I have two numerical values, A and B, that I am using to create a range field. Here is my current formula:CONCATENATE({A}, "-", {B}). So far so good. The tricky part is that not all of the entries have a B value, in which cases the result will look like {A}-. Ideally I would like it to just return the single value from A without the hyphen in this scenario. I have tried using an IF to say IF(BLANK({B})) but here is where I get lost.  Any advice is appreciated! I am very new to formulas... 

I have just started working in airtable and want to make a base for my highschools National honor society to start up a virtual online tutoring service but I am having problems with designing the forms for submission. Currently I have a tutoring sessions table, students table and tutor tables. I want to make a form that allows a student to input their name and email that will go as a record in the student table then link itself to a record in the tutoring sessions table that will have the date and time they want the session that the student will also input in the same form. Is this possible? Also I need some help on designing a way to make it so that existing students don't have to input their name for every form submission and just find it since we already have their names so I can do better tracking on the data. How could I do that as well? 

Hi AllMy apologies if this is too simplistic - I’ve only got six months or so experience with Airtable…I suspect use case doesn’t matter here, since my “issue” is at the record and field level. Here is the scenario:- a form with some fields pre-filled is sent to a Client for additions and updates, is submitted by them, and creates a new record in an UPDATE table, separate from the main, “real” table; Clients often have no regard for “garbage in, garbage out”…- a manual review of the two tables “side-by-side” is performed to make sure data in each field is the type of data expected - both in text and attachment fields- an automation does an “Update Record” on the main table, using the data from the UPDATES table record, hence moving the new data to the Client's existing record in the main tableThe result is that blank fields in the UPDATE table overwrite existing data in the main table. Hi,I'm afraid I couldn't find the correct Airtable documentation on this, please point me in the direction if there ready help somewhere.In an automation I have a conditional logic step. In that I have two conditions to be be met. One is a "type" kind of single select field, which translates to "Mini Day" in this case. This works.The other condition tries to look for text in a rollup field. Here is the problem, I can't get it to work and can't figure out how 'contain' works. In the preview field I can see the text I'm looking for, eg "Digi-Gold", but it doesn't work when tested.Here's a screenshot of the view:I also tried other text strings ('perusmaksu' and 'sessio') but nothing I tried works.What are requisites for "contain" to work? How does it work? Can I use use one condition to find several text strings, e.g. "sessio OR gold"?Rgds,Björn

Hi !I'm new to Airtable and I created a base to help me manage some operations for a car rental company that operates in 2 cities.I have 3 tables with the same single select field (City : A or B) The tables are : Cars, drivers and Missions.The Missions table contains several fields including the city (A or B) and linked records fields to the Cars table and to the drivers table.What I want is In the Missions Table, when I select a city (city A) and then I want to choose the car, it only displays in the list the cars that also have the same city (A) in its single select field for the city, and also for the drivers to diplay only the ones in the same city (A).I don't want to create 2 different tables (one for city A and another for city B) and link the records to views in the cars and drivers tables.Is there a straightforward way to do it without changing the structure of the table ?   

Hi! I created an Airtable to help plan my wedding. I have a table that's for Guests and in this table I have fields for their first and last name and their title (Mr., Mrs., etc.). I created a field that adds all of these fields to create their formal name on the invitation envelope. Right now the formula reads: Title & " " & {First Name} & " " & {Last Name} & " " & "&" & " " & {Guest Name (from Relationship)}  Here's where the problem comes in, for my single guests it puts the "&" after their name, for example, "Mr. John Smith &". How can I fix it so that it adds the "&" for the guests that live in the same household but doesn't add the "&" for the single guests? Hi there, I'm looking to bulk create a handful of training sessions based off an initial kickoff date. I have a table of training sessions and a template table with an offset from the first session. Most trainings run on a regular basis, but sometimes we need to reschedule. For this reason, I need the result to be a normal, editable field (not a formula I can't touch). I am using automations to create the number of sessions I need. I also have an automation to populate the first training session based on a value on another table that will be entered manually. I can't figure out how to populate the subsequent dates for sessions based off an offset. I tried a DATEADD() formula to sum my duration field (the offset) with the original date, but that didn't work. In plain English, if session 1 is today, session 2 will be next week in the same time and place, session 3 will be 2 weeks from today, etc. Any ideas? I appreciate the help!

Hi all,Is there a way to view a breakdown of automation runs by time period (e.g. billing period) and more importantly by base > automation?I want to bring my run numbers down (so I don' have to upgrade) but it's not easy to see which automations are eating into my quota. I know I can see number of automation runs in total per workspace, for the current cycle, but need more detail than this.Thanks! 

Hi all!I'm using an interface to create and update records and allowed to create a new record. My team has been using it for a while and love it, but suddenly the "submit" button disappeared and they can no longer create a record through this interface. It's showing as "deleted field" but it was never a field (it was the setting to allow for creation of the record) in the table and i didn't delete anything... I'm going crazy- how do i fix this? (see attached picture)

I want to create a cash flow table for a month, where the beginning of the month balance automatically or with the help of a formula gets data from the end-of-month balance of the previous month.Manually entered at the beginning of January "beginning of the month", all the rest is automatic.And so on for all months.I have tried to do this with a formula, but unfortunately with no success.I need your help 🙂

ContextI'm putting together a volunteer sign up sheet (an Interface). The sheet goes live at a specific time, and people will be waiting by their computers so they can get the more desirable shifts. Once a shift is assigned, it no longer appears on the sheet (it is removed from the View underlying the Interface). However, it's not immediate. This means multiple people can click a shift's "Pick Shift" button before the record is removed from the view and button inaccessible.I need the first person to click the button — or at least the first click we hear about because of latency — to be the one who gets the shift. Hi there,I am new to using automations and hopeful this is something I'm just overlooking. I'm having trouble with an automation for a "Shift Reminder" SMS.Goal is:1. At a Trigger time find records with a Start Date of "day after" trigger2. Send SMS to associated cell numbers with each trigger to remind of shiftI have no issues if there is only one record returned. The SMS goes through without issue. If there is a second record returned the first record SMS goes through but the second record SMS is ignored.Would be so appreciative of any help! Thanks!

Hi, What I would like to do is simple : When I update a record in table "Participations", I want to check if this record is the earliest (in term of date) record linked to a specific company. If it is, in single select field "Participation active?" select automatically value "active".How would you do that? I have to create a report over a period of time where i have an initial set and every month a new file will be shared where soem rows would be dleetd and some new will be added. How can i create a report of how many rows got added, which got deleted and also update the base file to mark the rows deleted

Hi allI am setting up my product SKUs and need some help to ensure that external users will find matches when searching on front end.I have the following fields; Product SKU IDWidthThicknessGradeConditionTreatmentProfileLength Product Description (all these together)Product Category (for filtering purposes when buyer searching for products) I want all these to be filters so that buyers can search to find results representative of the fields.I want results to appear if I'm searching under Product Description for products in different formats (e.g. searching by Grade before Width) or including/excluding spaces (e.g. 50x25 vs 50 x 25). -Please advise how I can make this happen and if needs to be seperate tables for each filter (e.g. one table for width, one for thickness etc) or if I should have all these filters in one table with multiple fields. -Also do you know if Softr is any better for Search Functionality than Airtable as I cant get matches in Airtable unle

I am currently in the process of using Airtable to build a new shipping schedule. I have grid view set up so it is grouped by delivery date because it is very important for management to be able to quickly see how many pools are scheduled to ship out on any given day. The problem is that when an order is canceled, it still appears in the count. Is there any way to exclude certain records from being included in that count? Thank you.
