Hi everyone,I have a table for customers, a table for assets and a table for faults.Each client can have several assets and each asset can have several faults.When a fault is closed, an email is sent to the customer with a request for payment for that fault.I have clients who are divorced and they are paying for the same property.Their email column in the faults table looks like this now - email 1, email 2And the same for the column with their first name - first name 1, first name 2Is it possible to send an email to each of them separately when a fault is closed?

Just wondering if this is a bug or is intended.If not a bug, how would I go about fixing the issue?

Hello, I am trying to take one column with a day/hour field (Start Date) and use a Single-Select (Time zone) to create an updated day/hour column. Currently, I use New York time on all the other dates but I need to be able to see a different version of the time in cases when I am collaborating with people internationally. Time zones would be ‘Africa/Laos’,‘Africa/Maputo’,‘Africa/Nairobi’ etc. Any help would be much appreciated! Edit: I have looked at this sample base and get what it’s trying to do, but I don’t know how to alter it for my purpose.

I need to have the master table unmodified and only its duplicate to register my changes so I can compare the two. How can I do it?

I am trying to set a simple automation but for some reason It does not work and I cannot make anything out of what the error is giving by Airtable: Updating the record failed.For more context, I have a formula field that is concatenate from multiple text fields and I want to have a multi-select field that is pasted from the aforemention formula field. The purpose of this is to have tags type as well as remove the duplicated tags.Let me know if you have any suggestion. Thanks!

Wonder if anyone has something that works for this... I'm creating discrete events in a base, and I want to automate the process of turning the data points into a .ics file and attaching it to the record in an attachment field. It's a bit like this walkthrough  but instead of using Make to attach the .ics into an email, I want to return the file to the Airtable record's attachment field. Then anyone who has access to the record can download and save the calendar entry to their own calendar. Per that walkthrough I was trying to get Make.com to do this but I keep running into Bundle Validation Errors, and I'm wondering if there's a way for Airtable to handle this inside the base via scripting. 

I have an "Applications" table that tracks contacts through various stages: expressing interest (TYPE = EOI), applying (TYPE = Application), and other scenarios for a specific session.I want to determine how many contacts who expressed interest (TYPE = EOI) in a session ultimately applied (TYPE = Application) for the same session. This will help me calculate the conversion rate between expressing interest and applying.Is there a way to calculate this?For example, in the provided screenshot, contact records 14 and 15 both expressed interest and applied for the same session. Other contacts may either only apply or only express interest.In the "Sessions" table, I have created two lookup fields: one for contacts with TYPE = EOI and another for contacts with TYPE = Application. However, I’m having trouble figuring out how to identify which contacts appear in both lists. Is there a simpler method to achieve this?I have hidden any contact names. 

Hello,We are trying to replicate functionality from a system we are phasing out.  The function allows the user to view a list of accounts, filter based on fields, and then send an email to the resulting filtered list.  I'm wondering if there is a way to do this via the automation builder or scripting.  I understand how to do this for a static list of filter parameters, but I want to create an interface (or some other mechanism) to allow users to determine the parameters themselves.Inputs:   Users select parameters from a set of drop down fields in an interface or some other UI element (Stacker, make, etc.)  (E.g. User role, Department Name, etc.)Process:  Automation system parses those user inputs to generate a string of email addresses that matches the criteria from the user input.  (E.g. If the user selects "Role = Admin",  the system would return the list of email addresses where the user record has a role of Admin

I have a base template that was duplicated from a separate workspace (WS-A), reworked and overhauled in the dev workspace (WS-DEV). On the original base WS-A were two previous users who had workspace-level permissions THERE, but zero shared access on the dev workspace where the duplicated version was developed into its new form. The duplicated base was NOT shared with those two users from WS-A, and they do not appear as users in that workspace (WS-DEV). Once the new base was ready to move into its next production workspace environment (WS-C), those users do not appear in the User type field for assignments in the dropdown. So far so good.HOWEVER when I create a Kanban view stacked by the User (Assignee) field, those users DO appear, like shadow options. I'm not able to delete them from options in the User field type, they do not appear as having the base or workspace shared with them on WS-C, etc.See screenshots.Admin help to resolve appreciate

I would appreciate to have any assistance in finding a way to sort a grid of records in an email automation.It is really frustrating this functionality is not available, so need to find a workaround. I have an automation that sends email with 2 grids of records that I need to sort. Without sorting the grids are senseless and useless. I am not familiar with scripting, so any help in that (if it is the only way) will be appreciated and paid.We do not use Integromat or other 3rd party solutions, so need to do it by Airtable instruments only.Thanks in advance.

I am trying to create an email report where I use the automation flow below: At a certain time > Find Records > Outlook: Send Email I’m using the “Find Records” action to search for where a checkbox is flagged, then using those records to input a grid or a list into the email. The issue is that I can’t reorder the fields or sort the list/grid it creates. Is there either, another way to do this WITHOUT A THIRD PARTY APP, or is there something I’m missing that allows you to sort records/reorder fields?

