Hi there, I have 4 tables that are linked - they are as followed: Table 1) People who fills in the form Table 2) Companies (105) Table 3) Research Areas (17) Table 4) Questions (5) I want to create forms that match one company, in one research area, with one question - like; Company 1-105 + Area 1-17 + Question 1-5 - where these variables change, so each form is sent to a person who fills in the form with a specific combination. One person, one combination. So I select the combination (best if it’s automated) and the form only makes it possible to answer the question with predefined options. So the first fields are pre-filled by me - hope it makes sense. I’m new to Airtable. Best, Eva
Hi, is there a way to have a field prefilled in a form AND hide the field at the same time? IMO it should be standard option since most of the time when you prefill a field for users, you don’t want them to even see the field and have the ability to mess with it.
We are trying to setup a notification when a new file is uploaded to a record in a specific table. We have created a new Slack channel to receive these notifications. When connecting with Slack, only a subset of our team’s Slack channels appear. The new channel we just created doesn’t show up. Is this integration working currently? What are we missing? We’ve logged in/out of each app several times and retried but no luck. The new channel never appears.
A few of us have been using the Free plan. I created a workspace. My colleague created a workspace. We added a few other colleagues.Got to a point where it made sense for us to upgrade so one of us purchased the Team plan, for a total of 8 users. So now all of my colleagues are part of my paid plan.After upgrading, I can confirm that I have 8 licensed users. When I log in, the workspace that I created now shows as being part of the 'team' plan, but our other two workspaces still show as 'free'. Why? Those workspaces were created by one of my colleagues that I just upgraded to the Team plan.The pricing is whacked, and having to upgrade my subscription (again) to the higher plan which is more than DOUBLE what I just paid, just to get the admin console, is ridiculous.I also find it very difficult to get in touch with anyone at Airtable. The chat bubble just prompts you to enter your info and it took 2 days for someone to send me a canned response that referred me back to the pricing
Hello,I would like to create an automation where I enter the working hours of the respective month and employee from "Table A" into the column of the respective month and employee in "Table B". (January, February, ...) the whole thing should be done once a month.
I have a form where every month the team leader enters the hours of the employees as follows: Employee 1: "35 hours"Employee 2: “48 hours”. up to 15 employees per team leader. Table A shows me all the hours entered by each employee in each month. All employees are listed in “Table B”. In this table I would like to add up all the hours worked so far. how do I get this done. Employee A can be listed under "Employee 1" in month 1 and under "Employee 4" in month 2. Theoretically, every employee could be entered in the 1st - 15th position. So I would have to add up all the hours of each employee, regardless of whether, for example: the employee is under “Miztarbeiter 1” or “Employee 12” and so on. you would have to tie the hours to the names or something.
Hi there, I was wondering if and how I can make a (prefilled) field in a form read-only. I am basically creating a form to answer a question. The form should be generic, but the question should change. But it should not be changed by the user themselves. I know the field wouldn’t “really” be read only since the user could modify the query string parameter, but that would be good in my usecase to prevent unwanted changes to one of the fields. Thanks!
I have three columns: Email Sent (Yes/No) Date (Sent) I would like to add a fourth col to display the number of days since the email was sent (i.e. Current Date - Date Sent, displayed as Days). How can I write a formula for that?
I’m trying to expand a base we use as a booking system for photography sessions but feeling stuck. In our current system, users fill out an Airtable form with their contact info and select a time slot (field linked to a table of time slots, filtered by what’s still available). That info generates records in the main Appointments table. This system has worked well so far, as we’ve only been offering slots with one photographer at one location. We’ve been offering 30 slots per day and about 3 different dates at a time, so at most the user sees 90 options, which is more than ideal but has worked ok. Now we’d like to offer 5 dates, but more critically, we want to add a second photo station in a different location on the same dates. That means the user will now be selecting a time slot from a field with 300 options, and there will be two slots for each date and time (eg 10A Monday @ Location A vs. 10A Monday @ Location B). The biggest limitation I’m hitting is I can’t add the same field (ti
I set prefill data for certain columns and created form for other fields. On entering form data, new row is created but these prefill records returned empty. I thought new row will contain prefill data regardless of how it is created. I referred this for temp solution: Can I prefill a portion of a form?
I want to give one link to my users that will help them fill out two forms with pre-filled fields in them. The first form would have pre-filled in field called ProgramID. I'd like it to redirect (or have a button to) a second form with the same ProgramID pre-filled. I can't for the life of me figure this out even thought this was a pretty straightforward feature on Typeform. Any one have a solution? I just would really prefer having one flow vs. having to share two different links. Thank you so much!
