Hi all,I have met an issue where i've created an interface page that can be drilled down to a record detail. However, although i can see the fields perfectly fine, my team mate who has editor permissions only sees the fields as 'deleted' and I'm not sure what the issue is.  This is what my team mate sees. This is what i see.I have re-shared the interface with her, edited her permissions, created a new record detail page but none of it worked so far. Did anyone else encounter this issue? How did you resolve it? Thanks in advance! 

My colleague and I are trying to build a base where we can compare the payroll data from a csv. file (outsourced data) with data we have already stored in Airtable. We would like to compare the expected payrate we have stored in Airtable to the actual pay in the payroll report csv. file. We are having a difficult time figured out a way to compare two tables within the same base. We are importing a new csv. file into a table every 2 weeks and then we have a second table where our stationary data from Airtable lives and we hope to cross check both of these tables to make sure everyone is receiving the correct anticipated pay and if that is anticipated pay is not aligned with the expected pay then creating formula that would indicate to us that the amounts do not match. We were wondering if there is anyone out there who has any advice for comparing two sets that are on two separate tables but within the same base and creating a way to indicate to us the mismatches? Hello, I'm trying to import csv files into existing tables and wanted to perform upsert/insertion of only new records by comparing it with the records in the existing table.I'm using import csv extension to accomplish this, but ended in duplicate records for some rows. The merge operation is not accomplishing the task of avoid insertion of duplicate rows if its already present in the existing table.Message: Detected records with merge field value "". All matching records will be overridden to match the first matching row.In this case, its neither overriding nor avoiding the row and inserting both two rows with the same value resulting in duplication. The Merge column chosen is unique.Can someone assist with this issue.

Hi. I'm new to airtable, but I have a background as an ERP developer. I'm doing baby steps on my application to see if I can get airtable to help me manage a member-run makerspace. Currently I do it with excel and google forms. Hopefully this is something easy to do with an automation, but I'm very green at present.I have google sheet that gets filled in each time a person fills out a google form, including their photo that is stored as a url to a google doc folder.  When I import the data from this google sheet, I can assign it as a url, but is there a way with an automation to take the URL and add it to the record as an attachment?  The end result is that I want to be able to send out a form to the board members to approve, along with the photo of the applicant, if they submit one. Currently I can do this in google forms, notifying the board via an email, but this is the first step of converting our system to airtable.Thanks in advance.Jeff

Hi, I'm setting up an automation so that a webhook from another app (Instantly) triggers it. Webhook contains 'email', 'label' and other values. The goal is - when LABEL is added, it should create a record or update the existing one.I want to set up the following but so far failed:- After the trigger of adding a label...- If a record with the same 'email' field doesn't exist - create a new record.- If a record with the same 'email' field exists - update the record and its label but DON'T replace the old label - just add the new one in the same field with the old one (multi select)-----I think I managed to set up the updating part (pic below) but I don't know how to prevent overwriting the 'label' field when the record with the same email exists.Any ideas?Thanks! 

I have 2 automations that takes ~2500 new records. The first one clears the link field and links them to their matching records in another table. The second takes all of the ones that failed in the first automation(these failures are due to the imported list having items that dont match up cleanly and need to check another field) and ADDs them to the link field.These work >95% of the time. My issue occurs because so many automations run at the same time and some of these records need to link to the same record in the second table. This causes them to overwrite each other. I would like to find a way to slow this automation down and have it run in chunks or even 1by1 since it doesn't take too long per record. Does anyone have any ideas on how to trickle this automation or break it up into chunks?

Anyone have any experience with geocodeing? I’m working with Airtable and Integromat to try to create a few integrations with location data that I’m collecting in airtable. I’m looking to be able to geocode or reverse geocode any record in a table. I have a webform that will detect and capture gps coords if available, or the user can hand enter an address. When capturing the data I would like to use integromat to to geocode or rervese geocode so that the database contains both gps and physical addresses. Another thing I’m hoping to figure out is how to do route planning, which I believe is possible through the google maps api, given a selection of addresses. Does anyone have any examples or experience here they could share.

