Hello, I've been experiencing some issues with Airtable the past few days and thought the community might further insight into what's happening.Essentially, my base has been loading very slowly and when trying to select a linked record it often times out. When editing other fields (text, date etc.) it sometimes shows the error below. This has also been happening to my colleague, who is on a different network and uses a separate account. The issue happens intermittently but it's causing big disruptions to our workflow, especially when we need to re-enter data because it didn't save before forced to refresh.We've recently integrated our Airtable base with Glide and have also been adding quite a few extra fields (some auto populated and formula-based) as we develop a new website and also sync data across that.I'm wondering if the amount of new fields (particul

Hi Airtable Community, I have an Airtable base for Health & Safety for an event. I have an Airtable form which is populating data in a table called "Declarations" (these come from a subset of our stakeholders). I have a second table called "Inductions", which is being populated via an integration with a Jotform form. This second base includes a broader set of data, but critically everyone who completes the Declaration form also needs to complete the Induction form.I want to create a third table which summarises who has completed which of these forms, using email and/or company name as the common field. I'd also like to check this data and link it against other lists in other bases (eg Volunteers, Suppliers), using their contacts to sync data. I am still something of an Airtable rookie, without coding skills, so looking for an explanation that is accessible please - i want to learn a solution, so i can use it across my Airtable

Hi everyone,We're building a decision-making tool. This tool has tables for Topics, Participants, and Positions – each participant takes a position ('Go', 'No-go', or 'I don't know') on a topic. Each position type is matched with a numerical value: 1 for 'Go', -1 for 'No-go', 0 for 'I don't know'.In the pivot table below, we'd like to display the participant's position in each cell instead of his/her position's numerical value. Do you guys have an idea of how to get this done?Thanks! 

I am trying to learn to use automations to update 2 summary tables so I do not have to keep copying and pasting every time I update a table.Table for new record:  Donations.  Summary Table: Donation Totals Yearly Summary Report.The two table are linked by the Donation Date primary field in the Donations table. The summary table linked field is called Donation Table.Let me summarize what I think I need to do to accomplish this. I need to create a trigger that says When a Record is Created in the Donations table. This tests fine.Then when I create that record in the donations table I need to have an action happen. I have chosen the Update Record in the action. That action is to update the Donation Totals Yearly Summary Report table/Donation Table field with the contents of the Donation Date field in the Donations table. To do that I need to choose the Update record

Just yesterday my automation set up to send a text out through Twilio stopped finding the phone number and putting it in the TO field (see image).Here is what I have already tried:I verified that the user had a number in the field of the failed automation. I made a new field that added the Country code to the phone number and selected that field value (at least I think since I didn't see the "Value" image appear where the last one was.I don't know what else to try. I’m proficient in Python, SQL, and JavaScript/Vue3.js, but I'm struggling to implement this logic directly within Airtable's environment.I want to use these boolean values from the Analysis table to control the visibility of form fields in the Application table. The challenge is that Airtable forms seem to be bound to a single record and don't directly allow dynamic visibility control across tables.Can I use JavaScript or Airtable scripting to dynamically control field visibility in a form based on boolean values from a linked table (Analysis)?Alternatively, would it be easier to restructure the process by splitting the form into multiple steps (e.g., first upload the PDF, then show the relevant fields based on boolean values in the next form)?Any help, pointers, or examples would be greatly appreciat

Hi all,Firstly, apologies if this has been asked / answered before, I had a search through and couldn't find it.I'd like to import a number from an external website and automatically update it when it changes.  Also would I need their permission for this?The website is transfermarkt.com it gives an estimated market value for individual football / soccer players.  I have a database of players, and I'd like the estimated value for each one in a column.Is this possible?Many thanks in advance Barry

I am trying to create a way for people to subscribe to a newsletter. The first form allows them to put in their name and email address. It works fine. I set a field called "Status" to Unconfirmed (as Single select type).I will then have an automation that will email them a link to a form update (with the record_id() etc).  I want the form to just have the Submit button (in which I change the label to "Confirm Email".  I can have the Status field on their for them to select "Confirmed", but I'd rather it be passed in, hidden and changed to "Confirmed", so when they submit the form the status gets set to "Confirmed".So I have the edit form (in fillout), I created the URL id of Status, and I set the formula to "https://forms.fillout.com/t/rBuRDxxxxus?Status=Confirmed&id=" & R

HiI'm really, really trying to love interface forms and the design is much improved but is it really the case that you cannot prefill linked record in the form? I've tried with Recordid and with the name and it doesn't work. Other fields are fine (that I have tried) but not linked records. I believe its also the case that users need access to the base to submit if its being used as an internal form. Can anyone confirm these, are there work arounds. I'm having to abandon them for now and build with old forms 😞  Cheers Jason    

