 We are planning to use record templates in our organization for records (jobs) that we build a lot. We will probably reach the 100max limitation, which is fine. The problem is that every time I add a new record template, I have to go to the interface, remove all templates and then add them again so they are on order. Otherwise, the template that I add at the end will be at the bottom of the list and it will be difficult for my team to find that template. I tried dragging them up/down but it won't work.I would like to have the below sorted by name;For example:Cherrys: E12738Flender: E10346Shibaura: E11334

So with the linked records field you can limit the available records to a view. I would however like to link a record to a certain view within another table. So if I click on the link I would like it to take me to a certain view in another table. This view will be different for each link though (although limited). So I have a table column with tools for example. That will list Blade. Now if I click on blade I would like it to take me to the view of all the different blades in the Tools table. I don’t just want to link to all of them because that would be horrendous to click through all of them. Any ideas?

Hi everyone,I keep having an issue with the URL to the attachment script. It works great for some links but there's a URL that keeps having the same issue: the script runs, it shows a gray icon, and then it automatically deletes the data from those cells. The URLs are public so that shouldn't be the issue. I have two bases: Contacts and Matters. In Contacts, there are two tables: People and Companies. In Matters, I have a table (Matters) with a field for Clients. I know i can sync People and Companies to the Matters base. However, is there a way to link the records for People and Companies to the Client field? I only see a way for one or the other.

Hey guys! I am having issues with resyncing projects from a base sync. It's a back and forth sync meaning I sync the projects from base (Project Tracker) to a finishing base (Internal Finishing) that then syncs back to Project tracker with new information. I currently have an automation to relink the projects to a new linked field in the Finishing Information sync to the project that matches the project name in the project single line field (originally linked in in Internal Finishing base), but for some reason it will sometimes link all the projects to it even when there is clearly a matching project name.When I try to convert the Finishing Information Project link from a single text line to a linked field it doesn't recognize the project names and the field is blank (doing this works with Personnel names, but never with projects). Doe

i have been using airtable for 5 years. My team uses it quite extensively- particularly for automations. however, for the life of me, i cannot seem to create a useful interface. i have tried time and again. i see the promo videos, where interfaces look amazing. so i go in and try again. and almost immediately, i get bogged down. does anyone have a youtube guide they can recommend?For airtable base topics, Gareth from GAP Consulting has been my go-to guru for years. everytime airtable drops a new feature, i wait for Gareth to cover it in one of his videos, and it all becomes clear. however, even Gareth has failed me when it comes to building interfaces.my team is going to be onboarding a new set of users soon. and i have a feeling that an interface could be a real asset to the new users- so they don't have to deal with ALL of the data and can just focus on the parts that apply to them.any suggestions for guides on building interfaces? than

We used to have all of our employees invited to each base as a user rather than the workspace because we had some bases with sensitive info. We've now moved the sensitive bases to a new workspace and invited all of our employees to the workspace so they have access to everything. However, when we go under Account > Base Collaborators it still shows all of the individual bases that they were originally added to. For managing access it's much nicer to just see who has access to the whole workspace and who has access to only some individual bases as we still have some people that only need base access.It seems the only way to clean this up would be to remove the workspace access, then painfully remove access for each individual on each of the probably over 100 bases we have, then re-grant access to the workspace. Is there any other way to fix this? To Airtable, suggestion that if someone goes from base access to the workspace access to clean up the view for us.

This might not be possible (especially since our nonprofit is on a free plan) but we have a number of projects that require review by our general counsel before they can finish. We have a tab with the start and end dates of each project. Our General Counsel just sent us several ranges of dates when she'll be especially busy and need more time than usual to provide her review.The base started with just the "Projects" tab, with each project's start and end date. I've created a new tab for "Compliance Challenge Dates" with a name, a start date, and an end date. I have a field where people can enter a birthdate. I want that to show up on a calendar view in Airtable. Unless the year is the current year, it's not showing up on the calendar. I tried using a formula field but then I can't get the formula field to show up on the calendar. How do I get it so people can enter the actual birthday say 2-6-68 but have it show up on a Feb 2024 calendar view in airtable? Also, do I need to do anything different so that in 2025 it would show up in Feb calendar view?

Hi all. I was wondering if there is a possibility to use a formula to have the quarterly date shown automatically. I want to link it with automations, to send reminders each quarter in the year.Specifically I need this function, to be reminded to collect invoices each quarter. In my case the quarters are as followed:Q1 Jan - MarQ2 Apr - JunQ3 Jul - SepQ4 Oct - DecSo the formula field should automatically show ex. March 31, 2024. With the automation that I would then add it gets triggered once this date is reached. As a result then, once March 31 was reached, the field should update to the next quarter June 30, 2024 and so on. Which should make it easier to track and remind myself/the team to collect the quarterly invoices. Hope this makes sense.

I am trying to figure out how to create a formula that would remove the text before a URL in a field.Example:Website: http://2pillarschurch.comHow do I remove the Website: portion so it just shows the URL?

If I change the default value for a field will the new default value only apply to newly added records?  Or will this cause existing records to be updated with the new default value also?

Good Day, I need assistance with a formula, I would like to count the status of registered learners for a specific project. I tried the Counta formula but the numbers does not add up correctly. It shows for example 2 learners registered against the project code, but none of the learners are registered yet, therefor should show 0? COUNTA({Learner registration status},"Registered")

Hi,I am a Airtable newbie and am having a bit of a challenge figuring out how to properly link 2 tables.  Table 1 (Vehicles) stores Vehicle data - Plate, Make, Model, etc. Table 2 (Fuel Log) stores  - Plate, Litres and Fillup DateI would like to include a field in Table 1 that shows the total litres for each vehicle.  I have tried linking by Plate (not sure if that is correct) and can't figure out how to show the total litres in table 1. I would also want to be automatically update the total in the Vehicles tables when a new row is added in the Fuel Log table.Would appreciate any assistance.ThanksSteve

In our workflow, users can be assigned to the same record multiple times. I need a way to track how many times a user was assigned to a record and, ideally, list the record name to which the user was assigned. Is there a way to do it with automation, or is it better to do it with the formula?
