Hi, I am wondering if it’s possible to have personal/private fields. We track all of our campaign scheduling/planning through Airtable + reporting and revenue. What we now need is to calculate commission per sales person for each campaign record and have this information be private/unviewable to the rest of the team. Is there a way I can create a field that can only be viewed by specific users? Can it be done via a locked/personal view maybe or would this person need to create their own private base and then copy and paste the information across to it? Thanks, Rachel

Hi! Using the Summary Block, Under Summary Type, we will be able to get the sum of the deals we have won. However, what we want to display on the summary block is the amount needed for us to achieve the goal for the year/ month. Is it possible to display $X - instead of just ? Thanks!

Hey there! I’m still relatively new to AirTable, but I have grand plans. I’ll try to explain this simply, if I can. I have a table full of a list of rooms that I provide support to. These rooms have equipment in them that needs to be refreshed occasionally and relies on standard packages to do so. These packages often share several items across them, but sometimes in different quantities. What I have figured out: Created the table with a list of items and I can link those items to another table that brings in their summed costs in the form of a package. Link those summed costs to their room on another table. Here is where I am stuck: I cannot increase the quantities of items without it affecting all the items across packages. I cannot seem to export the final list of equipment in any meaningful way. I tried looking at the “Product Catalog” template, but nothing immediate jumped out as a solution.

Hey there, I’m hoping to create 1 “exported” word doc from Airtable using Formstack. I need to use information from multiple tables within one base. I understand that Formstock requires all information to be exported from 1 table, so I have created linked fields. As shown below, my “Vendor-Main View” contains ALL information I’ll want to include in a pre-formatted Formstack document. I’ve linked cells from Documents/Interactions, Brand Analysis, etc to Vendor-Main View and created lookup fields. Here’s my issue: It doesn’t seem like Airtable is able to attribute cells to specific fields. For instance: In my Documents/Interactions tab, I have check marks next to AXA Analysis/Line Review and Items have begun selling. I also have an attachment on AXA Analysis/Line Review. Continuing the discussion from Autofill Task Dates Based on Project Due Date: Can anyone explain how to do this calculation within the script block for record templates? All of the scripts have the user putting in a start date with the task objects being created and calculating the end dates (probably explaining wrong). I am using the PM Script Block 1.2 as my basis for making my template, but I want to do the opposite date calculations with: End Date: user input Days Out: field filled in already Start Date: calculated I am new to script so any ideas, direction, or specific help would be appreciated.

I just started using Airtable as a project management tool. I have multiple employees with multiple projects occuring at the same time. The next step is to build something that can take these estimates for our projects and drive out a capacity forecast. We need some assistance with rolling up the hours estimated between the start and end dates for our projects, allocating those hours to our employees, and then visualizing how much capacity they have vs how many hours they have been assigned to. Does anyone know how to create this field to an existing Project/Task/Team table?

Hello; I was testing out the maps block but it doesn’t seem show the map in the block on the dashboard, but instead says, “Please make this block bigger or full screen”. It works when fullscreened, but the screenshots / video example in the Map block article show it as being visible straight in the dashboard. Airtable - Support

Hi all! I am looking to automatically calculate a sub tasks draft date based on identifying the entire project’s DUE DATE. Let’s say that x project is due on 6/06/20 - I want to then automatically populate a calendar based on that date: ie. Task 1 is (-10) work days from 6/6/20 Task 2 is (-5) work days from 6/6/20 Task 3 is (- 3) work days from 6/6/20 …and so on What would be the best way to do this? Thank you all!

Hi there! I have a list of students in my ‘home’ table but I need a separate table for some of these students that have extra requirements (I’m aware I could have it all in the same table and just filter/group/sort but I’m looking to share this separate table with people who only need access to the extra students and not the others. How can I link the records (first column is Names of the students) between the two tables so I can add Lookup columns for the relevant info I do want to share in the separate table? Been trying to figure this out for a while and couldn’t because it’s not a relationship between two different records but the same one, just in another location. Any help is appreciated!! Hi I’m using Typeform with stripe integration to sell tickets for an event i’m organising. In my form, customers choose differents options trough multiple select questions. I’m adding price of the different options they choosed with the typeform calculator and make the paiement in the typeform by stripe. The informations then get into my Airtable by Zapier, and i’d like to send the customers an invoice from that. I was planning to make a zap from a new record in a view, and send the informations to QuickBooks to create an invoice, but the integration of Airtable -> Zapier -> QuickBooks -> Invoice -> Happyme only works trough line items. I found a topic about creating line items in Airtable, but i can’t figure out how to send them to QuickBooks : Create an invoice with multiple items and various quantities