I am or was a private Notion user for a long time, but was looking for a DSGVO-safe alternative with end-to-end encryption for a simple database or customer overview. Currently, however, I can not yet implement the idea, which I have in mind. I imagine the following scenario:I have a "customer database" where I can store all customers with name, address and contact details. The respective customers I can assign a "tour", that would be either tour 1,2 or tour 3. Tours because I drive out food and have 3 different tours, on which different customers are waiting for me.It also happens that a customer appears several times a week in the same tour. I would like now that I have created in addition to the "customer database" 3 times the respective tour as a calendar view. In the calendar view I would then like to assign the customers from the customer database to the respective delivery date.What is the best way to do

Table A is a list of customers and each item they bought. I have a Table B where every time a new customer is added to Table A the customer name and a few other columns are added to Table B. If a customer buys something but the customer name already exists in Table B then nothing happens. Feel like this should be easy but can't figure it out...    

I want to add a button field that will open one of two page design extensions, depending on the value in a particular field.  For records with value 'INV' in that field I want to generate one page design extension; for records with value 'ILL' in that field I want to generate a different one. I have created two button fields, one for INV and one for ILL, but I cannot see how to only show the appropriate button depending on whether the record is marked as INV or ILL. I tried a formula field but this didnt work. Any ideas please?

I run a research lab. I'm setting up Airtable to manage purchase requests and inventory. I have two tables:1. Purchase Catalog, with fields 'Item' and 'Current Stock'2. Order Line Items, with relevant fields fields "Quantity' and 'Status'. 'Order Line Items' is a table that represent specific instances of wanting to puchase something. Purchase Catalog represents different items one would purchase. The two tables are linked. When we received an item, I will change the status in 'Order Line Items' to 'Received', at which point, I want the field 'Quantity' (from Order Line Items) to add to the value in field 'Current Stock' (from Purchase Catalog). I asked ChatGPT to make me a script and it looks like it would work but it's not doing anything to change 'Current Stock'. Hello - I'm VERY new to Airtable, though I think I have a basic understanding of databases.  I'm looking for examples, templates, pointers to further help.  Or even the right terminology to use.While I want to create a larger base, I got started with a simple event tracker (types of events, different leaders, different sponsors, etc.).  Now I'd like to expand this to keep track of who has attended AND enable some options for adding the list of attendees and querying.Adding the attendees seems fairly "obvious" - table of people; table of events; table of attendees (people + event).The thing I don't know as is how to make this easy to use - how to get data in easily AND how to query easily.  The obvious thing for data entry is to type into the table or a form.  But what I'd love to be able to do is send an (structured?) email with the event information and list of attendees.  Maybe even forward the meeting invite?And on the query side, I know how to search f

Hi,I set up an automation to create some events in an Airtable table in my Google Calendar (Google Calendar action). This was easy. But I can't figure out how to use the Google Calendar Update action to delete an entry.Since it in the automation says "Leaving selected fields blank will unset them", I tried to update the start/end times with empty fields, but that was impossible. After manually deleting any setting in the automation field, Airtable "repaired" them when I exited from the view.What is the trick?Rgds,Björn

Hi,Being European but from Nordics, I want to have our dates as d.m.yyyy. This is not a built-in format in Airtable. I have therefore used DATETIME_FORMAT(SET_TIMEZONE(date, 'Finland/Helsinki'), 'D.M.YYYY') in some places where user friendliness is more important than elsewhere.The problem is, dates formatted this way do not sort correctly in an interface. I'm using an Airtable form for leads to fill in and want to count a form completion as a conversion in Google Ads.Is there a way to do this?I could use the action of someone landing on the 'thank you' page to trigger a conversion except the redirect to the thank you page after the Airtable form has been completed does not always seem to happen. Possibly because it takes too long and people have left the site whilst waiting for the thank you page to load.Anyone else tracking Airtable form completions as a lead or conversion and worked out a way to do this?

