Hello! New Airtable user here, and I apologize if I’m being one of those people who are asking something very elementary. In reality, I’m just looking to see if what I’m trying to do is even possible. I have a base that has been set up with different tabs/tables. To keep things simple, one of them is marked AGENTS (with columns marked Agent, City, Phone Number, etc), the next is marked EVENTS (with columns marked Agent, Event Type, Length, etc) and another marked MEDIA (with columns marked as Site, Agent, Type of Media). I know how to make each table into a form which can be filled out by an “Agent”, so it feeds directly into that table. But is there a way to create a master form which fills into areas of each of these different tables? I hope that makes sense. Basically, we want to provide a form for our agents to fill in, and have it feed into a variety of tables under certain headings. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Hi! Is there a keyboard shortcut to expand a linked record? Or has anyone found a different way of solving this? When interacting with mouse, clicking to expand the linked record is dangerously close to the X to remove the linked record… Thank you! Freddie

I have a form that populates a current base. Part of the form functionality asks the customer which of our locations they are contacting us about. Currently it all feeds to one base, which I group into separate segments by location. But I would prefer if each location had its own individual grid within the base. Is this possible?

I’ve got a table of monthly subscription transactions, and I’m trying to find a way to report on new and lapsed subscriptions. New subscriptions would be a list of new subscriptions from the previous month Lapsed subsciptions would be a list of subscriptions that had transactions two months ago, but did not have a transaction last month. Currently I have to download the table to Excel, run a pivot table in excel of subscriptions along with min and max month for that subscription and then do a second pivot table of months and a count of subscriptions with min month equal to that month (for new subscriptions) and a pivot table of months with a count of subscriptions with max month equal to that month. Is there some way to do this via a pivot table or chart in Airtable?

Hello, hope anyone can help me with this question, I have 4-5 checkbox fields. I will name them for easy understanding of what I am trying to achieve. Checkbox 1 Checkbox 2 Checkbox 3 Is it possible by any means to “lock” Checkbox 2 and Checkbox 3 until the previous one(Checkbox 1) is ticked? And it continues, lock checkbox 3 until the previous(Checkbox 1 and 2) are ticked. Hope I can get some help :winking_face: Thank you

How can I restrict the email field to one (1) particular domain - for example on my form: I only want to accept emails from @example.com how can I restrict any other email domains from being entered?

Hi - new here - this is probably an easy question. I did search the forums but perhaps not using the correct terminology. I am trying to create an aggregate view summarizing data from a form people are filling out on a website. They are selecting from a dropdown indicating their geographical location - there are 40 or so selections to choose from. I then want to count all the people that choose a particular region and display that data People who chose A = 23 People who chose B= 16 and so on… I am close…I have created a linked table based on the selection - problem is that the drop down field can only be a dropdown field (field A) - I cannot also link that field to the new table displaying the aggregate data. So my solution was to make a new field (field B) in the initial table and link that - it works, but only if I manually copy the value from field A to field B. I have added new records to my base, but editors cannot see them and I’m unable to see them when I move over to my mobile app (with the same logins as desktop). This happens sporadically - other records added in the same website session may appear. There is no difference between the records that appear and the records that don’t.

Hi there folks! I’m encountering this kind of issue with one of my private links to a specific view: The view I’m refferring to contains fields with links to records in other tables. When people use the private link to access the view, they’re able to see it, but can’t do anything when it comes to linked fields. I’d like to make them able to click on the linked record and allow them to read all the details of it. Is there any way to do it?

I’m trying to create a Request For Quote & Pricing system that allows a salesman to upload an image and details of a product, sourcing team to add more details and invite 50 suppliers to login and see what RFQs they have and enter their prices without seeing each others’ data. All these prices appear to the sourcing team compiled on 1 sheet. Sales cannot see these ‘raw’ prices. Sourcing adds in a bunch of additional costs some of which are determined automatically based on details from sales’ initial request + a profit margin and send it back to Sales’ initial sheet where they requested. Is this possible in Airtable with invited users only able to see their column in a spreadsheet? Are the 50+ suppliers able to login and enter their prices without me having to pay for a user for each of them?

Hello everyone, I am new to airtable, have been trying out a possible solution for my company for a few days now. Currently I have a table created with all the data I need. I have just created multiple Views with the results I want each collaborator to see and edit. What I don’t want is for them to see all the Views I have created. I know this is not possible(or is it?), but is there any other I could possibly go around it? What I am trying to do is create a database of Cars(car dealership) that are ready to be delivered. But they go through a process(the one I am creating right now). That said, I have a single table with all the fields I need to be filled. I have then created multiple views only showing the data each department needs to fill. I just don’t want collaborators to see or edit all the views. I want each department to only be able to See/Edit their own View. IF this is not possible, what can I do to achieve such results? Thanks in advance, hope

Hi, Does the block-chart respond to the filter settings in the table? I want that my sales chart only show the results of one district, but if I set the filter for that district name the table responds with the filter but the chart doesn’t. Any tips? Robert

I plan to make a database of transactions between users. In that case I can easily reach 1.200 rows, this means only 35 users making 35 tx between each other… this is nothing. Even 50k is too limited: only 200 users 200 transactions each. Am I understanding correctly the “Records” limit? Thanks. Javier Bonet

Hello All! I am new to Airtable…I would like to use the Kanban view to write my email content; however, the order in which I want to write the copy is getting messed up with the ordering of the fields. For example, in the Grid view I added a Preview Text field to the right of the Subject Line field. However, when I open in the Kanban view, the Preview Text field appears down towards the bottom. Is there any way to rearrange the order of fields within the Kanban view? For some reason, I’m not able to add screenshots or links here )-: Thank you, Laura

I want to share a database that I created with other people - not my own personal version with my data, but allow them to enter their own data in their own version of my database. Is this possible?

I’m using a Kanban view. When opening one of the records, I open a linked record from another table. How to I control which fields of that related record are shown vs hidden? It seems random.

Hello. I have an idea of an objective I would like to accomplish using AirTable, but I am uncertain which AirTable functionalities to leverage to complete the desired objective. I would like to be able to use the information I have inputted into several linked tables in a base to generate and export reports, spreadsheets, etc. What is the best way to do this? I know that I can export the information in the AirTable as a CSV file, but, when doing so, all of the linked information is left behind. What would be the best way to generate/export a report that includes all of the information in a given table, as well as the information linked to that table? Thank you.

I have a Page Designer setup for a table, when I change the table to another, all elements has gone! Is there a way to use the same Page to a different table with the same field structure?

Is there a way to initialize fields of type Created Time and Modified Time from existing records of an imported sheet? That way, those fields will be correct for imported records and will be automatically updated as we add and edit subsequent records.

Hi, maybe some of you already faced this kind of need and can provide some helpful insights :slightly_smiling_face: Our team is looking to document feedback we’re collecting in meetings and interviews with clients. We currently have a base that has a Features table (that surprisingly includes all our features, their status, collaborators etc.) and a Customers table (that’s just a list of customers, their launch date, and a link to features they’re requesting). We’re looking to add feedback from customers, that would relate or link to both existing table (to see all feedback on a specific feature, and all feedback from a specific customer), and preferably would include both a calendar of past and future meeting with customers. I would really like to separate each comment so we can see all feedback on specific feature and customers. Thanks
