I have a lookup field for the Donor Level that pulls from Col. A, and then automatically populates the Donation Amount by pulling from Col. B. So each time I record a donation, I enter someone’s name, pick the Donation Level and then the amount fills automatically. However, we also have the option for someone to donate an amount that is not listed. If I choose “Other Amount” from Col. A, then of course the Amount that is pulled from Col. B is blank. So what I would love to do, in that case, is to type in the amount. Is this possible?

Is it possible to nest dates from 4 different tables in one column? I have already rolled up dates and linked to other records but I can’t link to more than one table. Anyone knows formula for that or could help me with ideal how to solve this?

Hello Airtable fans, I use Airtable to manage a very large collection of recipes. There are often times that I would like to duplicate large numbers of these recipes so that I may change them slightly. It’s become very time consuming for me to duplicate each recipe one by one and assign a new ID to them. As a work around, I create a CSV with the original recipe info, change the ID and then re-upload to create new records. Is there some other way to do this? Has Airtable ever considered a batch duplication feature? Thanks! Leslie

Automation doesn’t trigger any runs although test goes OK and even performs the triggered action. But after that - no runs I’ve been using Automation for a month, it went good. Anyone has similar issues?

Hi everybody, I really enjoy Airtable but I need help ; I tried to search into the forum without being able to find a solution. I have different tables structuring a kind of OLAP application (entities, customers, Phase, Months, etc…) In a Data table (used to import datas), I tried to merge data by selecting an unique ID created with formula (association of 4 datas). Unfortunatly, Airtable does not allow to select the result of formula as identity My table has significant number of colums and an only selection is not sufficient to make the job. At last, I am not at all, an expert in scripting to automate this process. Do you have any ideas, suggestion to help ? Thanks a lot