I have the following case history:a base with multiple tables interconnected with each other;I've created an interface form to populate one of these tables;In this interface I have a field that allows me to select a record linked to another table;In this field, again from the interface, I have the possibility to choose only existing records;Is there a way to add, from the interface form, a new record directly from the field with the drop-down list? Directly from table this is possible, but not from the interface form or any form view. Many thanks

Hey all! I'm running into an issue when building a form. I am trying to build a publicly accessible form through Interfaces that also includes population through record linking. For context, this is a form that clients can use to order supplies from an organization. My ideal workflow for this would be; the client selects their Record ID in a linking field, and once they do, an automation pre-fills the form with their usual order. They can then edit it if there's something they would like to add or remove.  I've built the automation, and I've built the form - but now how do I get them to work together? Is this feature not possible? Looking for straightforward solutions before I go down a rabbithole! Thank you in advance for your time and help!

Every week I add about a dozen fields to my base that are the same field type (and only updated to the current date). (The group each week includes the same field types in the group, however, they are not all the same field type, make sense?) For example, Revenue x/x/xx (dollar, integer), Date created x/x/xx (date field), new accounts x/x/xx (number, integer), …etc Is there a way I can do this in a batch as opposed to creating each new field?

Hey all,I recently needed to switch an email automation from "Send email" to "Outlook email," to fix a spam filter problem. Previously, when it was being sent as "Send email," a link at the bottom of the email led all recipients to the record detail view of the submitted record on a particular interface - even though interface links are not currently insertable, and I had to assemble the link myself, it still worked fine.They look like this in the Automation message body, where the parenthetical is the inserted dynamic record ID:https://airtable.com/appxxxxxxxxx/pagxxxxxxxxx/(AirtableRecordID) But now, with the Outlook email automation, the links are broken. Something in the chain is adding two BOM bytes into the link, so it goes to this link instead:https://airtable.com/appxxxxxxxxx/pagxxxxxxxxx/%uFEFF%uFEFFAirtableRecordID Is there a fix for this, or something I'm missing? The only other thing to note is my org uses urldefense

Hey Everyone, I had a question about visualizing data that you recieve from form submissions. We are accepting applications for a program that requires a small team to access the entries and approve or deny. Currently I planned on having them look at the table and expand the view to read their information. This isn’t ideal as the modals are kind of narrow and from an experience its a little cumbersome. For anyone that has used google forms, when you are an admin you can basically look at each form submission in a way that it shows you a view of the acutal form, except with their answers filled in. This was just a more palatable way to look at each. Is there a way to do something like this in airtable? When people submit I get an email that has all of their filled in info laid out, a page like this in airtable would be perfect. I’m new to airtable so I apologize if there is a very obvious solution to this. Thank you!

I am very familiar with constructing a URL to go right to a record based on the record id. Hi,We're currently using the "Scripting" extension on our Airtable base and we have several different scripts that need to be run on occasion. From what I can see, the "Scripting" extension is just a panel where you write or copy/paste scripts.My question would be: is there a way to save/store your custom scripts somewhere in Airtable? (maybe by using a different extension) - as opposed to saving them locally or somewhere else. Thank you,Cris

I found multiple posts stating we can’t create new columns/fields on a base but then I also see posts like the following two where the script looks like it’s calling a create() method. Are we able to create new columns/fields through a script? Does TypeCast only work on Create? What about Update?

I have created a fillout for a registration form. I have a table of people I am inviting, and would like add the fillout button to an email so that most information is pre-filled, and then the registration info updates in the existing line in the table.Please see below - the token is not working - either inserting a formula field or using the button field in the database. I have a form that is submitted daily by members of our team, and due to how the AirTable base was initially set up, it defaulted to GMT when our company is in EST, so when we default to 'todays' date, after 6pm EST it will jump to the next day. Is there a way to set up everything to use EST without messing up the data in our base?

Is it possible to fully automate the creation of new tables in Airtable from a template, via external tools like Make.com or Zapier? Like the Google Sheets "Create Spreadsheet from Template" module in Make.com. I’ve successfully created tables manually using the Scripting Extension, which duplicates a template. However, it seems this process can’t be triggered automatically through Airtable automations or external platforms.Is this a limitation of Airtable, or is there another approach to achieve this?If it’s not currently possible, are there plans to introduce this feature in the future? Automating table creation from templates seems like a critical function for workflows, especially compared to competitors like Google Sheets.Thank you for your insights!

Hello, I have the need for a "staging" environment for interfaces. By that, I mean it would be valuable for me if I could "disconnect" the interface from the underlying data when needed. The idea is to avoid having users see intermediate states of the database while it is being updated. While the read-only interface is "disconnected", users can only see the data just before the disconnection and would see the new state once the interface owner re-engage the connection.
