Hello, I’m trying to put automatically as primary field the name of the forms where the data came from but I can’t find a way to allow that, even if with formula. Someone have an idea how to that? Here data from my table: Table name: Table1 Compose by these views: Grid view Order form Incident form Purchase form Ask money back form I want to display the name of each form on the “Grid view” as primary field. Is that possible to allow it without to ask the user to field this name on the form?

Why do forms have to be only one column? I need to develop forms that are more complex than all the fields in one column. Any suggestions?

Is it possible to put the fields side by side? Like this… First Name _________ Last Name ________ instead of… First Name Last Name Also, is there a way to make the boxes next to each field smaller? They are really long (like above) Thank you for your help!! Robin

I've been scouring this forum for an answer to a variant of "Convert String to Duration" but alas, no simple answers uncovered!In my case, I have a text field that contains duration as as string such as, "1:30:00."I need this to now be a field that is either a number (1.5), or an actual Duration type field.DATEADD(), DATETIME_PARSE(), DATETIME_FORMAT(), etc. formulas return errors and cannot format this particular representation of time as a string.What incantation of formula language is required for Airtable to do this so I can use this data? I have a weird one: How would I even begin to convert a column that contains duration data formatted as a string like this? I want the final conversion to be a decimal number, but none of the standard DATETIME() type formulas can make sense of it. Help!

I went into Airtable to create a new form, and was pushed to do this in the "Interface view".It seemed relatively straightforward, but I can't find an option to "stop accepting new form submissions", like there was in the normal form view.You can "unpublish" the form, but this leads to a really nasty error message if someone tries to access the link (see screenshot).Is there a solution for this? At the moment I have had to edit the form by removing all of the fields and adding text to confirm that it is no longer accepting submissions.

Hi,I'm trying to display fractions and percents based on a cap/denominator of my choosing. Ex. x / 54.The goal is to help the team know at a glance/status report that we are either at cap or below and by how much exactly. The same need is also needed in that if we're below by 3 for example, maybe 1 is in transition and only 2 is truly missing.I fiddled with columns and formulas a little bit and found a way for a column to display a fraction by having a autocount row and a formula row returning a concat of the {autocount} +"/54" for x/54 but I cannot display that on a dashboard. Also learned formulas can't count records in the table, hence autocount as a workaround.If anyone has thoughts on how to show fractions that would be great. OR display a count of "54" or "20000" without it ruining the table as a last resort, so that I can display a regular count as one field, and that "fake/determined" count as another field next to it.Edit: Also found

In order to keep costs down at our nonprofit, I have it set up so only a few people have paid editing access in Airtable - the rest have read-only access to an interface. They have the ability to create/update/delete individual records with interface buttons that open surveys in Fillout, which is slightly clunky but far better than previous alternatives. I've run into a situation where I'd like to make it easier - our list of contacts. It's huge, and things are constantly out of date, and I am DESPERATE to make sure keeping it updated doesn't become my job. I already have a record review page in the interface so I could add a button to go to survey to update that information, it just feels like there will often be batch updates (everyone at this org got new emails or something) where it would be a lot more convenient to have it feel like a spreadsheet. The more I type, the more I think I should just add an update button here too and it'll be fine,

Hi! I'm looking for an alternate way to display records that are grouped by a "multiple select" field.  As an example, I have records of food items and am grouping by the Food Type field with tags Fruits, Veggies, Carbs, Berries, etc. Some records, such as Cherry will be tagged both "Fruits" and "Berries."  As it displays now, Cherry will be grouped in its own area of both Fruits and Berries rather than showing up in the individual Fruits group and the Berries group.  I realize that having Cherry show up in both groups would mean the single record is displayed twice, so perhaps there's an alternate way of grouping records where the group will show all records with a given tag? I'd love to come up with a solution for this, because it gets pretty cumbersome to sift through many annoying "groups" where multiple tags are used. I just want to see ALL the records with that tag, regardless of any other tags th

For my interface I want a grid view meant for people within my organization with all the fields visible and I want another view of said interface meant for external organizations that only show some of the fields.How do i go about this?

