Hi All! Can anyone provide some scripting advice - I want to create a script that changes a field type from Multiple Select to a Text field when it runs, and another script to do the reverse. Thanks in advance for any feedback!

OpenAPI is an API specification format which provides a way of creating a standard format to represent a given REST API. There’s a large community of tools built on top of the OpenAPI definition, including mock servers, schema visualizers, and SDK generators for a given language. Using Custom Blocks and the OpenAPI Schema UI we can create block which reads a base’s schema, generates the corresponding OpenAPI definition, and then displays the resulting documentation. Users can then export this schema and run it through any of the open-sourced OpenAPI tools. The Swagger UI also provides a way to make API calls from the documentation, so it can also be used as a playground to experiment with the Airtable API and see those changes immediately reflected

I am helping a friend's small restaurant create a drink menu that can be viewed from iPads in the restaurant.There are many types of beverages that are updated in the master Airtable.I just want a view-only way for customers to glance at that list on provided tablets. The main data types are, - image of the drink-price- descriptionswhat's the best way to do this?  If there's a good plug-in that adds to the viewing experience beyond the basic features, we don't mind paying for that too.

I have a table that I created to track resource allocation, and use that information to then report out to a graph in my interface to show based on the allocations, how much I would be expected to spend each month. The setup for this is a bit of a workaround to solve for not being able to have multiple fields reported into a chart.  This is working how i need, but it is prone for error if I do not manually link the months in the linked field. I'm trying to create an automation, or solve this in any way that doesnt require me updating both the linked field and the fields that determine if a resource is active or not. My hope is that I could create an automation that would check the Month Fields, and if a Month is set to active, it would then enter that Month into the Linked Months field - this way i could just update the allocation fields, and my report would always be insync with wh

I have 4 Tables (Payments, Receivables, CostCenters, Extract)The Payments and Receivables records are linked to CostCenters records.The Extract records are linked to Payments ou Receivables records ("If it's a receipt, it will be associated with an account receivable, and if it's a payment, it will be associated with an account payable.) So i want to make a formula field with an IF to get a cost center from Payments if the record is linked to a payment if not it will get the receivable costcenterIs it possible?

Hi Airtable - Can I please get some help in resetting my automation runs? I just ran out of automations for the month (due to a runaway automation that we have now resolved), but nmy business is non-functioning for the rest of the month because we have no more automation runs.Can anybody please escalate my emergency support request? Hey all! I am trying to set up a form that is being sent out to about 200 people for the purpose of tracking time allocation for employees. To do so, the employees will fill out a form at the end of the week, selecting the projects they worked on throughout the week. After selecting multiple projects they worked on, I'd like for the form to auto-calculate the % of time they spent on the project. For example:If a person worked on 4 projects, the formula spits out that they spent 25% of their time across all 4 projects.If a person worked on 5 projects, the formula spits out that they spent 20% of their time across all 5 projects.After doing this, I'd like the user to be able to edit the percentage tied to each project, and then automatically adjust the other percentages to total 100%. Thoughts on a solution here?

Hello All,Is it possible to implement a Lazy Approval function using Airtable Automation?

I have an automation set up to find records based on a view. In that view - there are 17 records. When I test or run the automation, it only returns 10 records. I can't figure out why this is dropping 7 records. I've tried recreating the automation, and I still get the same issue. I was thinking there might be an extra space. But I can't seem to find it.

I am trying to create a scheduling tool in Airtable to book appointments with outside clients. I created a form that is linked to schedule availability and includes name, role, email, etc. At the bottom of the form, they can choose a date/time. Is there a way to include a location with the date/time?For example : some meeting slots are 30 min. but are either in-person or virtual as labeled in my table. However, the person filling out the form cannot see the options 'in-person, virtual, etc.' and I would like each day/time to be associated with its corresponding location (in-person, virtual, etc.)Is there a way to do this?

