Hello.Very new to Airtable. I am a designer working with a marketer for an events org. We are using Aritable to manage all our projects. I need a unique number for all the projects and am wondering if it's possible to auto number across multiple tables in a base, as that is how she is going to organize (tab for brochures, tab for print ads, etc.)I also would like an alpha prefix because we will have another base for another events org that we work on simultaneously.Ideally, I would like to have all projects in both bases just be auto assigned a unique number, but I don't know if that is possible either.Thanks for any help!

Hello,I would like to create an automation where I enter the working hours of the respective month and employee from "Table A" into the column of the respective month and employee in "Table B". (January, February, ...) the whole thing should be done once a month.

I have four (4) columns that are number data fields titled {Trip 1 Miles}, {Trip 2 Miles}, {Trip 3 Miles}, and {Trip 4 Miles}. The settings to the number data fields include decimal places and a screenshot of the settings are attached.Column five (5) is titled {Total Miles Traveled} which is a formula data field that SUMS the total of the number data fields listed above. THE PROBLEM TO SOLVE: I am unable to get the formula in {Total Miles Traveled} to include decimal points in the SUM total. A screenshot is attached. The formula is totaling [26.70 + 26.70 + 9.10 + 9.10] and is rounding the answer to [72] instead of the desired answer with decimal points as [71.60].

I have a form where every month the team leader enters the hours of the employees as follows: Employee 1: "35 hours"Employee 2: “48 hours”. up to 15 employees per team leader. Table A shows me all the hours entered by each employee in each month. All employees are listed in “Table B”. In this table I would like to add up all the hours worked so far. how do I get this done. Employee A can be listed under "Employee 1" in month 1 and under "Employee 4" in month 2. Theoretically, every employee could be entered in the 1st - 15th position. So I would have to add up all the hours of each employee, regardless of whether, for example: the employee is under “Miztarbeiter 1” or “Employee 12” and so on. you would have to tie the hours to the names or something.

I working on a formula that will provide me with 4 different outcomes depending on a products Variance from our target cost of product/FOB. Any products that have a variance less than -5% need to output "Red -5% or More Variance", products with a variance between -1% and -4.99% need to output "Orange -1% to -4.99% Variance", products with a variance greater than -0.99% need to output "Green - Meeting or Exceeding Target", and any products that have an empty value need to return an empty value. I have figured out how to return most of these responses, but I'm hung up on how to return the empty value. Hi there, I was wondering if and how I can make a (prefilled) field in a form read-only. I am basically creating a form to answer a question. The form should be generic, but the question should change. But it should not be changed by the user themselves. I know the field wouldn’t “really” be read only since the user could modify the query string parameter, but that would be good in my usecase to prevent unwanted changes to one of the fields. Thanks!

I have three columns: Email Sent (Yes/No) Date (Sent) I would like to add a fourth col to display the number of days since the email was sent (i.e. Current Date - Date Sent, displayed as Days). How can I write a formula for that?

Hi, I am having trouble creating an automation to update a record in a table. Hi Some of my team are having trouble clearly viewing what days / weeks the records are in within the TIMELINE view as it feels like there should be gridlines or at least column lines, not just the blue 'today' vertical line.Is there a way to toggle these lines on or off does anyone know, or would anyone want this feature too?TIACharlie

I've searched on the community for solutions to combining one field that contains a date and another field with a duration to create a datetime field, but haven't come across any solutions to solve it. I’m trying to expand a base we use as a booking system for photography sessions but feeling stuck. In our current system, users fill out an Airtable form with their contact info and select a time slot (field linked to a table of time slots, filtered by what’s still available). That info generates records in the main Appointments table. This system has worked well so far, as we’ve only been offering slots with one photographer at one location. We’ve been offering 30 slots per day and about 3 different dates at a time, so at most the user sees 90 options, which is more than ideal but has worked ok. Now we’d like to offer 5 dates, but more critically, we want to add a second photo station in a different location on the same dates. That means the user will now be selecting a time slot from a field with 300 options, and there will be two slots for each date and time (eg 10A Monday @ Location A vs. 10A Monday @ Location B). Hi everyone!I created a base for employees in our company with the table where are all information about every employee. I also created a form to update those information if necessary. I prefill all the fields and create a button field so that i can quickly open the form. But somehow that button doesn't work with some of the employee. they were added after I created this button. Hello, I am really thrilled with exploring the features of this new and game-changing Airtable functionality. I think it would be super useful to my team which deals with hundreds of social media posts per month created and edited by several of our departments. To give this a go, I started by creating an interface which would help our education department organize their programs and link social media requests to records another table - I already have all that setup. Where I am stuck on, is on the ability of creating a new record from the interface itself (i.e. create a new upcoming program from the interface where I am browsing the programs). I cannot find an element such as “add new record” or for that matter “delete record”. Do we have to go back to the regular grid-views to add or delete records? Is it possible to add logo in Interface Form?

In the Change Request form I've created, users can enter information about a change request -- item, change type, notes, screenshots, etc -- and then they can use a multiple select dropdown to choose up to four Regions where the changes should apply.I'm using a Repeating group to cycle through the Regions input to create a separate record for each Region. 4 Regions chosen, 4 rows, 3 Regions chosen, 3 rows, etc. Beautiful! The trouble is, it also creates a single row with ALL 4 or ALL 3 regions etc on it. How do I stop that?

I set prefill data for certain columns and created form for other fields. On entering form data, new row is created but these prefill records returned empty. I thought new row will contain prefill data regardless of how it is created. I referred this for temp solution: Can I prefill a portion of a form?

I need my company logo to appear in every record in a table so that I can have it appear on the sales brochure I create in extensions (unless someone can explain how to do this using the static element there but I can't find a way to attach it there).Is there a way (possibly an automation?) to have that field auto-fill with the attachment whenever a new record is created? Thank you
