I have an automation triggered by a record matches condition which is linked to a formula field. The automation executes a Script step after which updates fields that in turn reset the trigger field to "0". However  once the trigger condition is TRUE i get multiple executions of the automation in my automation log. Why?I have async operations in my script...could that be the cause for airtable triggering the automation multiple times before the first automation run finished?

Hello therei have an automation that was working fine, now when i try to test it, i can't get past the trigger. the trigger works, but when i try to evaluate the conditions for the first action group (or any other action group) i get an error instead of an "yes, matches conditions" or "no, doesn't match conditions". strangely, this automation worked until now. is the error possible related to airtable general maintenance or issues and not to my automation at all. or do you guys know what kind of conditions throw such an error instead of getting evaluated. very strange 😞

New to Airtable, hoping someone can point me the right direction.I am building a database of Aus Music Chart history. I have an Excel sheet that has columns like Song, Artist, Year, Position, etc. As a test, I've copied and pasted some 3000 rows/records into an Airtable table. (Yes, overquota on the free plan for now.)What I want to do now is create another table for Genre that will automatically update the 'master' table (as describe above) based on an Artist's name. So, for instance, if I enter The Beatles > Pop in the Genre table, it will automatically assign the value 'Pop' into the master table wherever Artist = 'The Beatles'. Does that make sense? I've played around with relationship/linked Lookup fields, but the best result I've had is having to re-input the Artist name in a separate field -- i.e. it's not automatic. Hi y’all. I’m breaking my head over the next automation.I want to copy records from one table (A) to another (B) or update existing records in table B (Input table=A ; Copy table=B)Input Table A is using the import excel possibility. This is raw data from another source. In order to import correctly i’ll have to empty table A every time before importing the new data. Not using this function is out of the option because certain data fields disappear when trying to copy paste. My solution so far:Automation 1: when imported i create linked field to table B and let the automation update this field with the filenumber (unique) from table A. Thus A&B are linked. after deleting the data in A, with the next import this wil link A back to B no matter it’s position. Automation 2: via lookup fields from table A in table B i copy then to the fields in table B. So when the data in Table A is deleted, this wil not delete the data in

Hey Team,Whilst i"m no stranger to formulas I am new to Airtable and would love some help with a project. First an automation where I can enter a number in one table and it will create that number in records in another table. To put it into context, I am a Dog Breeder, I have created a table for my Studs & Dams and also for their Litters (Projects). I have a column in the Projects referring to number of puppies and I want the automation to create Puppy Profiles for each puppy. So if they have four, I want four Puppy Profiles created. The automation I have used so far is "When a record matches condition" in which I have used 'if project name is not empty', and 'if DOB is not empty' then create Puppy Profile but i want to add script so it adds for example '4' records because their are 4 puppies.  Could anyone help me to write my first script? 🙏In my second screenshot I would ideally love for the Project name and DOB to populate as

I am new in Airtable and i need hepl with the following:I have 3 original  tables ("Contact", "Structure" and "Management") in my base. I need a table showing all fields of each table as a summary. The base is still developing so I might add fields in the original tables (for example "Email Adress" in "Contact").I created a new table called "complete database", linked it to the three original tables and added lookup fields for all the fields from the original tables. Now I realized that, if I add a new field in an original table it is not automatically added to the "complete database".Is there another option? If i summarize the tables in a new synchronized base ... how do can I put them all into one table?thank you for helping!Julia

Hi,I have a date column (contract end date), two months before this date there is an automation that sends an email to the tenant. The problem is that I'm afraid the automation will send an email at midnight. Is there a possibility that the email will be sent 60 days before the end of the contract at 9 am?Thanks.

Hi,I have two tables, one of tasks and one of tenants.In the table of the tenants I have a column of the end date of the tenant's contract.I want to automate that at the beginning of each month (on the 1st of each month) I will create a RECORD in the table of tasks with the task of renewing the tenant's contract only if the date of the end of the tenant's contract is a month later.For example, if today's date is October 1st, I want to create tasks for each tenant whose contract ends in November.Is it possible?

I tried many workarounds, but none did actually work. What I am trying to achieve: cell one has orders (700, 1000, 3000, 400)cell two has sizes (M, XL, L, S)cell three "Joint" should display 700M, 1000XL, 3000L 450SI tried many formulas and scripts, the closed I came to was: ARRAYJOIN(size & orders)but this only displays MXLLS700;1000;3000;400 Maybe somebody has an idea - thank you very much!

