I am working on my first new version Record Review interface.  I have TONS of detailed Record Review interfaces in the older now-legacy version.... ugh. The old version let me pick a few colors for group background.  But the new one only has "show background color" for groups. Which for me is a very light gray and does not really help distinguish a grouping.  These are complex views so I really need the colors... Any idea what controls the 'background color' that the new interface will show? It seems like that should be able to be picked somewhere, but I cannot fine. And would love to see more than one option eventually!Thanks for the help.   

Hi all, I am wanting to understand if the following scenario is currently achievable and if so, what “add ons” would be required: Ideally I would like to be able to share a “filtered” view with a clients that only shows information relevant to them for a updating various aspects of a project, while the remaining fields which are for internal purposes are hidden. Obviously this can be done by setting up a view and hiding the relevant fields. Only issue here is that when sharing this view a guest can view it and not make any changes (I am amazed that this feature is still yet to be implemented having seen discussions on this topic go back quite a long way). So, the only option is to send this information to Google Sheets (I am aware of various tools such as Airtable Importer, Coupler, Integromat etc that can do this one way). Hello everyone,I'm looking for some advice/best practices for my situation.My company has a weekly report that they dump into an excel but it's just screaming to be formatted as a database. I've started importing the data but there are some glaring issues once it's within Airtable.Currently there is a {Name Field} formatted as "LastName, FirstName", but this field can vary as it relies on human input. I'm struggling with getting these individuals into their own table while also having Airtable recognize these names during the next import without creating fuzzy duplicates.One saving grace is that each name has a unique ID number, and using this as the primary field makes this step very easy, but when we want to link that record in another table, we're unable to search by name and there are over 100 ID numbers to look through.Is there any elegant solution to normalizing data such as this? I have a table of sales orders keyed by sales order number. I often get sent spreadsheets with lists of sales orders with the question "What is the state of these?" I'd like to be able to take that list, enter it, and get the lines back for the matches. I'm struggling with a solution and could use some ideas ... 

Is there a way to tracking engagement within an interface at the record level?I'm building a technology repository of tiles for a team, and we want to be able to see which tools are being clicked on, or which use case is searched the most. The Insights (https://support.airtable.com/docs/using-insights) didn't give the granularity we're looking for on the interface. (We need the distinction between the interface versus the data in the base because Admins will be regularly updating records whereas users will be only leveraging the interface for information.)

One of my fields is linked to another record in the same base. In the form view, is there a way that someone can add a new record, instead of selecting one that already exists? I see this capability for normal fields, but it doesn’t appear when the field is linked to another record.

Hi there, apologies if this is written about elsewhere, I searched and didn’t find many relevant posts. We have two duplicate records created from Acuity via Zapier. One Randall H. and one Randy H. Same person. I changed the name of the Randy in airtable to Randall, but they’re still different records and I’d like to merge all this student’s lessons to be under the same single student. The deduplication extension isn't efficient due to the large number of duplicates we have—thousands in total. Therefore, I’ve created a script to merge and remove duplicate records based on identifying fields.The script runs successfully when I don't merge linked record data, but this approach results in valuable information being lost. Is there a UI to build a formula and get the resulting formula? The formula builder for creating views is useful, but I can't seem to find a way to get the formula out of it.Context: I'm trying to build a formula that filters records by 2 fields, an email field and a date field. What I have so far is: `AND({Notary 1 email (email)} = '${email}', IS_AFTER({Appt Date/Time (date)}, TODAY())` but the Airtable API request fails with a cryptic error: "The formula for filtering records is invalid: Invalid formula. Please check your formula text."

Hi. I'm working on creating an AirTable base with complaints. The form is made with Fillout.I wanted to know if it's possible to restrict access to a record if the user selects a certain option in a single select field. We'll have several people having access to the base and I wonder if I can hide certain records for an user A when a single select field has a specific option chosen.Thank you.

I want to create a form that users can fill out to enter an awards. When they fill out the form, if their company or contact details already exist on the 'companies' or 'contacts' tables, I want them to be able to select this when they search. If their company or contact details do not exist, I want them to be able to enter their details so their company and contact details are entered on to the 'companies' and 'contacts' tables. This I can do. However, on the 'contacts' tables, all contact names are linked to a company on the 'companies' table, and vice versa. On the '2024 entries' table, if you enter a new 'contact name' this gets added to the 'contacts table'. If you enter a new 'company' this gets added to the 'companies' table. However, the contact name is then not associated with the company name on the 'companies' table, and the company is not associated with the contact name on the 'contacts' table. Is there a way t

HelloWe have 2 phases of work:Phase 1 is working on what we call "First Pages." Job sub-status = NEWPhase 2 is everything after that. Once marketing returns the job to the designer, Job sub-status = CORRECTIONSI'm looking for a way to automate the change of the sub-status field from NEW to CORRECTIONS.My thought is to have a field called "FIRST PAGES COMPLETE?" and an automation runs to fill that field with "yes" when the conditions are met. Then, if field = "yes" change sub-status accordingly.I'm having trouble figuring out how to track the proper conditions because I'm looking to track a change between very specific options in the "Status" field. Hello to the community,I have a form dedicated to archiving interactions with prospects. In this form, I select a "company" (which calls the company table) and I select a "contact" (which calls the contacts table).My wish is as follows: when a company is selected, I want the results displayed in the "contact" field to be only the contacts who work there. Currently, all contacts are displayed and appear in the drop-down menu, which wastes time.The contact/company association is well performed in my tables, but I don't see an option that allows me to limit the fields to be displayed according to a selection in the airtable form creation tool.Any ideas?Thanks in advance,Damien

I believe there must be an error in my formula because, after integrating logs to ensure that I was correctly comparing the searched ID with the ID present in the table and the relevant column, I noticed that we have a match, but the formula generates a 'false' instead of a 'true'. Issue with Linking Payments to Attendance in AirtableHi!I’m transitioning from managing a dance school in Google Sheets to Airtable and have encountered an issue when trying to link student payments with their attendance. I need the administrative staff to be able to see if a student has paid for a specific class in the corresponding period (month) when recording attendance, or if they owe for that month. In Sheets, this is incredibly easy, but in Airtable, it’s NOT (or perhaps I’m missing something, which is why I’m reaching out with the hope that’s the case).Table Structure (simplified for this example):Students Table:Fields: Name, Contact Information, Attendance (Linked Records), Payments (Linked Records), etc.Classes Table:Fields: Class Name, 

I am using Make.com - Airtable - Update records. I have 5 different modules all returning the same 404 response,  using the outh accessIt locates the base and the table, searching for the primary IDContacted support, sent links and images. No response yet.After some search, 404 errors apparently show up. Airtable did an update in make.comAnyone else having this problem? How do I base my business on this happing?Thanks in advance   

Airtable Newbie here!  I have an email automation that sends me a reminder when an item in my airtable is approaching the due date.  I want to have a field (due date) appear in the email to be in red, so that it i see it clearly.  Can I do that in Airtable?  If so, how do I write it or where do I write that? Is it surrounding the field name in the body of the email?It should look like this:The records are due to the requester on August 5, 2024.
