Hi there! I want to create a search tool to embed on my website that would allow the visitors to search in my Airtable records. …is this possible? Thanks,
I have differnt bases for diffent types of leads, like LA leads in one base, NY leads in one base. I Wanna be able to see all the nation leads in one base so as to eliminate duplicate records or do more research because two leads can be of same company and I want the records at same location to quickly do some research.
We want to be able to see the bird eye view of the company information like revenue, profit, comments. company name, employees, etc Kindly let me know if that sorta template exist .
I’m trying to figure out if the “Lightning” symbol synced records will add to the 50k record count.
Hustling bookseller’s back. So I inherited thousands of books from my dad, and he, erm, didn’t have a lot of foresight when it came to the way keywords would be used in searches – especially not on Amazon, which has a standard set of keyword values that are permitted to booksellers. What I want to do is create a formula field that looks at Dad Keyword “AMERICANA #7833” and renders only AMERICANA, leaving off the useful-only-to-Dad random characters. Sometime he’d stick in letters, punctuation – I have no idea what he was thinking (but bless him, he knew how to find good used books). What kind of formula might work here? Thanks in advance to anyone who takes a crack at this!
I’m having a random issue and I’m not sure why. I have some forms in page designer and one of the fields is a formula that calculates today’s date, so when the letter/form is sent it has the right date at the top. For some reason, it is pulling yesterday’s date. I’ve tried refreshing and reloading the page designer forms, the whole website, etc. It still is showing the wrong date, but the formula column on the table is correct. Why is it pulling yesterday’s date? I’ve included some screen shots to show what I mean.
This was brought up a few times over the last couple of years, but it would be nice to have this ability to have this exposed on a form. This adds the flexibility to allow users of the form to add what is needed. If it could be turned on when needed that would be great!! :grinning: Or add another type of single and multi select that would allow this functionality.
Is there a way to query a range of records provided by the API? I’d love to be able to cache the first 500, then load subsequent records on demand. The current pagination flow makes this difficult since the offset seems to be unique to the time it’s called. I’m looking for something similar to this SELECT * FROM table limit 500, 600
Hi lovely airtablers! Just a quick and simple one I hope? How would I create a field that automatically denotes whether a record is a duplicate on a single field only? I have orders that share the same order code and I’d like to know which line items are part of the same order. This duplicate field could be a checkbox or a single text field and should denote all records that are part of the same order code. Any help would be gratefully received. Thanks Claire
Bookseller here trying to survive by listing on Amazon. I have lots of books that are so old ISBNs didn’t exist when they were published. For those books, Amazon offers what they call a “GTIN” exemption. So I have two fields: (1) a single line field called {Product ID}, which contains an ISBN if available, but is, otherwise, left blank; and (2) and a formula field called {Product ID Type}, which needs to contain “ISBN” if {Product ID} is NOT blank or “GTIN” if {Product ID} is blank. I have no idea what might work here. Fingers crossed that one of you do. :slightly_smiling_face:
Today is a HUGE day, and I’m very grateful for all of the hard work that the Airtable team has put into sync. Thank you. Now that this magical day is finally here, I’m wondering what the easiest and most reliable way to integrate a synced table into my existing bases. Currently we have the following (3) bases: Main Base MB - contains source-of-truth table for all projects called Jobs Consultant Base CB - contains information for consultants Internal Base IB - contains information for internal project management Both CB and IB currently have a subset of the Jobs table. That subset table was manually created in the absence of Sync. How do I most easily integrate the sync’ed Jobs table into CB and IB? There are almost 1,000 records in the subset tables in CB & IB that should now use the synced Jobs table instead. Thank you!
