Background information: We are a 25 person medical clinic. We are using Airtable to manage the business operations which consist of a medical team, health coaching team, marketing team, operations/sales team, and eventually a bigger technology team.As my company is growing, I am constantly looking for ways to structure my Airtable database more efficiently. This leads me to two questions.Should I build interfaces for employees to work out of instead of having them in the backend of Airtable? My next question is what are some tips to make Airtable more efficient in terms of keeping things user friendly and simple? Or things I should avoid?Overall, as we bring more people on the team, I want to limit the amount of confusion and overwhelming emotion that any new hires might experience in Airtable training.
I've been designing my own tabletop role-playing game for some time and have been using Airtable as the backbone for all the information in it.One particular element I've been enjoying is the ability to embed an Airtable into a flipbook. It makes for a very effective delivery of information in a modern way: Arq RPG Core Rules

I am working on a database, where I manage data of clients and their youtube channels. I am trying to develop a Finance report automation but for that facing challenges in setting up fields in my table.Currently I have theses tables:TABLE 1: YouTube Channels Table (attached to client table through client ID)Fields are:- Id (primary key, RECORDID())- Name of the channel- Channel id- Client id (foreign key)TABLE 2: YouTube Channel Earnings- Id (primary key, RECORDID())- Name of Channel (lookup field from YouTube Channels)- Channel id (lookup field from YouTube Channels)- client id (lookup field from YouTube Channels)- Date (Date field)- Month and Year (formula field, getting month and year from date field)- YouTube earnings for particular Month (currency field)- Tax Deduction (currency field)- Net Earnings (formula field, Earnings - tax)Now I have grouped the data first with the month and year, and then based on client id. Below is the table screenshot. Now here is my 3rd table: Fin
Hi everyone, I have an issue that randomly just started... Happening.Specifically, I use AT as a task manager for my team. Each team member's personal view is filtered like this:"{Owner is [name X]}OR{Status is Ready for QAAND QA is [name X]}"Both "Owner" and "QA" are user columns. Status is multiple choice. Now, this worked perfectly until last Friday. On Friday, the QA column started automatically populating all new records in the view. This means that as soon as I create a new record, my name is automatically added to the QA field, when I don't want it there. The Owner column works perfectly normally, i.e. not automatically populating with [name X].How do I fix this? It's important to keep the filter so everybody sees all their tasks and we don't miss stuff, and as I said, it worked well until last Friday. 😞
Hello, all,Sort Stack, your prioritizing first mate, is a task management base that I released a little under a year ago. Since that initial launch, I've added several features to the base, a few of which I'd like to highlight below.Due to the somewhat ad hoc way that this base was developed, I don't have a formal change log, meaning that some of the highlighted features may be ones that you're already aware of, so apologies in advance for highlighting any features you've already heard of.New Feature HighlightsDay-of-the-Month Recurrence: For situations where you'd like a task to recur on a specific day of the month, such as the second-to-last day of the month. I added this feature because I needed support for such tasks when I was a team lead. More specifically, I needed the ability to create a task that repeated the second-to-last working day of each month. To implement this without introducing unnecessary complexity, I expanded the functionality of the "Eligible Weekdays"

I work for a small non-profit and one of our programs is a homesharing effort. We try to match people with a spare room to rent with people who are looking to rent a room. I was hired about one year ago to "bring us into the 21st century." They had been tracking everything in Google Sheets and Forms and it was a mess.At first, we contemplated purchasing subscriptions to several types of data management companies, including something like Monday.com, a separate database for finances, another one for client/property management, and CRM. We got a tour of another homesharing group using Monday.com and the man who was leading the tour suggested that if he had it to do over again, he would just build his own using AirTable. I had never heard of AT at that point. But as soon as I began to explore it, I knew we'd be using AT for all of those things. In the last year, with a bit of paid help, I've built a base for our homeshare program, one for all of our contacts (that also handles payrol
We're long user of Airtable, but the iOS application has long loading time, also there is no direct integration between Airtable and ChatGPT.To miss that gap, we made several iOS shortcuts.Save ChatGPT Answer to Airtable - Just start speaking out your question to the ChatGPT, our Shortcuts will send it to ChatGPT, and save both your question and GPT response to the Airtable. You can use it to ask GPT writing long marketing content and all of them will be saved into your base for post-process!Save AI Audio Notes – Our Shortcut will firstly transcribe your audio input, then post-process it with ChatGPT to let AI sort them into a well-formatted notes, both the note and original audio file will be saved to Airtable for your usage. You can use it to capture quick idea, meeting notes, etc.Every function in the demo works 100% well, and there is no any privacy issues. If you're eager to start using these shortcuts, please view our site to get them, thanks!
One of the best features of Airtable is the ability to drag images, files, and even videos (i.e., digital artefacts) right into an attachment field. When you do this, Airtable makes a copy of your image and stores metadata about the image into your base. It also quietly moves the copy of your image to its content delivery network (CDN). The URL to your image has been openly accessible providing a wonderful way to share access to your assets For almost eight years, this has been possible but that’s going to change in significant ways later this fall. Long Time Coming I predicted this would happen in 2019. They warned us then and they are giving you almost a year to make plans. A lot of folks complained here, but this change is most certainly going to happen and it is in everyone’s best interest. Now that Airtable has officially announced new specifications for its CDN, any solutions that depend heavily on images that need to be accessed outside the Airtable UI will probably require tha

