Hey there!I've been having problems calculating and displaying a metric through Interfaces. My ideal end use will be displaying the rate/calculation in a chart so it can be displayed overtime, but I'll settle right now for being able to set the number to a Number Element if it's too hardSo - I'm trying to get the metric Contacts per Purchase. I have a contacts table that has all the contact information plus two relevant fields deal_status (single select) and email_date (date lookup field from the campaigns table).This metric would be easy enough in other system because it would be the simple (Count Contacts / Count {deal_status} ="Purchased") grouped by email_date month buckets or dashboard filtersGiven that neither the Numbers or the Charts elements allows for internal calculations, does anyone have an approach to this issue? I'd rather avoid heavy automation of nested linked because of volumeAnyhow, open to any suggestions or approaches! 

I am looking to update multiple linked records w/ the current time/date in one table when a button is clicked in another table.Here is a screenshot (shows checkbox, but a button would be my preference).I tried creating an automation but if I understand correctly it is not possible to run an automation on multiple records. So I believe I may need a script.I know enough to be I can make small edits to a script but if someone could help get me started and confirm if this is possible it would be a big help.Any and all guidance welcome and appreciated. Hi! Enjoying the automation features of Airtable. It would be great to be able to sort the records found via the “Find Records” automation before sending them to the next step. As of now, they are sorted by the time the records were created, which is logical but seldom what we’re looking for. Thanks!

Is there a way to use formulas in the Send an Email or other action in Airtable automations that takes the data from a Find Records step and does some simple manipulations with it, like a SUM() function of all properties of listed records?In my example, I charge my car off of an electrical outlet in front of my landlord's house and pay them each month for the electricity I use. I have a base with an entry for each charging session that calculates the money I owe for each charge. I can easily send an email with a list of all the charging sessions for the previous month, but I would like to send a sum of the cost property (a formula field in the base that outputs numbers) instead of just the list of individual entries.What seems like the most simple way to do it would be something like a "Formula" action that takes data from previous steps and manipulates them using the Airtable Formula Field reference, and then lets subsequent action (update record, send email) use the results from that

Just recently noticed when printing from a list interface, the field headers are now off center from the data below it when printing / PDFing. They appear aligned as they should when viewing the interface itself, but are off once you print. And this is different than the field columns I have for the next level up on the hierarchy, I know those can be resized independently.Anyone else see this happening?Interface view herePrinted view hereUsing this function to export PDF reports daily so hoping I can find a fix to make this look more organized again. Currently using Arc, but happens in Chrome as well of course. Haven't been able to get this view to ever print fully in Firefox or Safari, but in the portion that will show up when printing, the headers are still misaligned.

My Customers book appointments through google calendars. When they book I want their info to be added as a new contact in my airtable base. The issue is that the info doesn't show up clear and their email, phone number, and name all show up as one massive gargle with page breaks and such. How can I tell airtable what info to pull for what column (name, email, phone number)? Also, Once this data get cleaned I want to set up an automation to add that contact to google contacts so that when someone calls their name shows up on my phone. Is there a way to link their airtable customer history to their google contact? 

Hi there, I am wondering if it is possible to assign records a queue number? I have created a view that would be great if all records in this view are numbered >1 and all other records 0 or something similar. This is so customers can log in and see their order is number xxx in the queue. Thanks!

I'm trying to update a long text field with rich text, but the documentation seems all over the place,How do I update the field via a POST request? (or any other way).For context, Airtable says that Markdown is supported in rich text fields which is partially true. Hello everyone. Looking for a way to share an interface form (registration for one of our programs) but  not allow submissions yet. We want to promote the program, show where to register but we do not want to allow submissions to the program for about a month.  Any advice?

Hello everyone,I have two tables. Table 1 contains campaigns and table 2 contains events. The events can then be linked to the campaigns with a linked data record. Now I would like a notification to be sent to the creator of the event if something changes in the campaign.I would also like to display both the campaigns from Table 1 and the events in a timeline overview. TL;DR: Do I just need to replace my Airtable API key with the new personal access token or is there anything else?I read about the Airtable API key depreciation notice that says API keys will no longer work from Feb 1, 2024.I am using the official NPM library airtable.js in my Next.js project. This is how I am configuring Airtable in my codebase: const base = new Airtable({ apiKey: process.env.REACT_APP_AIRTABLE_API }).base( process.env.REACT_APP_AIRTABLE_BASE ) To adhere to the new changes, I have created a personal access token from `/create/tokens` as mentioned in the development guide. Then, I changed the value of `REACT_APP_AIRTABLE_API`in my `.env` with the token generated from `/create/tokens`.What else do I need to do? Hello everyone,I have created an Approval / Status Process for a table. The following options are available: Planning is automatically selected when a new element is created. Then a user should be able to select Ready to Review but none of the other options. This starts an approval process. After approval, the status is automatically set to Approved. Now the user should be able to switch back to Realization but none of the other statuses. Completed is automatically selected when the end date has passed.How can I ensure that the user can only select the desired options? Thank you and best Regards.

