Context: our Airtable account hits the automation run limit every month. I believe we've upgraded to the plan with the maximum allowable amount of automation runs. FWIW: I would pay more for more automation runs, and would pay a lot for unlimited automation runs. Situation: There is a limit/cap on automations that can be run, per month There are a number of different automations based on a variety of triggers, across tables and bases Idea would address these two issues: Cannot currently maintain and/or optimize for a functional account, that will remain under the monthly automation limit, without access to the centralized automation run log Cannot currently troubleshoot or trace an issue when an automation is running, but it's not clear what is triggering it/in which table Thanks in advance for considering.

There greatly needs to be a filter in an interfaces Revision History. It should show as a pill next to the word Revision History, just like the filter pill shows on the new Record List interface. Or it could be next to the bell icon for changing the watching comments option. This way if you are viewing revision history you can narrow in on a specific field(s) to see only those revisions.

It would be interesting that when opening a database, the default interface opens with the layout Overview as a home page, with a text “Create your app”. And that the database is accessible from the current menu. I design templates and sometimes it is confusing for customers to see the base directly, they tend to get stressed, even worse if they are users who do not know Airtable.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Would love if we could add in a personalized onboarding flow for users in the interfaces we're building. Ex. Be able to add in lightboxes that say "What's this?" for new features or if it's the first time someone is opening a base a step by step flow showing what fields are important in the interface. How does is solve the user problems? A lot of user training and documentation has to be created outside of Airtable to help our users understand what is going on in the tool. Looks like an opportunity to Airtable to take part of that documentation process. How was this validated? Personal experience in creating documentation processes and having to screenshot Airtable interfaces to basically do this manually in Miro. Who is the target audience? Interface users and those building interfaces for their organization.

Hi everyone, Pello here from Moonland. As an Airtable Gold Partner, we’ve had the chance to build some pretty sophisticated tools in Airtable, like full ERPs and other complex systems. While we’ve been able to do a lot, there’s one feature that’s still missing that I think could help us build the perfect app: conditional pop-ups. What is the proposed idea/solution? The idea is to introduce a feature in Airtable that allows users to create and trigger conditional pop-ups when a button is clicked. These pop-ups could be customized to display warning messages, confirmation prompts, or any other relevant information before proceeding with an automation or action. How does it solve the user problems? This feature would enhance user experience by adding an extra layer of interactivity and control within Airtable. It helps prevent unintended actions by allowing users to confirm or review their choices before triggering potentially irreversible automations. This can be especially valuable in complex workflows where a simple mistake could lead to significant issues, such as data loss or incorrect processing. How was this validated? The need for this feature has been observed in various user scenarios where preventing accidental triggers is critical. Many users currently have to create complex workarounds or additional fields to mimic this functionality, which can lead to confusion and inefficiency. By implementing native pop-up functionality, Airtable can streamline these processes and reduce the need for such workarounds. Who is the target audience? This feature would benefit a wide range of Airtable users, particularly those managing complex workflows, such as project managers, product developers, and anyone using Airtable for tasks that involve critical or sensitive actions. It’s especially useful for industries like software development, inventory management, and any scenario where automated actions need to be carefully controlled. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this idea. We’re always looking for ways to improve the tools we create, and your feedback could really help. Thanks for reading this post! Pello

What is the proposed idea/solution? would love to be able to utilize groups in a great capacity then permissions. It would be beneficial to be able to assign a group a task in the user column or tag a specific group in the comments. How does is solve the user problems? would prevent having to tag or add multiple users if they are all in a specific group

What is the proposed idea/solution? Automation monitoring dashboard. It would be wonderful to have a way to see all automations currently in progress (sometimes they can get backed up and you need to click through each one to see if there are any that are jammed up / in-progress), as well as list things like the average speed of each automation, automation runs that have failed, etc, and centrally manage logs and alerts related to automations. How does is solve the user problems? Right now this data is scattered, and it is incredibly cumbersome to manage bases that have more than a few automations. Additionally, error messages are only sent to the last user to edit an automation, making troubleshooting a difficult and opaque process. Who is the target audience? Primarily, Airtable enterprise customers or others who rely extensively on Airtable automations to support powerful workflows.

What is the proposed idea/solution? ... The new Rescheduling Logic is a great, and very welcomed addition. To further improve it's use, it would be very helpful to have a 'Hybrid" that would operate as it does with Flexible Logic when you have overlaps, but if a Overlap would not be created, operate as it does with the Fixed Logic. In additional, the Ability to "Pin" a record to a date that is immoveable would be very handy. How does is solve the user problems? ... Currently, the scheduling is inefficient when Using Flexible if a predecessor finishes early, all of my successors do not adjust to show that they can start earlier - it leaves large gaps. If I use Fixed Logic, and a Middle of the chain task needs to move Later, it will adjust the predecessor, because of the buffer setting. How was this validated? ... I can show you. It's a simple base setup. Who is the target audience? ...Project manager and Producers

What is the proposed idea/solution? Feature: A button to run custom logic and navigate the user in the Interface. Example: A button attached to a record view that when clicked does the following: Updates a field on the current record (e.g., update the "work request" (table) status field from "under review" to "approved") Create a new record in a related table (e.g., work orders), populated with any necessary data from the source record in step 1. Navigate the user to the newly generated record, or a different page on the Interface. How does is solve the user problems? This feature would allow for more complex UI/UX workflows and make Airtable a more powerful app-building tool with the Interface feature. Buttons or other UI components that could have logic attached could run logic to mutate data in tables before navigating and updating the UI. Given that buttons can navigate users around the Interface, it seems like a useful feature would be to have some "middleware" logic run when there are button induced navigations. I wonder if this could be done by adding a "Navigate to Interface Page" action to automations or adding a "Run Script then Navigate" to the button actions options. How was this validated? I am building a "computerized maintenance and management system (CMMS)" for my organization and wanted to develop a nice intuitive UI/UX for my staff, especially those that are not tech savvy. I also confirmed that it is not currently possible to replicate this UX with the current options in the Interface builder and Automations. Who is the target audience? Airtable power users and app developers who are trying to leverage Airtable as a low-code app building platform. I am waffling between Airtable's Interface and using something like Glide, which offers navigation actions in their UI builder. ...

What is the proposed idea/solution? Ability to change format date in Revsion history, from 3 months ago to an exact day. Currently user needs to hover on it to see the exact date, which is time-consuming. How does is solve the user problems? I can open the history and see the exact date of the record update, on multiple records at the same time. How was this validated? Other users asking for the same thing - https://community.airtable.com/t5/other-questions/show-history-by-actual-date-instead-of-days-weeks-months-ago/td-p/39443 Who is the target audience? All users
