I am using a formula cell to check a date/time cell to confirm if the time in EST has occurred or not yet.The Date/Time cell contains something like 5/12/2024 2:30pm ESTMy Formula cell uses the formula:IF(AND({Start Date},DATEADD({Start Date}, -5, 'hours') <= DATEADD(NOW(), -5, 'hours')),"true",BLANK())What I'd like to happen is for the Formula cell to return "true" when the Date/Time cell reads a time that is equal to or before the current Easter Standard Time.  Note: I don't want it to use my current

I have created a three table airtable, for project planning. Projects have a Start Date and End Date Resourcing links to Projects, and has a Start Date Override and End Date Override, as well as two Formula fields, Start Date and End Date, which choose either the project Start and End dates, or the overrides if set. Ie IF({Start Date Override} = BLANK(), {Start Date (from Project)}, {Start Date Override}) I have created a Gantt view using these formula fields as Start Date and End Date, which works fine as a normal user. However when I try to create a shared view, I see instead “Start date field is hidden or invalid” Table setup Gantt Setup The error :frowning:

Hello all!At the moment we are organizing our purchase orders in Airtable.We do this through two tables. In table 1 we put the separate products, each product has its own row.Then we link each product to a Purchase Order Number, which is portrayed in table 2. So in this table each row is a Purchase Order (containing multiple products).We want to organize this further, which makes it a bit more complicated.Each product in the Purchase Order will need to be split up further for the shipping process. Hi everyone!Following problem: I have a table where each record is represents a deployment of a worker, sick leave, a project or Vacation. We differentiate between them with a single select field. Each record has a start and an end date + is linked to a Worker and/or a Project. Now currently the Name field is just a Code identifying the Type + an autonumber. However if one particular worker is linked, I would like the Name field to Dispay "Linked Project". The reason is that this particular worker needs to sync his records to an external calender application. Greetings,I am working with 4 tables of approximately 10,000 records each. The primary field is the name of a specific medical product. I am trying to go through and categorize these products so I also have a field for "category" with multi-agent selection as the field type based on the type of product it is. Some, but not all, of the medical products will be on multiple tables. Is it possible to set up an automation so that if I categorize an agent on one table, it will automatically update the category for that agent on any other tables it happens to be on? I am working on an automation to Find records with a matching agent (medical product) and update them. I believe I am stuck on fine tuning the update since it will be dynamic. I can't quite get it to match the category I want it updated to. Can I do this with just 1 automation or do I need to do 2? How should I structure it/them? Thank you for helping. 

I work in a school and manage a process where teachers submit a form after grading tests. This form triggers an automated email to the parents. Currently, if multiple students are submitted in the same form, all their names appear in each email sent out. I want to personalize these emails so that each parent receives only their child’s information.I am considering writing a script that can be triggered by a button. The idea is that when the button is pressed, the records would be split by each student's name, and an automation would then trigger the sending of these personalized emails.Has anyone implemented something similar or have ideas on how to best approach this? I would greatly appreciate examples of scripts or advice on setting up these automations effectively.Thank you in advance!

I have a base where I want to track how Contacts engage with Events (dozens of them). I have one single-select status field per Event on the Contact record and would ideally like to use those fields to programmatically link the two records.For instance:Contact James Doe has the status "Invited" in the field "Conference 2024" (which corresponds to the Event record Conference 2024). In that case, I want to automatically link Conference 2024 in the "Events invited to" linked records field on James Doe's record (appending it to any existing records there).I know I could set this up for every single event individually with automations, but I would like to avoid doing this dozens of times for dozens of different event

I'm making a dashboard from an interface, and when I display a number that is the sum or average of a group of fields it always displays the number with two digits after the decimal. Is there a way to round that number to no places after the decimal?Also for some of the numbers, I want to add a dollar sign to the beginning of the number. Is there a way to do that when the number is using a "Number" field?

When I 'get' look-up or select fields using Pyairtable, they're now coming in as list type objects:  'red' is now ['red']'5/11/24' is now ['5/11/24']The previous behavior was WYSIWYG.  This is unexpected and strange and breaks years worth of ETL scripts that I've built.  Anyone else having this problem?     