Hi!I'm trying to design a database where products are made up of a number of different units. Let's say there are a maximum of 10 types of units, but the quantity differes from each product.For example:The product Box1 consists of 64 units of part X and 64 units of part YBox2 consists of 12 units of part XBox2 consists of 128 units of part X and 400 units of part Z.How do I design the database to make it easy to add a new product and enter information about the units?

Hi there I do not have found a solution on the community or the web to my problem I try to resolve using AT. I have a huge library of books. Instead of typing all books into a AT database (e.g. Book Catalog provided by AT) I would like to Scan the ISBN bar code (which is on each book) and populate my database with author, title, year etc. - basically all the record available on apps such as goodreads etc. After all, the barcode can be read easily, it should after reading “simply” populate the record with the relevant data. Does anybody have any idea to do this? I have read, that it may be possible using API - but I have never worked with this. If so - could anyone give me some initial information how this could be achieved? Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks

Hello Airtable Community,I am currently facing a challenge with importing data into Airtable and properly linking it to existing lookup fields. I have a set of customer names that I've exported from a FileMaker database into a CSV file, and I'm trying to import these names into my Airtable base. My goal is to link these imported names to a lookup field that references customer names in another table.Here's a brief overview of my setup:I have a table (let's call it "Customers") that contains a list of customer names.There's another table where I'm importing my data (let's call it "Orders").In the "Orders" table, I have a lookup field that should display information from the "Customers" table, based on the customer names.The issue I'm encountering is that the imported customer names from FileMaker are not correctly linking to the existing customer names in the "Customers" table, hence not populating the lookup field as expected. Hello,After the customer submits a request form to the client for order fulfilment, if the client has a follow-up question for the customer - Is there a feasibility/workaround to submit a comment/question on the request so that it can be re-directed to the customer for further clarifications/information? Can somebody suggest a workaround? I'm looking to run a script when a record is created which would created a new form for that individual record. I need to do this because when clients will be using the forms, I can't have them be able to add data to other clients so by default I'm creating a form with the default values that can't be changed. Does anyone have a better solution to this problem or is there a way to do this?

I have a base that has all of our employees (~200) in a people tab. Every month our finance department sends me an updated Excel with everyone that months actuals in terms of employees. Given the number I would like to be able to CSV import this file and then be able to update the people, as well identify who is no longer on the list - and who is new to the list. Additionally, it would be helpful to be able to use this information in the extensions/interfaces to show charts on the over month-to-month headcount change.I think I will need to have some record indicator for each person that the records can align to but every idea I have had so far seems overly complicated.

Hi there.I am trying to create a voting system in airtable. Basically, I am hosting an awards show kind of thing (think oscars kinda structure) where people are nominated for awards, and judges vote on the nominees. There are 2 rounds: round 1, each judge in each award catagory individually rates each nominee by a set of 5 criteria; round 2, all the judges from every award get together and vote which of the top 3 from each award should win the award. I am currently finishing up round 1, and am running into a few issues. The issue that I would like to address here is about a "Power Point" or "Je Ne Sais Quoi" point that each judge is able to give 1 nominee per award (its basically there so that if a judge thinks one nominee deserves an extra point they can give it to them). The issue is that as my base is set up right now, a judge can add this Power Point to multiple nominees. Ideally I would like to make it so that if a judge decides to add the power point to another nominee, it r

I have a base that is designed to be refreshed with data from a CSV file periodically. It has about 140 fields right now and I need to add approximately 50 more. I would like to be able to do this using the CSV Import app, but I can’t find a way to have it load data into existing fields AND add new columns to the base at the same time. I have field descriptions entered for most of the existing fields, which is a big reason why I don’t want to just start over with a new import to create the new fields. If I could get and set field descriptions via API, that would be another route to my goal, but I haven’t found any evidence that’s possible. Am I stuck adding the new fields one by one or is there another way? Thank you for any light you can shed.