Hey Airtablers, I’m trying to create a base that tracks expenses and income, but between a few people. For simplicity, let’s just imagine it’s a cofounder and who just started an online business and we need to track our expenses (a 50/50 split), and our income (also a 50/50 split). For reference, here’s what I have so far: https://airtable.com/shrC0MHyoAl0PJoBV What I’m trying to build is a base where we can easily see and keep track who owes what. At the end of the month, we should do some reconciliation so that my cofounder’s expenses and mine are equal (hence the 50/50 split). I had a similar (working) setup on a LibreOffice spreadsheet, but I’m trying out Airtable for this to see if I can build something a bit more intuitive. (Gonna give the Form view a shot as well so we can enter these expenses more easily.) Ideally we’ll want to do some more advanced reporting as well, but for the time being my biggest focus is: Tracking expenses for the business Recording income for the busine
Hello. Two weeks ago I had introduced two newbie basers. It made me want to create a way to introduce new users to each other and airtable. Yet I wanted to influence people outside of vertical base talk. We are at an inflection point and I want people designing lives, community networks and inspiring each other. So I created an event! 600 People have signed up 14 Speakers 3 Vendors The event will be streamed live (if I can get it to work) and last from noon-5pm EST (GMT -4), this Friday, Sept 18, 2020. Chris Dancy The 2020 Unofficial Unaffiliated Virtual Airtable Conference — Chris Dancy The first and only airtable user conference created by fans, for fans and driven by makers. The only BASE to be Fall 2020! I’m sorry I didn’t post it in the community, I really felt that everyone in the community was pretty well versed at the tool and what I’m trying to do is create a level of community for our communities! With that said, all ar
What time are the free trainings? Are they conducted in EST? I am in CST and would want to convert the time. Thank you- Tracy
I’m trying to develop a short survey that is also functionally a database? So ideally when people enter a longform text answer, they can also add a “category” to the answer that is a single select from a list. Then we need to sort based on that category, so the user sees their own answers sorted by the categories. I can design it pretty well in airtable, but can’t seem to fin a way to connect it to a website or form platform so that a user could use it from the front end effectively. Is this possible? TIA!
The export to PDF creates a very small print chart for a Project of 23 tasks spanning over 6 months. A. Is there a way to save the chart for viewing by all collaborators? B. Is there a way to split the print by dates? I need to be able to share this with my client and team.
Good morning! I just recently signed up for the Pro Version, and one of the main reasons was the Mapping Block. I am totally lost when it comes to setting up the API. Is this something I’ll have to pay for as well? I have no idea how to set this up and what it’s going to entail as far as ongoing use. Any help (in layman’s terms) is very appreciated.
I’m trying to create a “depended on by” column in a gantt that will automatically pull all of the tasks (text field) for which a given task is listed as a dependency (linked field). For example, if task 1 is listed as a dependency for 5 other tasks, I’d like this new field to automatically list those 5 tasks. Does anyone know if this is possible/how to set this up?
Can anyone tell me how to print out my hundreds of poems once I finally get them tagged and sorted into books? They vary in length from 4 lines to 140 lines. Page Designer seems to give me ONLY a fixed height field, nothing automatically expanding or contracting to show the whole poem and nothing to go to an additional page. I found this thread. Is this really a dead end? It seems like content management and printing would be essential features for Airtable.
Can you add a start date and finish date to the left side of the Gantt Chart this is really critical for a easy to read document for projects
Hi there, I’m using the new Gantt Block for product planning. Overall it is great but I’m having some difficulties with sorting. Here is the situation: I have a set of tasks grouped by workstream Each task has a start and end date I have a gantt of all the tasks, grouped workstream The order of the gantt is alphabetical by workstream, rather than by start date by workstream This means that the blocks appear all over the place. Any ideas to fix this so that the workstream with the earliest start date is at the top?
Hey Guys, I see this is a common thread but unfortunately I wasn’t able to find the solution from the answers here. I am trying to create a statement of account on page designer. I will need to upload an entire table from my bases but I can’t seem to do it. I can only insert one record at a time and this isn’t sustainable. What’s the best solution here?
Here is the use-case/workflow: Assume we have multiple workspaces and bases. In the desktop application, when user A wants to share the link to a base with user B, already a collaborator on the base, how can this be accomplished. On this browser it is simple. Copy the link from the address bar and share it. How can something similar be accomplished in the desktop application? The Share button has options that are not required for existing collaborators. Of course, the base name can be shared and that can be searched. But this involves multiple steps. Thanks!
I don’t see the sync related options in my (pro) account yet
Using Airtable Sync, you can sync records from a source base to one or more destination bases. To learn more about using this feature, read our support articles. To ask question about using Sync, post in the Sync community category.
