Apologies for the confusing title. To not confuse things further, I'll minimise the story/context. I'm developing a crop planning and record keeping system for our farm.For this issue, I have 3 tables in question. 1) Crops (basic info about all our crops)2) Crop Plan (for planning)3) Field (what actually happens in the field, as plans are never followed 100%).More than one Crop is added to the crop plan via a linked record. An automation creates a record for each crop with a "planned" status in Field. The planning info and dates are dynamically updated between tables. So there are two linked records in the Crop Plan table - Crop and Field. The Field table also have a linked record to Crops. This is automatically filled when the Crop field in the Crop Planner is filled.So if you add the crop "Beetroot" and "Radish" to the crop plan table to plant on 01/01/24, 1 record is created in t

Hi everyone,I have an automation that runs a script which sends a recordID to a Make webhook.Every now and then the automation fails because Airtable sets the script execution limit to 30 seconds. That makes me think that the problem is because of Make, in that the processing in Make takes longer so in return Airtable exceeds the execution time.Has anyone else experienced this issue? In Airtable, a normal one-to-many relationship between two tables is bi-directional. When I create a link-to-record field in the parent table, Airtable automatically creates a mirroring link-to-record field in the child table. But if I create a link-to-record field that links to the same table – a self-join – that mirroring field does not get created. I was trying (as an experiment) to create a one-table to-do list, but I wanted a task to be able to have sub-tasks. So I defined the link-to-record field linking the Tasks table to itself, and called that field (that relationship) “Subtasks”. I created a task like “Prepare for vacation” and then added subtasks to it by clicking into the “Subtasks” column’s + button. And then Prepare for vacation [Subtasks: Get gas in car, Pack, File vacation form…] Get gas in car Pack File vacation form at post office etc. That works fine. But now what I’d like to do is filter out the subtasks and show only the parent-record tasks. Problem is, I can’t s

What’s the best way for someone to use my base? Lots of people will need to use it and add/edit records but they should not see each other’s information. They are individuals and not in the same company or organization. Can they copy my base and then use it freely? What is the best way to share so they’ll have the base to be able to add, edit, update and delete records?

When using the get request to get list of all the records is there anyway we can get list of all the records but the data only returns specific fields?

I'm building a CRM for my friend running a coaching business. There are two tables I would like to surface at the same time in a single interface "Sessions" & "Client"I want to create a user friendly view where she can see today's sessions - she can take notes etc for each session, and also have relevant client details up. (I've done a little mockup to explain)I know I can use Lookup fields to surface this information, but is there a cleaner way so I can simply open the Client details when a Session is selected (I'm using Record View but there might be another option)Any advice appreciated! 🤗

Hi all,Currently, I'm using a free plan, I have ownership of the account and have around 11 workspaces. Someone else invited a user to join and now he is a collaborator. I'm traying to change is access to Owner but it doesn't appear as an option anywere. I have tried :- share the base- create new workspace , trasfer all bases there and invite  Could you please help and advice? As mentioned I have quite a lot workspaces to would want the easiest way. Thank you. 

I am trying out the new Record Template feature, and I'm struggling when I want to create a same-table linekd record. I have a field that is a linked field to the same table. It gives me the below option to "choose templates" with which to populate this field:However, when I open this up, even though I have another template within this same table, I'm given no options for my template selection:You can see two templates clearly visible behind the dropdown menu; one is the template I'm currently editing, the other is the template I would like to select from the dropdown, but which isn't visible. Is this a bug, or is there some feature I'm missing in being able to select a record template for same-table linked records?

I have an interface form set up as an intake form for employee changes.  There is logic built where different fields show up to be filled in depending on what is selected.  It works well for individual employee change but I would like to enable a requester to submit more than 1 change without filling out a new form. For example, I have 2 employees I would like to promote and want to select different reasons for each and for employee 1 there would be a position number change while employee 2 does not.  Ideally, the same fields/logic already built can show up for employee 2, 3, etc so they can run through the same questions.  Also, is it possible for form / base to have an embedded table (similar to google sheet) where they can fill in for multiple employees at once.  