Hi Communauty.I have a lot of trouble with Airtable's restrictions and business logic. I have a paid Teams space in which I build my clients' projects. Once finished, I want to transfer ownership of a database and its related automations to my client. 2 questions :1- Obviously, I cannot transfer ownership of a base. Should I transfer my entire workspace where I have my personal bases and those of other clients? ! Is it correct ?2- To transfer ownership of a workspace, I think I have to create an "Owner" user who will be billed to me? But if the new owner makes a paid subscription, what should I do to avoid paying on my end?Thanks for your help. Airtable's sales department must have really racked their brains. With such difficult to understand operation, I am seriously considering switching to Baserow which is more readable.

But I can't figure it out to make this happenIt's a registration form.  We use it for a specific location, every other month.  I'm trying to reduce some of the manual overhead by trying to auto populate each record as it is submitted with the current event - which is a linked field = from a sync table.Problem is - the automation doesn't seem to support this - like it does for select fields.How I am setting it in the form is kludgy Any suggestions - I'm open to hearing them

Hi everyone!I have a form for a warranty claim. Once customer submit it, the data is visible in table "RMA" for approval. I have another table named "customers" ("Stranke" in my language) which is linked to the table RMA and where I have a list of all customers (so that I can quickly see how many request or warranty cases specific customer have). I managed to automate that once the form is submited, it automatically create that customer in the table customer and link it to the RMA table. Now I stumbled upon one problem. If I have the same customer submitting the form multiple times, it always create a new one. So I have duplicated customers. Does anyone know how can I fix this? Thank you!

Hello Airtable family, I’ve previously explored how to sort the linked records, finding the best approach was a manual sort using the ‘Batch Update Block.’ The purpose was so that when using our Airtable-based ordering system, when we clicked a customer record in the customer table, it would show linked orders sorted with the most recent orders at the top. As I’m not the only one entering orders, it’s become a bit tedious and/or unreliable to use this method. I’m looking for a way to do it programmatically, either with an automation, scripting, or using even using Integromat. In theory, I’m thinking the best approach might be an automation script that only triggers when a customers ‘linked orders’ array changes, though not sure how to set that up with views, triggers, ect. I can likely figure out the script part from pseudo code. Any suggestions or ideas to try, I’m all ears! (Or, eyes…?) Kris

If you’re using a rollup field to summarize linked records with ARRAYJOIN(), the array’s order is determined by the order of the linked records. I created this script to automatically sort linked records in a cell. My use-case is to summarize interactions with companies. I sort by descending order to show the latest summary on top. Hi, I have managed to set up an email automation. But after the email is sent, I want to update the AirTable record with the date and time the email was sent. How do we do this? I have a database of people and one of the columns contains links to other records in that "People" database and is meant to showcase which other people this record has a relationship with. I was wondering if there is a way to update two records simultaneusly, so that when I add Person B as a relation to Person A, that relationship is reflected in both records.

Hi! I’m working on two separate base for my organization: the first manages the order, and the second the tracking and payment process. With the sync tables I’m able to get the tables from the order in the second base for the planning and processing of the shipment and payments . But I’m encountering a problem: there are some lookup fields about quantities that I need to process as number on the second base. The synced table show them as text, so the lookup on the tracking table it is also showing them as text, but I can’t modify the format to a number. I’ve also already tried to add another field with a VALUE() formula, but it gives an #ERROR! and doesn’t evaluate the text into a number. Any idea how to proceed? Many thanks, Claudio

When I create a LIST in INTERFACE and I mark the options "Edit records inline" and "Add/delete records inline" I can add RECORDS from the computer.But when I log into the app from my cell phone, I can't add a RECORD.Is it possible to add RECORD also from the app on the cell phone?

I am a real novice at formulas and I have been unable to work out what I have done wrong. Can somebody please tell me. DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(01-11-2019),{DOB LInk},‘Y’) I am trying to return the age of a person based on the difference between the DOB and the date in the future. Hello,I have shared 3 interfaces with a collaborator and have given them editor permissions. They are able to acces one of the 3 interfaces. When they try to access the other 2 interfaces they get a notification which says 'You are not authorized to view this page'.I am pretty sure that I followed the same procedure to share the interfaces and I don't think I have set any restrictions for who can see the interfaces. M is only able to view the Equipment & FAcilities Maintenance even though they have editor permission on all the interfaces.M has access to the interfaces on the desktop and they work perfectly for the permissions I have set. This issue only occurs on the mobile app on a tablet.Does anyone know what might be going on?Thanks!

I have an automation set up to add an event to my google calendar. It is working fine except, the end date it shows on the calendar is showing up the day before it ends. I have the events with no time listed because i do not want a specific start and end time for them. When i have the all day box checked in the automation It is showing on the calendar as ending a day earlier. When i make the "all day" under configurations in the automation dynamic and pick the end date it gives the start time and end time as 8AM in google calendar.  Is there a solution for this?