Hi there, I am somewhat new to Airtable, and need some help. I have built 90% of what I need already however I am stuck with one final challenge. I have created an automation that will send a weekly digest email with all of the logged activities over the past 90 days (calls, emails, meetings etc) that I can share with my clients, specific to their project. The email that is generated (preview) sorts these table records based on the date/time that they were INPUT TO AIRTABLE instead of the date that they actually occurred (sometimes I log activity a few days after the fact). I have created a date field which has the actual meeting times and would have preferred the automated email to sort results based on that date field however I don’t know how to do that. I’ve created a base for managing a complex calendar at my institution. I’ve created simple table and calendar views for collaborators, but I also have a table view that is strictly for exporting csv files so I can upload the events to our website since there are strict rules for formatting, etc. All of the events have to have categories, some of which have up to three. I’ve created a multiple select field (“Category”) so people can select the appropriate categories. But when I export to csv, there can only be one category per column. I would rather keep a single “Category” multiple select so I don’t have three separate fields that people have to figure out. Is there a way to write a formula for this? So the logic would be this: I would create three fields (Category 1, Category 2, and Category 3). Category 1 would find the first option in the Multiple Select field “Category.” Category 2 would find the second option in “Category” C

Hello,I have a problem performing calculations on numbers from rollup's columns. When I do additions and subtractions, I don't get any errors. However, when I try to do multiplications and divisions, I get an error. I tried adding value() to convert the text to a number (despite the original values being numbers). Although this no longer generates an error, the calculation doesn't work. I was trying to check if the divisor is greater than zero, but despite the tests, it doesn't work.I need some help 🙏Thank you,Angelo

I’m trying to create a weekly meal planning base (and app? Just starting with the base so far). For each week, I’d like to choose several recipes to make from a Recipes table, and I’d like to be able to check them off as I go.Linking multiple recipes is easy — this would just be a “link multiple.“ What’s not as obvious to me is how I might indicate completion status for each one.So far, I’ve ended up making another table called “Days,” in which each record has a link to a recipe and a checkbox for completion. Then I link multiple days in the week, instead of linking the recipes directly. The problem is that this gets pretty complicated when I just want to quickly plan a week. Can I work around this with clever app design? (Hi, I’m new here! 👋) Or should I be approaching the base design differently?Thanks!

I have a list of 100-200 sign-up's on a shared view (that's embedded in my website, so it "should" update), and I want to have a public user "Approve" or "Deny" each sign-up by clicking a field button (see screenshot) that would update one Select Field in the respective row. This process happens only once a year.A simple search on the AT community shows that editable shared views are incredibly popular but not possible. There have even been some creative workarounds (like this from GAP Consulting), but it's too much to ask for someone to open 100-200 forms to update one value for each row. I have a new repair business. I have two tables related to this question:One contains People, some of whom own items that they want repaired. The table includes contact info and the repairs they have submitted; the latter is a linked record field.The other contains Repairs, linking back to the item owners, providing all the details of the repair need, and indicating the current status in the repair process.I want to include a field in People showing Active Repairs, which are those that match certain statuses representing "incomplete." Hi all,I am wondering if there is a way to either create a new table or export a .csv file that would list out all of a record's linked records in columns. I have an inventory base that tracks outgoing and incoming equipment to and from specific sites. Essentially, I want to be able to export all of the linked record data so that each linked record has its own cell in a respective column. I've included screenshots below to better illustrate my specific case. Is there an automation or script that can perform these actions? I've tried to export just a single record by filtering the view, but all the linked records remain grouped in their respective cells rather than each receiving their own cell/row like I would prefer.

Hello! I've read through other messages and some how-to's and I'm hitting a wall with on automation I have set up. I have an automation set up to track my apartment cleaning tasks. When a record is created in the Cleaning Tracker table [TRIGGER], the automation:    1. finds the records in a different table (Rooms to Clean) to add the new task to where the name contains the same Month and Room/Area as the created record.     2. finds all the records in the Cleaning Tracker that have the same Month and Room/Area as the one just created    IF the record doesn't already exist:        create a new record in Rooms to Clean    IF the record does exist (record length >= 1)        update the record with all of the records that have the same Month and Room/Area This automation works great with every room's task

I am trying to build a shared database for ~30 research sites. There is a set of shared variables that all sites will track but sites also want the ability to track additional site-specific data points. Each site should get to see and edit ONLY their own records (i.e. they should not be able to see or edit any the individual records of any other sites). Each site should have access to an interface dashboard that shares summary data for the shared variables across all sites. I've tried a few different approaches, but haven't found the solution yet. I tried creating different views within the same table for each site, but I don't think that will work because I can't seem to restrict access to a view to only one site.I tried creating different tables within the same base for each site, but I don't think that will work because then I can't create a dashboard that aggregates across all sites.I think syncing may be an option, but we have the

Hi,I have three tables:For faultsFor suppliersFor combining the fault and supplier tables so I can have multiple suppliers per fault and different costs for each supplier. (Every record represent a supplier in specific fault).Currently, when I open a new fault from the interface, I need to create a record for the fault and then create a record in the table that combines the fault and supplier tables. (So I can choose which suppliers belong to that fault + add thier pricing)What is the easiest way to create a new fault? Should I just submit two forms: one for the fault and one for the table that combines faults and suppliers? Or is there another, easier way?Thanks.
