I added a button to a table that forms a task when the button is clicked.The task is an async call to a REST API using Javascript's fetch.  I'd like to be able to display the state of the operation, including when its completed.The code:// make the REST API with an async function const response = await updateLicense(config.access_token, employeeNumber, licenseNumber); // dispay the results of the processing output.text(response) Unfortunately, the code doesn't wait for the updateLicense function to complete.  Any ideas?

Hi. I've taken over managing an airtable database and I can't get two tabs to talk to each other. I basically want the Link To Another Record space to populate when I link to that resource from another tab. It's working everywhere else on this table, just not on the tab I've recently created. I don't know what I'm doing wrong?

Hi everyone! I'm trying to build monthly employee attendance with NFC tag. Basically when you "scan" nfc tag with your phone, it open up AT Form for submitting your entry or leave (start in the morning, start of the break, end of the break and end of work). In this form you can choose what type of entry or leave you're submitting. Name is preffiled (and linked to another table with personal information about Of course, when submitting the form, every entry from the form is in a new record. Is it possible to combine all four records into one (for one day)? And after that, I want to calculate duration (how long was one working and how long was on break). I tried by updating the field in another table, but I don't know how to define where (to which record) should information update (so for the specific employee and for a specific date). 

I've currently got an automation set to pull text fields from multiple records as a list into a Google doc. However, I'd like for the field names to not generate in the Google doc, just the content of the field. Hi there,Wondering if anyone could help me with a couple of formulas.I have an existing date field (DD-MMM-YY) and I want to create deadlines from this field as follows:1.  23rd day of the 9th month after this date; example - where source field is 31-12-2022, formula should result in 23-09-2023 and for 28-02-2023, formula should result in 23-11-2023.2.  23rd day of the previous month; example - where source field is 31-12-2022, formula should result in 23-11-2022 and for 28-02-2023, formula should result in 23-01-2023.3.  23rd day of the month that is 6 months earlier; example - where source field is 31-12-2022, formula should result in 23-06-2022 and for 28-02-2023, formula should result in 23-08-2022.For automations I would like the resulting dates to be in local format and up to now have been creating a secondary field using the DATETIME_FORMAT formula but wonder if there is any way to incorporate the DATETIME_FORMAT formul

I'd like to create an automation to send out a notice to individuals who did not meet their quota using data from a spreadsheet.So every week we get an individual's timesheet that is placed in a Google Sheet. Using this data, I'd like to make an automation to send out a notification to an individual if they have not completed their quota. With each failure of the quota, I'd also like to increase the amount of "Strikes" listed, if they reach 3 strikes, another notification is sent to a supervisor listing the person(s) that did not complete the quota. Relatively new to Airtable, any help is appreciated.

Anybody have a workaround to print out an Interface (physically or digitally as a pdf)? I have a Financial Dashboard that I would like to print and file at the end of each year.

I'm trying to build a system where users can copy a Roll Up/Look Up field of phone numbers directly from their phone. This field often has up to 20+ phone numbers.My current solution is to set up a pre-filled form that is accessible via mobile, in which the user will be able to highlight the pre-filled text within a single line text (pre-filled with the look-up field data). From here, users will be able to copy the data. It's a bit clunky.With the introduction of Interfaces on Mobile, I was hoping to build an interface that I could simply display the Roll Up field. However, on mobile, these fields are a bit difficult to copy out. It's still easier to use the Pre-Filled Form where users can "select all" text.Ideally, there would be a button to just copy text or a better way to display the Look Up/Roll Up fields in a way that's easily selectable to be copied. If anyone has a better suggestion for me rather than using a useless form that would be amazing!

Hi. When looking at a calendar view with a shared link on mobile the user has to swipe around (e.g., left and right) to see all the days of the month. Also, when clicking an event, the popup with details is larger than the screen. One can click the diagonal expand/shrink icon and the popup fits the screen; however, this isn't default.Is this normal? Is it not possible to get a responsive view that fits the calendar to the width of the phone? Is it not possible to get the calendar entry popup to fit the screen by default (rather than having to hit a button)?Thank you.

