Does anyone here have experience with using miniExtensions? Couple of their features (like forms and shared editable view - especially this, looks like it could sold quite a few permission problems we could potentially have with default permissions of Airtable) looks like it could really improve and help with a workflow we plan to implement. But since they are not some well-known names (like Zapier or Integormat for example), or at least we haven’t heard of them before researching Aritable specific integrations (and I don’t mean any disrespect by saying this) my company can be a bit reluctant to depend on some software packages or integrations that we don’t know anything about So, if anyone has experience with using their services, it would mean to hear first hand experience, as they have some really good tools (from the information on their site) that could help us a lot and we are seriously thinking about testing them and hopefully using in our workflow if eve

Hello! I'm hoping someone here is great with automations/scripting/something to help. I'm trying to run an automation every Sunday to randomize work tasks for my team and then send an email or Teams message. I want it to refresh the randomization when this runs at it's scheduled time. I have 6 members, and already have their off days input. The Airtable randomize values extension works for what I'm wanting (and avoids the cells that are already filled with "Off"), but I can't run it on an automation and honestly, I don't know enough about JavaScript to change the code. Their code requires inputs from the extension panel with the min/max bounds (mine would be set to 1,1, which is how it avoids the "Off" cells) AND the specific field to update. Here are my data references:Automation should run every Sunday at 3am (before anyone is logged in.. the time is somewhat arbitrary)Randomize each task excluding "Off"6 member

Why is the form interface different than editing an existing record for selected related/lookup fields in another table? The form interface for adding a new record is very minimal and only shows 1 field while editing an existing record shows multiple fields. Ideally, I want the new record form to show more details so I can filter out the best option. Hello all,New to Airtable and I'm trying to build a product costing and BOM system.I have worked out from searching for posts on this forum that I can split a Lookup cell based on text using the following IF( FIND(",", {Product Costings}), LEFT({Product Costings}, FIND(",", {Product Costings})-1 ), {Product Costings} ) But when I try to use this same formula to split the cost cells it doesn't seem to work.I basically have a 'Total Cost' column which is currently filled with £0.70, £1.00 and £0.11I want to split these into separate cells as I want to specify quantity for each value. For some reason the above script will not work for numericals, and it just lists the full 0.70, 1.00, 0.11Is there something I need to change to make this work? HiI am busy making an airtable for a logistics business. I think the user interface (with nested lists) and overall simplicity is really great and we can see ourself using this as our primary toolHowever I am worried about the record limits. We estimate to have around 500-1000 orders per month when we are fully up and running. Each order contains several shipments (on average 1,5) and each shipment contains at least 2 shipment jobs (pickup and delivery). So we will have to plan to add around 6000-8000 records per month. After a couple of years we will reach our limits.  My idea to handle this is to mirror the airtable base to an sql database or possibly firebase (but I am not a developer and have no experience with object databases. Hello, I am stuck.I have a table that I upload a csv from my databaseThe table has records (all records have a unique GuestID) that are either the parent record (field name GuestAccountOwner is equal to true)Or a child account where GuestAccountOwner is equal to false and GuestAccountID is equal to the GuestID of the parent record.I am trying to output in a new table on one record for each parent, but combining data from both parent and child. So the record would have the ParentName, Parent Email, ParentPhone but on the same record there would be Child1Name, Child1DOB, Child2Name, Child2DOB. Based on the DOB of each child there would also be a Child1BirthMonth and Child1BirthYear, etc for each child as well.Basically the automation has to go through and find the parent records, count the chidren and put it all on one line, I can either have all the fields ready with that naming convention or it can be added on the fly.Is this possible?

Hello,I'm trying to design a database that can accomplish the following:Aggregate data across several different entities (for example, cities).Aggregate data for each entity across different time periods (for example, years).Aggregate data for each entity and time period across multiple metrics (for example, (a) population; (b) property taxes collected; (c) median home value).I want to be able to use the Interface feature to design a table to review city-level metrics (rows = population, taxes, home value, etc., columns = 2020, 2021, 2022, etc.) with a drop-down chooser for selecting the appropriate city (New York, San Francisco, Chicago, etc.)Is this possible with Airtable? Hi there,I'm looking for some help with improvement of a "Work on Today" field.The field we have currently is a checkbox for each colleague--each person has their own "Work on Today" checkbox with their name marking their field. In a view of my tasks on the base, I have it grouped so that when I check my "Work on Today" box, it will automatically then show that task (along with any others I have marked) at the top of my view.It works great as it is, however, we have more colleagues now and it would be great to have a single field for all colleagues that had the same function as the above one. However, I cannot get one to work in the same way because of groupings/filters.Initially, I thought a "Work on Today" multiple choice field would work as each person could select their own name when they were working on a task that day. I have a field that contains people’s heights in centimeters. I’d like to create an additional field that converts those heights to feet and inches, specifically using the format #’#". The conversion part is easy; to get from centimeters to inches, you simply divide by 2.54, after which I’d want to round to the nearest inch. It’s the formatting part that I’m hung up on. For example, 175 centimeters converts to 69 inches, rounded to the nearest inch. But how do I force 69 inches to display instead as 5’9"? Thanks in advance for any help here!

Hi, I have two dates in my base, one is manually inputted, the second is linked from another tab. The date pulled from another tab is the most recent date and we need this date to replace the manually inputted date so we can track most recent updates. I've tried creating a new column that merges these dates but that isn't working. Hello,I have a very simple request.I simply need to generate a formula to compute the first and last name of my contacts.However, as simple it is, I do not have the text format in the formatting bar. I'm trying to show the graduation rate  and drop out rate of program participants in a dashboard. We used to track both in separate fields to using the percent filled under summary type, but both fields were recently combined into one. I tried to find a way to show an accurate percent of graduates and non graduates with both being under the same field, and have been unable to do so. Is there a way to do it? If so, what is it?I'm trying to show this as a straight up number, and not in graph form. 

How can I make it so someone can add drop down items to a field but not be able to delete,rename,access specific views? Seems like this permission system needs to be more complex bc I’m finding that I have to give up a lot of control to simply manage a table/view or add new rows. I feel like there should be minimum one more level where I can create a user to manage rows and specific fields but not delete/rename views. am I missing something? 

Hello All, I am new to Airtable & have searched but could not find a solution to my query. My table has the following fields (and a couple of more). 5 days before the due date, I send myself a reminder mail. And, this seems to be fine (preview tells me it is fine). The issue is the format of the due date. I want the format to be 22-Jul-2022 but the email shows 2022-07-22 I used the formula in the email, but it is treated as text in the email. I created another field (column) with my kind of format and the column shows the format, but when I reference this column in my email, the content is blank. Can you please help me? Best, Vikas
