I have a zap set up to fill in a checkmark but it’s not working. I have used “true” “checked” and “1” and none seem to work. My zap is working correctly and connecting but what I have set up to fill the spot isn’t checking the box.

I have one field that I would like to generate from three other ones: First Name, Middle Name, and Last Name. My current formula includes a space after each cell so that it reads Jane Doe Smith versus JaneDoeSmith. The problem I have is if the middle name field is blank (I always have the first and last name of the person), I get a double space between the first and last name. I’m certain there’s some sort of If/Then formula I should be using, and I’ve looked at online resources, but I’m having a hard time getting it to work (I get the invalid formula error message). Tried this: CONCATENATE({First Name}&IF({Middle Name}<>""," “&{Middle Name},)&IF({Last Name}<>”"," “&{Last Name},”")) Thanks!

Sorry sure there is something simple I am missing - I have a table which is essentially people rating how excited they are about different themes for a summer playscheme for disabled kiddies because I needed everyone to vote the columns are the themes and they have a rating of our 5 for every person who has filled it in - is there a way to create a chart to show which theme has the most votes? On the chart block, I can only find a way to make it from the different people and not the theme scores am I being silly?

Hi. I’m running a CRM with all my contacts, in which I have a “last contact column”. I also have a different table, for meetings summaries. The two tables are linked by the contact’s name. Is there a possibility (probably some kind of a formula), to update the last contact’s date whenever I insert a new meeting summary? Thanks a lot, Daniel

I just tried the Base Schema block, which I think is a fantastic idea. We need a tool to keep track of where fields are used in formulas, table relationships, etc. However, the end results are less than satisfactory. The schema is so tiny that I cannot read any of the table names or field names and I can see no way to enlarge the font or the size of the the picture (even with 150% zoom, I cannot decipher the names of anything). Does anyone have a solution because as it is, it is completely useless to me.

Hello, I am trying to find out if there is a way to create a link, that when you click on it, it immediately brings you to/opens up a different table. For example: I have a main spreadsheet with labels in Column 1, stating the type of promotional item we need. T-Shirts, Coffee Cups, etc. Then I have a separate table for each type of item. So a table for T-Shirts with info on each t-shirt order. I want to be able to click on the word “T-shirts” from Column 1 in the main table, and have it open up the “T-Shirts” table with specific information on each order. I understand how to link so it will show you the records when you expand the data field, but I want to actually GO to that specific table. I also noticed if I try to do this with just a single data field, then it links ALL of the data fields in the column to the same record. I want each record to be able to link to a different table. I hope this makes sense! Please feel free to ask any additional

Hi, With AirTable, can you create a view where you see the details of a single record and a list of linked records for a given field underneath? e.g. As per the above spreadsheet example: I have a Unit that has multiple fields, e.g. course description, learning outcomes … it would link to a Sessions table with multiple records there. Hi, I am trying to add the Maps block to my base. I have followed the 4 steps to create a Google API key and created an API. I have entered the API key in AirTable and correctly linked the address field and created a blank field for the Geocode cache and linked this in the set up. When I enter everything in the set up for the Maps block on AirTable, the maps shows up and says google cannot display map, then the map shows up with ‘For Development Purposes only’ across it and seems to be loading in the top right corner and says ‘3 remaining’ - there are 3 addresses I am trying to map. Any suggestions on why this is not working?

I am looking to create a button that will dial a number in a separate field with Ring Central. The URL I have for a standard dial is “rcmobile://call?number=+16194039535” however I’m not sure how to specify that instead of the number I want it to dial the number that is shown in the {Phone Number} field. I’ve tried various combinations at this point. Any suggestions?

Hello, I am setting up my first timeline block and have a very basic problem: I have a 2-column table: start date | event The Timeline block uses “start date” as the key to map it to the dates in the timeline. Great! However, when I view the timeline block, the labels are the dates, not the event name. Hello, I’m wanting to know if it is possible to add a row when things are added to google sheets. I’ve tried using Zapier, but it doesn’t seem to work the way I want it to. It is not letting me add a picture of it to this post, so here is a link to it: imgur[dot]com/XadQ88y I want to be able to put businesses names in each of the Business 1, 2, 3… sections and their email in the corresponding spot. When I use Zapier, if I put business 1 and business 2 in at the same time, they end up in the same cell in Airtable. I want them to get their own row. Is there a way for me to do that?

I’ve tried to work this both using just the formula and also a combination of the formula and conditional fields (which seems like how it was designed to be used). I have an Inventory table that contains our inventory. I have an Orders table that contains our Orders. The Orders table references the Inventory to identify which item is being purchased. On the Inventory table I’d like to create a field that sums the amount of orders placed against an Inventory item so we can tell when we’re running low. Here I do a “rollup” field that has two conditions and a summation of the values for the formula. The first checks if the order was actually purchased. When I only use this condition, the field sums correctly. The second condition is suppose to take the linked field on the Orders table and check if it is the same as the Inventory Name. Hi, I’m facing issue to import data from a RTF file into Airtable. I tried to convert RTF to XML or CSV but I’ve got data loss (CSV) or the new document is unreadable (XML). Does anybody already managed to do this? Thanks

I’m trying to print a multiple page Page Designer Block in landscape. I have a Page Designer Block that generates a report which contains on each page a record, which contains some static text, some inline fields, and a grid. The pages are set up as 8 1/2 x 11" in landscape. If I print these to either PDF or a printer, they print in portrait mode, making the text very hard to read. This occurs even when in the Print menu I’ve selected Landscape. If I set the printer or Acrobat also to Landscape mode, the first page prints fine, but all the remaining pages are blank. Note that display is fine if I use the Previous Record and Next Record buttons. It’s also fine when selecting Present. How can I get a usable landscape printout? Thanks, Erik

Hello, I’m trying to figure out how to wrap text that’s in a grid view. There doesn’t seem to be any control that allows for wrapping of text. I’m having the same problem with Page Designer as I had within the table itself: linked fields can’t be wrapped and get cut off by the width of the column. Hi all, I have an Airtable that has individual movies for rows, and asset types for columns (for example: artwork, title card, etc.). The options for these single-select columns are statuses that each asset is in: ‘NEW’, ‘REQUESTED’, and ‘PUBLISHED’. I want to create a pie graph block that shows the total number of each across the WHOLE airtable, not just for one asset type. I created a formula column that concatenated all statuses across a row. That might look like: ‘REQUESTED,REQUESTED,NEW,PUBLISHED’. However, using the airtable block for graphs, I can’t break down this concatenation to individual statuses. I could easily convert the concatenation to a multiple select field and make a graph from that, but multiple select field (as far as I know) does not allow for multiple options of the same status. Any workarounds for this issue that you can think of?

I use Airtable to track my weekly services for a company. I would like to automate invoicing by also attaching price associated with the service. For example: Service A = $60 Service B = $240 Service C = $70 Currently, I filter all of the services in the table (filter specific service) and paste a price to all the entires. I repeat this with each service type. What I would like is some kind formula or something whereby I can set what Service A, B, and C cost so that the price automatically appears in the field next to the service column. At the bottom, I can see the total. I will then use this for invoicing. Maybe creating a new Table where each service rate is defined and then somehow connecting this rate to the “Service Log” table?

Hello! I wonder if you might give us some way of offsetting the “Q1”, “Q2”, etc markers on the Gantt timeline, to support a fiscal year that does not match the calendar year. Or, if not that, to hide the markers altogether. I realize there’s a way to use formulas to have fields reflect an offset fiscal year based on dates, but I don’t believe it’s possible to change this header and it’s very confusing for viewers. Thanks!