Hi, I want to create an automation that creates different events based on a form submission and pushes them to our website. 80% of all the events organised are recurring and we have over 400 per month. Recurring in this case means weekly, bi-weekly, certain day of the month or certain day in a specific week.Currently have two tables set-up (check table for internal purposes & live table). The live table contains all the events for the current month and are 2-way synced with the website.Struggling with the events that take place after the current month. For the 80% recurring about 20% is able to small changes (e.g. same date, but different location or starting time). Whenever an event passed, the event itself is automatically swapped with a new upcoming one to maintain the live URL on the website, instead of creating new pages for every event.What would be an efficient way to easily moderate the all the upcoming events? I am trying to create an automation to transform a row with multiple linked records to multiple rows, each with one linked record. Ideally, they would appear on the same table. This is for a historical database where I track where people were over time, and it has four tables:(1) Location (registries of where people were at a particular moment in time)(2) Place (a list of cities where people could appear)(3) Person (a list of people, some of whom had the same name)(4) Reference (a list of archives where I get my information from)On the Location table, I have several registries where multiple people appear at the same place at the same time. Is it possible to create an automation to transform those rows into multiple rows, one for each person? I have to check if record still exist before making updates on it, but when I use "find" JS API method I receive 403: You are not authorized to perform this operation response on non-existing records. Same situation with the update method.When I use these methods on existing records everything works fine. Also current API-user have permissions to create new records.I use Personal access token with data.records:read, data.records:write scopes.Please help me to figure out why I get so strange response on non-existing record.

Basically, I want to do a Count with a dynamic condition on a date, which is not possible in the Count field settings.I have three linked tables:1 table A "Contracts" with insurance contracts. It has an anniversary date field.1 table B "Vehicles" linked to table A for vehicles attached to insurance contracts. It includes two fields with a date of entry into the fleet, and a date of exit from the fleet.1 table C "Annual periods" is linked to table A contracts. It contains the annual entry and exit periods created from the contract anniversary date.What I want to do is obtain from table B "Vehicles" to table C "Annual periods" a count of the number of vehicles:1 - on the entry date,2 - on the period exit date.The calculation of the count

Hi there- I am building an event calendar, and we have 4 different "tracks" occurring simultaneously. I'd like for things on the same track to appear next to each other. See below, how the two yellow sessions are separated. Any ideas on how I might get these to appear together? I tried sorting by "Schedule" which is the field that controls the color of the block.  Thanks in advance for the help!

I am new to Airtable and the database had me the permission to edit it. I am trying to add an option to choose from but I can't seem to "edit" nor "add" an option when trying to add one. How do I successfully do it? Edit it and input the desired option I want to add.

Dear AT Community!I'm collecting arrival and departure dates for an event setup period from workers. They can register through a form. In my base now I have two date fields with an arrival and a departure date for each worker. The setup period spans from 5th May to 16th May.The question is: How many workers are on site each day?In order to answer that question I created 8 formula fields and wrote a simple formula to extract the needed information from the date fields. The output looks like this:Now in the bottom row the sums are given which equal the number of workers on site each day.I tried to create a bar chart in an interface showing the days on the vertical axis and the number of workers on the horizontal axis. To no avail. Any ideas on how to approach this would be appreciated. I'm kinda stuck.Best regardsHenry

Hi guys!Is it possible to have URL in primary field? So that the URL is hidden behind some text (rich text formatting). Like you can do in other fields:So now I have this:One field is brand and the other is model (here I added URL). Primary field is brand + model. When I embed this view into my blog post, reader needs to click on the primary field and from that it opens up window where he needs to find it and click on URL one more time. I don't want that additional step (click) and honestly I think that reader won't find it quickly. Or it can be confusing.Is there a way to add rich text formatting in primary field?Thanks!

Hello all. I have been using AirTable for the last two years as a way of managing around 100 hard drives for the post-production company I work for. For the last year we have started to use a cloud system, however, this system has a set amount of storage that we pay for ‘working projects’ and the plan with this system is that after a certain amount of time it gets moved to a ‘glacier storage’ on the cloud which costs less to us. There is also a fee to move that a project that is in ‘glacier storage’ back to the ‘working project’ storage. All of this will need to be pasted back to our clients. So I need to have a database where I can input each project storage size and the database then calculates how much the cloud storage will be over the year and also how much it will cost to retrieve these items. So far my database consists of various identification cells (project name, client, etc) as well as couple of formula columns that work out what the total storage of each project i

Hi! I'm a flower farmer, trying to teach myself Airtable.I wanted to keep track of my tulips from year to year and set up a base. I need suggestions on how to organize this better!  Each type of tulip might have a different harvest date from year to year, and its possible I might buy it from a different source from year to year. Maybe I like one company's bulb over another, etc.   I think I'll add a price per bulb as well, which will change from year to year.   Should I set up a new table for every year and then bring that data together? What makes the most sense?  My main goal is to be able to see the big picture of different bulbs to help me decide what to order in the future.  Any advice is super helpful for this newbie!!Thanks!!