Is it possible to prefill a form with an attachment field so an image renders on the form? I see this question has been asked twice but no one answered. If possible, it would save us soooo much time.
I've used this very helpful page to be able to export my tables out of air table and into Power Query, and from there into Excel: Sending Airtable Data to Microsoft Power BI & Power Query | Airtable SupportHowever, I'm having an issue that some seemingly random columns aren't being picked up by PowerQuery. I've done this with 5 tables, some have worked perfectly, some haven't. The columns that are missing are different types, sometimes check boxes, sometimes free text fields. I can't work out what the pattern might be, and therefore how I might fix it.I'm hoping someone might have come across the same issue in the past, and know exactly what I'm talking about and how to fix it.
Hi all, We are on the Pro plan, which seems to default duplicated views to personal even if they were originally collaborative. We mainly use Airtable for grid views, though I’m not sure that has anything to do with the issue. I have searched high and low for a setting or option to NOT do this, as we would prefer duplicated collaborative views to stay collaborative, and not have to manually change it each time. Any ideas?
Basically, I'm wondering how to change the fields shown in a linked record field dropdown/select menu.These fields below (Record ID, First, Middle) do little to help me distinguish among similar records.Note that this particular screenshot is of a linked field to a table that is synced in from another base. But my question stands generally, whether for a table«»table link or for a table«»synced table link—what's the best way to choose my own fields to display, if it's possible at all?
Hello! I have a calendar with both all day events and timed events and I am trying to display them both in an intuitive way. The problem is…because some of my records have start times, my date fields need to have times enabled…so I have to arbitrarily assign a start time to the record aka event. But then that stat time shows up on my calendar. I don’t want a start time on the calendar because it’s an all day event. Through a series of formulas, I can create calcualted fields which the calendar references so the events without a end date/time show up as date only and the ones with an end time show up with a time. However, because the calendar view is referenced formula fields, I cannot edit the event directly by dragging or clicking; I have to go into the record to edit the orignal date/time fields. Is there a way for airtable to correctly display all day events without a few complicated formula columns? So they can be editable? Thanks, Nathan
Hi -I'm trying to figure out the best way to display, in an interface, how many events are occurring on any given date, so I can calculate staff needs based on this count.Tables I am working with:Events (Events are made up a series of Sessions)Sessions (Sessions might be 2-3 in one day, and each one has date info, and is linked to an Event)Events overlap a lot, and a given day may have more than one Event occurring, so I want to have a way to look at any given date and see how many Events are occurring. Sessions need to be staffed by one or more people depending on what kind of Event, etc.I know how to group records in various ways in various grids and see the sum count by group, but I can't do anything with this number because it doesn't live in any field. Ideally, I would like to display this "Number of Events per Date" number in a pivot table style dashboard.Am I missing some really obvious way to do this? Would appreciate shortcuts!Rollup? Formula? I'm looking for a way to make accessing and working from an Airtable Task list more efficient.I've got an Airtable base with a table of Tasks that are grouped into Projects. It's been great for prioritizing tasks and getting things done. It works great inside Airtable. But having to open Airtable, go to my workspace, select the appropriate base then view is pretty cumbersome for viewing a To-do list.Is it possible to create shortcuts on my iphone to specific views?Are there ios apps that play well with airtable where I could sync a specific view to a to-do list? (Bonus points if I don't have to subscribe to yet another service)Am I missing some obvious functionality of airtable and making this harder than it has to be?

Dear Airtable,I would like to figure out how to keep the public from downloading my members personal information when I publish in Universe. I need to disable "Copy Base", and I want to disable 'download csv' in each table/grid sheet.I must be missing something simple, assuming Airtable isn't intentionally making public customer data. I have a base of students that I've just shared with my 5 co-teachers as Editors. (We have done this in previous semesters, so this is a clone of a previously used base.) They've received the invitation and can open the base, but two of them have reported that they cannot see any of the records. On my end, everything appears fine.Suggestions? Hi, New to Airtable, I work in Local Government in the UK and whilst I think the product would work well for some projects I need to understand where data is hosted. Under our Government rules any data I store in the cloud has to be on UK based servers. Most cloud providers we work with offer some kind of location specific hosting of data. I cannot find any information about whether Airtable is able to offer this? Thanks in advance
In the last 2 weeks my enter function has stopped.If I open a record and type txt into a cell I used to be able to hit enter and create a new line. This has stopped yet I have no issues with any other software and the enter function when typing txt