Hi there!I'm building out a capacity / utilization tracker on Airtable. I'm trying to build a line graph, using either the chart extension or interface tool, comparing utilization per team over a set amount of time.Each of my tasks has an start and end date -- I'm able to see the sum total of utilization per team by end date (i.e., tasks ending in May or June), but I'd like to plot it based off overall duration as I have some tasks that start in one month and end in another.As in, if I have a task that take 15% weekly utilization from May 2nd to June 30th, I'd like it to show up in my team utilization line graph for BOTH May and June, which will help me show total utilization by month.  Ideally, I could do this by week, but I'm assuming month is simpler. Is there any way I could do this? I'm wondering if I can do a date-if formula to splice out the months that my task is in and then use that as my X axis?Thanks in advance!

I have a lookup field in table A that is supposed to retrieve values from a number field on table B.Some of the values on table B are 0. Currently the lookup field on table A is showing blanks for all 0 values.0 is different than blank. For my purposes, blank means missing information and 0 means 0.How do I fix this? I have a feeling that if I changed the table to a text field it would help, but I have some integrations with accounting software and would rather not do that if I don't have to as it may muddy some other things.

There is a way to embed the google MAP extension view but I can't seem to find instruction on what the embed code looks like. There is a related question that's been open for several months and I sent a support question and I haven't hear back on the answer. They suggested to search here but I can't find any answers to this. Here's an example that does work on some other site but I can't get this embed code for my MAP view 

Hey there. I’d like to alphabetize one set of records in a table but would like to write a formula that would exclude the word “the” at the beginning when alphabetizing. (I rather not just format as Title, The.) Any possible way to do this, or no, because this is essentially a sorting issue, not a formula/record-naming issue?

Does anyone here have experience with using miniExtensions? Couple of their features (like forms and shared editable view - especially this, looks like it could sold quite a few permission problems we could potentially have with default permissions of Airtable) looks like it could really improve and help with a workflow we plan to implement. But since they are not some well-known names (like Zapier or Integormat for example), or at least we haven’t heard of them before researching Aritable specific integrations (and I don’t mean any disrespect by saying this) my company can be a bit reluctant to depend on some software packages or integrations that we don’t know anything about So, if anyone has experience with using their services, it would mean to hear first hand experience, as they have some really good tools (from the information on their site) that could help us a lot and we are seriously thinking about testing them and hopefully using in our workflow if eve

Hello! I'm hoping someone here is great with automations/scripting/something to help. I'm trying to run an automation every Sunday to randomize work tasks for my team and then send an email or Teams message. I want it to refresh the randomization when this runs at it's scheduled time. I have 6 members, and already have their off days input. The Airtable randomize values extension works for what I'm wanting (and avoids the cells that are already filled with "Off"), but I can't run it on an automation and honestly, I don't know enough about JavaScript to change the code. Their code requires inputs from the extension panel with the min/max bounds (mine would be set to 1,1, which is how it avoids the "Off" cells) AND the specific field to update. Here are my data references:Automation should run every Sunday at 3am (before anyone is logged in.. the time is somewhat arbitrary)Randomize each task excluding "Off"6 member

Why is the form interface different than editing an existing record for selected related/lookup fields in another table? The form interface for adding a new record is very minimal and only shows 1 field while editing an existing record shows multiple fields. Ideally, I want the new record form to show more details so I can filter out the best option. Hello all,New to Airtable and I'm trying to build a product costing and BOM system.I have worked out from searching for posts on this forum that I can split a Lookup cell based on text using the following IF( FIND(",", {Product Costings}), LEFT({Product Costings}, FIND(",", {Product Costings})-1 ), {Product Costings} ) But when I try to use this same formula to split the cost cells it doesn't seem to work.I basically have a 'Total Cost' column which is currently filled with £0.70, £1.00 and £0.11I want to split these into separate cells as I want to specify quantity for each value. For some reason the above script will not work for numericals, and it just lists the full 0.70, 1.00, 0.11Is there something I need to change to make this work? HiI am busy making an airtable for a logistics business. I think the user interface (with nested lists) and overall simplicity is really great and we can see ourself using this as our primary toolHowever I am worried about the record limits. We estimate to have around 500-1000 orders per month when we are fully up and running. Each order contains several shipments (on average 1,5) and each shipment contains at least 2 shipment jobs (pickup and delivery). So we will have to plan to add around 6000-8000 records per month. After a couple of years we will reach our limits.  My idea to handle this is to mirror the airtable base to an sql database or possibly firebase (but I am not a developer and have no experience with object databases. Have some basic knowledge about SQL though). So then we will have customer portals and an admin for looking long back in history directly linked