So I currently have an automation set to when it hits 6:00 AM everyday, a record will be created and it will tag the record as backlog (in the status field) and will copy the created field's date and update the name of that same record. However it is always one day delayed. I do not know why this is happening. Here are SS of it happening. Would need all the help I can get. Thanks!

Good afternoon, I’ve got a handful of automations that are triggered by updates to specific fields in a table, and when the criteria match a record gets flagged. I’m seeking a solution for how to get a new automation to run where the trigger criteria are met by existing records when I flip it on. Currently, when I set the automation to run, the existing matching records don’t execute without manually updating them. There are tens of thousands of records in play, I know I could manually trigger it via a checkbox or some other square peg, but the maintenance of it all is becoming a part time job on its own. Is there a mechanism that yall have found which lets this flow more like opening a spigot and less like doing it twice because some records already match the trigger? Would appreciate any insights. I am considering linking back to a specific cell in Airtable. I can copy a link to the cell by right-clicking on it and selecting 'Copy cell URL.' However, this opens Airtable in a browser. I want it to open in Airtable's desktop app for Mac. Please suggest how to do this.

We use a form with our database so that students can post pictures of homework. When completing the form, each student inputs her student ID to create a new record, and attaches pictures of homework. The homework is associated with a specific session. The master table of students and sessions includes a unique “student session id”, but students don’t know it (ie can’t input it into the record). I would like to create an automation that is triggered when a student submits a record to the homework table. The automation would look for all of the “student session IDs” associated with that student ID, find the largest “student session ID” for that student (more recent = highest number), and input it into a field in the record. Can anyone point me to a script that would do something like this? Thanks!

I have both the Teams Plan and the Business Plan. Very often I found that Teams Plan is sluggish and unresponsive at certain times of the day. But I don't get that in the Business Plan. Do you also experience the same? Granted, that the Business Plan is 2x the price...

Hi!I'm trying to create a formula to calculate the number of hours between two date/time fields, excluding weekends. The fields are "Completion Date/Time" and "Writer Claimed Date/Time". So for one example, the Completion Date/Time field is 11/7/24 at 11:10am, and the "Writer Claimed Date/Time" is 10/31/24 at 2:59pm. I am working on in a table whose purpose is to have all aircraft on market & recently sold as a mechanism to build an MLS type system. I am trying to create an automation to delete a record IF a record that is being imported/create whose MSN matches and the Sold Price was filed where as before it might have been blank (signifying the aircraft was available). We manage a vehicle fleet and to make it easy for non-technical staff to add vehicles, I have created simplified interface forms with just the necessary fields (and some optional ones). This is great for adding one at a time, however often we will be adding multiple of the same vehicle. being comfortable with large sets of data myself, it's easy enough to just duplicate the record mulitple times in a grid view, however for users not comfortable with a grid view, is there a way for me to add a dropdown or number field or something to my interface form that will create a number of duplicates equal to the number provided in the dropdown/number field? Or is there another simple way to generate duplicate records? Thanks for any help in advance!

I want to use a form to allow volunteers to register for upcoming events. Each volunteer can select multiple events. Volunteers may also return to fill out the form more than once, as many of them will return for future events. The volunteers will just be members of the general public, not Airtable users.Is it possible to set up my tables and form to ensure the following conditions are met?1. Each volunteer is listed in the Volunteers form once, with a unique email address and phone number for each volunteer.2. Volunteers select one or more upcoming events from a list of upcoming events.3. Volunteers who return to fill out the form more than once can select other events, but the name and contact information they enter is not duplicated in a new record. Only the new events they sign up for are added to the record that already exists for them.

Hi all! Looking to figure out a way to hide certain options in a Single-Select Field for a form. I run trainings throughout the globe and it’s all tracked via AirTable. The list of training dates is getting rather long, and I would like to shorten that list to available dates for users filling out the form. The only way I can figure to do this is move any trainings older than 30 days to another tab, but that is rather cumbersome to have data points in two locations. Any thoughts on how to best solve this problem?