Hey. My pictures’ links get expired while I have a paid business plan. So whenever I export a CSV file for any of my data, the links for the picture tabs get expired and I don’t get to use those expired links. Need some serious help!!

How can I do a negative filter? Let's say I have a multiple select field with letters A-E. I can easily filter to show all records that contain all of D, E, and F. But I want to filter OUT all records that contain all of D, E, and F. Just D is fine, D and E is fine, etc. Thanks for your help!

I have a "Send an email" automation set up with the trigger "when {{Date field}} is one week from now."It's working great, except the emails are going out just after midnight. I'd prefer them to go around 9am. I have added a time to my date field, but that does not seem to work. Any advice?    

Hello everyone, I use airtable to manage shopify orders, and i need to print a delivery order that contains all the details (each record has one item from the order, if i have one order with 3 deferent items I will have 3 records), I already designed one with airtable page designer but i cant do deferent records in one page

I have a simple base that shows transactions each month and allows me to track date of the transaction.I want to add a formula field that will compare Entered date (year & month) to the current year and month: IF(  AND(    IS_SAME({Entered},TODAY(),'year'),    IS_SAME({Entered},TODAY(),'month'),1,0      )  )   This isn't returning any values in the formula field though. If I just use one of the IF statements for either year or month, it works fine. It's when I try using AND that returns nothing. Any suggestions?

Hi Everyone.Quick question.. I think I already know the answer, but just double checking to make sure..I work for a company that is starting a marketing campaign, I wanted this to include an Airtable form that customers can fill out a form for an appointment.We have two divisions in the company and what I am looking for is to have a limit for appointments per day. So three appointment each day per division. I think this may be too complicated for Airtable, especially for a simple form.  Either way let me know if there is a solution to this! Thanks

Hello!Does anyone know how to delete records from a List View? When I select a record and right click I do not have the option to delete like I would from the Grid View.Is anyone else having the same experience?

HelloI have a requirement where I want to create a Unique Customer ID based on their name and an incremented numberFor example:I add a new customer "XYZ (North)" and want to generate the Customer ID XYZ001Then I add another New customer "XYZ (South)" and want to generate the Customer ID XYZ002ID would just increment for each 3 character prefix.  I have no problem with having another table to trank the highest used number for XYZ if needed Fields would be "Customer Name" and "Customer ID"TIAMike

It's past May 17th and I still don't have the left navigation UI referenced in the help article "Getting started with Airtable Interface Designer." I'm missing the "add element" button. Anyone else with this issue?

Currently, formula fields support numeric, date and text output only. Are there any plans to extend formula field to work with other types of output (such as the single select field)? A bit of context: I have 3 single select fields (let’s call them A, B, and C) which represent the status of a task. Statuses may have one of the following options: Todo, Doing, Paused, and Done. For example, given some task, it could have the A field as Doing, B as Paused, and C as Todo. With that in mind, I’d like to have a field D that automatically selects its value based on fields A, B, and C. Let’s say D is a formula field that does some least common denominator logic to figure its value out. The problem I’m facing is that the output type of D is text, and I’d like it to be a single select field’s value type. Also, is there a dedicated place to ask Airtable for feature implementations?

Hi all, I’m trying to use an IF formula to convert “Y” and “N” text strings into Single Selects titled “Upgraded” and “Not Upgraded”. Many times we wish to have a single select or multi select field automatically choose an output based on other fields. Automations are useful for this, but are limited and become convoluted as a separate module, especially when you have many of these use cases in one table.It would be very useful to have a single select or multi select field with an inbuilt formula box, where the select output could be determined by the formula. You could then introduce another option to lock formula mapping (ie no ability to edit), or freeze mapping, where an Auto value output would generate unless the field was manually overwritten.The workaround at present is to create three Fields, 1 select field for manual input, 1 formula field for automated input and one last official formula field to take the most relevant of the two previous outputs. This generates clunky database design, similar to when there was no today() function.

Hi, I have a Single Select field that has the options “This week”, “This month”, “This quarter”. I’d like these to be automatically chosen and updated based on a Date field. The purpose of this is to use a Matrix block to display records by a “Event Type” Single Select on the Y axis and in relative date categories “This week” etc on the X axis. Is this possible, or can anyone suggest a better solution?
