Via the "hidden fields" button, we can select which fields are shown and reorder them. We can't however alphabetically sort this list. When you have a lot of fields, it would be useful to be able to do that. What is the proposed idea/solution? It often makes sense to use a unique id field as the primary field in a database (for example "customer_id"), especially as linking records requires the primary field to be used. When this data is then displayed within an Interface, many of the interface elements will show the primary field in bold at the top of the record, when most end users would wish to see the customer name for example.  How does is solve the user problems? Interfaces would be far more clear if records could be displayed with more control over if or how the primary field is displayed, allowing databases to reserve the primary field for unique data strings. Within an Automation Script, it's frustrating that we still encounter the inability to update the Single Select or Multi Select field options, with the error returning; "Airtable "Error: Cannot update field config from scripting automation" This limitation forces the user to reconsider the field type, with the alternative solution usually swapping it into a Single Line text field. Interestingly, it is possible to use an Automation Update Record action to do this exact same process, but for whatever reason it's not possible for an Automation Script to execute this very same process. Can this limitation please be reviewed and reconsidered by Airtable Developers? It seems that if I want to use a custom format for my Date field, I need to create a Formula field and use DATE_FORMAT(). Would it be preferable in most cases to offer a 'Custom' option in the 'Date format' menu in a Date field's settings? (see attachment) This would then show a text field where one could input the same formatting string one would give DATE_FORMAT(). Not all tables' first column is important, especially for tables that mainly connect between linked records. I've had a few cases where I was using views in the style of a "help desk" and really wanted to see the number of records that needed to be actioned on. It would be nice to have an optional badge count shown for records in a view or in the interface pages, especially for help desk and similar apps where the views and pages are filtered based on the actions needed to be taken. ... We need a 'Conditional Select' type field to add to forms. This type of single select and multi select question would conditionally disable and 'grey-out' specific options in select questions on forms. It doesn't seem currently possible to do this. There would be many use cases for this. My particular one is that I have a form for view only users to update certain fields in a database for a not for profit or charity music school recording students and musical instruments loaned to them. We need to prevent students resigning but not handing instruments back. The first single select question on the form is "What do you want to do?" which hides/shows various fields on the same form. One of the options is to resign a student. If that student is still holding an instrument, (ie. {instrument ID} is not blank) It should not be selectable, but should still be visible, greyed out so that the user can see they are in the right place and its clear they cannot select that option. An important feature of the proposed conditional select field would be the option to include a warning message when the disabled option is clicked or hovered over, which should allow the inclusion of variables from the source field causing the restriction. ie. in my use case, I would want to say, "{First name} cannot be resigned at this time because records show they are still holding the instrument {Instrument ID}.