Hi all,I'm trying to get the Calendar View to look a little neater, only showing the headers of events without all this unhelpful and bloated extra data showing up. For instance, in Google Calendar the date will only show "David Out of Office", but in the synced airtable calendar view I'm getting this time range, and long link. How do I get rid of that extra stuff? Thanks!
I am using the service for my bachelor thesis, where I need to create a functioning, user-friendly database with music metadata. However before that the studies need a substantiation of why I have chosen this platform and people’s experience with it. So I wanted to ask you some questions about your time with Airtable. You can find it here: https://forms.gle/6TudYxkzwUEKNSbZ8 P.S I admire this community as I have already found a lot of useful information from people with various backgrounds and knowledge
Hey Airtable Community! 👋I've pooled my learnings about Airtable scripting and created something for us 'no'-coders: Airtable Script Helper. It's my first project since OpenAI launched custom ChatGPTs last week, and I'm excited to share it with you![REQUIRES CHATGPT SUBSCRIPTION]🔧 What It Does:DIY Scripts: Helps you create Airtable scripts or edit existing ones, whatever you need.It has been fed with some key considerations/best practices to be mindful for when creating scripts, so it should be better at helping you create scripts than vanilla ChatGPTEven if you have never written a line of code before, you may try it out. I too started using scripts only After ChatGPT was launched. 🙊🚀 Try It Out! Give Airtable Script Helper a spin and start building your custom scripts today. Let me know if you encounter issues and you think it is fixable. Any feedback is welcome. For anything more advanced, I'm just a click away: Vikas
Hello, I am trying to build a base for our vehicles and equipment fleet. This base will hold the maintenance log and the maintenance service schedule for each vehicle. I am stuck with how to move forward in the set up process. I initially started with three tables, Vehicles/Equipment, Maintenance Log, and Maintenance Schedule. I want to be able to plug in formulas that will calculate the next service dates for various types of services (oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotation, etc.) but because we are working with all different types of equipment (heavy duty, UTVs, cars, tractors) I am having a hard time finding a way to systematically implement the same formulas for each piece of equipment. I want this to be easy to maintain for the user and not too complicated, but I am having a hard time figuring out how to link dates versus mileage. I hope this makes sense, but I would love some advice for how to even set up each table and what my primary fields should be for each, I've included s
Every so often someone asks how to format numbers in a string the same way that they appear in a number or currency field. Various formulas have been created in the past (including some that I’ve posted in threads on this topic), but a recent thread prompted me to take another stab at the concept, and I came up with the most condensed formula that I know of for formatting whole numbers. The formula below will currently handle numbers—positive or negative—up to 21 digits long (<= 999 quintillion), though with a single change it could support higher values if needed. IF(Number < 0, "-") & REGEX_REPLACE( ABS(Number) & "", REPT("(\\d{3})", (ROUND((LEN(ABS(Number) & "") + 1) / 3)) - 1) & "$", LEFT(",$1,$2,$3,$4,$5,$6", 3 * ((ROUND((LEN(ABS(Number) & "") + 1) / 3)) - 1)) ) If you want this displayed as currency, change the first line of the above formula to this: IF(Number < 0, "-") & "$" & To change the separators to periods for some other

Hi, Below is my airtable base.I have grouped the records on basis of my product. I want to find the average of qty in each group. The average should be such that total of all qty in a group divided by no.of.rows in that group. How can i do this on Airtable? For eg - THe average of first group is 68/8 = 8.5
I have 2 questions to ask:1st being this:I have 2 tables:1. Revelator Sheet Data2. Client InformationThe "Revelator Sheet Data" table holds the music assets of the clients belonging to our business. To map the assets to the clients (in the client information table) I will use the "payee_id" which is present in both "Revelator Sheet Data" and "Client Information" tables. But I can only link 2 tables with primary fields. The "Client Information" has "Client ID" while the "Revelator Sheet Data" has "Id" as the primary fields. So, when I linked the "Client Information" table to"Revelator Sheet Data" table using client_id, how do simultaneously match the payee_id?For example: Above is the Revelator Sheet Data table. I have linked the client information table using client_id. Now I want that if "Payee id" (in Revelator Sheet Data) and "Payee ID" (lookup field from client information) are similar, the client_id is mapped automatically ie I basically want to map client id based on pay
I am aware that you can pick and choose which fields you want visible in a synced base. However, if you already synced a base, but want to limit the fields that are visible is there a way to do that without having to reupload the base?
