TLDR: Can you have an automation trigger that is a scheduled date be changed by data in a record?I was telling a friend about airtable and she asked me how hard it would be to have a notification email go out based on data in her record(s). She was thinking about using airtable to define different appliances and systems in her airbnb's, and wanted to define data for an HVAC system (there may be several) that has air filters (of which one system may have 1 or more) and have the reminder be sent after say, 3 months. If she doesn't get around to changing it until month 4, she wants to have the form allow her to say "yes, changed on this date, remind me again in another 3 months" Of course, that's the human talk description, I know it would actually be checkboxes and dropdowns. She may change one sooner if she had lots of clients, but she doesn't want the notification "every 3 months", but rather, every 3 months after her last change.

Hello, I am making a recurring weekly checklist, and I would like the Kanban Stacking view to change with the day. So today is Wednesday, I would like all my Wednesday tasks to be first and Thursday next, and Tuesday to be last. Unfortunately the stacking option only allows for alphabetical order. I’m trying to think of a formula that would be dynamic and would assign the row a “1” if the due date falls on today’s weekday, and assign a “2” for tomorrow’s weekday, and so on. I’m not sure if that makes sense. That’s just one thought, if there is an easier way I’d love to know.
I need to create a simple function that checks a value, compares with it with another value in a record.I have the interface setup and have created a record in the table that the user can update. I have a button that runs an automation to run a script and completes the check. What I cannot seem to do is update the user to say wether or not the check has passed or failed.I cannot use output.text as this isn't available in automations, only the scripting extensions. AFAIK you can't open a dialog box from the automation script either. The only way I can think to achieve it is to add a field to the table called "Dialog" in the table and then update that display that in the interface? But that seems _really_ clumsy.My question isA: Can I run a script extension from a button on an interface? B: Does anyone have a better idea of how to achieve this?
Hi guys!!!I´m trying to set up an automation which could find some records under determined circunstances. Then update a couple of fields and finaly open an Airtable URL which is contained on a field and is different for each record. Everything works quite good, except que the URL openenig which i have no idea how to make it happen. I guess it would be through a script, and should be so complicatyed, but i have no idea how to start. Thank you in advance for your time.
I recently completed my Certification for Airtable Builder. Are there any builder specific certs that are more advanced than this offered by Airtable Academy?I couldn't find any, but presumed some of the aficionados on here might have helpful guidance.Thanks!
Dear Airtable,I would like to figure out how to keep the public from downloading my members personal information when I publish in Universe. I need to disable "Copy Base", and I want to disable 'download csv' in each table/grid sheet.I must be missing something simple, assuming Airtable isn't intentionally making public customer data. I have a base of students that I've just shared with my 5 co-teachers as Editors. (We have done this in previous semesters, so this is a clone of a previously used base.) They've received the invitation and can open the base, but two of them have reported that they cannot see any of the records. On my end, everything appears fine.Suggestions? Hi, New to Airtable, I work in Local Government in the UK and whilst I think the product would work well for some projects I need to understand where data is hosted. Under our Government rules any data I store in the cloud has to be on UK based servers. Most cloud providers we work with offer some kind of location specific hosting of data. I cannot find any information about whether Airtable is able to offer this? Thanks in advance

In the last 2 weeks my enter function has stopped.If I open a record and type txt into a cell I used to be able to hit enter and create a new line. This has stopped yet I have no issues with any other software and the enter function when typing txt

I have a database where the first table is the registrations, then I have four more tables with their own forms. I want people that registered in the first one, to find their name in the other forms instead of filling it out again. So what I need is for the the name of the records from the first table (registration), to automatically populate a dropdown menu in the other four forms. Do you know an automation to do that?
I am working on a service workflow that would require me to send estimates for projects. I can set up an automation to send a single estimate at a time but Im struggling to find a way to send multiple estimate in a single automation to a client with multiple project requests.

I have an API script like the below. I'm trying to script a POST request to the Covve API to parse business cards. Their technical support says "the API does not support passing the file via URL. It only accepts uploading the file itself directly."Is there a way to do this through Airtable, using the expiring URL? Hello, I am trying to sync a view in Jira Server which has over 1000 fields. There are only 7 that I care about. When I configure the sync with selected fields, all 1000 fields are turned on. I do not see way to turn them all off and only turn on the ones I want. Does anyone have any suggestions.
I’m looking at using forms to collect new records for our bases. In my case, that data is then taken via Zapier to our helpdesk. Everything works fine but there is one piece I am trying to make function properly. When you submit the form, the “Created By” field displays as “Anonymous” How can I set that up so it corresponds to a person within the Airtable system, as the “Created By” field is used to generate who creates the ticket within our help desk.
I'm trying to use ChatGPT to analyze written data from airtable surveys, but ChatGPT is unable to access the information from a csv file. Is it possible to connect ChatGPT to Airtable in order to give it access to specific tables? The idea would be to be able to ask ChatGPT questions such as "What are the top 3 things guests enjoy about this trip?" based on the survey responses.
Hi, Did anybody already figured out how you make inquiry of your Airtable base with chatgpt. Very basic example: you have database tracking projects. And you ask Chat GPT (or any other ai model for that matter) - what is the status of project A, or who is responsible for project B, etc.
When a form is submitted it shows the GMT date & time however when an automation email is sent it sent as UTC. Can someone please help me fix this.Thank you.
Hi, I'm trying to update one date and time field {end date} based and on another date and time field {start date}. The catch is the {end date} cannot be later than 10:30PM PST (2024-09-01T10:29:59-08:00).
Can anybody please help and tell me what is the best way to show both mobile and desktop version on an embed airtable I am using for a website , the desktop version looks really good and organized and when using on mobile , it stays as the desktop version and I cannot see all information , it is very misleading and not responsive. I thought that with the paid version I will be able to make things better , I would like to get any support please, thank you !