At the top of my interface, I have a variety of Filters for end users. At the interface level, I've filtered out certain records using the same fields that are at the top of the interface as end-user filters. For example Published Location <> UNPUBLISHED. However, when end-users click on the filter "Published Locations", there still remains the UNPUBLISHED option which, when chosen, returns no records in the interface. I would like the records to be filtered and the filters to be... filtered. 

Probably a novice queston, but I am unable to entries in a grid view sorted after putting them in order manually; once I close and reopen the base, everything will default to alphabetical. When I switch the alphabetical sort on and off, it reverts back only partially; if I put things in a specific order manually, it won’t go back to the way I left it. Any advice on what I may be doing wrong, or how to work around this?

I have a pre-filled form that is launched from a button in a record in the Assets table. When the form is submitted, the automation is triggered. A new record is created in the Updates table. Then, there's a Find Record step where a condition is entered to find the record to be updated in the Assets table. Right now, I'm using the condition Today's Date.That's fine for testing but what I really want to do is let the Find Record value be the record from the Assets table from which I launched the form in the first place using a button.How do I refer to that Rec ID? 

i have a zap with a Find Record step in Airtable. the step is set up to create the record if one is not found. for creating the record, i have text in a multi-select field that corresponds to one of the multi-select field options. however, when the zap actually creates the record, it adds both that option as well as a new blank option. i have double checked to make sure i don't have spaces before or after the option i entered. any ideas about how to prevent this from happening? thanks!!

I added a button to a table that forms a task when the button is clicked.The task is an async call to a REST API using Javascript's fetch.  I'd like to be able to display the state of the operation, including when its completed.The code:// make the REST API with an async function const response = await updateLicense(config.access_token, employeeNumber, licenseNumber); // dispay the results of the processing output.text(response) Unfortunately, the code doesn't wait for the updateLicense function to complete.  Any ideas?

Hi. I've taken over managing an airtable database and I can't get two tabs to talk to each other. I basically want the Link To Another Record space to populate when I link to that resource from another tab. It's working everywhere else on this table, just not on the tab I've recently created. I don't know what I'm doing wrong?

Hi everyone! I'm trying to build monthly employee attendance with NFC tag. Basically when you "scan" nfc tag with your phone, it open up AT Form for submitting your entry or leave (start in the morning, start of the break, end of the break and end of work). In this form you can choose what type of entry or leave you're submitting. Name is preffiled (and linked to another table with personal information about Of course, when submitting the form, every entry from the form is in a new record. Is it possible to combine all four records into one (for one day)? And after that, I want to calculate duration (how long was one working and how long was on break). I tried by updating the field in another table, but I don't know how to define where (to which record) should information update (so for the specific employee and for a specific date). 

I've currently got an automation set to pull text fields from multiple records as a list into a Google doc. However, I'd like for the field names to not generate in the Google doc, just the content of the field. Hi there,Wondering if anyone could help me with a couple of formulas.I have an existing date field (DD-MMM-YY) and I want to create deadlines from this field as follows:1.  23rd day of the 9th month after this date; example - where source field is 31-12-2022, formula should result in 23-09-2023 and for 28-02-2023, formula should result in 23-11-2023.2.  23rd day of the previous month; example - where source field is 31-12-2022, formula should result in 23-11-2022 and for 28-02-2023, formula should result in 23-01-2023.3.  23rd day of the month that is 6 months earlier; example - where source field is 31-12-2022, formula should result in 23-06-2022 and for 28-02-2023, formula should result in 23-08-2022.For automations I would like the resulting dates to be in local format and up to now have been creating a secondary field using the DATETIME_FORMAT formula but wonder if there is any way to incorporate the DATETIME_FORMAT formul

I'd like to create an automation to send out a notice to individuals who did not meet their quota using data from a spreadsheet.So every week we get an individual's timesheet that is placed in a Google Sheet. Using this data, I'd like to make an automation to send out a notification to an individual if they have not completed their quota. With each failure of the quota, I'd also like to increase the amount of "Strikes" listed, if they reach 3 strikes, another notification is sent to a supervisor listing the person(s) that did not complete the quota. Relatively new to Airtable, any help is appreciated.