Hello hello!Just a quick question for any tips if anyone has experience integrating Airtable with Squarespace. We're a music education programme. In recent years, we've cleaned up our data and workflows with Airtable. Now, we're upgrading our website with Squarespace and would like to bring it to parity with our data.Specifically, we're looking into integrating our CRM on Airtable with the marketing tool on Squarespace. We'd love to use this as a tool for communicating with our Students and Families.We've used similar tools, MailChimp, Mailerlite, etc., and done these without integration with Airtable.The other things I'd likely look into are the member pages for students and ways for them to find their schedules and resources. All this data is organised on Airtable already!If anyone has experience with Squarespace and Airtable some tips would be appreciated!

Hi thereI have two tables I want to link.One is a table of organisations and the other is an excel file of data that belongs to one specific organisation. Both files are uploaded. (Later, there will be other tables to link to other specific organisations).I can use the + sign to set up a new field in the organisation table. I then select Link to a new record.This is supposed to bring me up the option to select which file I want to link to,.  But every time it brings me up the attached screen shot which doesn't allow me to select an existing file.I've tried it in firefox, chrome and edge with the same result every time.Help!! What am I doing wrong?PS I don't understand how the link is going to go to a specific organisation using this method, but maybe that's the next step I can't get to.Helen Gardnerhelen@thegardners.com.au

Been a long time since I've used Air Table. Having trouble recalling how Linked Tables work.I have two tables, one Table is a list of all checks with primary field being a check number. This is a list of EVERY check related to a bank account.I have another table, that has a smaller subgroup of the first table. These are checks that were entered into our accounting system.  The primary field for this table is also check number.What I need to do, is take the larger group and check to see if the record is in the smaller subgroup, and flag it.  Thus I will develop a list of all checks in Table 1 that are not in Table 2.So essentially, Take each check in Table one, look in table 2 and if that check number is there, flag it.This way I can create a list of checks I need to add to my accounting program.I am a bit embarassed as about 5 years ago I had a grip on all of this, but at my age I essentially have to relearn everything after that period of time.I appreciate all help.  Th

Hi everyone,I have two bases in Airtable: "Employees" and "Projects". Previously, I managed everything in a single base, but I decided to split the data for better clarity. Now, I want to fetch data from the "Employees" table in one base and automatically add it to the "Projects" table in another base using the API.In the "Projects" table, I have an "Employee" field where multiple employees can be assigned to a single project (e.g., Project 1 has Employee 1 and Employee 2). I'd like these employees to be displayed as a list.I already have an API token set up, but I'm not sure how to fetch the data and display it in the "Employee" field so that they can be added to a project. What is your process for troubleshooting automations in complex bases that have information changing regularly?I have an error occurring with an automation that I am struggling to troubleshoot. I can't seem to replicate the error in my testing, which means I am not accounting for/considering an action happening when the base and relevant records are interacted with. I am struggling to identify the issue, as:1) Airtable doesn't instantly notify you of the issue (notifications take 5-45 minutes) - which is bizarre. In a base where there are likely many more interactions with the record in question by the time I realise the automation has failed, this makes it hard to walk back and figure out what conditions are creating the error.2) Record revision histories don't seem to be overly thorough:a) the log doesn't show where an automation fails,b) the revision history timestamps are recorded unhelpfully as "17 hours ago" etc - which makes it hard to determine which revision created an is

I would essentially like to be able to just click a button inside each record when a call attempt is made and have that data go to a new table, separated by date just so we can track daily calls.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I help run a live event production company, mostly concerts and other performance events. I am trying to create a schedule for crewing my events. I want it to be organized by "Event" primarily, then "Position" (think stagehand, lighting, sound, etc) and then I would like to assign crew to each position. I have attached the Google Sheet I currently use for reference. I have already created my crew database as it's own table, as well as a table for events. I am brand new to Airtable so please explain as if I am a third grader. In addition to this, I would like to create a time sheet for each "Event", preferably auto-created when I create a new event, that auto fills with pay, position & crew member from the schedule, and I just have to input hours and then I can print that and send it to accounting. Any help is appreciated.