Hi there - I’m trying to create a Zap that creates a notification whenever a new record is added in an Airtable table. The basic setup works fine and took all of 2 minutes to setup. But the problem is that there are a few important fields in our records that are Lookups from other tables. When we view them in Airtable, the field shows the required data. However when Zapier creates the notification - these Lookup fields show up as BLANK as it doesn’t appear to be gathering the value from the lookup table. Does anyone know some ways around this so we can get the values of Lookups to show in Notifications created via Zapier? Many thanks in advance :nerd_face: (or alternatively any other way to get a simple notification in something like Teams (or worst case Email) whenever a new record is added)

Hi everyone, I’m just settling into using airtable but I’ve been using zapier for quite a long time, so I’m very familiar with zaps. I have two things I’m trying to achieve - I want to setup calendar notifications (it seems that this strangely isn’t an offered feature by Airtable yet?) To do that I noted that someone said it can be done using zapier but I can’t see the zap that would make it happen. Really appreciate suggestions for this. I want to automate a specific email to be sent to a client when a date and time is set in my calendar for a meeting. I’d like the email to take the data from the date and time and add it to the email and I’d also like it to take a date from a different airtable cell and add it into another part of the email. I don’t use a zapier approved email system at the moment (I have my own domain and feed it through thunderbird), but I can use gmail for this (I guess) if I have to (#HateGmail). A

How can i share base and use with out sign in ??

I have a meal plan database. On the first table, I have the meals associated with dates and ingredients for each meal and on the second table, I have the ingredients with a lookup date; which show me a list of ingredients and the date I need them. How can I have this lookup date (sometimes more than one) display in Kanban where each day is a column?

I’m using Airtable as an Applicant Tracking System (far more advanced than the template they give us to start out with) and as part of that I have to send Rejection emails or next step emails. I want to create a sendgird block for each email type so I don’t have to keep changing the subject and content over and over again and I was wondering if I could use the same SendGrid API key to do that or am I supposed to request another API key, one for each block.

I’m a new user and I’ve been very much enjoying setting up my bases for CRM and project management for the past few weeks. It’s working really well for me. I’ve had a sudden realisation though, if airtable has downtime or crashes my entire project management system and ability to have a clue about anything related to my clients and jobs would be gone! #MajorRisk I would like to find out how stable long-term users have found the platform and if anyone has any methodology for mitigating this risk please? Hello, I’m currently trying to take my primary field in a table and concatenate based on what applies. The table itself is pretty basic - using it for client information; i.e. First Name, Middle Initial, Last Name, Spouse First Name, Spouse Last Name, and other basic information. We have some clients where we want the spouses other last name for whatever reasons. What I’m wanting to do is have the primary field concatenate certain information when 1 IF applies, OR concatenate different information if the OTHER IF applies. For Example: IF({Spouse Last Name}!=Blank(), Concatenate({Last Name}, ", ", {First Name}, " & ", {Spouse First Name})) -OR- IF({Spouse Last Name}, Concatenate({Last Name}, ", ", {First Name}, " & ", {Spouse Last Name}, ", ", {Spouse First Name}) My problem is combining those IF statements so that both would apply, so IF it meets criteria of 1, it applies that concatenated formula, or if it meets the criteria of the

I am just getting familiar with Airtable, doing some test driving, so sorry if this has been answered elsewhere and I just couldn’t find it. I would say a vast majority of the Projects we do all use the same tasks over and over. Is there a way to create like a “preset” when you add a Project it just pre-populates a set of all the common tasks? I’d considered just using 1 task that is attached to multiple projects but we’ll track time on those tasks and although they are all the same task they may take a different amount of time to complete. Not to mention, different employees may be completing them so they’d need to be assigned to different people.
